Nothing for the Vita? Not even PSP or Ps1 games? Wow, this is simply offensive.

bidbaldwolf86 21 December, 2012 @ 10:09 am   2

Seriously?

Where are the PS Vita/PSP/PSOne sales?

Wow. Can’t wait to relive the 2005 World Snooker Championships.

Thanks for all the Vita content Chris. Top work. I think i’ll relive Christmas 1996 with some Lara Croft action.

Happy holidays mate.

Hey thats some sweet deals ! Ridge Racer 7!!! I like Sony again!! Thanks !! :)

@XzSlLENTSNIPERzX Vita is still pretty new there isnt that many games yet, give it some time :)

XzSlLENTSNIPERzX 21 December, 2012 @ 10:13 am   5

@MASPALOMAZ
They could’ve at least given is PSP/PS1 games other than the two I have. This is stupid, two discounts for the Ps Vita? Pffft, what a joke.

Still no Vita games? Sony, if that’s your idea of supporting new hardware then don’t blame “other circumstances” for Vita’s struggle to sell units.

Nothing for Vita..

davidgulbrandsen 21 December, 2012 @ 10:15 am   8

Must say that this is a bit disappointing Chris, you said that you were working on discounts on the previous festive sales, and now there is almost nothing?

And since the update is done, and it is soon christmas I guess there is no reason for complaining..

LunaticFanatic 21 December, 2012 @ 10:16 am   9

What a bunch of whiners. You sound like a pathetic 3 year old who only got 5 PS3′s for xmas, not 10 like you wished for.

Grow up.

Come on guys, [CENSORED] is this?

We were promised PSVita deals. Xmas deals had none, these Festival sales at first had none.

Then Chris and Fred both said they would bring deals for PSVita SOON.

SOON for me means, some festival deals this year, not waiting till January… Extremely, EXTREMELY disappointed I am.

PS+ USA saw great deals on LittleBigPlanet Vita, Escape Plan and other games. Chris even said ‘leave it with me’, so I was confident this update the 21st, last this year would bring some.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Sad.

I must agree with the top two posts as I was looking forward to some Ps1 classics on sale.

Again nothing for Vita. Big thanks!

What time do these offers go live??

pretty horrible fora sale selling only ps3 games that are digital. and with the rumors that ps4 won’t be able 2 emulate the digital version it’s kinda pointless buying them.

you’d expect some Vita games america had resistance fall of man for 26 bucks with a starting price off 35. same with the assasin creed game for Vita original starting price in U.S was 35. yet we get ripped off and have 2 pay 50.

Nothing for Vita?

MASPALOMAZ 21 December, 2012 @ 10:22 am   17

No it was said the Vita deals will come next year :) BTW Earth Defense Force was just announced in US Blog :))))))))

That Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 (and the other deals) will probably go life tonight.

Hi Chris,

Is there any Plus Discount for Tekken Tag 2? Was really looking forward to a good deal on that one, but it seems as it’s the same price it was before for plus members.

Thanks for the work you guys put into the sales though, greatly appreciated! :)

@ Maspalomaz

No, it was said soon at first, even saying they would update the festival deals.

Just lateron, if I remember right this week they gave a tiny indication that they were not sure if they would get it done for the 21st.

It is just dumb though. You got a handheld PSVita out there that isn’t selling how it should and one isn’t promoting it during CHristmas times besides a very sad pathetic version of COD? They don’t give the early adoptors of the PSVita some nice deals for Christmas?

At least in USA they did. And they got more stuff with the instant game collection for PSVita too.

well with hardly any new content ever reaching the SCEE store it’s also hard 2 make any deals on games that aren’t as old as hell.

Aussieanima67 21 December, 2012 @ 10:29 am   21

So tomba 1 and 2 are vita compatible now, but why did double their price?

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (Not available in Germany)
Was €39.99/£29.99/AU$49.95 Now €19.99/£15.99/AU$24.95
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers

Is still showing to me at 39.99€ and on the uk store £29.99, also will the DLC be on discount for this game when the prices gets updated. much like what happenned to batman arkham when Fred updated the DLC information.

Thank you very much and Merry christmas and Happy new Year

Chocobo115 21 December, 2012 @ 10:34 am   23

Aww, was really really hoping for Street Fighet X Tekken Character DLC & Okami HD to go on sale.
May we see them next year or are Capcom hard to convince compared to others?
Just can’t afford them at full price beeing a student :/

I was really hoping for some PS Vita sales for christmas :(

For people asking about psvita/psp/ps1 classic sale. They will be on the New Year sale in January!

Also what is the deal with Jetpack Joyride?

Jetpack Joyride
Price: Free, with in-game purchases
PEGI: 12
Availability: Not available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine (Releases Friday 21st)

Since it won’t be available free in Portugal how much will be the price of it?

Also you say that it is free with any purchase on the store?

So someone from UK purchasing an avatar will be getting the game?

thanks for answering

@kivi95: Where did you see that and do you know which titles will be going on sale?

Thanks for letting me know

zxRATTLExz 21 December, 2012 @ 10:43 am   28

Oh well a little disappointed to see titles that have had plus discounts for ages or recently such as hydrophobia, saints row 2 , tekken tag 2 etc being the additions. Can’t complain too much though since i’ve picked up some bargains over the last couple of weeks.

Here’s to hoping the sales continue thick and fast in the new year. Personally i would like to see more effort put into sales next year and maybe emulate Steam more by having a daily offer and new sales each weekend. That would generate a lot more custom than the monthly sales we have seen on PS3 that usually look very stale after a couple of days when there is nothing of interest for you.

So will we see the Playstation All-Stars and Angry Birds dlc that US got in Tuesdays update today or is it just a Festive sale update?

zxRATTLExz 21 December, 2012 @ 10:47 am   30

Oh and i would just like to take this opportunity to wish the staff and bloggers a merry xmas and happy new year.

Chris – Will the store still update on 2nd January with the 3 new PS Plus games?? Or will they be delayed until 9th January??

PsychoDantis 21 December, 2012 @ 10:50 am   32

Good lord, bad week for SCEE.

No Vita sales.

Mortal Kombat delayed until today

Awful January Plus announced.

Here’s hoping the new year brings with it the high quality I’d generally expect from you guys. :/

zero_light 21 December, 2012 @ 10:51 am   33

Still nothing for the Vita! We got somewhat stiffed on the PS+ content vs the US, nothing at all for the VIta in the 12 deals of Christmas, and it’s not getting anything in the Festive Sale either. Why?

I’ve got all I need for the PS3 already pre sale – but I could use some Vita games. I got my Vita just after the summer sale and missed all those offers and nothings come along since.

All that I expected is at least Sound Shapes for the Vita, but nope. Instead we got the awesomeness of nothing for that system.

