Nothing for the Vita? Not even PSP or Ps1 games? Wow, this is simply offensive.

bidbaldwolf86 21 December, 2012 @ 10:09 am   2

Seriously?

Where are the PS Vita/PSP/PSOne sales?

Wow. Can’t wait to relive the 2005 World Snooker Championships.

Thanks for all the Vita content Chris. Top work. I think i’ll relive Christmas 1996 with some Lara Croft action.

Happy holidays mate.

Hey thats some sweet deals ! Ridge Racer 7!!! I like Sony again!! Thanks !! :)

@XzSlLENTSNIPERzX Vita is still pretty new there isnt that many games yet, give it some time :)

XzSlLENTSNIPERzX 21 December, 2012 @ 10:13 am   5

@MASPALOMAZ
They could’ve at least given is PSP/PS1 games other than the two I have. This is stupid, two discounts for the Ps Vita? Pffft, what a joke.

Still no Vita games? Sony, if that’s your idea of supporting new hardware then don’t blame “other circumstances” for Vita’s struggle to sell units.

Nothing for Vita..

davidgulbrandsen 21 December, 2012 @ 10:15 am   8

Must say that this is a bit disappointing Chris, you said that you were working on discounts on the previous festive sales, and now there is almost nothing?

And since the update is done, and it is soon christmas I guess there is no reason for complaining..

LunaticFanatic 21 December, 2012 @ 10:16 am   9

What a bunch of whiners. You sound like a pathetic 3 year old who only got 5 PS3′s for xmas, not 10 like you wished for.

Grow up.

Come on guys, [CENSORED] is this?

We were promised PSVita deals. Xmas deals had none, these Festival sales at first had none.

Then Chris and Fred both said they would bring deals for PSVita SOON.

SOON for me means, some festival deals this year, not waiting till January… Extremely, EXTREMELY disappointed I am.

PS+ USA saw great deals on LittleBigPlanet Vita, Escape Plan and other games. Chris even said ‘leave it with me’, so I was confident this update the 21st, last this year would bring some.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Sad.

I must agree with the top two posts as I was looking forward to some Ps1 classics on sale.

Again nothing for Vita. Big thanks!

What time do these offers go live??

pretty horrible fora sale selling only ps3 games that are digital. and with the rumors that ps4 won’t be able 2 emulate the digital version it’s kinda pointless buying them.

you’d expect some Vita games america had resistance fall of man for 26 bucks with a starting price off 35. same with the assasin creed game for Vita original starting price in U.S was 35. yet we get ripped off and have 2 pay 50.

Nothing for Vita?

MASPALOMAZ 21 December, 2012 @ 10:22 am   17

No it was said the Vita deals will come next year :) BTW Earth Defense Force was just announced in US Blog :))))))))

That Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 (and the other deals) will probably go life tonight.

Hi Chris,

Is there any Plus Discount for Tekken Tag 2? Was really looking forward to a good deal on that one, but it seems as it’s the same price it was before for plus members.

Thanks for the work you guys put into the sales though, greatly appreciated! :)

@ Maspalomaz

No, it was said soon at first, even saying they would update the festival deals.

Just lateron, if I remember right this week they gave a tiny indication that they were not sure if they would get it done for the 21st.

It is just dumb though. You got a handheld PSVita out there that isn’t selling how it should and one isn’t promoting it during CHristmas times besides a very sad pathetic version of COD? They don’t give the early adoptors of the PSVita some nice deals for Christmas?

At least in USA they did. And they got more stuff with the instant game collection for PSVita too.

well with hardly any new content ever reaching the SCEE store it’s also hard 2 make any deals on games that aren’t as old as hell.

Aussieanima67 21 December, 2012 @ 10:29 am   21

So tomba 1 and 2 are vita compatible now, but why did double their price?

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (Not available in Germany)
Was €39.99/£29.99/AU$49.95 Now €19.99/£15.99/AU$24.95
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers

Is still showing to me at 39.99€ and on the uk store £29.99, also will the DLC be on discount for this game when the prices gets updated. much like what happenned to batman arkham when Fred updated the DLC information.

Thank you very much and Merry christmas and Happy new Year

Chocobo115 21 December, 2012 @ 10:34 am   23

Aww, was really really hoping for Street Fighet X Tekken Character DLC & Okami HD to go on sale.
May we see them next year or are Capcom hard to convince compared to others?
Just can’t afford them at full price beeing a student :/

I was really hoping for some PS Vita sales for christmas :(

For people asking about psvita/psp/ps1 classic sale. They will be on the New Year sale in January!

Also what is the deal with Jetpack Joyride?

