“Heads-up” PlayStation Store update 5th December 2012

I have tried to contact customer support (Nordic Film Hotline) but as per usual they are not responding. My problem: when I try to buy PS Plus – be it for 3 months or 12, I am met with the response: “We’re sorry, this product cannot be purchased at the time.”???

I have a three month trial running through a code I received but that shouldn’t have any influence as it is possible to stack the memberships.

Any trophy hunters out there, if you are getting Vanquish c/o plus later, then good luck on getting the plat, it is crazed, the story itself is doable, but then those collectables you have to shoot, frustrating but again doable, but when you unlock the challange arena, my God, it’s like WaW on vet, and all for a gold. truly a great game and good bragging rights, if you can beat it. i kept getting to round 3 forever, but i still hadn’t found all the collectables, (statues) so i told myself i could leave it at that, and blame the ‘stupid’ (lol) collectables, who am i kidding. seriously i know Batman is good, but you defo got to try Vanquish, pure brilliance, even though i am still to beat it. only problem i found is that after playing it, i just couldn’t get into crysis2, it was just ‘boring’ i guess it must be the similar nana/tech suits that were in story, or prob Are the story.

de3bs0, Dawnguard isn’t there problem, it’s bethesda’s, The ps3 will be getting dragonborn next year so there probably on track with getting the others fixed now.

XBOX £32, US Store $49.99, EU Store £41.99…..Really??

Yeah, I wonder too, how soon ‘soon’ actually is. It doesn’t matter that much, though. If we get Spyro before 2013, I will be happy

I will probably get some of the Capcom stuff at half price. Capcom always overcharge for their downloadable games but at £4 a pop, its much more tempting.

Shame about the lack of space on my memory card though..

Can someone help? I want to get the Marble Run Dynamic Theme, but when I checked out nothing was added to the downloadlist. It’s not on the downloadlist, but I also tryed to add the theme to my basket again to see if that works, but I get a error when I try to add it to my basket. Now I can’t add it to my basket and I can’t download it from my downloadlist because it’s not there.

One more thing, I resubbed to PS+ and all the content I got from PS+ has been readded to my downloadlist with new dates, which means all the old stuff I got from PS+ is now on top of the downloadlist which is very frustrating if I want to see what I downloaded. Is this normal?

To those having Issues Downloading things via the Store DLC For Example and having the PS3 DLC Converted to a PSP Required DLC Please do not Download them from the Store as the Store Confuses the Download Type as the Store is still broken and will not process the Download as it should be. I had this issue with Wipeout HD Re Downloading the Fury Expansion It kept saying the DLC was for a PSP when It wasn’t and was for the PS3 Version. If you want to get the Correct DLC Then go to your Account Management. Download List this will bring up the Old PSN Store without the use of the Terrible Broken App and you can Download the Original Download from there with No Issues.

Another Note: Jawad Ashraf can you please advise me why I’m getting a Constant Error Trying to Download anything New from the Store? It gives me an Error Twice will Clicking Add To Basket then it Exits the Store on the 3rd Time.

Just please bring back the Old Store. This New one is broken and rarely proceeds with Requests and the Correct Downloads. Fed up of it.

Your code IS the problem, the same thing happened Last Year, over in the support forums, and that was the reason, Because the guy was using a plus code he had won, he couldn’t renew, Until the free one had expired, so it looks like they still haven’t fixed that.. Good news is you don’t lose any content as when your present sub does expire, you have a few months to resub, and keep whats allready ‘rented’, But bad news, you can’t renew and stack up while the 12 deals offer is on.. am sure if you get a reply it’ll be ‘contact customer services’, well that ‘might’ work, But it didn’t last year. i mean you would think that CS could bypass this problem, ie take payment from you over the phone, for the cheaper deal prices, then just activate or send you a code out, after you have let sub lapse.. but that was Not possible last year, the guy wanted to get the 12 month for £29.99 offer, But maybe they can at least do that much now, like a Year later.. good luck anyway.

i put the batman game (free coz of psplus) in my cart and when i downloaded i noticed there was catwomen dlc with it, did i just get a free deal and something to be happy about or did i accidentally download dlc that i didnt mean to pay for?