But hey, at least I can fully enjoy now the PSP Lego Batman that SCEE had the pleasure to give me. Ain’t that great for Christmas?

Was holding out for this festive sale, was hoping to pick up a few psn and vita games on the cheap so i passed on a few of the 12 deals of christmas. Had i known the festive sale was going to be this abysmal i probably would of bought a few, that’s the problem with holding back deals people will be holding out for a better deal and then it doesn’t come. Oh well more money in my pocket this christmas.

Phantom_Blaze 21 December, 2012 @ 11:00 am   36

Hi, once again:

Please can we have the following as the US has had them since MAY.:

Assassin’s Creed 3 Avatars
Assassin’s Creed 3 Theme

I WANT to spend 20p on an avatar for once in my life, and you’ve stopped me from being able to do this! Please can you add these AC 3 items to the UK store.

Also any news for the following apps??

Ps Vita Wake Up Club
PS3 Youtube App

All the people moaning about vita, what Kivi said, they said Vita sale would be in the new year

Todays updates are pretty lame, was hoping for Trine 2, Walking Dead, Plants v Zombies in the sale, but you can’t please everyone right? Shame there’s no mention of plus discounts on todays deals have to wait til they go live I guess

Huono_peleis 21 December, 2012 @ 11:00 am   38

What a pathetic line-up. This is the best you can do? It’s all either shovelware or really old stuff that have been discounted several times before.

Was planning to buy Mini-ninjas last week but since it wasn’t available then even though you announced it to be, I bought Mass Effect 3 from elsewhere for 9,90€ – so there.

This is embarrassing…

…And by that, I mean all you moaners. Want, want, want, want, want, want, want! Particularly the post above (Psycho Dantis).

What right do you have to demand Vita sales? Do you go into high-street stores and demand to their staff that they should have sales?

Mortal Kombat was delayed by two days – for most people, that is two working days as well. Unless you believe the ‘end of the world’ theories, what is the issue?

Bioshock 2 is a very good title. You may already own/played it as I have, but that doesn’t make it any worse of a Playstation Plus title. I’m interested to hear what people would have preferred – something like Devil May Cry 4 to push the upcoming DMC game? I wouldn’t.

At you moaning about the updates are lame for PS3 like Trine 2, Walking Dead, etc you got enough already for Xmas deals and festival sales for PS3.

I don’t care that they let it slip to the new year. Early PSVita adopters paid 250 or up for their WiFi or 3G model. When one pays a lot at launch, it is expected the device gets support.

But I know how it works. PS3 has 70+ mln users, so getting the sales out there brings in more cash for Sony. The 3 to 4 mln PSVita owners in the world obviously can’t bring in so much cash, so they just do less effort to get these sales out there.

You moan about PS3 games not up to your wishes, we ask for the balance in deals now, not in 2013.

bidbaldwolf86 21 December, 2012 @ 11:06 am   41

@gcah2006

I think it’s more what was expected considering all of the PS3 titles that are on sale. They put PS3 games on sale two weeks in a row, don’t put any Vita titles in the 12 deals of xmas and leave out one group of people who only have Vitas. Would you be happy in the same position because I doubt it.

Catkiller1 21 December, 2012 @ 11:11 am   42

Didn’t really like the demo for Wrecked Revenge Revisited but at that price, i’m willing to give the full game a chance!

Might purchase Naughty Bear – Panic In Paradise too.

After researching Deep Black i’ll pass on that one!

Merry Christmas to all & for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoy your time off etc :)

@ gcah2006 you clearly don’t own a vita

Catkiller1 21 December, 2012 @ 11:14 am   44

Also I picked up Far Cry 3 Lost Expeditions at GAME this morning for just under £10, as I had in-store credit. Happy with that one! :)

I’ve noticed a few games that i’ve been keeping my eyes on for discounts, changing on a weekly basis. I’ll pick up some more in the new year!

Nothing at all for Vita? Disappointing, SCEE.

What a stupid comment gcah2006. Do you also wonder why customers expect a company to support their own hardware by releases of new games and maybe even some exclusives? New games and Christmas sales are natural parts of the gaming industry, so of course people expect to see such content.

Fred recently told me “Well we can’t offer everything in a sale”. Exactly that is wrong. You can do, if you just want to.
Steam has pretty much 95% of its catalog in its Christmas sale, some with decent discounts and others with great ones. Is Steam just far far far more competent than SCEE? Or far far far more powerful? Or far far far more motivated? What is the reason that they can do what SCEE can’t?

All that SCEE managed are “chosen” 12 sales. Among them some EA offers with bad prices, a bundle that only pleased who owned none of the games and of course I should mention the UK bias that Chris Howe obviously must have, when he arranges the discounts.

The rest of those deals listed above are 90% really bad games with rating below 70% or disappointing discounts. With the missing Vita content this is a clear “NOT GOOD ENOUGH” for the most important sale of the year.

@bigbaldwolf86

I do own a Vita. Sure, I may have a PS3 too… but most of these moaners are clearly Playstation Plus members. I doubt anyone is a PS+ subscriber without a PS3, but you never know.

I got sidetracked – the issue at hand isn’t even relevant. The Vita doesn’t exactly have a massive library and they’ve already put two of their biggest games into the Instant Game Collection (Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Mortal Kombat).

They’ve got to make money somewhere. I think people forget that for a long time, Sony were making a huge loss on their PS3 consoles. I don’t remember all of their staff sending me email upon email about how I should pay £600 for a PS3 because it isn’t fair!!

People need to get some perspective, in my opinion.

@ Cgah

Nonsense again.

If PS+ USA can do it, why can’t PS+ EU do the same? USA has games like LittleBigPlanet Vita on sale for 18 USD, Escape Plan for 7,50 USD or something.

“I got sidetracked – the issue at hand isn’t even relevant. The Vita doesn’t exactly have a massive library and they’ve already put two of their biggest games into the Instant Game Collection (Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Mortal Kombat).

PSVita has a library of close to 100 games. It is big enough to push out some deals.

They make money on each PSVita sold, as the production costs/parts have gone down, and they didn’t make a loss on each unit at launch already. Also, this isn’t part of the discussion.

Thing is: there are only PS3 deals this while Christmas. It doesn’t level out, as the PSVita is an important system for Sony too. And again if PSN in USA can do it, why can’t EU?

bidbaldwolf86 21 December, 2012 @ 11:25 am   49

@gcah2006

I understand and agree about the Vitas library in part but there is a back catalogue of PSP, PSOne and Minis available of which only 2 tomb raider games have been discounted.

The expectation is that Sony would offer sales to those of who have had a PS Vita since launch but there has been zero effort for those of us who only have a Vita.

