Clap, Clap, Clap!!!…
I am floored by the deal. I was expecting a discount only for The Unfinished Swan today, and waiting for another discount on Journey in the future, but both of them together getting a discount? I am totally surprised by today’s deal, I didn’t expect Journey! I own none of those, so I am very pleased to see the offer. Of course, people who already purchased Journey won’t be as pleased as I am, but still it’s a very good deal.
As I fear that the next and final deals will be the new Hitman and Far Cry 3, which don’t impress me as much, this deal will likely be the last I buy for now, after picking 2 90-day PS plus subscriptions and Sleeping Dogs. I am looking forward to today’s newest sales when they’ll be announced on the Blog. Keep on surprising us Chris!!!

Nooooooooooo!!!!!
The first of these Christmas deals that I have actually been interested in and I cannot get it! I have just moved into a new home and I do not have internet until Friday and I also have no money until I get paid on Friday.
Any chance that Sony could extend this deal by one day just for me?! Please?!

As I LOOOVE my PSN games, I of course already own Journey. As do quite a lot others, I presume. But I have a sneaking suspicion you already knew this…
Seeing the swan in gift wrap, I had very much looked forward to getting this, as it is one of the few brilliant PSN games, I haven’t already bought.
Seeing the “offer” now, it doesn’t seem as much a gift as a ploy, and you really should be a little bit ashamed of yourself.

Yeah! Was expecting Unfinished Swan only, but including Journey is an even better deal for me, as I don’t have either. I can see whi this might disappoint some, who were expecting only US, but let’s not be spoiled brats, and enjoy the christmas spirit.
For some of us (like me), this present exceeded expectations, for some it wasn’t what they expected. For me, I can tell you my Deal is currently downloading

Chris/Fred (and to an extent Jawad),
I’m always first on your side to defend the human errors of the PSN updates.
HOWEVER, you clearly showed a swan wrapped in paper for this promotion so what conclusion did you think we were going to make; naturally that the Unfinished Swan (and that alone) was going to be on offer. I too bought Journey [day 1 in fact] which makes me feel you were false advertising from the beginning. Please can you discount Unfinished Swan (as advertised) alone (in the next 48 hours), or alternatively i’ll be forced to wait for it as a PS+ freebie, and Giant Sparrow will get nothing.
Why oh why, could you not have put Journey onto today’s [PS Store] Festive Sale instead?
As my parents/teachers [delete as applicable] once said, i’m not angry, i’m just disappointed.

@60/Macestation….
Like XBL, there is a site you can use to purchase games online now:
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/home/main
These should start downloading the next time you switch the PS3 on.

Great! Fantastic offer!
Except…I already own both games. Here’s the thing – both titles had a lot of critical positivity and a pretty hefty push from Sony, so to expect people to wait for a sale at the end of the year, feels like a kick in the teeth to those early adopters who are passionate and enthusiastic about playing new, original games that aren’t the run of the mill. Excellent for those that don’t already have either, but how many is that really?

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 7:40 am by Jamesyp00
Your taking the michael right!?
The ONLY Deal i was really excited for was getting the unfinished swan discounted, it’s been there for weeks waiting to be purchasable and you have to make it a double pack with a game a large majority has bought already!
Please make the unfinished swan a deal by itself like it looked to be.

We’re mad for not seeing this one coming really. Sony screw us over time and time again.
What’s a sure fire way of guaranteeing they don’t lose money by selling too many copies of Swan at a reduced price? By tying it to a title that everybody in their right mind has already bought.
Nice one Sony, you surprise us yet again with your failure to provide adequate customer service.
They should shut this whole site down now as it’s more than 50% people complaining and Sony couldn’t care less so the site serves no real purpose as a customer feedback/experience.

To all of you who are whining that this is a bad deal. Buy the other game separately for the full price and support the developers! It’s amazing to see how many people are breaking sony’s balls because they gave us an amazing christmas deal!
Thank you Sony! It was a nobrainer to get this bundle. Made my day
Looking forward to the last 2 deals.
Happy holidays!

@hbk2717
I’m pretty sure it’s Hitman: Absolution and Far Cry 3 dude.

Ugh. I was really looking forward to getting Unfinished Swan, but since I- like many others- have Journey already this deal is a “no deal” for me. Oh well. Hopefully there will be some good deals in today’s Festive Sale to “compensate” for this.

Jesus Christ, are you people really that hard to please?
For me this deal is amazing and I will be spendind money on PSN for the first time since Flower.”
First spend since Flower, eh?
As us complainers spend money by the bucketload on PSN Store, are you sure WE are the ones, that are hard to please?

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 8:09 am by Bjarno86
Consider it bought!
I was waiting for a discount on both of these games and now I can get them even cheaper together
But as has been already said this is a very bad deal for those who have already bought the best-selling game on PSN, Journey.

