‘Heads-up’ PlayStation Store update, 6th March 2013

TombRaider_Hero_PVWIMG

First up, Tomb Raider, the acclaimed reimagining of Lara Croft from developer Crystal Dynamics, drops onto PlayStation Store this week. Look out for it on Friday.

NinjaGaidenSigmaPlus_FeaturedImage_PVWIMG

On PS Vita, leap into action once more in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus as Ryu returns for another outing, this time on a journey to retrieve the Demon Statue. Buy early from PlayStation Store and get an exclusive costume pack (offer available until 26th March).

Elsewhere in the digital world, sports fans will be happy to see SCE San Diego’s fantastic baseball sim MLB 13 The Show secure an EU launch for both PS3 and PS Vita. Also well worth a look are Germinator for PS Vita, and PS2 titles Midnight Club and Midnight Club 2.

PS Plus refreshes today with some great new content, including Mass Effect 3, Dead or Alive 5, Joe Danger 2 and discounts aplenty! Don’t forget there’s also still time to nab God of War HD if you haven’t done so already. Oh, and Kratos fans might also be interested in our beefy GoW sale!

Hi Guys, Just throwing this out there for anyone that doesn’t know RESIDENT EVIL 2 IS NOW PLAYABLE ON PS VITA.

vickaz91 6 March, 2013 @ 3:04 pm   2

nice ms3 man awsome for plus also any new on cs go will it ever hit ps3 europe or is it the game that got away

BakaOsaka 6 March, 2013 @ 3:04 pm   3

Looking good this week, thanks.

Voodoo341 6 March, 2013 @ 3:05 pm   4

Really miserable PS plus discounts again for another month.

supersmith2500 6 March, 2013 @ 3:05 pm   5

The store isn’t even fully updated yet.

Is there any chance of the EU having a sale of EDF 2017 for the vita like the US has currently?

Wahoo blog post!

Oh, Jawad I need to tell you, in the Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires Bundle description, it says “in game dialogue: English”, or something similar. it then says “in game text: English”.

Thats only part tight, there is no English dub in this game, its Japanese voices.

monoliet 6 March, 2013 @ 3:06 pm   8

free dolls in littel big planet = fun.
free music packs ragnorack odysee = fun (except outside 7-8-9 music packs the other dlc can not be seen on vita under additional content icon)

terraria trailer = While awaiting the game is slightly better then nothing.
i hope u hurry to aprove the game.

Rest skinny update for me.

And the online requirement to stay always online whith psn version of the game tomb raider = to any honest gamer little respectful , and i refuse to take part in this kind of mali fide practices.

@Chris
I appreciate those free themes for Plus, but I’d much rather want to see Avatars instead. Seriously, I can make better themes on my own (though not dynamic) or get them from some free sites.

Avatars on the other hand …

BakaOsaka 6 March, 2013 @ 3:06 pm   10

No 1 year PS Vita sale here?

Silent_Gig 6 March, 2013 @ 3:06 pm   11

Good spread this week, its like jam on toast. Strawberry flavour.

Technogamer 6 March, 2013 @ 3:08 pm   12

WHAT!?!

why on earth is TR not out on PSN until friday? i can usually understand games not coming until friday whilst being announced with Wednesday updates, but TR came out globally yesterday for petes sake!!

other than that, not a bad week :)

LordOfThePies80 6 March, 2013 @ 3:08 pm   13

Defenders of Ardania was out of the blue. Been waiting for a good tower defense title.

If the continuously absurd pricing of games is at all indicative of next-gen Store offerings and the Gaikai service then I hope the higher ups will realise that the PS4 will very quickly and very loudly get laughed out of the room by gamers. I want it so badly to do well but god damn you can get Tomb Raider for £30 day-one in stores.

Dante_Zero 6 March, 2013 @ 3:08 pm   15

Any word if psvita app friend network will be making it to Europe given that it’s getting a US release? Cheers

supersmith2500 6 March, 2013 @ 3:09 pm   16

@BakaOsaka:
We aleady had it.

Hey Jawad,

Are we getting Metal Gear Rising Revengeance on PSN Store ?
It’s available on USA PSN store.