It isn’t unrealistic to expect Sony to support their new hardware and enticing new customers with good sales on digital games but this hasn’t been the case. In fact, Sony’s overall marketing for the Vita has been very poor (but that’s another issue)

They should call it THE 12 PS3 DEALS OF CHRISTMAS that are a bit a crap! & hope u wont notice there is no vita deals

luckysalt81 21 December, 2012 @ 11:30 am   51

@theMART I wasn’t moaning about the ps3 sale, I was just stating what I hoped was in the sale and saying its a shame they aren’t, I clearly say you can’t please everyone.

and I agree vita users should get some love, but I again was just stating they’ve said it will be in the new year.

cool man, have a good christmas

brother-arms 21 December, 2012 @ 11:33 am   52

If you read some of the replys in the store update or the festive sale one before this, they said there WOULDNT be a Vita/psp/ps1 sale. They said it’ll be after Christmas in a NEW YEAR sale.

@bigbaldwolf86

That is an opinion I can appreciate. I just feel that you’re opinion isn’t matched with that of others. Every blog that seems to come by, people find something to moan about.

It can be the lack of said Vita titles, the comparative price of retail against digital, the poor release titles, SCEA getting better deals/content that SCEE, currency prices being unequivalent… I find it tedious to trawl through sometimes, if I’m honest.

While I say that, I do agree that have prices that don’t match when converted (and unequal discount percentages) is something that Sony has got wrong. :)

I’m just going to bring up TheMART’s point of SCEE vs SCEA. There are going to be differences. This is a fact of life. Our Instant Game Collection has been solidly better than theirs for a while now… I don’t hear anyone voicing opinions about how that is unfair.

Well you certainly must ignore the US american then gcah, if you never heard any comments on that. :P

spoon_1992 21 December, 2012 @ 11:47 am   55

In the original post it says that Resident Evil operation racoon city is reduced to €19.99 but in the store it says its €39.99. I assume this is a mistake?

@ Gcah

Yes, the instant game collection for the PS3 is better in EU than USA.

Again, the PS3. PS3 is getting the better PS+ instant game collection, it gets the only Christmas deals, it gets the only festival deals.

Now do you see a pattern in this? NO?

USA PS+ instant game collection for PSVita had Wipeout 2048 and Jet Set Radio on top of what we got at launch with PS+. They have great PSVita festival deals NOW with Christmas.

Fact remains: they got a new handheld out in 2012, as an early adaptor I expect them to promote the system and give deals balanced and equally to what they do for the PS3, period.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you!

You know why ;)

CookieMonsterES 21 December, 2012 @ 12:07 pm   58

Just posting to wish Chris, Fred, Jawad and all the team a Merry Xmas, you guys can be proud of the job you’ve made. Some people like to complain way too much over trivial things but I honestly think this has been a good year. Thanks for the great content and nice discounts, keep it up! :)

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 12:10 pm

    And a happy Christmas to you too Mr Monster. Have a great break, and see you back here for lots more good stuff next year!

@Golwar

I was referring to this blog – I don’t see anyone complaining for parity on their behalf. We just seem to be like kids at Christmas – he got this and I got that, crying for more.

Yes, there is a lack of Vita content. The more you say it, doesn’t make it any more important. If you want a game, I have a radical idea… just go out and buy it. I know what you’re thinking – What kind of crazy notion is this?!

Sales are just that, sales. They should be considered a bonus.

xxSamuraiGirlxx 21 December, 2012 @ 12:17 pm   60

lame sale. lol

why don’t you just make Hydrophobia Prophecy £1.19 price permanent?

you’ve been trying to flog it for that price for ages anyway. i remember getting an email with a code to buy it for £1.19 a while ago and i bought it cause i thought i was special, but i wasn’t. =(

hope there’s a better sale in the new year. the walking dead and borderlands 2 season pass. please and thank you. =)

Sp4rkyM4rk1337 21 December, 2012 @ 12:17 pm   61

I must confess the biggest reason I waited for this post was to see if it was safe to buy digital editions of Uncharted. Suppose the green light is on. :)

As the deals themselves, though, there are some pretty good ones but I already have access a lot of the listed games (either through Plus or previous sales). Recommended pick-ups are Crazy Taxi, Sonic and Tomb Raider.

MASPALOMAZ 21 December, 2012 @ 12:18 pm   62

THE DEALS ARE NOW LIVE. Ridge Racer 7 is at 9,99€ :)

PsychoDantis 21 December, 2012 @ 12:31 pm   63

@gcah2006

Thanks for pointing out my post specifically. It means that somebody actually reads what I say! :O

Allow me to clarify, seeing as you seem to be mixed up with some things.

First off, the sales. I didn’t demand a sale. I said there were no Vita sales. This is a fact. On top of that, last week, we were told that they were working on the Vita sales at that point. You’re telling me that it is improper for me to express disappointment over something that wasn’t delivered?

Now, PS Plus. This is a paid service. They failed (For whatever reason) to deliver the service on the day they said that they would. Again, this is disappointing. How can you argue otherwise?

Finally, January Plus. Bioshock 2 is great! I finished it a few years ago and really enjoyed it. But it’s very cheap now. MK is this month’s Vita game. Guardians of Middle Earth is apparently mediocre, and also heavily DLC-based. The Vita lineup meanwhile, is laughable, and both games together are worth a mere £14. Again, very, very disappointing.

All of these together equals a poor week for SCEE.

Hopefully this clears up why I am complaining.

I would just like to say that I wish all of the Blog & Store Team, all the best for the New Year & I hope you all have a well deserved enjoyable Christmas break!

Things can get heated on this Blog & I think that the majority of the time, it has been dealt with accordingly. We’re not all the same & we all have different interests & you can’t please everyone but overall when I look back over this year, i’m very happy with the content that i’ve received & PLUS keeps getting better & better!

Well done & hurry up with Retro City Rampage lol! ;)

Take Care all!

Tekken Tag 2 has an extra 20% Plus discount! Happy camper here! Thanks again guys and happy holidays! :)

Guys I fully understand all the moaning and extremely poor sales for the sales TBH, I do still think the PS+ is a great buy, as I have plugged this on my weekly gaming podcast many times.
But I have to say I cant shout the Xmas deals this time, its so poor across the board.

But you you know what I find absolutely astounding in all this, the sheer lack of sales or support for Vita, as explained by a few here, how on earth can you not give your newest piece of hardware something at Xmas, what I find more astounding though is the sheer lack if incentive for anyone at all to go and get a vita this Xmas.

When I heard the Plus was being linked to the vita, I stuck the Vita on my Xmas list from the Mrs, but in the weeks leading up to Xmas, I have chosen an Ipod instead, why?, because the sheer lack of anything at all Vita across the board is not only shocking but somewhat puzzling….why wouldn’t Sony support the new Hardware.

Come on guys, support your buying public, without us you have nothing.

Anyway guys a merry Xmas to all, especially the Mods on here, take loads of stick when its not even there fault, remember guys, never shoot the messenger.

