Dead Space 3 demo should be out for PS3 someday next week so I’ve heard. It’s said that Xbox 360 only has a 1 week early release if registered on some website. I played the demo and must say its really good. Forget playing the demo, its worth just getting the full game

Not really a big deal anyway cos I still enjoy the post but just thought it was nicer reading it the day before the update rather than during. To all the people in Australia/New Zealand complaining about RCR not coming out due to classification. Just because we have an r18+ now doesn’t mean developers will still pay and submit their content to the Australian OFLC. Europe uses a rating system called PEGI, this is the reason for classification issues in Australia/New Zealand now, not an r18 issue like before. In my opinion Australia and New Zealand should adopt the PEGI System, this will then eliminate any classification issues. Now that we have an r18+ it’s sorry you don’t have the PEGI rating system, you have something else we don’t want to pay to have games rated there because of that reason. wtf?

@ 200 – here’s hoping they unveil it at this years E3, i think Xbox is. Here is also hoping that PS get the foothold this time before M$. Though i do worry how much this so called nex gen console is going to impact my wallet. Noting off there last release of PS3 (when first came out), it was close to $900 for the top system.

PS, note that WiiU could do it under $400 AUS. Taking in consideration that this will have BD playback, 3D support and all the bells and whistles (and BD devices are cheap as chips these days), i hope it does not exceed roughly $450 for top model.

It is said to be around $400ish
If they’re smart they’ll keep backplay compatibility. It’s the best fall back method ever and will possibly save their ass. A lot of people have built a collection of expensive PS3 games and will likely not be too happy if they cannot play them.

If anything they should keep backplay compatability for PSX, PS2, PS3 and PSP (obviously not Vita)
Keeping it able to interact with PS3 and the same Trophy system would be a smart move also.

Oh my dear, do you guys really think that Retro City Rampage is worth €11,25!? If so you need to get your heads checked. Hell I wouldn’t pay €1,25…

I think €9,99 for Metal Gear Solid is beyond stupid and it’s an awesome game but too damn old, this retro city rampage at that price I can’t even have words to describe. Just lol.

I just want Chrono Trigger on PS3 at the very least. That is a game everyone would buy because if you hate Chrono Trigger, you were born yesterday and don’t appreciate anything. It is a beloved game.

Breath of Fire IV would be nice too but someone should look into releasing Dawn of Mana and Tales of Legendia as they never made their way here in the first place would would likely sell.
Atelier games also as a new one is about to come out for PS3 and there are already 3 out and 2 for Vita (Which makes it a fairly well known series)

Last of all.. Suikoden 1 and 2.
The fans cried so hard about that one even Konami commented back. It would be nice if Australia could get some love in that regard also as we don’t have Suikoden 1 up while many other places do =(

Thanks for reply saying wait for news about possible Dead Space3 demo, no doubt the possible will refer to some plus access, which is still ok as i can get access to m8s console.. am just hoping it isn’t going to be limited numbers, like the Kllzone3 download a theme and If your in first 10 000 you get in, lol i still have that beta, and it prob works still, as it is dated to expire Oct13. in Services list. Am really looking forwards to demo/Game, can still remember getting plat for 2, that 3 saves only run was one of my best gaming memories, well, After i eventually cracked it that is.. IF i remember right there was a ‘joke’ gun that one shot killed Everything, and i hear a few people needed to get that Before doing the 3 saves run, so the plat was achievable easier, similar to the GoW3 challange arena glitch.. shame theres small loopholes like those in certain games.. though at least the trophy dates/times can tell our m8s who done it properly, or not.

I don’t think Jawad will read my comment, but is there any news when we can rent films on the playstation network in the BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). Because to me it seems we are one of the few countries that can’t do that yet. Please, i’ve been wanting that for over 2 years now, but we still can’t do it. Please Jawad, i want to rent movies .

I think the Vita is the last Sony platform I purchase. If you don’t get these regional differences sorted in the near future, I am done.

I am so tired on getting shafted when it comes to PSN games, Vita apps and general online services.

When you say “Coming to the EU” it often just means “Coming to the UK”. So many disappointments lately.

All retail games are in English here in Scandinavia, so there’s absolutely no excuse whatsoever not to publish PSN games here the moment you publish them in the UK.

This is 2013, get clued in and give your customers what they want. No one likes to be treated like a second rate customer – and that’s how you’re treating us. Simply disgusting and disrespectful.

I am shocked it was left up for as long as it was (couple of minutes) but was glad to see it was taken down because LOTS of people (most in fact) would have found it in the worst possible taste!!

On the subject of PS4 (if any Sony Market Researchers are reading)
Backplay compatibility is extremely important. People were outraged when Wii U removed Gamecube support. People were annoyed that PS3 didn’t play PS2 games but as long as you sell them on the store, people will be happy. Taking away the great store you’ve built would be a huge mistake. If anything you should elaborate and expand upon it. Getting the PS4 out first is very important also. You can lure back some 360 users that defected that way. Reel in more sales over the life of the console.
The terms of sales have changed. Nowadays Cheap Console > Better console unfortunately. That’s Microsoft got away with selling a console that would die a few years later and still have people coming back to buy 2 – 3 more consoles over the course of this generation.

