PlayStation Plus: Your January content

Btw is Pinball Arcade also free on PS3 or Vita only? Since it’s a cross title.

doubt anyone will see this but some vita games I would like to see on plus are

1) Touch My Katamari
2) Dynasty Warriors Next
3) New Little King Story

or it would just be brilliant if when Ragnarok Odyssey releases we could get that

yes I know niche games but still I can hope until I clear my debts (buying too many games in 2012) and playing my backlog of games (90+ and still counting) before I’m even allowed to buy anything else

I agree with you dude, but i sometimes use game trials to determine whether or not i buy the game. and we dont get the AAA game trials the us do. Ive been wondering why coz it promotes game sales.

already got a response from chris when i asked this question and he said as far as he was aware it was the vita only title that was free as thats the deal that was made with the publisher but he was going to clarify this.

i just bought myself a cracking madcats arcade stick so if you could get street fighter 4 arcade edition i would be one happy plus member.

I will get a blast of mk on it but as much as I like mk its not a patch on street fighter and never has been in my personal opinion
I used to hang around arcades playing street fighter back in the day so I think that has alot to do with it.

I just wanted to know if street fighter 4 was on the cards because if it’s not I will be buying it, I have street fighter vs tekken to keep me going but that’s not quite as good AS SF4 so hopefully Chris will put me out my misery and reply to one of my comments about it when he is back.

When i had plus the lack of trials cost me, i bought a rpg that sounded just right, only to discover, half hour in, i would of gotten more enjoyment giving the £30 odd away, But thats just the chance you take in gaming, Then the next week the game appeared in the USs store, But with the hours trial they get with most every full game, and i then changed my outlook to first anger, then bemusement.
As for ‘them’ concentrating at getting us better games, well, at that time the IGC was not even in sight, and if anything we were getting bad deals compared to USs offerings, and now, well i don’t think i have seen many IGC (EU) games that i haven’t either allready had, or would want, imo if our plus included the discounts that US plus offers, then i would resub immediately, obviously there Will be one or two games i would like, but mostly it’d be monthly disappointments, wish it (IGC) would of come out 2or3 years sooner, but still plus Is great value for newer, next gens gamers.

I wonder if 2013 will be the year SCEE begin listening to their consumers and SCEWW quell their relentless obsession with North America? Frankly it’s embarrassing…and no. I doubt it.

Will SCEE continue ignoring complaints about the obnoxious Singstar malware, and simply wait until users give up? Yep. I think that’s a dead cert. With the XBOX3 set for Xmas 2013 will Europeans have enough stamina to ride the wreckage that’s SCEE until the PS4? If Sony don’t begin to become user friendly and mend the animosity amongst gamers I can’t see Sony continuing their computer entertainment division beyond the next generation.

The next five to seven years are make or break for SCEWW. They need to consolidate all regional divisions, cut SCEE out like a cancer and stop treating consumers with contempt and outrageous arrogance.

Where oh where is the Sony I fell in love with seventeen years ago?

Still can’t wait for my government (Australia) to sort out its R18+ rating so we can get Mortal Kombat though. For anyone curious: It is illegal to own Mortal Kombat in Australia (could be a similar issue in Germany). It was too ‘brutal’ for MA15+, and we don’t have an R18+ rating. So it got Refused Classification and put on a banned imports list.

Good games on ps3 but the PSvita games are not that good, first month of ps+ on the vita they gave 2 good games, uncharted and gravity rush then this month mortal kombat but January’s list aint very good.

I mean don’t get me wrong there were some great games on PS3 but I find few January games a bit bleak. Bioshock 2 is ok with me but the other two for the PS3, hmm I want to ask (and WB Games too since they own Guardians of Middle Earth):

- Why offer us a PS3 version of MK when we already have the Vita version?
- Why offer us an MMO game when DC Universe is free-to-play?
- Why replace MK for a dead online FPS game for Germany and Australia that’s already free-to-play on Steam?

Now what I love to see on Feb being in Vita’s instant game collection next is WipEout 2048 and Retro City Rampage (if that game is out before Feb). We need WipEout and that game is made in the UK and it’s still in the US Plus’s IGC. I might try out Bioshock 2 though since it’s a good game.