You get the Catwoman DLC Free as well so it seems! I’ve made sure I have Password on Check Out Ticked if I make a purchase with any Funds so I know for sure if I pay for something or not.

Last week you promised you’d gimme an update on my PS All-Stars PS3 pre order bonus issue.. It still says ‘Auto Download nov 17′ and the add-onn still says ‘unavailable when I manually look for it.

Also would like to know if Uncharted 2 (digital) DLC incompatibility has been resolved or not.

Question: Sonic All Stars Racing for PS3 and Vita.
Is there some sort of cross-buy or cross-save that you know off??

I already asked Sega three (!) times but their social media team is the most ignorant bunch of unprofessionals.
They don’t even react to inquiries from customers let alone answer.

Various error messages, checkout process repeatedly crashes the console. My other devices work fine so it’s definately PSN.

For those having trouble with Limbo, it only seems to work if you do a search for it. I couldn’t get it to work in the Playstation Plus section but manually searching for Limbo gave me the option to download it for free.

Also I wanted to buy “Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max – 50% off” but I can’t find this anywhere on the store. I’ve searched for it 5 times but it doesn’t look like it’s even available.

BioWare which they own Mass Effect series is actually owned by EA now. It used to be a Microsoft Xbox exclusive before EA bought the franchise and the company. Remember back in the decade BioWare used to be independent company until EA bought the company thus making Mass Effect go multiplat.

RE: Infamous issue, the message said to connect a PSP to install this item, followed by instructions on how to connect a psp. Odd considering when i first downloaded it back when we got free games for the downtime it was for the PS3. Maybe something happened when it got moved to the Essentials section.

I also have this 9.99 for LIMBO at the checkout, despite being a plus member, and if if I press that it then says ERROR.
Why oh why is there ALWAYS some issue or other with the store on store publish day? Its getting beyond a joke now. I think 2012 has been a downright terrible year for SCEE and their ability to deliver online digital content. Titles are often frustratingly delayed, along with little to no explanation, and when and if they do arrive, the process from provider to consumer can sometimes be unreliable. Such as not been able to purchase said item, or said item having bugs that really should have spotted and ironed out. Then to top it all off, what little is explained on this blog to resolve such issues, is either ignored, or not deemed important.
Quite simply its because SCEE are in the dark as much as we are, they do’t know what they are doing. Lately this blog just feels like its being run by the marketing department, ONE BIG ADVERT in disguise as a blog. SCEE, take a leaf out of SCEA and SCEJ’s book. Whats the book called? Customer Service.

How come Mass Effect 3 has jumped up to £60!? It was £20 the other week too, it’s crazy how that’s raised, And £58 for the Trilogy is just too much too.

A little bit random of a request but could we get a deal/price drop on the DLC charaters for Blazblue: Continuum Shift? There’s long been a extended cut of the game available with the extra characters included and the limited edition of both that, and the original Continuum Shift are cheaper to buy new than the DLC!

Not all DLC for Tokyo Jungle is on the gamepage under add-ons, like the toki toro stuff we got earlier for free with Plus. It’s on my download list no doubt, only a couple of pages down, but the store will just show time out errors and quit back to XMB. sigh…. Please fix up the store with something that can handle your download list even if it has hundreds of items in it?

The new store is really, really bad, seriously. I’ve stopped browsing the store altogether because of the unordered mess. It should show latest items by default (because eventhough that should do it already, it really doesn’t). Now I have to go up, right, into the dropdown-menu, and then it’s THE LAST item on the freaking list… Who designed this?! And bundle rock band / singstar crap together somewhere so I don’t have to scroll through loads of useless icons.