Cya next year…..

@gcah
No worries. I currently have 26 games on my Steam wishlist. Three aren’t released yet, only 3 others have no discount in the current sales. So rest assured that I’ll get my fix of new games.

P.S.
Americans complained here too and we had several people who agreed that there case is valid. That included me. So much about this argument of you.

shampoofan 21 December, 2012 @ 12:59 pm   70

you wonder why the vita is failing with service like this? saying there may be a vita sale in the new year is no good, there is no reason why deals should not be available now. I don’t have a vita so this shouldn’t bother me but it does, this is disgraceful treatment and things like this only discourage people to fork out for the hardware. where are the psp and ps1 offers too? Don’t pretend it’s a coincidence that the only posts to get a reply are ones of thanks for the ps3 stuff, all (valid) complaints are conveniently ignored

XzSlLENTSNIPERzX 21 December, 2012 @ 1:06 pm   71

If it’s true, and there is a Vita sale coming after Christmas then not only is it the logical thing to do, but it also better be damn good. Come on SCEE, utilise what you have and come January, amaze us with Vita discounts that appeal to everyone (including new owners).

@ shampoofan

Exactly that. Replies are hardly done when the questions IMO are very legit.

Ignorance isn’t smart though. The biggest supporters of Sony are in this group. Heck, I work in the marketing sector and the first thing you learn is: deal with complaints, never ignore them. The persons that have a question or complain one first might see as irritation, but if you have the right answer and win them over, you got a customer forever.

I own a fat PS3, slim PS3, 2 x PSP and a PSVita just this gen. I buy a lot, a lot of games and for this Christmas I have time on my hands to play some stuff. And I was hoping to do this with some nice sales on PSVita and play on it. Sure, I have other games to play on the PS3, but I wanted to focus on my new handheld.

Sony doesn’t seem to focus on it though, or at least in EU. January is a little to late for the Xmas holiday of two weeks that I have more time to play some, which is right now.

Anyways, this doesn’t mean I ain’t thankful for all the goodies PS+ brought us. I am. Which brings me to the best Xmas wishes for Chris, Fred and other mods on this blog and all people around that post inhere and support PSP, PS3 and/or PSVita!

AlucardDHK 21 December, 2012 @ 1:28 pm   73

I was hoping for some PSP/PS1 sales since we were warned that there would be little to none Vita deals on this sale. Oh well, the funds will remain in my wallet until the next year. I believe no amount of whining and raging will change anything, IMO the best response is a closed wallet. Sony wants my money? Then give me reasons to spend it.

As someone who doesn’t own a PS3 yet but has been using the online store to purchase the PS3 PS+ freebies (i said i don’t own a PS3 YET) i have Stranger’s Wrath, Mortal Kombat, Gravity Rush and Knytt Underground to sink time until the New Year’s Sale. And that’s not a bad thing. 4 games i haven’t played yet should last me the couple of weeks before the next sale. I might even return to Uncharted, i’d really like to power up all the GA cards in FFF. I don’t suffer from ADD so i don’t require a truck full of games every week to be happy (apologies to people who suffer from ADD and are not here moaning and whining).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to staff, developers, fans and haters alike!

@toz6666
Well Fred is just a messenger, true. But Chris is one of the responsible persons, if we take his title serious. So shooting him seems to be appropriate. ;)

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 1:53 pm

    Hey guys, let’s not shoot anyone, kay? Figuratively or otherwise.

    All I can say about this stuff: over the last 12 months we’ve offered discounts on hundreds and hundreds of games. Some of those deals you’ve hopefully thought were great value and snapped up, and others you haven’t. In 2013 we’ll do our best to offer even better deals, and hopefully even more of them.

    Golwar – your complaints about territorial discrepancies are absolutely taken on board. Believe me, we have absolutely no intention of deliberately discriminating against certain regions. Any differences are generally down to difficult business realities that are hard to avoid. In 2013 we will absolutely be trying our best to keep things as equal as possible.

    The same applies to PS+ titles not available in some regions. It’s an evolving service and these are issues we haven’t necessarily came up against before. You will hopefully see improvements in this area next year too.

    While we might not be able to respond to every comment, Chris, myself and SCEE in general do care, we do not ignore you, and we do everything we can to act on feedback. Here’s hoping we can keep you happy in 2013! We’ll certainly try!

@Chris
Sorry if I should fault you Chris, but imho you are responsible for everything that frustrates me here recently:
* lame replacements for Germany and Australia
* unbalanced discounts in favor of the UK
* generally week sales compilation
* it seems that you *beep* don’t care about any of those points as you dodge every single of those topics.

We all know about the financial condition of Sony. We all know what a success sales are for other stores, from Steam up to GOG, Gamersgate, Green Man Gaming, etc. etc.

What I’d do in Sony’s place is put all PSOne and PSP games on sale for 50%. That alone would be an hell of a sale.

I just don’t get what you do so differently that you can only manage to offer some few dozens, mostly lame, sales, while others offer several hundreds of games at once. They have complete Publisher bundles for god’s sake!
Don’t tell me that those very same Publishers refuse to offer more than 1-3 games for sales on the Playstation. It makes no sense at all.

As long as I don’t see any improvement or at least an answer that really explains what is going on there, I’ll take my granted freedom to criticize whenever those issue reappear.

superpatchy66 21 December, 2012 @ 1:34 pm   76

Come on guys show some love for the vita.

Nothing in the above sale, and not one title in the 12 days of Christmas. Not even one token deal.

For all those saying that Vita deals will come after Christmas. That’s brilliant, but how would you like it if the 12 days of Christmas deals were all Vita, and that the deals above were all vita deals. You would be posting similar comments asking for ps3 deals.

However if you do not like the Sony deals, then vote with your fingers. There are brilliant deals elsewhere.

Chaosprower 21 December, 2012 @ 1:44 pm   77

I don’t see any reason to turn on my Vita this Christmas, not just for the fact that in the sales the Vita isn’t even mentioned, but for the lack of any new exclusive game released recently or in the near future.

I mean, I can’t think of a single PS Vita game coming soon that isn’t a port…Ratchet and Clank Q force? A DELAYED PS3 port. Sly Cooper? Not bad, but also a port. Persona 4 Golden? Not exactly a new game, but thanks to messy distribution we’ll get it late, without extras, without translation and surely in limited quantities like most NIS America games (what love for Europe can you expect from a company with “America” in the name…).

Oh! Tearaway and Soul Sacrifice? They’re still TBA, so they won’t be likely to be released in the first quarter of 2013…

Thanks Fred, your reply is absolutely appreciated. I understand that you can’t reply to everyone, it was just obvious that some topics were generally dodged. I surely don’t demand that you guys answer me, but I want to register that you are aware and care about the topics that many of us regularly raise.