I always dreamed of playing uncharted would be great to see in the near future in the game playstationplus uncharted and uncharted 2. and in February, it would be a great birthday present)))))

remember mate that although some of us have vita’s not everyone does so not everyone would feel the same about mortal kombat.

putting a good spin on gotham city imposters, the game wont be dead after its free on plus as all the users that get it free will be playing it along with the others that do still play this rather decent game.

some people will like this content more than last months, i dont really like arkham city but i was happy with big sky infinity, this month no matter what i think of the rest of the games im happy with pinball arcade personally as long as i get one game a month im really happy with the rest are a bonus.

Hi, this may be a stupid question but I am new to PS Plus and don’t fully understand it.
I have a PS Vita, I see Mortal Kombat is getting taken away mid January.
If I download it now and store it on a memory card- can I still play it after 16th January?

Also, Is it possible to back up memory card games on a pc and create a backlog of ps plus games which I can add and remove to a memory card?

not a stupid question if you dont know how things work.

if you select an item to download you will always have access to it from your download list even after its expiry date has passed.
even if your plus membership expires and you dont resubscribe for a while when you do you can still re download the game.

also you dont have to actually download the game for it to go into your list, if you just add to basket and confirm the items and see the download button they will be in your list to then take at a later date.

you can also use the web store on a pc to do this with ps3 content incase you later plan to get a ps3.

I have a question for chris and hope to get an answer. PS plus is really amazing and is a great investement of our money. Being a recent member of PS+ I got a bit confused on where to spend money from now on when buying games on- and offine. I mean with so many offers I would not like to see the game I just bought from my local store or PS store hit the PS+ instant collection. I do not want to sound ungrateful but you understand that optimal handling of our economics is essential particulary during this time period (and country?). Is there any chance to be aware of what might or might not hit PS+ instant collection? Is there a hidden rule in the PS store which would help us knowing it? For example are games which were once on discount or on sales candidates for PS+ instant collection or do you exclude these ones? Am I “safe” to buy a game during the festive sale or I will probably see it entering the instant collection the next months? Is there any way to know or to predict in order to play more by paying less ( that’s your slogan anyway:) ) ??????

people have been thinking like this for a while now, as a day one subscriber to plus there has been many times that i and others have bought a game and it has ended up free.
having asked ross in the past who used to be the plus manager if there’s any hard and fast rules about what would be offered the answer was always no.

chris seems to be better at making sure items that have been in a sale are not the next month offered free on plus, in the past we would be offered a great price on an item exclusive to plus and then it was free one month later and people were not happy.

hopefully you will get the answer your looking for but unless things have changed i doubt it.

not good offerings for me…platinumd bio shock 2 awhile back, and button bashers like mortal kombat bore me… suppose I’ll just give guardians of middle earth a go.. still have decembers content to keep me busy so cant complain

button bashers lose against people that know what they are doing.

grrr i hate 2d fighters being described as button bashers/mashers skill wins out.

Well Mortal Kombat is button mashing friendly and the moves are very easy to pull off so no one can button mash. I mean Capcom’s fighting games like Street Fighter IV are really really hard to figure out and I always lose.

the trick to street fighter is sticking to who you are good with, just try to master one or two fighters if your wanting to play multi player after you have them locked in you can start to get good with others.

Could there be a possibility of Ratchet and Clank Classics HD? Would really love to get that game.

@steve_189 and @cosmic_uk, are you guys sure you’re talking abt the full game? The NL store only has the demo online, and this has happened before. You download what you think is the full version, but then find out it’s only a demo version.
Not that I’m very eager to get GC Imposters.. It’s not a very good game anyway…

@chrisboers Yes it’s the full game unlock. It’s showing in the Instant Game Collection section, along with Bioshock 2 and the other new additions. I’ve tested it and downloaded OK.

Oh SCEE, you are so awesome. You made the mistake to give everyone else PSP’s LEGO Batman for free and now you repeat the same mistake and give them GCI too?

I am from TURKEY. Unfortunately I am surprised and shocked because of MORTAL KOMBAT. It is announced that Austria and Germany excluded, other countries will have it. AND I SOLD MY MORTAL COMBAT CD because I plan to keep my subscription as long as possible. Now will I buy it again? soo sad! I love this game….

Oh and GCI is of course missing where it is supposed to be: In the german store. Lolz.

middel earth download and it just disappears , says installed ,but then does am impression of the wife whith a credit card ,no metter how hard i look its not there .
