Hi everyone, this week I am very happy to tell you about four new Video Store releases.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
From visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) comes this visceral thriller based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s best seller. Benjamin Walker turns in a killer performance as Abraham Lincoln, who must risk the presidency, his family and his life to protect America from bloodthirsty vampires.
Available to buy in Australia from 28th November 2012, priced AU$24.99. Available now in the UK to rent, priced £3.49.
Ted
From Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, Ted is a must-own comedy about a grown man (Mark Wahlberg) and his lovably profane talking teddy bear.
Available to rent now from £3.59/AU$5.99 or purchase from £11.99/AU$24.99
Magic Mike
Channing Tatum (Step Up) sizzles as the irresistible Magic Mike – the shining star act in ‘Xquisite’ – a steamy men’s dance show. Along with Dallas (Matthew McConaughey) Mike takes young dancer, ‘The Kid’ (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing to school him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women and making easy money!
Available to rent now from £3.59/AU$5.99 or purchase £11.99/AU$24.99.
Killing Bono
As a punk schoolboy in Dublin in the 1970s, Neil McCormick wants to be famous, he wants to be a rock god. Neil and his brother Ivan have it all worked out – the albums, the stadium concerts, the quest for world peace.
Available to buy in Australia from 28th November 2012, priced AU$24.99. Available now in the UK at £6.99.
All titles are available from PlayStation Store in glorious 1080p HD!
I wish you a very good week!

2010 –> in the last week to 2011
in 2011 the whole year pro-misses and then 2012 to make it the definatly
then it became 2012 and sony benesux had to deliver
but SONot’s BENESUX screws their customers again

it was stated to get the release in Q3 of 2012
but the moment it is Q3 in 2012 ,sony releases another press event

I don’t like doing this, but I’m going to complain in a similar vain to LoneHawk89 and others. I’ve just bought an Interactive Television box so I can watch shows when I want to. It’s a Cisco box, and while it definitely offers what I expect, the user interface is amazingly ugly and clunky compared to almost anything on the Playstation 3.
But together with the 360 now, this ugly, 199 euro box is all I have for renting movies, basically, and I just can’t believe that after all this time, Sony can’t manage to sell movies on the Playstation 3. It is no surprise that among my colleagues, I’m one of those very rare people that actually pays for games, movies and music. Stuff like Music Unlimited is really great, and I’m hoping so very much that Video Unlimited is still coming to the Netherlands.
Perhaps subtitle support for the Vita is a tiny, hopeful glimmer of a chance that countries like ours are still going to get it? Because if you think about it, the fact that we don’t even need dubs, like Scandinavia and several other countries, means that we are quite a sizeable (and wealthy, with exceptional good distribution of wealth at that) market at the moment, that is not being properly catered for.

I’m going to jump on the bandwagon as well as I see the Dutchies complaining.
I had enought of this game Sony. We’re like 3 years behind the rest of some Northern European countries.
Anno 2012 and we still don’t have the video store. Also don’t come with a store where you’re going to rip us off. Come with cheap prices or at least decent prices. We’re waiting and waiting for something which probably will come to the next console of Sony.
Don’t say that there are a lot of parties with whom you have to make an agreement. Just do it.
To be honest to whom are we talking. Since a few days Sony got the ‘junk’ status. They’re not powerfull as they where in the past.

Sorry, I’ve got to chime in: where’s the Video Store in Switzerland??
Never got an answer to the following question:
How is it, that MS manages to offer a video store in Switzerland for several years now and Sony who owns a studio, doesn’t offer ANYTHING?

Come on sony ! It’s the 21st century after all. You group a lot of very different countries into one region then pick and choose what each individual country actually receives !
Next gen give people the option between two world stores one in english and one in different languages. That way your customers can choose between which store they wish to sign up for !

So when will the rest of Europe get this feature?
It’s pointless to post this on the EU blog if the main part of the EU cannot acces it. And for the love of good even Mickeysofts Xbox has more functionality in Holland then the PS3. Sony get your head out of your ….? and step it up.

They can’t hear you Mutts. Their head is already inside the place where the sun doesn’t shine. Even if they could hear you, they would be proud enough to ignore you and all of us.
