PlayStation Plus: Your February content

can we PLEASE have borderlands 2 for ps plus in march? it would be perfect and it would also make a money benefit because it wont be to long before a game of the year edition comes out with all the dlc so giving us borderlands 2 will inspire people to buy the dlc rather then wait for the goty!(i dont own it because im waiting for goty, but if i were given it for psplus id have no choice but to buy the dlc)

@Robinsworldwide It’s most likely a case that neither section talked to the other about what was going on offer – there’s so many companies where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing!

You still have the option to view it pessimistically or optimistically – you can view it as you got ripped off as it’s now free or you can view it as you still made a saving as you 100% own the game rather than “renting it” via PS+ (as that’s basically what is happening).

I do understand people’s frustration but these kinds of things happen so often that I’m surprised it’s caused such a fuss… It’s the same risk anyone takes when buying ANYTHING – what you buy today could go on offer tomorrow… You’re assuming that whoever did the sale knew it was going to be on Plus not long after – it’s entirely possible they weren’t aware of it when they put it on sale – that’s all I’m saying (that and you do get a good deal over-all via PS+ ) so maybe you could look on the bright side?

However if they did know it was going to be on PS+ – “Bad Sony/PSN” XD

Yea if you buy something chances are it’s going to be on sale the next day. Do i pay that particular retailer a subscription fee where i get monthly stuff for free though: NO! Clearly you can see how that makes a huge difference.

Both offers were amazing in comparison to other retail titles. In the case of F1 you could say it’s because the game didn’t do well, but Sleeping Dogs did very decent. Coincedence? The answer of SCEE in this thread is not that they didn’t know it was going to be on PS+, the answer is that they try to avoid these situations as much as possible. So they actually admit that it’s not a good thing…they just refuse to take measures so it can’t happen to PS+ members again.

The fact that i admittedly do get a lot of value for money doesn’t justify any malversations on Sony’s behave. The money is not the issue to me whatsoever, it’s about the principle. I’m not bitter, i’m not negative towards PS+ as a whole, i do still love PS+, i just think it should be said when people are being treated unfair.

You probably still won’t agree with me, but you seem like a nice guy and i’m not looking to argue here so let’s just agree to disagree.

Wow, this is the first month where I already own the “top title”. Oh well – I will just get rid of my disc version and DL it again on feb 6th. Any chance of getting one of the HD remakes/collections in March? ICO/SoTC, Silent Hill, Splinter Cell, MGS, RE4 or Okami please? Oh, and RDR: Undead Nightmare, please.

nice games, seems will be a good month, we also look forward plus sales discount however we are not sure we will succeed to purchase subscription bcs we live problems while purchasing for a couple of weeks

Fantastic releases on plus for February.

As for Dead Island as a suggestion for Plus in future, please no. I’m sure most people that were interested have played it by now particularly with the GOTY edition being quite cheap and its not a classic or part of a notable series. I only purchased my PS3 in September and even I have played it.

Dark Souls, Yakuza 4 an God of War 3 are probably the only ones pre-2012 that I’d suggest because they’re both part of notable game series and have another game in each of their series coming.

Hmmm…Uncharted 3 or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be nice, both being part of notable series again so I can overlook the pre-2012 for those two too.

There’s me, about to go onto Amazon and buy Sleeping Dogs, thought I’d check the blog first… And good thing I did!

I have a problem with two of the games i downloaded(recently plus member). These are bioshock and vanquish, i cannot play them. I can skip the intro but when i get at the start screen no button is responding to start nor to navigate through the options.

Any suggestions?

Not a great month for me. Already have Sleeping Dogs (great game though, so I’m happy for other PS+ members) and this has happened a few times for me. Last time was Mortal Kombat. I wish there was some sort of other reward for people who already have the games that are offered, or perhaps the ability to choose between a few selected titles, like that time that PSN was hacked?

I’d also like more RPGs available on PS+ since I don’t remember seeing any. Ni No Kuni would be awesome but I doubt that you’d give us that since it’s so new. Still, if you’re feeling generous… =D

As for the Vita, I’d love to try out New Little King’s Story but it’s still pretty expensive. Hopefully it’ll be an option in the future though?

