The PlayStation Store Egg Hunt starts today

Blog_EasterEggHunt_EN

Hello everyone. It’s getting dangerously close to that time of year where we all start to count how many chocolate eggs we can eat in one sitting, and then feeling deeply unwell afterwards. So, what better way to cure that feeling than with some great games!

Now as tradition reminds us, you should have to hunt for your treats at this time of year. With that in mind, PlayStation Store is very happy to present our Egg Hunt!

Much like the 12 Deals of Christmas promotion late last year, each of these discounts will be revealed just before they go live and will last for 48 hours only, starting today, Wednesday 27th March. Make sure you keep checking the Blog for information on the next deal!

But that’s not all! At the same time as the Egg Hunt we will also be running our Spring Sale so make sure you head over to the PlayStation Store to grab yourself some bargains. These discounts will start once the store has updated on Wednesday 27th March and will run until 9th April. Enjoy!

[sarcasm] OH MAN, THANK YOU FOR PUTTING ALL THOSE VITA GAMES ON SALE! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! [/sarcasm]

cosmic_uk 27 March, 2013 @ 11:05 am   2

As I just bought a Vita, I was also a little disappointed with the lack of Vita games in the Spring Sale. Hopefully there will be something good in the Easter Egg Hunt.

ITACHI_U________ 27 March, 2013 @ 11:06 am   3

Seriously, only one ps vita game on sale??

The spring sale selection isn’t great, full of badly reviewed games and DLC for badly reviewed games so I’m hoping all the good stuff is in the Easter Egg Hunt. Killzone+inFamous bundle looks like a good deal but I already have inFamous so I’ll pass. Hoping for a sale on Harley Quinn’s Revenge :-D

infernalmonkey1 27 March, 2013 @ 11:09 am   5

Scrolling past all that PS3 stuff to see one single Vita game was hilarious.

Will get Steel Dragon EX though, cheers!

Wooow! One game for Vita! Seriously????

Splutterbug 27 March, 2013 @ 11:11 am   7

oooh so tempted by Persona 2 and 3

Nightmare966 27 March, 2013 @ 11:12 am   8

Hi Chris, great to see another great sale added. I do really hope there’s something for everyone as usual :)

First of all, the Egg haunting sale is available for all or most of Europe, right? Also, if I understand correctly the Egg haunt sales end on the 9th of April too, right?

Will the spring sale get more titles added? I mean, I remember you were aiming for having a sale on Journey by the end of March hopefully so… :P

Thanks for the news as usual Chris, I’ll make sure to check again the Blog on Friday :D

    Jawad Ashraf 27 March, 2013 @ 11:19 am

Chris is unfortunately somewhere he REALLY doesn’t want to be, so I’ll chime in where I can here.

The Egg Hunt will be available across Europe, yessir. There are some cracking offers lined up so definitely keep checking back.

Yes, truly great easter savings: I’m saving a lot by not buying anything.

PixelJunk games and Epic Mickey Something, come on SCEE.

BiosNova 27 March, 2013 @ 11:13 am   10

Do you know the Vita is out?

BeAkErOo 27 March, 2013 @ 11:14 am   11

C’mon Sony. Help us to help you! Give us more Vita!

toxic-inferno 27 March, 2013 @ 11:15 am   12

Thanks Sony! Spring Sale looks fantastic!!

I was SO close to picking up Child of Eden for £8 the other day! Now I can get it for under £4!! Fantastic! As a synaesthete, I’m quite intrigued by this game!

RedSquirrel87 27 March, 2013 @ 11:15 am   13

Only one game for PSVita? What a shame…

ste_the_legend 27 March, 2013 @ 11:16 am   14

It’s not as bad of a sale as people are saying. At least it’s some different games this time.

Dead Rising 2 and Trine 2 for me :D

Huono_peleis 27 March, 2013 @ 11:18 am   15

Crappiest sale ever.

Leylifer 27 March, 2013 @ 11:20 am   16

Does Killzone+Infamous bundle include Killzone’s first game only?

Temujinski 27 March, 2013 @ 11:21 am   17

I had to laugh seeing just one Vita game on sale.

Also, it would be fun to see some decent PSOne and PS2 games on sale that AREN’T Disney games; those have been on sale several times already in the past year.

