“Heads-up” PlayStation Store update 5th December 2012

I don’t even regret buying Vanquish last week even though it’s “free” now. I’m overwhelmed with good games and this will be a busy December.
Thank you Fred, Jawad and Chris for making my PS experience as good as it is!
Awesome that the Catwoman dlc is included as well!

The Australian store still shows Tokyo Jungle at fullprice despite the fact it’s on sale, could this be fixed soon? The sale ends tonight/tomorrow so it would suck if Australians missed out on the offer.

The reason they whacked the price of Mass Effect 3 up (from a reasonable – for PSN anyway – 19.99) to 60 quid is in order to not undercut the price of the “new” Mass Effect Trilogy and make it appear better value.

Before the Mass Effect 3 price rise, you would have saved money buying the games individually and to cut a long story short – EA are money-grabbing arse-wipes.

If you don’t have enough space for any of the titles, don’t panic & delete unnecessary content. You can still activate it & an error message will display stating not enough space but rest assured, the title will still have been added to your download list, to download at your leisure for when you do have the space free.

yeah all in all a great month for plus but why do i keep gettin error code 80010038 when trying to install arkham city ??? everything else is cool …deleted and retried 4times i kno this aint the place but ……HELP

So SCEE set the price of the Black Ops 2 Season price to £41.99 when it had a suggested price of £35. I still don’t understand it, as SCEA charge $49.99 which works out roughly £31 so surely SCEE would charge £35??

having your subordinates repeating no comment over and over and over is beyond infuriating and totally unacceptable.

I personally could write a list as long as my arm detailing just the things I have found utterly wrong with the store, the network and SCEE in general starting with your downright awful communication, i wont thought because they are your mistakes and your problems and you not the customer should be finding them and sorting them as quickly as possible currently you seem to find it hard to even acknowledge the dreadful state SCEE is in.

Have just tried to download the Powerstone Collection as it is stated to be PS Vita compatible on the PS3 store. Upon checking my PS Vita download list, turns out for some reason it isn’t.

Not impressed.

Further to my last post, although saying it cannot be download via the Vita donwload list, the Powerstone Collection has been transfered from the PS3 to the Vita via the content manager.

Quite why a convulted workaround was required for this but not for Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded, I have no idea.

Netflix have just tweeted me to say that we (finally) should have the Vita app in the UK, but the app isn’t available on PSN. When will it be up for download?

first monkey ball was priced @ 24.99 on ps store but £14.99 retail and now its sonic all star racing priced at £34.99 on the store and £24.99 retail why?

I feel like I want to move to Steam now and thank god GAME now sells Steam vouchers. I mean this is what is it’s problem after problem. Now if Jawad isn’t replying, I know I think he must be busy with the store team fixing the glitches so I least I give credit to him for trying. Sorry but this horrible new store has to go but no offence, it’s nothing but a complete copy of Windows 8′s desktop menu. -_-

Dont bother even wasting your money on ANY themes, dynamic, premium or otherwise. I mean whats the point when our PS3s boot up to that damn Singstar app? Ive even sent an email to SCEE asking – no DEMANDING a refund for all the themes ive paid for over the last few years. I mean some people might think thats over reacting a bit but I dont and I’ll tell you why…..

False Advertising plain & simple. All themes on the Store have write ups and they all start with the line;

“PS3 experience begins with the XMB so why not customise the XMB with this theme” or something like that. But our PS3 experience on our XMBs does NOT start with these themes now does it? It starts with 2 putty haired XFactor wannabees holding microphones.

It is embarrassing whenever I have my mates round.
All in all SCEE has been amazing since E3 where PS+ is concerned but everything else is just THE most EPIC FAIL!

Is there any chance of a ps+ discount on Beat Scetcher? It’s been out for ages and my son is really into move games.

The “What’s New” on the store is a bit… Well… Pants. I have to resort to coming here every week and finding this post for a straight forward list. I miss that about the old store.

The “What’s New” only seems to show “New-ish” offers that Sony wish to display from the past couple of weeks.

No idea what you mean SlvrYeti. SCEE recently added subsections for the complete new content of the last week and one for the last month. It is exactly what we had in the old store too. It offers even more. Maybe you didn’t discover that yet?

posted earlier about being charged for vanquish or batman 19.99 im plus and it should be free .. rang support told get back to you within 24 hrs no answer called them back “we didnt say that ” erm they did jawad can you enlighten me as to who is the ombudsman for the store is it trading standards ie who do i complain to as speaking to support is not much help scee have my money and cannot provide me with a reasonable answer or timescale

Vanquish is showing as free for me on the PS Plus section, adding it to the cart however suddenly causes it as showing as 11.99. Anyone else with this issue?

Jawad, I can’t download Limbo via the Instant Game Collecton for PS plus members. Only the 6KB activation download. I can’t find the trial version nowhere in the Store so that I could activate it. Please help!

INSTEAD OF GETTING IT THRU PS PLUS MENU JUST GO TO SEARCH IN STORE – SEARCH FOR VANQUISH AND THEN IT IS SHOWING AS FREE EVEN WHEN YOU HIT PURCHASE – IAM DLOADING AT PRESENT – MUST SAY THIS IS AN AWSEOME GAME. NOT MUCH REPLAY VALUE BUT I AM GOIGN TO TRY I ON HARD MODE AS ONLY COMPLETED ON NORMAL MODE BEFORE TRADING LAST YEAR (POSS YEAR B4?)

My system never boots up to the singstar wallpaper, I have to actually have it on the icon for that to appear on screen. In fact it took me a few weeks to realise why people were getting so worked up as I don’t generally stay on the icon long enough for that to happen
The only reason I can think of for this is because I don’t buy new themes from the store, all mine are either old, downloaded wallpapers from random sites, or come from 3rd party publishers like Ubisoft, which makes me think that all NEW ones have something coded in them to make it default to Spamstar. Either that or I’m getting paranoid in my old age….

I prob wont get a response on here, but it says Batman is FREE for PSN+ users which I am but when I go to download it the store wants too charge me for it, So is the this blog wrong or is the store broke/wrong?

That is the issue I have. I go to checkout and it tells me it’s £19.99 not £0.00 like it should.

Good to hear Alundra and Tomba have finally been fixed to run at 60Hz. Took a ridiculously long time for it to happen but better late than never. I might actually buy them now.

Now how about all the others? Klonoa, Arc the Lad 1-3 and so on?

Store must be running real slow again. -_-