You guys need to market your features and hardware better. PS Vita has plenty of games and yet people still say it has none. People are dumb. Blatantly tell them they’re wrong. Show them a heap of titles. PS Home could be so good if you treated it the way 360 treats it’s avatars and Wii treats it’s Miis. The Eye Toy could be modelled and marketted better aswell since it’s essentially the same as kinect. And MOVE is better then the motion controls of a wii. Also, make it so multiple accounts can sign in at once. XBox fans will always quote this as a selling point. Extending you Cloud Backup to PS+ members to include PSX and PS2 saves also would be nice also.

I finally got around to trying Retro City Rampage on my Vita. Well after my initial interest died off, mind you.

And I have to go… wat? All the fuss, for that? I appreciate the oldskool sensibilities and that it was made by one guy. But honestly, it’s not really a good game, by any stretch of the definition. I’ll give it a good word in parting for the nice retro touches, but as a game I simply have no urge to play it at all – certainly not at the asking price.

I got Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD (Vita) for €10 (PS+) and this awesome game is infinitely better value than an 8-bit nostalgia parody with really bad gameplay. The value simply isn’t present in RCR, sorry.

Still no Resident Evil 2 for Vita and now Orgarhythm & Sumioni: Demon Arts only for half of Europe, “good” job, Sony… -_-

Lastly, Voice chat via mic/text with a group function (As 360 users also quote this being a major selling point in social connectivity) and just have four times as much RAM as you need. Even if it’s simply to up the specs. People look at that and make judgements without even playing the console. If you have extra anyway, you can put it to secondary use. I know a lot of people that store music on an xbox and listen to it while they play games. Might be a nice idea. And maybe try and incorporate with Nintendo did with the Wii U controller with the Vita if it’s synched with the PS3.
Have map screens show up on the Vita and have the Vita used as the controller. A few ‘Requires Vita” games would cash in nicely and also probably play quite well ^_^

That would invalidate the Wii U right off the bat and have them on their way to becoming a software company/handheld only manufacturer.

You’re really missing the boat not adding Trophies to everything. All PSN and PS3 game should have them. And now PS mobile is up, it should have them too. Adding them to Vita was a great move.
Why? Because many people play things ONLY for the achievements.
Microsoft has capitalized on this brutally. Xbox achievements are now availble on all platforms(Windows Phone, Suface, Windows 8 Products) that are owned by Microsoft and they are starting to offer achievements thru IPad/Iphone games. And you wonder why so many people buy their products when in a sense they’re all linked together and the players remember what they’ve accomplished in their entire gaming career. MANDATORY Trophies for all PS3, PS Mobile, PS Vita and PSN games from now on. If anything you should increase the amount of trophies per game. Especially for PSN releases. 4 – 12 is pretty weak. And games that have achievements of 360 and no trophies on PS3 tend to get looked down on. Look at Oblivion. Yet you still let them make a 5th anniversary edition with no extra content and no trophies.

Seriously, trophies make games ‘must haves’
The cynical people that didn’t care are slowly shifting opinions the more trophies they actually get.

Yeah, Sony needs to sell a lot more Vitas to get 3rd parties to make games for the system. So far they are failing, which is sad, as the Vita is a very nice handheld. I’m not really sure what Sony/SCEE is thinking at this point… they just look incompetent.

Sony can’t even get the games that already exist published here and there no YouTube, no PSM, no video store etc. etc.

How can you fail this hard? It’s like no effort is being made at all.

About Vitas and the apparant lack of interest, by sony in getting more devs involved. as a day1 buyer, then seller, i have thought about it a bit, and i agree with above posts, sony don’t seem That bothered by lack of catering for All owners, i believe the vita is going to be a Must have accessory for ps4, and in meantime IF sony can also make some good selling games for it, then that’s a bonus, for them. IF they can’t or upset vita owners at present, then it’s just tough luck, am almost willing to bet on it that this has probably been the main interest all along. obviously the wi iu is a good example of what i am trying to describe.. one day most every ps4 user will feel the need to own a vita as well. sony, like many businesses plan Years ahead, and squeeze every penny of profit possible within these plans.. i am just sad i believed the RP and other hype. when i did.. still, while sony are waiting for this bigger plan to arrive, there does seem to be a Lot of content vita owners around.. so i guess it’s still, so far so good, on cust satisfaction at least.. as for sales figures, well that answers ‘true meaning’ is only known by a few people. Why the hell isn’t Retro City Rampage available in Australia? There’s no good reason for this. It’s 2013, we have an R rating, so tell me why I can’t play a game I’ve been waiting to be released for MONTHS because whatever reasons that nobody would give info on
