Sack It To Me: LittleBigPlanet content round-up

This week we thought that we’d dedicate the blog to featuring a great selection of content across LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting. We have LBP.me links, videos and even a great story behind a fan-made video game recreation on LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.

Take a gander at what our amazing community are creating in LittleBigPlanet!

LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks
Starting this week’s LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks we have a great Wheel of Fortunes game that will see you spinning the wheel and playing mini-games to try and score more points than your friends.

If you’re looking for a bit more danger in your excitement though, you will want to check out the High Oc-Train (1-4 Minigame) which will see Sackboy darting between fast-moving trains and falling boulders in a bid for survival!

Rounding off this week’s LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks, we have Another Planet – A grand platforming adventure that has Sackboy leaving LittleBigPlanet and visiting another planet within the ever-expanding Omniverse.

Head on LBP.me to check out these great levels and some of our favourite levels featured in the LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks!

Community Spotlights: LiBitsmate No. 11
The folks from the LiBitsmate team are back with a brand new collection of their favourite levels from community members coming from Japan.

Be sure to check out this great hub level during your next visit to LittleBigPlanet and see just what our Japanese community members have to offer.

Surge Lite on LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
Now here’s a wonderful story that came to our attention last week, one of our community members leklack was unable to find Surge by the great folks at FuturLab on the PlayStation Store, only to discover that it hadn’t been released in her country yet.

This didn’t deter community member evret though, as he began working straight away on a LittleBigPlanet PS Vita conversion of Surge just for leklack. You can check out this great level for yourself in the video below.

FuturLab were so impressed by evret’s new level and his dedication to bringing Surge to LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, that they declared that evret needs a medal!

We couldn’t agree more and are pleased to award evret with the Rare Prize Crown and the even more fabled Awesomesauce Pin for crafting this amazing recreation of Surge, which you can now queue up and play on LittleBigPlanet PS Vita too!

I heard rumours that Sumo Digital is making LBP3. Is it true?

Do costumes work on LBP Karting now?

Last time I played I wasn’t able to get my costumes to work :(

Yes, please give us an update as to the situation with the costumes for LBP Karting, something that was promised and still hasn’t appeared.

Your LittleBigPlanet Karting wardrobe will soon be stocking up with all sorts of cool gear for your Sackboy to wear whilst on the race track.

Cool stuff but all i want now is a ‘MM’ LBP3 maybe on PS4! ! ! :P :P :P

Steven as i said on the american blog the only way i see the upcoming announcement being big/special is if you guys announce a lbp karting psvita version with cross platform play, cross save as well. Now that would be an announcement.

Steve, quick question. There is a rumour that Sumo Design is going to be making LBP3 and might be on PS4. Do you think MM is still involved?

One day I hope LBP gets a Deus Ex Human Revolution costume pack.. one day.

I really wish Karting was on the Vita. I have it on the PS3 but have only played it for about half an hour. I find games like that so much more fun on a handheld…

Thank goodness for Sonic All Stars Racing!

PLEASE ADD MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

just seen on US blog about costume compatability and new costumes sackboy policeman :)

Hey Steven, you said before that if a person doesn’t have a Vita, but has a friend that has a Vita, and both parties have the DLC pack for the cross crontroller pack, that the person without the Vita can still get all the trophies. I don’t have a Vita but a friend is helping me since I have the DLC pack, yet I’m not getting any progress for the 5 community levels trophy. Can you help me out with this? Thank you.

The Emergency Services Costumes and the Emergency Services Karts will be released globally.

They will be released when the European PlayStation Store updates on Wednesday. :)

I’m from England myself, so of course I would want to see this content released in Europe and around the rest of the world too! =D