Otherwise, there’s some decent stuff here, the Persona games and Child of Eden in particular. I do hope there will be more games added to the spring sale though.

BeAkErOo 27 March, 2013 @ 11:21 am   18

I will be buying Driver SF though, as long as the Aussie tax isn’t too high.

chrisy21 27 March, 2013 @ 11:24 am   19

Ugh I really want Killzone but already have infamous:FB. Why always with the bundles I have one I want and have one I already have :/

I’m sure there’s good things to come.

BeAkErOo 27 March, 2013 @ 11:24 am   20

Is there any chance that we can get some Zen Pinball 2 DLC in future sales please or better again with Plus content?

Chunker76 27 March, 2013 @ 11:25 am   21

Snipe Elite V2 – Assassinate The Führer (Not available in Austria, Germany)

Funniest moment of the morning

Thank you

TheMighty_MuMbY 27 March, 2013 @ 11:26 am   22

Urban trials discount, sweet.

Fingers crossed for Journey and unfinished swan discounts. Unfortunately i missed the christmas discount.

Also all the mass effect 3 DLC bundled discount would be perfect.

Also feel I have to stress the lack of Vita offers compared to others. A single game… which that in itself isn’t up to much.

How about price drops for the likes of Blazblue, Shinobido 2, Gungnir, Street Fighter x Tekken, Disgaea 3, Dynasty Warriors, Plants v Zombies, Escape Plan, etc.

What? I know I’m greedy. :D

DarkHeros09 27 March, 2013 @ 11:27 am   24

Jawad can you please see if you can add UMvC3 dlc to the sales???
thank you.

dark_angel69 27 March, 2013 @ 11:28 am   25

That’s a really sweet deal for the 1st Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately I already own Killzone HD and Infamous: Festival of Blood and currently playing Killzone to get that platinum as I wait for my Bioshock. lol. Great buy for those who don’t already have. They both are great games.

Cant wait to see what the next one is

OH, please add God of War 2 HD as one of the Easter Egg Hunts!

To celebrate Ascension, and all that jazz. :P

I was hoping for some extra PSP sales than basically Persona discounts and pirates (wasn’t that discounted already?)

Anyways no vita love, which is sad and strange.

Also not to many mini discounts.

Basically if you have a vita you’re out of luck.

ShivaRpgN 27 March, 2013 @ 11:40 am   28

You people are so terrible with giving sales on Vita games, what the hell is wrong with you? First you totally butcher Christmas deals by totally ignoring the Vita, then you promise you’ll make up for it on Vita’s first anniversary which was a total joke. It had games on sale that have been on sale numerous times and seem to find it difficult to provide games that are more recent and ones that people want. Whilst North America had a Christmas sale, had Vita’s anniversary with 2 consecutive weeks of more recent games and games that people want. And it doesn’t end! They keep having good deals!

I’m tired of you keeping on making excuses as for why you can’t get it done. Vita gets ONE deal for Easter. That’s not only less than what the PS3 gets, but even PSP, PS2, PS1 and Minis (freaking Minis gets better treatment!). Why are you treating Vita consumers like they don’t exist?

Kaspar_K 27 March, 2013 @ 11:40 am   29

Would really like to see a sound shapes discount. :)

I’d like to take advantage of these discounts, but i can’t with infamous Singstar icon/ad in my XMB. So Fred, Jawad, Chris…. maybe you overlooked all my previous posts, but statisticaly it could happen so it’s OK (for now). Could you please finally answer me to things which i can’t logicaly understand?

1. How making Singstar icon optional can negatively affect customers “who appreciate it as is and who take advantage of this free game”?

2. Is there any logical reason why does your company permanently refuse to make Singstar icon optional? Nobody can’t understand that, unless you want to lose customers on purpose.

3. Can somebody from SCEE finally understand that we only want one simple harmless option? We demand freedom of choice. Without freedom of choice we’re going towards dictatorship.

Please, help us to return our confidence to your company. Thanks.