And I don’t know about Chris, he just really often dodges even minor issues. I reported several months now that Plus avatars would be missing for example. Neither did he ever comment on that, nor could I witness an improvement. Those for December are still missing. So the logic result is that I must I think that he simply doesn’t care, which obviously won’t improve my mood.

So I really don’t want to be a pain in the ***, but I’m also just a human and thus I have my natural limits of what I’m willed to accept without biting back. ;)

Merry Christmas anyway!

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 2:20 pm

    And happy Christmas to you too. I’ll give Chris a nudge about that Plus avatar issue…

SCEE always makes me laugh when they say:While we might not be able to respond to every comment, Chris, myself and SCEE in general do care, we do not ignore you.

still missing games
still got singstar on the xmb
still no improment in 5 years
still no youtube app for europe
and many more things like prices
aand they say they care i doubt it or else we would see some improments.

if you guys even cared you’d improve the store update’s. and stop being so biased with major countries get rid off the tranlations for different countries. since none off them have been done shows you guys don’t care.

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 2:28 pm

    Dear Santa,

    This Christmas I would like:

    - dgnfly to down weapons for just one short week so everyone can enjoy a nice, jolly festive period here on PlayStation Blog. In January I promise I will do everything I can to make his PlayStation experience more pleasurable and to give him less cause for regular complaint.

    Please can you make this happen?

    Lots of love,

    Fred

@Fred or @Chris

Regarding Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City.

I want to buy it but at the discoutned price it is not on the UK nor in the Europe discounted.

It should be saying it’s normal price:

Was €39.99/£29.99/AU$49.95 Now €19.99/£15.99/AU$24.95
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers

So could you please rectify this so that I purchase the game, and if you can like you did with the Batman Arkham put the DLC on discount for PS+ users, only if you can but ATM just put the correct price of discount and not the normal since the pricing has got an error

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 2:12 pm   81

@Chaosprower:
Whilst I agree you there Vita games were mostly ports. Now don’t get me wrong most ports are great games but there are a few that weren’t take Gravity Rush for example and that game was only found on a Vita even PSN games were made for it and trust me mate, 2013 will be a good year for the Vita so give it a chance, we may never know it will get some good games by the end of Winter.

Also, Sony might have sales for PSVita, PSP and PSone games next year so only the PS3 is just the beginning of the sales.

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 2:14 pm   82

@dgnfly:

RCR is not far for Europe now.
Blame London Studio
They are trying
Blame Google
Blame Developers/Publishers

I think Sony recently claimed Vita sales are as good as expected. The key word is “expected”. Doesn’t necessarily mean good. Think about it:

1. The PS3 and Vita at the moment are cutting sales off each other due to similar pricing. Nintendo of course don’t have this problem.

2. The last year or so (finally) the PS3 has been selling well.

3. They just released the superslim PS3, Wonderbook etc., trying to push it to younger gamers as they’re about to announce the PS4 possibly sometime in 2013.

4. Sony’s consoles life cycle is more than 5 years. We’re not even past the first year for the Vita.

5. The official release dates list on OPM currently has 3 (!!!) Vita titles for 2013.

Get the picture yet? Of course they’re going to keep pushing the PS3 as hard as they can and “ignore” the Vita for now. As soon as the PS4 is in stores there won’t be any competition with the Vita, THEN they can and will really get behind the Vita. Don’t think these people are stupid and need us to tell them how to sell more Vitas. They know very well how the market works, and all they’re doing is trying to maximize profit for the company, not necessarily each individual console.

The ps vita has offer aiready 6 free games and some people they want more :) and this people is plus members ): Maybe some discounts for games like resistance ,cod, fifa, need big discount because is not quality but maybe the next monts take it for free Stay strong everyone to plus and don’t lose it anything. Psp has cheap games

AlucardDHK 21 December, 2012 @ 2:27 pm   85

@Chaosprower:
Don’t blame NIS America for the Persona delay, it’s not their IP, they’re just distributing it in the EU just like Ghostlight did with Persona 3 before and with the same delay. I mostly blame regional translations, PEGI ratings and waiting for a publisher for the US-EU delay in games.

NISA deals mostly with niche games, and compared to Atlus/Xseed they actually care for EU gamers. For the most part, games they release in the US are also released in the EU.

I believe there is/was a NIS Europe label, but it is/was more of a placeholder, everything is treated in the NISA headquarters. Still better than Atlus and Xseed waiting for someone to randomly take a risk and decide publishing their games in the EU.

Nothing for vita. Hope New year will have big vita sale.

Vannaa_Girl 21 December, 2012 @ 2:31 pm   87

Another fun sale where we can try games we never thought of buying.
Just to say Merry Christmas Fred, Jawad, Chris, Nina, Andy and so many more who work hard at SCEE and the blog to bring us news and events, even if that is hard at times.

Has been very fun to interact with many of you and the guest developers who come, many with a really crazy humor :P and spend sometime learning why they made their games and trying them.

Please Remove That SINGSTAR Icon For 2013 Sony!

Many Fanks – Merry Crimbo

I think the 12 deals of Xmas were good, and this festive sale is not bad either (and I expect the New Year sale will be even better, just like everywhere, its not normal to discount everything before xmas, but likely to be good deals in the New Year)
However, I haven’t purchased a single item.
Partly because i now have Plus (which means my backlog has grown even bigger, and I am reluntant to buy things that might be part of Plus next year). Partly because, even if offer for full-price games like todays Hitman are genuinely competitive – I prefer the disk versions to avoid filling the hard drive (17GB for Hitman I believe), and I think it will be even cheaper in Jan/Feb….
What I might have been interested in is some real ‘impulse’ buys, where even if its in Plus later, the price is so low, that there is no regret … meaning one or two pounds… – I have an android tablet now, and are getting things like Plants Vs Zombie or Need for Speed for under a pound … – there have been offers like this here in the past (Rush N Attack, Puzzle Dimension were less than 2 pounds when I got them), but I don’t really see many like that in this sale …

Sadly the singstar icon doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere.

Regardless of how many people it annoys, Sony can’t even be bothered to reply about it now.

Too busy hoping that people accidentally click on it, install it and buy a load of crap 80s songs before realising that first – it’s awful and second you need a USB microphone to actually be able to play it.

They’ve even added a Singstar section to the Festive Sale section on the webstore so it can remind you how annoying it is whilst you’re browsing the “bargain” bin.

“All I can say about this stuff: over the last 12 months we’ve offered discounts on hundreds and hundreds of games. Some of those deals you’ve hopefully thought were great value and snapped up, and others you haven’t. In 2013 we’ll do our best to offer even better deals, and hopefully even more of them.”

And again, I applaud all the deals for the last 12 months, which I don’t disagree with at all.