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 8:23 am by hbk2717
@Jamesyp00 – Thanks for that.
And for what it’s worth today’s the first time I might buy something out of these 10 deals so far.

I don’t like unfinished swan and so I don’t want it :\ I was really waiting for journey alone. I kinda feel like there pushing the other game down my throat -.-’
I don’t care if it’s 50% I’m not gonna buy something I don’t like and to pay that and have a game I’ll never play I rather buy journey alone at its standard price which it’ll not happen anyway because scee doesn’t deserv my money.

FAIL! Everyone who might want to buy Swan already have got Journey. IF there was Swan with 25% discount I might think of it. Otherwise will wait and buy Swan alone.

@iamthelloyd
That is handy to know. I thought I saw something about such a site a while back, but I had not seen it actually advertised anywhere so I was unsure if it had actually launched or not. Still though, my main issue is that I simply do not have any money to spare to buy these games until Friday (when I will also be renewing my PS+ subscription), so I am going to miss out on this great deal. Very annoying.

Please discount them separately or just The Unfinished Swan. I already have Journey.

As these titles were such massive sellers I expected and was going to wait for them to arrive on plus but at this price I would feel bad not giving the developers some money they deserve. Happy out with this deal, something to look forward too after work.

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 9:00 am by Carnivius_Prime
Pass. Unfinished Swan doesn’t appeal to me and Journey was pointless, pretentious and empty.

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 9:05 am by zxRATTLExz
Turned my PS3 on just after midnight and saw the offer. Better than expected for me as i was expecting just Unfinished Swan but got Journey as well. Best offer of the 12 days for me although i can understand why people with Journey already would be fed up. Still, if you have plus you wouldstill save a whole £1

Wow… what a way to get excited and disappointed at the same time.
Don’t get me wrong: the deal is GREAT! However, for those who already have one of the games, it is a punch in the stomach.
The Unfinished Swan was a Day-1 buy for me and I loved it. I’ve made a walkthrough on my YT channel and everyone was fascinated by the beauty of it. I was really looking forward to buy Journey… and now i’m just frustrated. Man, only if I could give one of the games as a gift to a friend…
It could be an AWESOME deal for everyone if it was 50% off on Journey and The Unfinished Swan individually. Sony, it would be profitable. Just think about it

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 9:06 am by bitbamboo
I feel offended by Sony. I will not forgive this
It is not because of what the deal is – it is a good one – but the way it has been offered
It is a bad practice of marketing to create an expectation for 20 days with consistent deals based on discounts and then put a bundle. This deal does not fit here.
It is absurd to make a bundle and use for promotion the least demanded product. It just does not makes sense. Journey will be remembered as one of the top 10 games of 2012 (or even the GoTY) and U. Swan has performed below expectations in sales and critics.
Very BAD marketing; last minute decissions must be thinked twice

I did not have either of these games and I wanted them both, so this is actually a perfect deal for me. But I can totally feel the frustration of the people who were waiting for Unfinished Swan alone and now they cannot buy it. I know I would be gutted.
I liked the promotion as a whole. I got the extra 3 months of PS+, Sleeping Dogs, Journey/Unfinished Swan and I may still buy Far Cry 3, depending on the discount.

As many have said above, I’ve also got Journey and I deplore that I can’t buy The Unfinished Swan discounted alone.

Well I suppose you can’t help it if you’ve already bought either of the two. I’m sold on this Deal heard good stuff about Journey/Unfinished Swan.

well, it sucks for me too, already have journey so i was really looking forward to buy “swan”… but so is business you just cant make everyone happy, you cant go to a retail store and ask for another deal because you already own something included in a bundle they offer on sale, thats not how things work i am sure if psn discounted 95% of their games there would be people bitching why isnt the game they love not discounted…i bought the ps+ deal, tokyo jungle, most wanted and downloaded arkham city(playing it for the first time) for less then 40€ and i think that this is a great deal would love to have unfinished swan but still i am very pleased with the offers

Eh well there are over 70 mln PS3′s sold and both Journey and Unfinished Swan haven’t sold nearly those numbers.
So I’d say there are a lot of people that don’t own both.
98

@MASPALOMAZ
Journey is about 2 hours long, iv;e heard the unfinished swan is about the same length.

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 9:59 am by carlosdfn
Oh come on, I know this is an amazing deal but I already own Journey. I’ve been looking forward to getting the Unfinished Swan since the sale was announced and now you go and bundle it with a game I already own without the option to buy separately?

Posted on 19 December, 2012 at 10:08 am by SteFromAbove
Whilst I appreciate that this bundle is a fantastic deal for people who don’t own these games, I can’t help but feel that the omission of the option to purchase these titles individually is a mistake which can only cost Sony sales.
It would be interesting to be given a little feedback as to the logic/thinking behind only offering the deal as a bundle, and not two standalone games. I’m sure that there is a good reason for this, and explaining this to the people posting here would no doubt be beneficial for all concerned