MordecaiHunter 27 March, 2013 @ 11:44 am   31

I See Sony still doing there best to make the vita more off a success
.smh….

on a better note there are some good deals on the ps3 front ill pick up Realms of Ancient War at that price

Hi Jawad, sorry for off topic but can you check what is going on with Bioshock Infinite Season Pass? I reedmed the code and everytime I try to download this Season Pass nothing happens. :( Please help thank you.

Gutted. Can’t deny its a great sale, but the only game i’ve waiting to go on sale for months finally has but in a double pack with a game I already own :(

Will we ever get Killzone HD on its own in a sale?

:(

meteors77 27 March, 2013 @ 11:46 am   34

Can we please have the Colony Wars games for PSOne put onto the store? I’d love to play them on again, especially on my Vita. There are far too few spaceship battle games, please make it happen!

ShivaRpgN 27 March, 2013 @ 11:48 am   35

When will we ever get deals on Sine Mora, Silent Hill Book of Memories, Assassin’s Creed Liberation, Orgarhythm, Little King’s Story, Disgaea 3, Dynasty Warriors Next, Retro City Rampage, Let’s Fish Hooked On and more among others?

And I don’t mean weak deals to shut people up, but at least 40% discount! I’m losing so much patience as a Vita owner. You’re so behind with satisfying those consumers.

Aces73High 27 March, 2013 @ 11:49 am   36

I love my Vita, but I have to chime in and say that one Vita game on sale is pretty bad form.

Also, I take it there are no new Vita games when the store updates today? The US blog gets ‘The Drop’ every single Monday without fail, detailing every new game, demo and sale that’ll be included in the following days US store update. Us EU gamers, we have to trawl through every article, scrapping for any tiny tidbits of news. Take Machinarium for example. It was announced a week or two back for the US, and launched yesterday. And us? Not a single paragraph of sentence anywhere!!?? I spoke to two of the guys at Amanita Design (the studio behind Machinarium), and even they have no idea when it will hit Europe. Poor show EU Blog. Poor show.

    Fred Dutton 27 March, 2013 @ 12:00 pm

Yes, there are a number of Vita titles out today. We have a regular post at 3pm every Wednesday detailing every single new release for the week. We’d like to bring it to you earlier in the week but it’s just not possible. The US only has a couple of territories – and one language – to manage whereas SCEE has a huge number of different countries to organise, and the post has to appear in a number of different languages. Duly, the process of putting the information together takes a little longer.

Machinarium is coming soon to PS Vita, but a release date hasn’t yet been finalised. When it has, we’ll let you know immediately.

DiscworldDeath 27 March, 2013 @ 11:50 am   37

Generations of Chaos doesn’t link to the right store page, because the first half of the name is missing. Here is the actual link: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-il/cid=EP4015-NPEH00106_00-AEDISECLIPSE0000

PIREDERAS 27 March, 2013 @ 11:50 am   38

The Easter Egg Hunt promotion is welcome, although the first offer (Killzone HD & Infamous: Festival of Blood) doesn’t appeal to me. Hope the future offers will be better. And please, if possible, some PS Vita offers in the Easter Egg Hunt!

Regarding the Full Spring Sale, not much for me. Trine 2 is a very good deal, and I’ ll consider Child of Eden and Rayman 3 HD, too.

Come on people, this sale isn’t that bad. There are good enough prices to tempt me for games that I’d otherwise ignore as Persona 3, Child of Eden, Driver and Realms of Ancient War.

Not sure though if I will buy any of those. Haven’t even started P4G yet, CoE isn’t really my kind of game and the reviews for RoAW seem … less favorable.

@Chris @Jawad
I guess we won’t see the first easter egg in Germany then?
Killzone HD was in our store once, was taken back then and never came back. Any reason for that?

    Jawad Ashraf 27 March, 2013 @ 11:56 am

You will see it in Germany :D The status of Killzone HD has changed, so now it’s available to our German audience.

Nightmare966 27 March, 2013 @ 11:51 am   40

@Golwar: Killzone HD is not on the spanish Store neither, just looked for it before to see the normal price. I guess this happened for everyone.

link1983 27 March, 2013 @ 12:00 pm   41

This is the best sale I have seen since Christmas 2010. I have Pixeljunk 4am (I reviewed it) but none of the others so Pixel Junk Shooter 1 and 2 is definitely on my list. I am gonna say goodbye to my disc copy of Child of Eden and hello digital. I just can’t wait to have the required funds for all of this goodness :D Many thanks Chris

That’s an awful selection… That’s the FULL spring sales list?
Vita didn’t get any love and all JRPGs are PSP ones.
Let’s hope something nice will come up on easter eggs.