Jetpack Joyride
Price: Free, with in-game purchases
PEGI: 12
Availability: Not available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine (Releases Friday 21st)

Since it won’t be available free in Portugal how much will be the price of it?

Also you say that it is free with any purchase on the store?

So someone from UK purchasing an avatar will be getting the game?

thanks for answering

@kivi95: Where did you see that and do you know which titles will be going on sale?

Thanks for letting me know

zxRATTLExz 21 December, 2012 @ 10:43 am   28

Oh well a little disappointed to see titles that have had plus discounts for ages or recently such as hydrophobia, saints row 2 , tekken tag 2 etc being the additions. Can’t complain too much though since i’ve picked up some bargains over the last couple of weeks.

Here’s to hoping the sales continue thick and fast in the new year. Personally i would like to see more effort put into sales next year and maybe emulate Steam more by having a daily offer and new sales each weekend. That would generate a lot more custom than the monthly sales we have seen on PS3 that usually look very stale after a couple of days when there is nothing of interest for you.

So will we see the Playstation All-Stars and Angry Birds dlc that US got in Tuesdays update today or is it just a Festive sale update?

zxRATTLExz 21 December, 2012 @ 10:47 am   30

Oh and i would just like to take this opportunity to wish the staff and bloggers a merry xmas and happy new year.

Chris – Will the store still update on 2nd January with the 3 new PS Plus games?? Or will they be delayed until 9th January??

PsychoDantis 21 December, 2012 @ 10:50 am   32

Good lord, bad week for SCEE.

No Vita sales.

Mortal Kombat delayed until today

Awful January Plus announced.

Here’s hoping the new year brings with it the high quality I’d generally expect from you guys. :/

zero_light 21 December, 2012 @ 10:51 am   33

Still nothing for the Vita! We got somewhat stiffed on the PS+ content vs the US, nothing at all for the VIta in the 12 deals of Christmas, and it’s not getting anything in the Festive Sale either. Why?

I’ve got all I need for the PS3 already pre sale – but I could use some Vita games. I got my Vita just after the summer sale and missed all those offers and nothings come along since.

All that I expected is at least Sound Shapes for the Vita, but nope. Instead we got the awesomeness of nothing for that system.

But hey, at least I can fully enjoy now the PSP Lego Batman that SCEE had the pleasure to give me. Ain’t that great for Christmas?

Was holding out for this festive sale, was hoping to pick up a few psn and vita games on the cheap so i passed on a few of the 12 deals of christmas. Had i known the festive sale was going to be this abysmal i probably would of bought a few, that’s the problem with holding back deals people will be holding out for a better deal and then it doesn’t come. Oh well more money in my pocket this christmas.

Phantom_Blaze 21 December, 2012 @ 11:00 am   36

Hi, once again:

Please can we have the following as the US has had them since MAY.:

Assassin’s Creed 3 Avatars
Assassin’s Creed 3 Theme

I WANT to spend 20p on an avatar for once in my life, and you’ve stopped me from being able to do this! Please can you add these AC 3 items to the UK store.

Also any news for the following apps??

Ps Vita Wake Up Club
PS3 Youtube App

All the people moaning about vita, what Kivi said, they said Vita sale would be in the new year

Todays updates are pretty lame, was hoping for Trine 2, Walking Dead, Plants v Zombies in the sale, but you can’t please everyone right? Shame there’s no mention of plus discounts on todays deals have to wait til they go live I guess

Huono_peleis 21 December, 2012 @ 11:00 am   38

What a pathetic line-up. This is the best you can do? It’s all either shovelware or really old stuff that have been discounted several times before.

Was planning to buy Mini-ninjas last week but since it wasn’t available then even though you announced it to be, I bought Mass Effect 3 from elsewhere for 9,90€ – so there.

This is embarrassing…

…And by that, I mean all you moaners. Want, want, want, want, want, want, want! Particularly the post above (Psycho Dantis).

What right do you have to demand Vita sales? Do you go into high-street stores and demand to their staff that they should have sales?

Mortal Kombat was delayed by two days – for most people, that is two working days as well. Unless you believe the ‘end of the world’ theories, what is the issue?

Bioshock 2 is a very good title. You may already own/played it as I have, but that doesn’t make it any worse of a Playstation Plus title. I’m interested to hear what people would have preferred – something like Devil May Cry 4 to push the upcoming DMC game? I wouldn’t.

At you moaning about the updates are lame for PS3 like Trine 2, Walking Dead, etc you got enough already for Xmas deals and festival sales for PS3.