For the PSVita, which launched in 2012, December was just lackluster. Even with Mortal Kombat releasing through PS+ for free. I guess even you Fred, would acknowledge that it is strange that all the deals are for PS3, both Xmas as well as Festival sales up till now.

All we’re pointing out and rightfully so I’d say, is that for a new toy like a PSVita I -and others like I read above- are missing the love for the device in this very month with Xmas and having days off to play it.

So again, thanks for PS+ offerings in 2012 and the upcoming stuff for 2013, I bet it’ll be some awesome deals the 9th as I believe in the hard work you all do. Just a bit disappointed for this Xmas seeing all these nice PS3 deals out there.

Nothing more nothing less, thats it. Oh and loving Sony’s consoles, the 360 is lackluster since 2008 I’d say when MS just focussed on 3rd party and Kinect mainly. XBL to me isn’t worth paying for anymore, PS+ is. I shifted 100%.

Again, best wishes for Xmas and looking forward to 2013 and see the PSVita sell like hot cakes for a viable and great gaming platform!

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 2:51 pm

well, i was waiting for today for The Walking Dead, Borderlands 2 dlc and mass effect 3 dlc or at least one of those and nothing…
the only things i got from these sales were Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD and probably i’ll buy Under Defeat HD too!

but besides that i didn’t see most of what i’d like to see in sales most of it is very poor choices and i know it’s not everything up to you! but still…old titles and not so good titles…

anyway, Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you guys :D
i wish some of the stuff i mentioned above WILL be at a new years sales or something! fingers crossed xD

Hi Fred

I was reading your reply to comment number 71 and it has given me an idea which I thought I should share with you which could maybe help with some improvements.

Have yas ever thought about maybe hiring some volunteering workers (or at least 1) for 2013?

They can learn some new things from yas, get experience, etc. In return you will have someone that can report things to you, reply to people that you (and other staff) cant reply too. They can also send e-mail, do phone calls, etc whatever needs done really.

It sounds like a good idea to me so it leaves you more time to get more work done, concentrate on the more important things and there would be more happy people round here when they get more replies. I’m sure your sick of seeing people complain all the time about feeling ignored and all that but this could be a solution. Have a volunteering person to do most of the replies for you.

It’s just an idea and as long as there’s an idea, it’s worth trying out :P lol

Anyway have a great Christmas

    Fred Dutton 21 December, 2012 @ 3:14 pm

    Heh, sounds like a phenomenal idea to me :)

    Seriously though, aside from various legal issues around doing something like that, I’m not a big fan of ‘volunteering’, beyond worthwhile charity work or short-term work experience placements. If someone is doing a job, they deserve to get paid, right?

    But yes, if we do ever have an opening along these lines, we’ll be sure to advertise it here!

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 3:15 pm   103

@artopand:
Actually it was supposed to be free for Australia and Germany since MK Vita is banned in those countries so yeah it’s now longer free for rest of Europe now.

EmperorLawlight 21 December, 2012 @ 3:19 pm   104

Just terrible V_V

before my new years resolution about buying new games on release – I did buy Munch’s Oddyesse. All was great and I was enjoying the title until the point where Munch takes control of a robot (the control listing was wrong (not using both sticks but using R1 to fire) I overlooked this issue until I came to the part where Abe makes his first possession – and guess what – HE CAN’T. I’ve tried every combination (including numerous times one from info board) of button presses and he won’t possess – I can’t advance in the game. Please fix this.

secondly in regards to vita titles are we getting Earth Defence Force 2017 and Sumioni? Both are getting digital release or have had release in the US.

AshishSahoo 21 December, 2012 @ 3:30 pm   106

@Everyone at ps blog,
Thanks to everyone at sony for launching the amazing pc store. It really helps me access ps3 store easily.

The blog has really been awesome. I hope you all great guys and gals continue the good work!

Happy holidays, merry christmas and a very happy new year to all!

P.S- I thought world was going to end today, guess the mayans were lying for past hundreds of years then :)

elhozzo3 21 December, 2012 @ 3:37 pm   107

damn!!! too slow for the ‘xmas present’ of Lego Batman … at least, its not free for Plus people on Media-Go or the PS3 Store …

artopand 21 December, 2012 @ 3:41 pm   108

@ Fred:

Got it! Please don’t send me a bill in the post alright?

Merry Christmas guys, off to enjoy my 3 free Vita games!!!!

@AshishSahoo

The Mayans never lied as the Mayans never said the world was going to end some idiot contrived that and the Mexican government made hand over fist promoting it for tourism.

What it means (death of the 5th sun) is we have entered a new astrological age – welcome to the Age of Aquarius and good riddance to the Age of Pisces.

As descendants of the Mayans themselves have said (yes they still exist and the Mayan language is still alive) that we are most fortunate to witness this shift as it only happens every few thousand years.

but if you don’t want to believe the Mayans then I have a hole in my back garden and I can cover you up in it for a 1000 quid

so any fix for Munch’s Oddyesse?

I would REALLY like to know how you can justify giving AUS+GER PS+ suscribers Lego Batman (PSP). I am aware that MK is not available in those countries, but seriously, you couldn’t do better than a game that is over 4 YEARS OLD AND FROM AN OLDER PLATFORM! When I first saw mentions of us receiving Lego Batman I thought we would be getting the Lego Batman game that is on the Vita. But you chose this instead. I mean, surely you could’ve found a title for the Vita, or even a more recent PSP title.

Now onto the Jan PS+ content with MK (PS3) being replaced by Gotham City Imposters. Going from a full game that can be played both on and offline to a PSN game that is purely online. I have heard that the community for this is pretty dead now as well(on a few gaming forums I frequent) so really we are getting something that we may not even be able to play. Looks like it’s too late to change the situation with Lego Batman but can you atleast look at providing a replacement for MK (PS3) that can be played offline.

chrisboers 21 December, 2012 @ 3:44 pm   112

Owww. RATS! Mist that Batman thingy… Oh well.. Merry Christmas to you all, I’m off for the weekend!
(See you all again at the weekend debate!)

Alan2112 21 December, 2012 @ 3:48 pm   113

Managed to spot the lego batman mistake,which is great for me because i have zero interest in beat em ups.I know it’s only a psp game but i’m more likely to play it than MK.

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 3:56 pm   114

@Izorpo:
You mean the Dead River floor texture glitch. I send an e-mail to JAW about the issue and they said they are going to release a patch which fixes it next year.

@supersmith

just posting this on the forums but here is the issue

I bought this game and everything was fine until the first time Much took control of a robot. The controls stated use Left and Right stick. They weren’t Left stick moved but R1 was the attack. I overlooked this issue but then…

When Abe is first able to possess another creature the controls listed state (L2 and R2 to chant). That is correct he does chant but he won’t create the orb to possess. 5 full minutes of chanting didn’t help nor did trying numerous different button combinations help. As a result I can’t progress in the game.