Either way, please think of your RPG fans. I’ve had a few first person shooters which I’ll never play because I don’t like the genre but I’d love more RPGs. Course, I have a lot of those already but it’d be nice to see some on PS+.

hmm…was thinking, how about the MGS HD remakes and 4? Given that it got trophies recently, and that what people are thinking is 5 “Phantom Pain” is out…next year I think? be interesting to get the series and see if its worth the hype (4′s demo was very meh, and given how cheap they all are anyway? might aswell + it )
or perhaps Resi 6/ Racoon City? Mainly due to interest as to hw bad they actually are o_O (If Sonic 06 or any of the ones before Colours were on the store Id suggest them too :p. Adventure 2 might be decent for people that never got it years ago, sucks theres no online Chao training/battling however >_>)

Oh hellz yeaz..I have been waiting to find the right time to join playstation plus, as well as try out sleeping dogs. I would love me some Ratchet & Clank FFA Vita though so hopefully it does come out this month. Question? Can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese somehow suggest to Sony that they should add Remote-play & cross-controller to both Full Frontal Assault & R&C collections. Sly Cooper Collection and infamous would also be nice with these features. Sony has put ps-move in things but not given the Vita much Cross-controller remote-play love and we want more.

What a awsome update, I do like free exclusive avatars? I want a sniper elite v2 avatar but I don’t think it will hqppen (Can’t buy the guns/Dlc/online pass on it anymore) Why removed?

doubt Chris is still reading, let alone replying to these, but yeah LA Noir seems decent (heard it was somewhat repetitive later on) or Heavy Rain. Is it you contacting them or them contacting you and offering to put thigs up on the store? as it seems to generally be things that the sequal is coming out ina few months anyway and they want hype. In which case is it even worth us suggesting?
On a sidenote, new avatars and themes would be nice (as would removing Singspam , leave it for the non +ers ;P) as would the ability to vote on them, perhaps do a trial run with avatars, and then when its fixed (Scee has a bad track record x_X) use that to atleast get suggestions for games, and how many peope want at the very least a genre, if not a specific game (which could be your choice or let people go mental and pick their own and vote up five and vote down five, then try and get the top 3-5 rated games for a future month)

Nothing that I’m interested in besides Sleeping dogs and Wipeout, which I already have.. I got plus just for the Ni no kuni theme though :p

Some personal suggestions : SSX, NBA2K13, Darksiders 2, Sorcery, Driver SF maybe? Castlevania : Harmony of despair, Walking dead and Back to the future series, .. The store is acting up again so that’s all I’m gonna search for now :p Oh and Street fighter X Tekken for Vita would be nice too :p

Can we get more discounts for plus members? I mean discounts exclusively for plus members, not just an additional 10% (which usually means 80 pence off).

You say it is difficult to negotiate discounts with publishers/developers… how difficult was it to negotiate such long discounts on Halfminutehero, Innocent life, Harvest moon, Valhalla Knights 1 and 2, Blazing souls accelate, Arc the lad? They seem to have been on discount forever.

I’m really happy about this month, sounds pretty cool. ^-^
I hope, there’ll be a game, like Uncharted 2/3, Killzone 2/3, Resistance 2/3 or Disgaea 3/4 in the next months.

@jay_mz Yeah man, I’ve stopped buying stuff on the store especially for Vita and held back on a lot of retail games (Sleeping Dogs being one of them, not that I game that much these days) unless it’s something I /really/ want.

I would say you’d be better holding back on impulse buys and keep the plus sub going. It’s a bit of a gamble either way though.

I don’t have many nice things to say about Sony – SCEE especially – these days, but one of them is that plus (for the games, not the other crap) is heaps of value for money.

I know loads of people have suggested this already but what about Shadow of the Colossus and Ico?

Sleeping dogs is downloading but my kids wanted F1 stars and its saying only 1.1GB download and I selected full game is that right. ,??

You sure it goes live at 3pm? I’ve been downloading it since 1pm and it’s at 24%. Such bad internet. It seems to be 2 hours early now. Unless you mean should be available for everyone by 3pm

@dark_angel69 you will find they star adding new stuff from about 11am on a wednesday to update but for all the stuff it takes a while and dont finnish putting them in there right places to about 3pm

On the first page of the PlayStation Store (German) we still have a poster of sleeping dogs. I a specially buy ps + on this occasion, and what now? NO sleeping dogs, the money spent, I request a refund for cheating the customer.

I’m from Germany and I’m not able to download “Sleeping Dogs” yet.
It’s not even in the Store.

I feel like i’ve have been cheated. I bought PlaystationPlus like 2 days ago for around 20 dollars or (115 kr.) and now it is on sale 30% off. Why is the advertising so late, so that i pay “too much” instead of buying the “new-customer-discount” or whatever you could call it.
I hope that in the future there will be announcements earlier!

The number of times I’ve done that.just chalk it up to experience and remember it the next time a must buy game appears.Just ask yourself,can I live without it for six months?