Oh, it’s not toki toro lol, it’s the Pluchen Toro, locoroco, overlord and so on. The pluchen pack that’s missing from add-ons on gamepage of Tokyo Jungle.

Limbo not working ,when you click to download the game it just downloads the unlock.

I read your problem. Not sure what credit card you have but you could go to your credit card company with this problem. Explain it to them and tell them how the servicedesk reacted. They will make sure you get the money refunded that was paid to much and will give Sony a tough time.

Mass Effect 1 on PS3 = best store update ever!

For anyone who’s wondering, ME1 includes the Bring Down the Sky DLC, has trophies, and you can import your ME1 save into ME2, but you need to download a new update for ME2 first (it’ll prompt you to download it when you start ME2)

The Pinnacle Station DLC won’t be available on PS3 because the “source files” were apparently corrupt and couldn’t be used, but it’s not a story DLC so it’s not the end of the world.

Now if only you could revert the store back to it’s previous state so it wasn’t slower than the web in 1990 and broken like it currently is for me in the UK. Took about 5 minutes to add all 3 PS+ games to basket and now just getting “An error has occured” all the time.

The new PlayStation Store is total garbage. Even when it works it is a step backwards. Whoever thought it was a good idea needs to rethink it!

Just my opinion though. Everything else is great. All the freebies and stuff are awesome but the store lets it down big time!

Why is it not possible to buy PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale from the PS Store?(It doesn’t have a buy button).

Added multiple PS+ games to my cart and the store tried to charge me for Batman. Deleted the game from the cart finished my purchase and tried a again and purchase price were zero so there wasn’t really problem for me but it could be helpful for someone else or Sony to look into this.

Daaamn, it’s so slow. every button press will give me the five loading bars in the store for at least a minute. We’ve been spending so much time together, I’ve named the first bar ‘trol’ and the other bars are all called ‘lol’. I take it all back, forget fixing this new store… just bring the old one back. :/

I got a reply back from Activision about the Black Ops II season Pass price :

the price advertised by Activision is a manufactures suggested retail price.

So SCEE decided to add on a little bit extra to the price.

Store continues to get worse, cant dl the limbo demo as apparently it must be in my history (great, epic addition), which is unsearchable and unsortable , not only this but the store either crashes every minute or in the case of a few minutes ago doesnt show anything in the history (its there, the placeholders are there, they are just blank).
Very strange that the Batman DLC is being put up next week and not this one, hoping people just buy it o_o?
Finally, was there not meant to be 2 other PS+ things? one for Vita and one for both, something Knights?

zxRATTLE, I had a very similar issue, did you get the game as part of the WBP? my issue with R&C and Dead Nation were solved by going to account management >transaction management >download list>get it from there.
Its the old download list from the hybrid store (its not exactly the old one but it actually yknow works), grab it from there, should work.
Gunna look for LIMBO there actually …yeah got the trial again, folks if the store doesnt work go do that, it sucks MUCH less.
as a sidenote, did we ever get Gotham City Impostors? pretty sure it was PS+ for America a few months ago, surprised it wasnt here for us instead of idk Limbo? seems more aprapo :X.

I swear it worked for me without problems, I go to search, from search — > L –> I –> M –> LIMBO and the Trial and Unlock is there. so I download both the trial and then the unlock key as the key is on Plus. Then downloaded them both. Everything worked fine for me.

Is Mass Effect playable in English (with English voice over) if you download it from e.g. the German store?

Poor releases, fragmented market, lack of responses.. Kind of wondering, how much of a improvement would it be if all scee accounts was moved to scea, and scee got closed down? if that meant that we would get things at same time as US (and same stuff), it would be a huge improvement.. one can dream cant one? (Yes, I am getting bitter at the rather poor Customer service EU gets)

Cant you guys play nice whis NIS and get the games and DLC here? or atleast let UK accounts gift those games to us in the not avavible countries?

Or is it that the SCEE is stupid enough to demand native language descriptions on dlc when most countries in EU have a rather good grasp of english.