MASPALOMAZ 27 March, 2013 @ 12:05 pm   43

this vita spam in the comments is getting ridiculous, 90% here dont even have a vita and dont care for it, is this always the same person spamming with multiple accounts?

@ blog team please do something about it, or make a seperate VITA blog i do not even visit this blog anymore because of the constant vita spam. The vita will be discontinued anyways so please STOP SPAMMING VITA NEWS and vita blog comments, kindly delete those users or remove their access to comment.

@Topic.. Some good games in the offer, thanks. Also looking forward to the next days with more offers :)

Defiance pre order ?

TheMighty_MuMbY 27 March, 2013 @ 12:10 pm   46

@chris @jawad

Any info if journey/ unfinished swan will be in the sale? or mass effect dlc?

Will there be any visual clues for the egg hunt sale when the store updates like the christmas sale.

Will anymore be added to the spring sale (not egg hunt)?

Thanks,
have a nice day.

    Jawad Ashraf 27 March, 2013 @ 12:23 pm

Those two titles won’t feature in this sale.

There won’t be clues like Christmas – I’m sure you all found that too easy :D

uberkakis 27 March, 2013 @ 12:11 pm   47

Child of Eden discount!

“–and the people danced in the street…”

uberkakis 27 March, 2013 @ 12:12 pm   48

Oh, and I don’t suppose Minerva’s Den (Bioshock 2 DLC) will go on sale? Perfect time to do so, with Infinite coming out an’ all…

Please!

monoliet 27 March, 2013 @ 12:14 pm   49

MASPALOMAZ ( 41)

i hate price policy on psn from some publishers !!!! digital need to be les expensif .

Stonesthrow 27 March, 2013 @ 12:17 pm   50

I’d like to see a good deal on the ps2 GTA’s, seeing how they’re not HD remasters and we probably can’t use all this on ps4.

Valis1-cz 27 March, 2013 @ 12:21 pm   51

Any chance to get on sale Wipeout HD/Fury, Journey, Unfinshed Swan?

MASPALOMAZ

What are you saying? I have Vita and that sales are horrible for Vita users. This is playstation blog, not PS3 blog.

And you dare to ask administrators to delete users talking about Vita and their frustrations about Sony’s policy?

I tell you in spanish: ¿De qué vas?

Jamesyp00 27 March, 2013 @ 12:24 pm   53

No chance of Killzone HD by itself? Iv’e really wanted it but iv’ already bought and 100% I:FoB

Yeah, KZ HD on its own please, i’m not asking, i’m literally on my knees begging.

infernalmonkey1 27 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   55

Haha oh wow, MASPALOMAZ. Did you seriously just ask the blog team to stop posting news about video games? And for people to stop commenting about them? Do you even know where you are? Really. Come on now.

Could you please offer a discount on Gensan for PSP?

Pretty please!!

And make Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross available in Europe please.
And Closure.

jay_d_89 27 March, 2013 @ 12:33 pm   57

Hi, I bought Persona 3 (PSP) earlier this morning for £23.99. Just missed the sale. Is there anything you can do? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maspalomaz

I own a vita and have a right to complain all I want, like jnanaki said this is PlayStation blog and not ps3 blog.

Vita being discontinued? Right… Someone didn’t see the ps4 reveal and the connectivity features. Vita has an enough big library already to get better amount of discounts than this offer.

silmorat1 27 March, 2013 @ 12:41 pm   59

Chris, I too would be exstatic if you could get some ps plus discount on some zen pinball tables. They definately do the best tables and trying to get some of my pals to part with their cash on full tables would go down brilliantly. Thanks Steve

Grimmy11 27 March, 2013 @ 12:43 pm   60

I’m interested in getting Dead Rising 2 :Off the Record but the price for that one doesn’t seem to have updated, It’s up at £10.99 not £5.99. All the other prices seem to have updated though :s

D14m0nd88 27 March, 2013 @ 12:43 pm   61

Like comment 20, It would be great to have a discount on old Zen Pinball 2 tables. You already gave us Marvel Pinball, but that’s just 4 tables. I’d buy more with a discount!

hitman_stephen 27 March, 2013 @ 12:47 pm   62

naww not more PSP rpg’s, dont you guys have enough of my money as it is :( well will have to sacrifice the gf’s easter egg money

superpatchy66 27 March, 2013 @ 12:51 pm   63

Maspalomaz #41

Not sure why you do not like Vita owners expressing our dislike of the Vita ‘sales’.

