PS Plus exclusive: Download God of War HD for free today!

Why is it that this demo is PS plus only when on NA marketplace anyone can download it?

Can this be played via remote play?

Chris, please tell me you guys have a total revamp in mind for the PS4 subscription services?

Gamer’s like myself, that buys 99% of all launch titles, the PS+ service has little or nothing on offer.

Not wanting to use Microsoft as an example, but they have a deal where they offer a percentage of MSPoints for the total number of Achievements one has. So an avid gamer who supports both the developers and Microsoft by actually buying their games, is rewarded financially. Granted the MSPoints given in relation to the actually Achievements is poultry…but still. At least the Hard/Core gamer is appreciated by MS.

At 7879 Trophies, no rentals, and no second hand purchases, I’ve spent and continue to spend a lot of money on the PS3. But it seems to be the case that the less you spend, and the least amount of games you actually buy for the PS3 the better.

Perhaps I should make my Wii-U or 360 my main console, and just continue with the PS+ service for “free” games on the PS3 as a particular demographic is being penalised for spending money. Crazy considering it’s the demographic Sony earns the most money from.

I know this is off topic but I haven’t received my download code email for Motorstorm RC yet (this is in reference to the Ratchet and Clank PS Vita cross buy) and was wondering who I would need to contact?

Surely the PS+ service is also having a negative knock-on effect?

I was reading comments on the last PS+ Blog update, and gamer’s were asking for ‘Ni Nu Kuni’ (an absolutely awesome game that deserves huge support). Bt numerous stated they were going to hold off on buying it because they expect it to come through the PS+ pipeline at some point.

How is this good for the industry?

Someone the other day was complaining that the UK didn’t receive ‘Binary Domain’ (another great game) that was a German domain replacement for ‘Sleeping Dogs’. It’s got to the point that this gamer wouldn’t actually contemplate going out and..y’know…actually buying it because no doubt he/she expects to get it free at some point.

In principle PS+ is a great idea. A great way for developers to reach certain gamer’s who’re financially in a position that wouldn’t buy their games in a normal given day. But now some gamer’s are waiting. Why go out and buy a title full price when in six moths time there’s a 90% chance they’ll get it for free?

In the long term I can’t see this having a positive effect for the industry.

Any chance that both of the GOW collections will be available for discounted price?…

Can’t find it on PSN+.

dowloads 3 big tings = no problem.

I’m in cod bo 2 and 1 st match running the game again totally lag + symbol you do not have Internet + psn kicks me out!!! (Cod bo 2 last patch = not fixing tings , i can not play 1 match online )

This is the first time I’m posting here. I bought a PS3 3 months ago and I have to say that PS+ is the best thing that happened to gaming this generation, besides day one downloadable retail games. This service is fantastic and I’m happy to pay the subscription price if you keep the content we get so good. Great surprise. Will go along nicely with the demo for Ascension.

Sweet! GOW1 was my personal favourite in the series. Will be great to replay it before Ascension comes out.

Your logic is mostly is flawed.

You don’t seem to understand that Plus generates new customers. I had no Vita, before it was covered by Plus. Meanwhile I bought about 4 or 5 games. So Sony gained a new customer, that’s called a success dude.

He sold more copies on the PSN than Steam and far more than on XBL. Plus came just on top to make him a very satisified developer, with the promise of more content to follow. I think that’s considered a success too, right?

And seriously, if you think that there is a 90% chance to get exactly that game that you want, you are nuts. Either you have no idea how many games are released each year, or you overestimate how many games are shared via Plus.

The only real difference for me is that I buy less “random purchases”. Those games that I really want, I’ll always get anyway. Maybe not at once, as the backlog is growing faster than ever, but soon enough.

Your idea of another main console made me chuckle too btw.

And Xbox and PS mostly share titles, so what would be the difference? You’d buy the game on A and might get it later on B for free? And that would make you feel better? Smart!

Is it just me or can no one else find this? The ps store is very hard to find certain things I searched god and the only got of wars that came up were collection, collection 2 and ascension. I went to ps2 classics and god of war isn’t even in there.

I’ve only recently become a PlayStation owner (January 2013) so I have missed out on A LOT of title over the years. I’ve been told many a time that the GoW games are fantastic and as a result, I’m so excited to give it a go.

It’s a nice bonus, indeed. However, I own the game already. I find myself disliking PlayStation Plus more and more because most of the freebies with the new Plus, are games I already own…

In this case, I own the game twice. Once on PlayStation 2, and once as part of the God of War Collection…

We own Okami (ps2) and I have Demon’s Souls on platinum with 300+ hours, so I’m hesitant to buy them.

I remember that is has been mentioned that files remain in the cloud for 6 months, for you to re-subscribe. Afterwards they’ll be deleted.