I personally haven’t had any texture glitch but the area I’m talking about is when Abe and Munch first join together

There is no Oddworld Munch’s Oddysee demo on the Portuguese Store. Since what you pay for in an unlock key, it is pretty much useless without the demo.
No answer from the Blog, no answer from Twitter. Tried the customer support e-mail:

“Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:
Portugal_Scee_Info@exch.spe.sony.com
The recipient’s e-mail address was not found in the recipient’s e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you.”

Really? I know the phone support works, but not only is it expensive, they usually know less than the people calling.

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 4:07 pm   117

@lzorpo:
Are you at the Dead River level yet and do you have the same texture glitch. If you happen to have the same issue, can you send me a note on PSN. thanks.

Yes, it is a duplicate comment. There is no Oddworld Munch’s Oddysee demo on the Portuguese Store. Since what you pay for in an unlock key, it is pretty much useless without the demo.

That Lego Batman “gift” was mean! Couldn’t you guys at least have done ONE mistake in our favor? *sniff* ;)

Overall, I am disappointed in the festive sale, as far as I can recall from the scale of last year’s sale, there were far more games on sale and even that was before the PS Vita was released.

However, I am happy about the price reductions on Crazy Taxi and Wrecked: Revenge Revisited, which I will both be purchasing.

Will there be anymore games added to this sale and when will the PS Vita New Year sale begin? I am just asking through curiosity and because I really thought that there would have been some PS Vita games and DLC in the festive sale and I believe that it will calm some people who are disappointed in the sale.

@supersmith

Mudokon Pens (he won;t possess the critter)

Lance_87 21 December, 2012 @ 4:28 pm   122

i think there’s a problem with the Instant Game Collection latest update.

we’re getting only Knytt Underground for PS3 and the non-free PSP version of LEGO Batman.

Mortal Kombat is NOT banned here in Italy, just FYI.

good job I got another memory card this morning, 3 free vita games, datura soundtrack and big sky infinity on PS3 downloaded today

Tonello1976 21 December, 2012 @ 4:46 pm   124

@ Fred & Chris

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (Not available in Germany)
Was €39.99/£29.99/AU$49.95 Now €19.99/£15.99/AU$24.95
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers

Why did it jump back to €35.99,this including the plus discount on the Belgian store?

Thought of getting it maybe after xmas, but not with that price…

Same thing happened with NFS Most Wanted in the 12 deals sale, first there was an additional discount, and after 12hours or so, there wasn’t anymore…
You lost a few sales there, and you will lose some sales again with this one.

Alan2112 21 December, 2012 @ 5:25 pm   125

@ Izorpo I am also having this trouble, are we just missing something? Haven’t had any texture issues though.

fauxtronic 21 December, 2012 @ 5:31 pm   126

Once again, Sony have failed to put free PS+ titles in the PS+ category, meaning the many who were seduced into a subscription but don’t read your blog* probably don’t even know that Knytt Underground (PS3 & Vita) or Mortal Kombat (Vita) are available at a 100% discount. If anybody wants those titles, feel free to use the incredibly sluggish search feature of the new PS Store and find them that way.

* Incidentally I don’t read your blog anymore. I get all my PS+ news Reddit because it means I don’t need to filter through all the useless chaff first. I sought out this post in order to comment because I’m absolutely sick of it happening. Should I put a complaint in writing and send it to Sony HQ in the hope that a manager gets to see it and stops this happening so regularly?

Hi will Zombie Driver HD be available on the EU store soon

elpsydominator 21 December, 2012 @ 6:02 pm   128

Nothing for vita? c’mon guys

spoon_1992 21 December, 2012 @ 7:03 pm   129

@Fred

In the original post it says that Resident Evil operation raccoon city is reduced to €19.99 but in the store it says its €39.99. I assume this is a mistake?

Denzelio 21 December, 2012 @ 7:09 pm   130

The festive sale reads the discounts will end on the 16th January’. Does this mean there won’t be another major sale before the 16th January. With comments by other psn users about a New year sale, will this sale be larger then the current festive sale?. I was disappointed that myself and others had recommend some games to hopefully be added to the festive sale in the initial festive sale blog, when its clear what we had suggested wouldn’t even have been considered at all. Hoping future sales from 2013 onwards will not keep listing the same discounted titles over and over again from prior sales, that we saw through 2012.

Another question, when is the eu (more specifically Australian) region due for it’s next batch of ‘price drops’ games? I noticed games are now only dropped in price in groups every so often on the store. I also noticed Resident Evil 6 is half the price it used to be at $49 on our aus psn store, but this didn’t display under price drops and is not on any current sale.

Damn, missed the free batman loophole…put it back for just a second ;)

XnoobsquadX 21 December, 2012 @ 7:15 pm   132

A very merry christmas to all who read this.
Guys from the blog team cheers for effort. Been a turbulent year lets hope next one goes smooth!

So, this festive sale update…how about actually putting the games on the store? Half of them aren’t there!

A_Nonny_Moose 21 December, 2012 @ 7:32 pm   134

@121

What are you talking about? Knytt and Mortal Kombat were added to Plus section early this afternoon. They’re right there.

Also, while I sympathise with the people living in countries with strict censorship laws, I was happy to snap up Lego Batman when it was accidentally offered for free in the UK. What a lovely Christmas present.

MafiaCub 21 December, 2012 @ 7:34 pm   135

Yeah, same here… half the games are missing. I went on to buy 4 things that supposedly went live today. None are there.

Now you’ll all go home for Christmas… and just like every year for the last 5 years, you’ll have ballsed something up at Christmas, and do nothing about it til you come back on January 3rd and then say “Oh well, they’re available now for one more week” ignoring the fact they aren’t there for X-mas, which is balls when I was buying 4 presents.

Get it sorted.

Erroneus 21 December, 2012 @ 7:51 pm   136

Happy holidays Chris :)

Can you comment on why Jetpack Joyride is missing from so many countries, including the entire Scandinavia :|

Jamesyp00 21 December, 2012 @ 8:01 pm   137

Erm anyone, isn’t operation raccoon city supposed to be £15? it’s only showing up at £26 for me, I know it’s an average game but i wouldn’t mind going for that price.

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 8:02 pm   138

@Alan2112:
Wait, you got to Dead River and don’t have any problems with the texture floor issue? Any chance for proof and how did you not get that problem. =Z

Jamesyp00 21 December, 2012 @ 8:14 pm   139

Comment awaiting moderation?
Anyone else seeing ORC for £26? I wouldn’t mind going for it at £15 since i know it’s an ‘alright’ game.

I’ll second the complaints about regional pricing – Hitman is £16.99 with the PS+ discount which is just under NZ$34 on current exchange rate, yet in our store it is just over NZ$50. I would have bought it in a heartbeat at NZ$34 (just as I did with Sleeping Dogs earlier, especially as it came with some DLC included), but at NZ$50 it’s not really a good deal.

