Hey everyone. As promised, we are releasing a fresh pack of content for Zombie Driver HD tomorrow. It’s called the Apocalypse Pack and it includes two awesome cars available in all game modes, plus an extra Slaughter Mode map – the Military Base.

Both of the new cars are guest appearances from our earlier project – D.I.P.R.I.P, which was a multiplayer car combat game released in 2008 as a free Source Engine mod.

The first of the two is called the “Chaos 126p” and it’s a small and nimble monster truck (as far as monster trucks can be small, anyway). It’s very fast and handles incredibly well in tight corners. The second one is a huge custom made truck with jet engine exhausts called the “Auroch”. It can ram through anything it its path, has lots of nitro and can carry up to eight passengers in the Story Mode.

The Military Base Slaughter mode map is one of the larger levels and as the name implies it’s a based in an abandoned army depot. If Slaughter Mode was about ice skating I could say that it’s the perfect place for making beautiful loops in harmony with soul-touching music, but fortunately it’s not, so you can exchange loops for insanely long combos and soul-touching music for the sound of metal ploughing through hundreds of zombies.

I know that everyone likes pictures so we created a short trailer for you that presents the new content:

Additionally, the Apocalypse Pack is coming at a 30% discount for PS Plus subscribers. If you have any suggestions for what you’d like us to add to the game in the future, let me know in the comments below.

Do you plan a VITA version too?

Any trophies?

Are you planning to release DLC for the other platforms?

i have the US version of this dlc and i dont see either one of the cars or the new arena and was wondering is there something wrong with the dlc?

The new map should be visible at the end of the Slaughter Mode map list, after Paradise Island. The new cars should also be available in all game modes from the beginning.

You might not see the new content if for some reason you wouldn’t have the full game unlock key installed and you are checking the trial version. One more possible scenario is if for example you would buy a few items on the PSN store at the same time, the DLC could end up at the bottom of your download queue and it simply hasn’t downloaded yet.

If none of this is the case please contact Sony support.

Chaos 126p :D Hahahaha :) The legendary car :)

The game looks really cool and all, I love the idea of turning Maluch into a monster truck :) I’d surely buy it for my Vita, it’s a pity there is no such version :( I’m gonna have to think about the PS3 version, as this are not the type of game I want to play when I sit down in front of my TV.

I was really expecting this dlc but it’s not available in Portugal :-( Any chance this might change??

It should be available in the same territories as the base game, this includes Portugal. It is a bit buried in the in-game store though. You have to open the Download Content link in the main menu of the game, after that you will need to enter the Zombie Driver HD item inside the PSN store and the DLC will be visible inside it. If it’s not, please let me know and we’ll have this fixed.
