Defiance – Ark Hunter Chronicles episode 6

Today marks the unveiling of the sixth (and second to last!) episode of the Ark Hunter Chronicles. Called “Vanishing Commodities”, our trio of Ark Hunters set out to find new weapons for their activities.

They find themselves with a rocket launcher that can turn corners and a wicked looking sniper rifle. And while these three may laugh as they play with their newfound gear, they don’t lose sight of the fact that this is a job – and in a world where so many precious resources are vanishing, true friendship might be the scarcest resource of them all.

Defiance, an online open world third person shooter, is headed to a PlayStation 3 near you on 2nd April. To learn more about Defiance, visit or check out earlier blog posts on the PS Blog here.

I am looking forward to this game,,,

but please stop hiding the true pricing mechanics behind the game,, i’d rather know before committing…

As far as i can tell, its £50 for a digital download, and £25 for the season pass. BUT, please can you explain how the in-game purchases will be dealt with, for things like xp boosts etc etc?? If you’re using microtransactions to keep competetive as well as the initial purchases then i’m struggling to find it worth it…

The micro transactions give NO ADVANTAGES over any other player, seriously you can get some rare loot that’s scaled to your level anyway so people can still get better drops from playing the game, a few cosmetic outfits and the like as per normal and the Boosts barely do anything, it’s just for people who want to get a few EGO rounds out of the way, the level system so far doesn’t even have a cap.