How is it that I could buy a physical copy from the UK, have it shipped across the globe and still pay less than downloading it from the PS Store?

“Difficult business realites” = the developers want to continue price-gouging other regions and Sony can’t stop them, am I right?

nezhet10 21 December, 2012 @ 9:01 pm   141

Still nothing for ps vita….Thank you Sony very much.
by the way i sold my ps vita last week, so i don`t care anymore :D

thermoflask 21 December, 2012 @ 9:23 pm   142

Hey,
I keep getting ‘An error has occurred’ when trying to buy through the PSN, any ideas how to fix?
(Trying to buy the ps2 gtas if that helps)

R_a_z_i_e_l 21 December, 2012 @ 9:39 pm   143

AU is the same as EU right ? AU store hasn’t updated yet for PS+ Underground game ?

supersmith2500 21 December, 2012 @ 10:11 pm   144

@Raziel:
Have you tried manual search?

@Izorpo I deleted my save and started again,it seems to be working fine now.

@supersmith2500 i don’t think i had gotten as far as Dead River due to my glitch preventing me from proceeding any farther,was meerly stating that i hadn’t seen any texture issues thus far.

Voodoo341 21 December, 2012 @ 10:33 pm   146

Epic store update! You have to search for Knytt Underground because they didn’t add it to the store correctly. How incompetent are SCEE?

@Alan2112

I just started over and it seems to be fine now so deleting the save isn’t necessary but obviously starting again is

I wish SCEE would implement ITIL.
It’s free (at least 2.0), it’s by the UK government (yes they did something right) and it makes your work easier.

I get the complaining. A lot of things other companies get right (already for a long time) Sony doesn’t get at all and because of that we the customers geta less of an experiance.
For the futere I will support Sony if they keep the exclusives up, but I move on to the next best thing and wait a few years to pick up a PS4 and some exclusives. Thats the only thing you can do if you don’t like what they are offering and that’s what I’m going to do.

ninenullseven 22 December, 2012 @ 12:07 am   149

I’d like it more if Sony finally admits that Vita sucks. That’s why they don’t support it. :D They are obviously act like that.
Why care about sales, when there is just a dozen of decent games. You can buy them all full-priced anyway. Just to justify purchase of Vita for example. Vita costs more than PS3, and get nothing for a year since release. Little Big Planet is awesome… but… games, you know… support.
Yeap, I do own Vita. And do not own PS3 (I didn’t know Vita is some sort of addon for PS3, not a real handheld with apps and, you know, games). So I can’t see if Sony really care about it’s customers. Maybe guys with PS3 is all happy, but I’m kinda disappointed :D

hello can’t find new offers and f1 race stars has lost its ps+ discount

LTFrank9 22 December, 2012 @ 1:51 am   151

no rant, just still an UNHAPPY customer

For those of you looking for MK and Knytt on vita – do not look in the PS+ section of the store! Just go to the vita games and find them on the list for free. Not sure why they aren’t in the “new” or PS+ section.

Jamesyp00 22 December, 2012 @ 8:09 am   153

So has the whole blog team left for xmas now? Will we not see ay of these mistakes etc fixed till after xmas?

MA76_666 22 December, 2012 @ 9:16 am   154

MK and Knytt for Saudi store the games not showing on ps+ section but you can find it by search all free for ps+

pressmyfoot 22 December, 2012 @ 9:20 am   155

Knytt Underground is amazing.

Much better than the tough guys punching each other game.

YousifPlaysGames 22 December, 2012 @ 11:01 am   156

“F1 Race Stars
Was €49.99/£39.99/AU$69.95 Now €24.99/£19.99/AU$29.95
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers”

Where’s that extra 10% off? Can’t get it on store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com either. My PS3 just gives me the regular sale price… Just like with Most Wanted, the additional Plus discount just disappeared. Fix this, please.

Vita deals.
Thanks.

Sony must really not want sales it seems. I was going to purchase around £10 worth in the sale, but can’t since whoever updates the store clearly needs sacking.

I’d understand if it was just a few times, but EVERY update, something is missing, goes wrong, is wrong price and so on. Clearly they are hiring the wrong people. Sort your act out Sony! Plenty of people want to work for you, and I’ve no doubt, some of them are a lot better than the people you already have on your pay roll. ¬_¬

ruinereraser 22 December, 2012 @ 12:47 pm   159

No Vita love, weak Festive deals and another bag of mistakes and delays this week. There’s really not a week without an error on your side. SCEE Store team sucks big time, all of you should be sacked and either merged with SCEA or replaced by professional management team next year. Therefore, no best wishes to you, as you don’t deserve it.

pressmyfoot 22 December, 2012 @ 1:31 pm   160

My word!

what happened to Op Raccoon City? the price doesn’t match the discount. It should be £15.99 but it’s £30

Can the person who is obviously working on the blog today (since there was a blog post) actually tell us when the festive sale deals will be on the store? Or you going to leave us hanging and ignore us?

superpatchy66 22 December, 2012 @ 3:54 pm   163

d-gal “or are you going to leave us hanging and ignore us”

Now you know how us Vita owners feel!!! lol

all updates to the blog are automatic there is no one home you won’t even get a reply till after xmas

If it was an automatic post, there would be no staff replies on it. There’s 3 replies from a staff member, so clearly someone is working, either at home or in the office.

I’m also a vita owner, but my annoyance is more the lack of actually updating the store after telling us this and that are on it.

fred replied in the blog roundup at 12 -1pm but he also said he was going 2 not be around much in the post and so we are stuck

but also you are right there is someone there as i called up and was told they would look into it but it may take some time

supersmith2500 22 December, 2012 @ 6:04 pm   168

Now the store for browsers are down. >__<

Is someone at SCEE going to fix these prices? since the update yesterday the sale prices have gone back up 90% so we only get 10% off instead of 50%.. they better fix it before the sale ends.

toxic-inferno 23 December, 2012 @ 12:06 am   170

For anyone who hasn’t played it, at 99p, Hydrophobia is an absolute steal! Its not without its flaws, but there’s some really fantastic concepts within the game, and I found it an enjoyable few hours of gameplay. For 99p, you REALLY can’t go wrong!

far cry 3 24.99 no ps+ discount yet on store

Will you be adding new offers this week?
BTW Merry Christmas!

Snotnarok 25 December, 2012 @ 3:33 am   173

Guys I get you’re trying to be awesome with these deals but excluding those of us that JUST got a Vita and are waiting for deals this is sorta lame making us wait for the POSSIBILITY for next week to have good deals. I mean currently you just have last weeks 3 deals in the “Sale category” for full price, that’s not okay.

tekkenism 26 December, 2012 @ 12:17 am   174

Please can you make this happen?