Every single Vita sale is dreadful.

Every single general sale includes a small or zero amount of Vita games.

I own a Vita and have every right to express my disappointment.
The Sony staff know that the Vita sales are poor, but they are in an awkward situation.

The only spam is that ridiculous singstar nonsense. Who seriously cares if an icon is displayed? Ignore it and move on.

I would love to see Disgaea 3 for the Vita added to the sale, would be a worthwhile addition as the shops tend not to stock it (so people cant complain it is cheaper elsewhere) and digital version at its current price point is a bit to high for my pocket.

CoolRichy007UK 27 March, 2013 @ 12:58 pm   65

woooo Jawad Ashraf its my birthday next week and im gonna blow £100 on ps home stuff :D it keeps getting better each week yes i know im abit off topic but i dont care :D

wooooo

Long time since I’ve posted hope you guys can answer my question. Since there is a lot on sale for PS3, PSP and PS1, wheres the vita?

Some titles I think should go on sale – EDF 2077, I’m really looking forward to playing this eventually, but at £34.99 no way.

Doriko – again £11.99 is a bit too steep £5 or £6 I would buy in an instant.

Orgtarhyhmn – Again too steep.

Atelier Totori – unlikely as its just released but £34.99 is too steep for a port that’s been out for two year nearly, if it was more like £19.99 even £24.99 its more of an attractive purchase

These are some of the Vita I would love to see on sale or easter hunt, please make this happen, especially edf, that is due for sale!

Keep up the great work though!

hayzink 27 March, 2013 @ 1:07 pm   67

Looking forward to seeing what The deals are.

Tempted by driver San Francisco need to look at some vids of it and ill decide also think ill buy urban freestyle for vita.

Fingers crossed guys there could be vita games in the revelling deals

emadplus 27 March, 2013 @ 1:10 pm   68

hello

i see in the store Tales of Grace f !!! nice :)

Aces73High 27 March, 2013 @ 1:17 pm   69

Thanks so much for the reply Fred, it’s much appreciated. I can now really see where you’re coming from, so please allow me to apologise for my mini-rant..!!

Looking forward to Machinarium on my Vita.

Tranquil-Fury 27 March, 2013 @ 1:17 pm   70

I am sure we was told that The Unfinnished Swan would appear in a sale sometime in March. I would have picked it up in the 12 deals of xmas sale but it was a part of a bundle with Journey that i already owned.

Killzone HD is another game i would get if it was on sale aloneas i already own InFamous: FoB.

I am sure most people would prefer games to be discounted individually as already owning a game in a bundle tends to negate any savings offered.

lukeroux 27 March, 2013 @ 1:18 pm   71

Guys wich one should I get for my Vita Persona 3 or Trails in the sky?

mellan_Konsten 27 March, 2013 @ 1:26 pm   72

Will you add some vita games to the list?

Jawad Ashraf 27 March, 2013 @ 1:27 pm   73

Guys, please note the sale has not gone live just yet so please hold on a bit more as the updates roles out.

ppahtde 27 March, 2013 @ 1:28 pm   74

Common’ guys ! Is Sony really serious ?
How can you write that ?

Snipe Elite V2 – Assassinate The Führer (Not available in Austria, Germany)

It is a shame !!!!
I know that all that are video games, but you cannot express like that. It is not politically correct, especially coming from Sony a firm created in 1945.
Please change that sentance, now.

rezamore23 27 March, 2013 @ 1:32 pm   75

Finally.. Persona! Thanks for the BIG SURPRISE, Mr. Fred.. Vielen Dank! XD

Hi there,

Now that Dead or Alive 5+ is on the store with cross buy DLC, my previously purchased Swimsuit Pack is showing up as not purchased (but is still in my download list) so I can’t download the DoA5+ equivalent DLC without paying for it. Please help!

