“Heads-up” PlayStation Store update 5th December 2012

How come the mass effect trilogy on the store is £58?
I’d rather wait two days and get it for £44, Seems way too much for pure digital titles.
The price for Far Cry 3 is the amount i payed for the Collectors edition, which came with every bit of DLC available at launch.

I cannot found lbv festive costumes and pack, it’s only me?

@Dark angel, Yes the saves from ME1 are compatible with 2, When you boot up 2 it will have an update patch which lets you import.

The store is an absolute disaster. So much for the improvements! Anyone wanting to download the demos without the grief of using the EU Store try the US Store. It’s running a lot better.

I’m a plus member and when I download limbo it just downloads the full game unlock but no game!! Also Vanquish is showing up as £11.99 and not free. At least I got Batman but hope the other issues are sorted out

Failure to deliver competently, week after week… Well, at least one can’t say you’re not consistent.

Great now the apps option is greyed out and the Store is now really slow and sluggish. More problems means MORE FRUSTRATION!

That means you’ve already downloaded the trial at some point. Go to your downloads list and download it again.

When I try to download the demo of Limbo so I can have the game it always downloads the key to unlock the game. What do I do?

I had that problem before on a game a few months ago. I went to the search box and searched for the game and downloaded the trial. You must be only downloading the key instead of the trial. A good number of times I’ve seen only the key and no trial in the plus section. Have no space to try this out but i’d say it would be the same to me again

Somebody at Sony has to be scared for their job right now, as the new store is getting worse and worse. Took me five attempts to add Batman: AC to my cart.

Where are the updates, which should make the store faster and improve download list?
Why is the new store design a complete failure, eg. why is there a huge ad taking up half the screen in the PSN+ section, when you already are a PSN+ customer?!
Why is the latest DLC list sorted by DLC name and not game name?
Why are the “latest” sections hidden away on the third page?
Why don’t you take advantage of dual analog controls, when in the store. Scroll content with right analog, when in menu with left analog.
Why is there no indicator, when an section is empty, sometimes you are wondering if it’s loading (see next problem) or if it’s slow.
Why is the new store so god damn slow.
Why is there not a quick-download for free items?
Why is the Apps section not properly updated?
Why do fatal errors, like people getting charged for free PSN+ games, keep happening?

Is a mystery to me, why the people at Sony can’t see these obvious problems and get them fixed right away.

Can you please start including the AU prices again.

Why there is ONLY Limbo Unlock key but no LIMBO trial? I got the key only, but no game. Duh?
PSS is lagging as hell, gives me server time out and is simply put shit to browse. Why SONY is changing things for worse with each iteration of new design for PSS is beyond me -_-

I’m having the same problem as this person. I searched the whole store for the trial but all I can get is the unlock key which is obviously useless without the trial. I want Limbo.

@spagetti69 Yes, you did say it, but it does not apear in the vita store,while some do say sideloading is compatible, unless its in the store on the Vita, I do not consider it fully supported by the vita.

The store this evening is horrendously slow. It’s practically unusable. What is going on Sony??

Can someone who deals with the actual store explain why it is so painfully slow and keeps crashing/throwing me back to the xmb with errors? (It also locked me out of the xmb and I had to reset the console..) Also why doesn’t the download list retrieve all the information it takes absolutely ages to load a pages worth of past downloads.. It’s getting to the point now I cant actually be bothered with the hassle of downloading anything it’s just a slow cluttered mess.

Why release something as important as the new store in such a state you do realise a shop needs to actually be functional for people to purchase things right?

went for rayman for vita as i had set aside cash for the 12 deals of Christmas but as thats been a non starter for me so i decided to grab this.

not had much to say on the subject till now but the store is really starting to bug me now, its been quite a while now since launch and the kinks just dont seem to be getting ironed out fast enough.

the store looks nice enough but looks are one thing it all comes down to functionality which the new store is lacking big time, it is too slow and the thing with trials and unlocks is just stupid.
personally i feel a company should not be putting barriers in the way of customers wanting to buy there products but at the moment we have far to many.

the only update i have seen so far is the addition of a new this week tab(which was needed) but far more is needed before the store is up to scratch.

i really hope these issues can be resolved soon.

Hi Jawad, your suggestion of donwloading the demo for Limbo didn’t work. I was all night browsing trough my download list with 723 items to download it.
This is horrible!
Also the downloadspeed is to slow for these (awesome) plus titles and big demo’s the store has. Sony needs to invest or my business will go somewere else.

Ah understood. Yes your right. I really don’t see why they don’t put them in the Vita store. Having a PS3 shouldn’t give you exclusive access. In that regards your right.

That’s some disappointing news. The moment I seen the original Bioshock was free with Infinite i got excited..until i seen it’s for americans only. Typical. Japan will have Kingdom Harts 1.5 reMIX as a japan exclusive, Americans giving themselves a free game and the rest of us gets nothing.

I cannot download Limbo or Cubixx HD on the AU playstation store with PS+. Only the unlocks are in the download list after purchase and I cannot find the demo on the store. Additionally I would like to purchase Tokyo Jungle but the PS+ discount is not applying.

Limbo is a massive mess in the store but its been answered here lots, open store, go to search tab at top, type limbo, download, sorted, played 1st 10 chapters just, ace!

I also agree with 268, give us resi 4 discount.

Just what the hell is gong on there SCEE? Not only is the new Store beyond pathetic when i try finding things but now its just plain BROKEN. Add to cart takes 30+ seconds and then confirm purchase took over a minute before i just gave up and quit the store.

Also, the Xmas deal for Tokyo Jungle? Since its been on there hasnt been the PS+ Discount and now there isnt ANY discount and its £9.99 again. Arent you embarrased? You should be because I AM!

Embarrassed to be such a big Playstation fan when you remove a perfectly good working store and replace it with this new abomination. I dont think i have EVER heard 1 single person who says they prefer this new store to the old one. Not 1 and ive got maxed out friends at 100.

About Limbo – I just clicked on the Free game unlock on the Plus section added that to cart (then 40 seconds later…..) clicked on ‘Game Page’ on the right hand side of this page and that took me straight to the trial, added that to cart which took ANOTHER 30-40 Seconds.

Honestly, how SUCH imcompetence is tolerated at such a big company is beyond me.

Can’t get Vanquish for free with PS+, it keeps charging 15 bucks :/

Glad to read all the comments about the store and i am not the only one hating it…. Come on guys brink back the old store that was perfectly fine and working great.

New store is slow, a nightmare to navigate and discouraging me to even spend money there. Nobody wants this new store so please just admit it wasn’t Playstation finest decision and make us happy with bringing back the good old psn store

Tokyo Jungle is showing as £9.99 for me in cart (I have PS Plus). Guessing this is happening with all discounted content. Pretty poor show. I hope this can be fixed before the deal ends but I’m not holding out hope to be honest, the whole store is dire at the moment.

(Netherlands will also 9/10 have no problem with english if better functioning store)