I don’t care that they let it slip to the new year. Early PSVita adopters paid 250 or up for their WiFi or 3G model. When one pays a lot at launch, it is expected the device gets support.

But I know how it works. PS3 has 70+ mln users, so getting the sales out there brings in more cash for Sony. The 3 to 4 mln PSVita owners in the world obviously can’t bring in so much cash, so they just do less effort to get these sales out there.

You moan about PS3 games not up to your wishes, we ask for the balance in deals now, not in 2013.

bidbaldwolf86 21 December, 2012 @ 11:06 am   41

@gcah2006

I think it’s more what was expected considering all of the PS3 titles that are on sale. They put PS3 games on sale two weeks in a row, don’t put any Vita titles in the 12 deals of xmas and leave out one group of people who only have Vitas. Would you be happy in the same position because I doubt it.

Catkiller1 21 December, 2012 @ 11:11 am   42

Didn’t really like the demo for Wrecked Revenge Revisited but at that price, i’m willing to give the full game a chance!

Might purchase Naughty Bear – Panic In Paradise too.

After researching Deep Black i’ll pass on that one!

Merry Christmas to all & for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoy your time off etc :)

@ gcah2006 you clearly don’t own a vita

Catkiller1 21 December, 2012 @ 11:14 am   44

Also I picked up Far Cry 3 Lost Expeditions at GAME this morning for just under £10, as I had in-store credit. Happy with that one! :)

I’ve noticed a few games that i’ve been keeping my eyes on for discounts, changing on a weekly basis. I’ll pick up some more in the new year!

Nothing at all for Vita? Disappointing, SCEE.

What a stupid comment gcah2006. Do you also wonder why customers expect a company to support their own hardware by releases of new games and maybe even some exclusives? New games and Christmas sales are natural parts of the gaming industry, so of course people expect to see such content.

Fred recently told me “Well we can’t offer everything in a sale”. Exactly that is wrong. You can do, if you just want to.
Steam has pretty much 95% of its catalog in its Christmas sale, some with decent discounts and others with great ones. Is Steam just far far far more competent than SCEE? Or far far far more powerful? Or far far far more motivated? What is the reason that they can do what SCEE can’t?

All that SCEE managed are “chosen” 12 sales. Among them some EA offers with bad prices, a bundle that only pleased who owned none of the games and of course I should mention the UK bias that Chris Howe obviously must have, when he arranges the discounts.

The rest of those deals listed above are 90% really bad games with rating below 70% or disappointing discounts. With the missing Vita content this is a clear “NOT GOOD ENOUGH” for the most important sale of the year.

@bigbaldwolf86

I do own a Vita. Sure, I may have a PS3 too… but most of these moaners are clearly Playstation Plus members. I doubt anyone is a PS+ subscriber without a PS3, but you never know.

I got sidetracked – the issue at hand isn’t even relevant. The Vita doesn’t exactly have a massive library and they’ve already put two of their biggest games into the Instant Game Collection (Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Mortal Kombat).

They’ve got to make money somewhere. I think people forget that for a long time, Sony were making a huge loss on their PS3 consoles. I don’t remember all of their staff sending me email upon email about how I should pay £600 for a PS3 because it isn’t fair!!

People need to get some perspective, in my opinion.

@ Cgah

Nonsense again.

If PS+ USA can do it, why can’t PS+ EU do the same? USA has games like LittleBigPlanet Vita on sale for 18 USD, Escape Plan for 7,50 USD or something.

“I got sidetracked – the issue at hand isn’t even relevant. The Vita doesn’t exactly have a massive library and they’ve already put two of their biggest games into the Instant Game Collection (Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Mortal Kombat).

PSVita has a library of close to 100 games. It is big enough to push out some deals.

They make money on each PSVita sold, as the production costs/parts have gone down, and they didn’t make a loss on each unit at launch already. Also, this isn’t part of the discussion.

Thing is: there are only PS3 deals this while Christmas. It doesn’t level out, as the PSVita is an important system for Sony too. And again if PSN in USA can do it, why can’t EU?

@gcah2006

I understand and agree about the Vitas library in part but there is a back catalogue of PSP, PSOne and Minis available of which only 2 tomb raider games have been discounted.

The expectation is that Sony would offer sales to those of who have had a PS Vita since launch but there has been zero effort for those of us who only have a Vita.

It isn’t unrealistic to expect Sony to support their new hardware and enticing new customers with good sales on digital games but this hasn’t been the case. In fact, Sony’s overall marketing for the Vita has been very poor (but that’s another issue)

They should call it THE 12 PS3 DEALS OF CHRISTMAS that are a bit a crap! & hope u wont notice there is no vita deals