I had previously purchased the Swimsuit Pack for the PS3 version of DoA5

I had previously purchased the Swimsuit Pack DLC for the PS3 version of DoA5.

Egg-xcellent!!! :D Er Sorry ;)

Ah relief, so the “full list” is not so complete yet?

CoolRichy007UK 27 March, 2013 @ 1:40 pm   81

@Stonesthrow

ps3 games & psn games will work on ps4 dont worry ok :)
————————————————————–

oh and Jawad Ashraf where is THE WARRIORS ps2 game it was on ps store but now gone does it need to be fixed or something i wanna get that game asap whats the delay when will it be added & will dr who ever get a girl lol

mau5trapy 27 March, 2013 @ 1:48 pm   82

any Battlefield 3 DLC’s or PREMIUM in this sale? :>

Catkiller1 27 March, 2013 @ 1:49 pm   83

I will purchase the Learning with the Poo Yoos episodes for the kids and Expendables 2 for myself.

Not really interested in the rest, as the Full PS3 titles can be bought for near or better than the prices within the sale elsewhere.

Killzone HD separate discount would have been nice and i’ve been pestering for Dragons Lair 2 for ages, so hopefully that soon?

runtime 27 March, 2013 @ 1:50 pm   84

Hi Jawad, please can you look into getting “Jean d’Arc” critically-acclaimed PSP RPG published by Sony(!) on the UK/Europe PSN store? Thanks.

DieFliedermouse 27 March, 2013 @ 1:55 pm   85

Child of Eden for me! Time to dust off my Move.

Alestes 27 March, 2013 @ 1:57 pm   86

I hope Journey and Okami HD will be on sale during this easter hunt thingy.

GametimeUK 27 March, 2013 @ 1:58 pm   87

I loved Dead Rising 2. Off The Record for £6 seems like a great price. There was no way I was ever paying full price for that game as it seems more like a DLC pack. I don’t know if I will have time to play it thanks to PS+ providing me with Okami HD :-)

supersmith2500 27 March, 2013 @ 2:03 pm   88

Not bad sale. But is there going to be more Vita games coming in the sale or just the one? Also we need more decent PSone games for the sale not shovelware/Disney ones.

ippogrifo 27 March, 2013 @ 2:03 pm   89

Nice sale! I’m particularly happy of the discounts on the JRPGs for PSP! Looking forward to see what the next Easter Egg Hunt offers are ;)

supersmith2500 27 March, 2013 @ 2:04 pm   90

@Alestes:
Okami HD is free for Plus members next week so it’s pointless having it in the sale mate.

bidbaldwolf86 27 March, 2013 @ 2:04 pm   91

@CoolRichy007UK

You might want to take back that statement and have a look into the PS4 first. Sony have already confirmed that PSN purchases will not work natively on the console so no you won’t be able to redownload your digital purchases. That may change in the future who knows.

Here’s the quote from Shuhei Yoshida

“No,” Yoshida said, when asked about any current-gen PSN game being natively supported on the PS4. “Unless, somehow, some games work on emulation. The easiest thing technically would be to make PS1 games work on PS4 through emulation. But we aren’t talking about our emulation plans as yet. There are two ways: emulation or cloud service. But native support, no, sorry. We could do so if we choose to. We know who purchased what as a record. But we are working on service plans, and we haven’t decided.”

Voodoo341 27 March, 2013 @ 2:11 pm   92

Pointless way to run a sale. Utterly useless.

Aces73High 27 March, 2013 @ 2:17 pm   93

Hang on a sec Jawad, a number of Vita titles you say? I’ve just had a look on the store, and apart from DoA+, all I can see is some new DLC for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and Pinball Arcade. Oh and an Everybody’s Golf bundle (which went live last week individually – from which I bought Kat).

So am I missing something? Or is that it? Sorry to be a pain.

    Fred Dutton 27 March, 2013 @ 2:21 pm

New PS Vita titles out this week: Dead or Alive 5+, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Foosball 2012.

Why is asking me for my passwords to download demo’s now?

