As ever, January was a relatively quiet month for new releases, so the charts were dominated by a mix of end-of-year blockbusters and older titles benefiting from discounted prices. Let’s have a look how everything lined up:
Full PS3 game downloads:
Saints Row: The Third took the top spot by a whisker thanks to some nice savings in our January sale. New releases DmC Devil May Cry and Demon’s Souls didn’t quite make the top 10, though both were released at the end of the month.
- Saints Row: The Third (Re-entry)
- Just Cause 2 (5)
- Sports Champions 2 (RE)
- Far Cry 3 (1)
- PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (RE)

- Lord of the Rings: War in the North (New)
- Borderlands 2 (RE)

PS Vita games:
It was a second month of chart domination for Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD on the PS Vita chart. Congratulations to the team at Just Add Water. Retro City Rampage put in a strong showing to debut in second place, while Table Top Tanks and Table Ice Hockey popped up courtesy of price cuts.

But they are still going to offer Germany an alternative and they already turned one down as being below par, so why not offer choice.
Yes the easy thing would be to offer the cut version. I doubt hitman will be offered as it has no dlc and is too recent. If they did offer it I’m sure lots of non-German users would be annoyed.

Well there is just 3 months between the release of Hitman Absolution and Sleeping Dogs and they are both of the same quality (both got 83% ratings at Metacritic). Purely logical, Hitman is by far the fairest replacement option that remains from SquareEnix’ library.
And some people will be annoyed anyways, as we’ve even seen some who would have prefered Gotham City Imposters over Mortal Kombat, so …
But SquareEnix wouldn’t agree to that anyway. I’d guess that it’s their fault that we didn’t receive SD cut, so my trust into their motivation is near 0.

There may be 3 months between hitman and sleeping dogs but hitman is also less than 3 months old, so it’s still a ‘chart’ game. Like I said before its also lacking significant dlc that would entice square to give it for free

Hey is there any chance at all of seeing rogue galaxy. Ff12. Suikoden 1-5 and viewtiful Joe on psn??? There seems to be an influx of games no one is interested in and no love to the classics that everyone wants. Thanks

Hmmm… are we reading the same charts? Every title with an (RE) next to it charted by virtue of a price discount, and most of the titles that climbed the lists did so due to being on sale. I’d say that’s the majority of the charts this month.

Hey there. I know it’s fun to look for conspiracies but there really isn’t one here.
Sorry you didn’t find anything to your liking in our recent sales. Hopefully we’ll have something for you next time.
