Hi everyone! It’s been a little while since the last update but we’re really excited about the year ahead for PlayStation Plus as we strive to bring you great content and fantastic discounts on a range of games and services.
There are three new PS3 games and two for PS Vita in the line-up for February, as well as awesome titles such as Guardians of Middle Earth, Mortal Kombat and Jet Set Radio that are already available right now! So, without further ado…
New PlayStation 3 content
We’re very happy to announce that from 6th February for one month, you can download the awesome Sleeping Dogs.
This action adventure game from our friends at Square Enix takes you deep into the violent criminal underworld of vibrant, neon-lit Hong Kong. You’ll assume the role of Wie Shen, an undercover cop looking to take down the Triads from the inside. You’ll have to prove yourself worthy as you fight your way up the organisation, taking part in brutal criminal activities without blowing your cover.
Critics worldwide agree it’s a top-tier open-world action title – make sure you grab this while it’s available!
Your second addition to the Instant Game Collection is the extremely fun F1 Race Stars from Codemasters. The Plus service has been a little shooter-heavy over the last couple of months so in the interest of diversity why not kick back, relax, get some friends round and have a good time with this addictive multiplayer racer.
Your final PS3 addition this month is ingenious first person puzzler Quantum Conundrum, designed by Kim Swift – one of the creators of Valve’s classic brain-teaser Portal.
Quantum Conundrum sends you on a quest of inter-dimensional problem-solving to rescue your mad-scientist uncle, who’s gone missing somewhere in his labyrinthine mansion. The professor’s latest invention, the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device (or ISD), should prove quite useful in navigating the obstacles in each room – such as death lasers and pools of skin-melting “science juice.” Gulp.
New PS Vita content
First up for PS Vita on 13th February is the oft-requested WipEout 2048. Reborn for PS Vita to take advantage of the system’s unique features and dazzling OLED screen you can race up to eight players simultaneously online and compete for first place on the global leaderboards.
Next up, on 20th February, is an incredibly addictive game from our friends at Ubisoft. Lumines: Electronic Symphony is the first PS Vita outing for this popular franchise, bringing together block-dropping puzzle action with an all-new 3D graphics engine and some of the biggest electronic music artists around.
As usual, over the coming weeks you can also expect exclusive PS Plus discounts on lots of other titles, including Just Cause 1 and 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Dust 514 Mercenary Pack and Alien Breed Trilogy. We’ll update you on these offers and more in the weekly Store posts. Also, Plus members will have access to an exclusive theme for Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch from 30th January.
On top of all that, I’m very pleased to announce that as of 6th February we will once again be bringing you a fantastic discount on the 90 day membership for PlayStation Plus. oh my god…..sleeping dogs free i don’t believe this.this game just launched this year and now here it is free…wow!you scee guys are awesome…..best ps+ month,if this deal does not invite some new users to ps+ i don’t know what will.and to top all of this quantum conundrum free too….awesome selection of games.
now this will definitely shut those guys up who are regularly complaining about the choice of games that are made free….

We are working on disounts for DLC for both Sleping Dogs and F1, I can’t guarantee anything at the moment but hopefully we will be able to update you over the coming days.
Ps glad you like the Ni No Kuni theme, it was designed by a very talented young man in our offices here

But I was wondering if Mortal Kombat (Vita) will be available for Australians on PS Plus? It has been re-submitted to the classifications board and will now get an R18+ rating and be available in Australia.

When I saw Sleeping Dogs on the post preview I was a little disappointed as that particular game doesn’t interest me (not that I expect every game to)….
…but them my goodness me did the rest of the post make up for it!
F1 Race Stars – brilliant, looking forward to it and really glad I bought LBPK in the sale instead of this.
Quantum Conundrum – great, it’s good to get a variety of interesting games.
WipEout 2048 – fantastic, especially for the cross-play with the PS3 version.
Lumines – perfect! I love Lumines but was reluctant to buy the game for £20-30.
PS Plus is simply the best thing in PlayStation gaming, keep it up.

Realy good update this month. Congratulations!
Just think you could give Vita a little more of a boost. There are realy good games that aren’t blockbusters like Escape Plan, A-men or even Sine Mora could be easier to bring to +.
Is by any chance Rayman Origins commig to +? Or Assassins Creed (this one is a long shot :p)
Anyway, keep up the good work.

but i have 1 problem = to many other games are coming .
wil accept game but not download to play in future moth whith lesser games .
stil huge amount of time needed to login paswoard verification takes more then 1/2 min

Why do people like Wipeout? I’ve never understood what is so great about it. (Will try it on Vita …probably once again come to same conclusion.)

Looks like February is going to be an awesome month!
I was looking at buying sleeping dogs today and glad I decided against it.
Wipeout is going to be awesome as ever and sleeping dogs is an amazing game but the F1 racers is not that good, however its free and no one can complain about that. Looking forward to a new puzzle game too.
Good spread Sony and I’m looking forward to my new hours of upcoming gaming.

Nope as long as you continue to have your subscription you will always own the game. It is only when you do not renew your sub that they will be removed from your account

what i would like to know is if we are getting any new avatars? i know we sometimes get new themes. and that is good.
but i would like to request some god of war avatars prob excluisve to plus.
or some playstation themed avatars like a controller or a move item.
or we could get the 15th aniversery avatar like the us got. might be very late but im sure people would like that.

I already own Sleeping Dogs and can confirm it’s a good fun open world romp of fighting, driving and karaoke. Surprised how quickly it’s come to PLUS, only came in July/August last year so only six months old.

Unfinished Swan will be discounted in the future but we do not have a date nailed down for that yet.

Already got Sleeping dogs in the christmas sale as well as many of its DLC in the sale after. A little disappointed that its offered for free so soon. But there is still many other games I dont have so not a bad month. Especially looking forward to Wipeout on the Vita. Was holding off just coz I got a hunch it might be given to ps+.

simply awesome, really wanted to play sleeping dogs but was waiting for a huge price drop but free is better than i hoped for. and looking forward to playing Quantum Conundrum and i was thinking i need to extend my psn+ subription and you drop the price
and this all happens on my birthday (feb 6th)pretty nice birthday present from sony.
glad it wasn’t ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 too, literally only just bought it.
got a question, do you know if we’ll be seeing a discount on the walking dead season pass in the near future? really want to get my hands on it, but for a little less of course.

Was going to ask you something, Is there any future plans for having Portal 2 on PS+ someday down the road? Just needed to know if I was safe to buy it at some point (after I’m done with the lot I have at the moment) or wait for it. Horrible month for PS Vita users again.
They totally abandoned it. No good plus content, no new games announcements. Nothing, not even convince Capcom to release the Resident Evil Revalations. Could you please release the best PSP titles for Vita as Plus content? Instead of those crappy ones?
I am afraid if you dont do something NOW, PS Vita will be dead by the end of the year.

1 question though you said a good year ahead, do you mean services for plus as well e.g that cloud gaming it was talk about last year.?

Been a PS Plus member for a year now, and feel so lucky, I’ve only already had one or two games from the IGC!!!!
Tell you what, make PS Plus available for PS4 at launch and I’m buying day 1.