Thanks

10# We already had it. I think it was about 2 weeks ago.

Turtleing 6 March, 2013 @ 3:10 pm   19

Great line up for ps vita…not.

Nightmare966 6 March, 2013 @ 3:10 pm   20

That #1 post has to be one of the most sueful ones I’ve ever seen anywhere :P Thanks for the Heads-Up Bladesy.

Hi Jawad, glad to see you back! I have a few questions I hope you can answer for me, about some Batman DLC:

1 – Do you know if the Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC for the normal edition is going to return to the Store at some point? The US Store has it all there, for both, Standard and GOTY versions. I know both Stores are dfferent, but one would think Warner Bros. would have put them all back for both.

2 – Harley Quinn’s Revenge’s price has gone up from 7.99€ from release to 9.99€ a few months ago. Do you know the reason for this? It seems really strange :/

I already tried asking these to WB, but they redirected me to their Custom Support, who know just as little as me so you’re *literally* my only hope on this.

Thanks beforehand :)

(PS: How is dat Metal Gear Rising going? :D)

    Jawad Ashraf 6 March, 2013 @ 3:24 pm

I’ve noticed the Arkham Asylum DLC does pop in and out. It’s usually a decision from WB but I’ll see what I can find out.

Pricing of content can shift every now and then. Sadly there’s not a lot we can do about it.

And MGR is going well! Revengeance run now.

jack_gllghr 6 March, 2013 @ 3:10 pm   21

Any chance of getting Persona 3 FES on PS2 onto the store?? Would be great especially with Persona 4 just out!

pb-live 6 March, 2013 @ 3:10 pm   22

@10 – we had a 1 year PS Vita sale already.

irish-sid 6 March, 2013 @ 3:11 pm   23

Bummed about the tomb raider price. Blessing in disguise I suppose, what with having to always be signed in to the psn and only usable on one ps3.
In fact, I’ll just wait until I can get it preowned, cut the developer out of it completely.

bidbaldwolf86 6 March, 2013 @ 3:11 pm   24

Hi Jawad,

US customers have just been given 4 free games as part of the Vita Anniversary. Are there any plans for us to get something similar?

The US got all of these for free

Wild Arms (PS one Classic)
Patapon (PSP)
Piyotama (PSP)
Patchwork Heroes (PSP)

Thanks :)

Please tell me that Ninja Gaiden Σ2 Plus and Ninja Gaiden Σ Plus PRICE IS A TYPO.

That got to be a mistake surley. I mean that price is even high for a PS3 game!!!!!!

Falcon1991 6 March, 2013 @ 3:12 pm   26

Thanks for ME3.

I already completed the game but I’ll be redownloading it for the 3 single player DLCs I missed.

Kezz182 6 March, 2013 @ 3:12 pm   27

Ugh, any idea when Runner2 should be released? Gaijin Games said it would launch on the EU store the same week as US? Really sucks having to wait. ;-; Thanks.

    Fred Dutton 6 March, 2013 @ 3:24 pm

Hey there. I reached out to Alex and Mike at Gaijin Games for an update on Runner 2′s EU release and this is what they had to say:

“The European version of Runner2 is almost upon us!

We thank all of you European PSN gamers for your patience as we work on getting Runner2 to you as fast as we possibly can. We had a few hiccups that were out of our control which lead to a delay when we had been trying to hit a simultaneous worldwide release. Because of those issues, we had to delay the release in your territory to ensure that when you did get it, it was A: rated appropriately, and B: of the finest quality possible.

Thank you for your understanding and for all of your passion for The First Must-Have Game of 2013!”

You shouldn’t have too long to wait – hopefully no later than April.

paptschik 6 March, 2013 @ 3:13 pm   28

Any chance of ME3 DLC (maybe not the new one, but the first two) being on sale?

Oh nevermind… Didn’t read it all :D.

RagingAvatar 6 March, 2013 @ 3:13 pm   30

Jawad, the pictures for the two Ninja Gaiden Sigma items are the wrong way around – could be confusing for people.

vickaz91 6 March, 2013 @ 3:14 pm   31

also any chance of a sale on psabr dlc ???

Great to see you are including PlayStation Mobile now! Any news yet when the service will expand?

Vojvoda_13 6 March, 2013 @ 3:14 pm   33

Hi Jawad
I know this is off topic but some regions still don’t have any skyrim dlc’…. will we ever get them on ps store? it would be nice to have some info….

    Jawad Ashraf 6 March, 2013 @ 3:31 pm

The releases are currently staggered for some regions. Please wait as the DLC rolls out across the regions.

@Bladesy

Sweet, I guess all our screaming wasn’t in vein, took them long enough though.

NoddingPenguin 6 March, 2013 @ 3:14 pm   35

So I can either get Tomb Raider yesterday for £29.99 or wait until Friday and get it for an extra £20 from PSN. Decisions, decisions.

pinkplaybunny 6 March, 2013 @ 3:15 pm   36

Hi

I saw on shopto that they have pre orders on the goty and unltimate edditons of the Fallout 3/New veags games in an essential collection box. Will these be coming digitally to psn like other essential titles or are they too big?

I know its not you guys that set the price but i wish the Mass effect dlc were not so expensive £11.99 for each one and there have been about 4 :-/ Bought the first two but will wait for a sale on omega and citidel in the future.

TheMART 6 March, 2013 @ 3:15 pm   37

PSN+ content for this month is great, but…

We had a pathetic 1 year birthday sale for PSVita, with stuff everybody already gotten for free with PS+ or just wasn’t even worth buying anymore while USA/SCEA got an 18 USD LBP Vita PS+ xmas deal.

On top of that, USA now gets free PSP games for PSVitas 1st birthday, EU got nothing again.

Really SCEE???

Hi Jawad,

I want to buy tomb raider but need to know what this means first:

“@V_Ben: The PSN Version of Tomb Raider uses that horrible DRM that requires you to be online to play it. Jesus S-E, way to ruin that.”

FBZ1501 6 March, 2013 @ 3:16 pm   39

Will have to check out RE2 on the Vita then. Been waiting for it to be fixed for ages.
Any news on when Passing Time is out on PSM? It looks like the closest ill get to playing Sensible Soccer!

monoliet 6 March, 2013 @ 3:17 pm   40

LSB123

price = 1 en jes real store = 57,95 € + no always online needed like psn version .

Nightmare966 6 March, 2013 @ 3:17 pm   41

@kivi95: If you mean the 69.99€, it’s for the bundle with Sigma and Sigma 2 for Vita. The thumbs are swapped :P

mazegami 6 March, 2013 @ 3:17 pm   42

Saw ps2 and got really excited then hugely disappointed :( lovely you’re getting more ps2 gamez onto psn but not my kind of game, shadow hearts & dark cloud games! Although not sure why I’m going on about it, had ps2 set up next to ps3 since I got 3 so doesn’t really affect me :p well done this week anyway although tomb raider? £50? Really!? I know you dont get much say in the price but I pre ordered from amazon, £32. You can get special edition for £50…

LiquidSolid 6 March, 2013 @ 3:17 pm   43

Sly: Thieves in Time prices:
UK: £20 (converts to NZ$40)
Aus: AU$40 (converts to NZ$50)
Actual NZ price: NZ$60

I was actually looking forward to playing this game but now I’m not. Thanks for the RIP OFF, Sony, you’ve just saved me some money.

Should not Germanator be listed in the psvita list?

King_0_Hell 6 March, 2013 @ 3:20 pm   45

dammit, still no Decade Duels for the EU :( I was really hoping it’d be up by now

when will the store update with the new content? its past 3 and still no mass effect 3

MohdSaud 6 March, 2013 @ 3:20 pm   47

Hi,

Do you have a firm release date for BIT.TRIP Runner2?

Thanks

Artemisthemp 6 March, 2013 @ 3:21 pm   48

So 1 month later and still no YouTube, Netflix for Vita or Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 avatar on Danish PSN.

Any release date on them yet?

Dayveee- 6 March, 2013 @ 3:21 pm   49

“Mass Effect 2 – 10% extra off”, is that 10% added to make it 40% off £19.99 or is that 10% off the reduced price?

WELSHDRAGON_74 6 March, 2013 @ 3:23 pm   50