FBZ1501 27 March, 2013 @ 2:20 pm   95

Metal Slugg XX psp
Galaga DX

In a sale please!
And Killzone HD on its own!

Chaosprower 27 March, 2013 @ 2:23 pm   96

As a Vita user, I’m dissapointed.

XnoobsquadX 27 March, 2013 @ 2:25 pm   97

The full content list seems a bit [CENSORED] for the vita owners out there. Only 1 Vita game and a couple of psp,ps1. now i dont really get why sony is wondering why they do so badly in the eu. Pricing for one is utter balls. marketing.. well there barely is any and if there is its u usually see ppl flying, running with a vita in theyr hand(rly this is how u play games outside?). And now for the so called sales…. last christmas u did it right. Now not so much.
maybe there is a suprise in the easter sale for us vita owners though i wont count on it. Done with my ranting here. and good luck to u jawad.

Aces73High 27 March, 2013 @ 2:27 pm   98

Foosball 2012? Hasn’t that been out for ages?

Already bought the following super cheap last year:

PixelJunk™ Monsters
PixelJunk™ Eden
PixelJunk™ Shooter
PixelJunk™ Racers 2nd Lap.

Hopefully can get Shooter 2 and 4am.

VirusPT 27 March, 2013 @ 2:37 pm   100

Any chance Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite or Hitman Absolution will be on this sale?

    Fred Dutton 27 March, 2013 @ 2:40 pm

Well, Hitman was in our Christmas sale, and BioShock only came out yesterday, so don’t expect discounts any time soon on that one. That leaves Tomb Raider. You’ll have to just wait and see…

hayzink 27 March, 2013 @ 2:38 pm   101

There’s 50%,off doodle god for plus members on vita store

HEC007 27 March, 2013 @ 2:42 pm   102

@ Chris / Jawad:

After WHOLE week of totally ignoring the issue / question – can either of you finally clarify the situation with missing Everybody’s Golf bundle for Vita please??

Thank you!

Voodoo341 27 March, 2013 @ 2:52 pm   103

Unfinished swan isn’t in this sale?

HEC007 27 March, 2013 @ 2:53 pm   104

OK – now the bundle have finally appeared after search but (at least by the description) it does not include the additional costumes for Erika and Gloria …

Can anyone confirm that???

BloodMountain88 27 March, 2013 @ 2:59 pm   105

Wasn’t The Unfinished Swan meant to be have been on sale by the end of this month?

Marrsterhausen 27 March, 2013 @ 2:59 pm   106

@Fred/Chris/Jawad

“The US only has a couple of territories – and one language – to manage whereas SCEE has a huge number of different countries to organise, and the post has to appear in a number of different languages. Duly, the process of putting the information together takes a little longer.”

This is all true but Microsoft can manage to release globally every week (including Europe) & with much more content, why can’t this happen here too? Can you answer this? I really hope with PS4 SONY can sort out their fractured territories & can release content globally, weekly & simultaneously like other companies do (Steam, Nintendo, Microsoft). Don’t see this as an impertinent question, I’m just genuinely interested why SONY have a release schedule like they do.

GrViper 27 March, 2013 @ 3:21 pm   107

Disney Classics on sale and packed in mini bundles. Desperate to sell them, huh? Here’s a hint: you wouldn’t need such drastic measures with actual classics.

mxk1000 27 March, 2013 @ 3:24 pm   108

Nice big list but only 1 Vita Game??
And why no Pixel Junk monsters for the PSP, Their other titles are listed?

aKaSoG 27 March, 2013 @ 3:34 pm   109

Hey Chris,

I Just got Vita on saterday, and was planning on getting Trials for it :D.

Is Wrecked revenge revisted still not available in South Africa?
I see it doesnt mention us, so maybe its a mistake on store?

Ive really wanted this game, and was turned away when it came out as it wasnt available in ZA, and im a really big old fan of MASHED!.

Spinebuster69 27 March, 2013 @ 3:37 pm   110

Can we expect a sale for the 3 months subscription of PS+ like in the Christmas deal ?

nakano1987 27 March, 2013 @ 3:44 pm   111

Probably nothing from this sale for me either unless something interesting shows up. Wrecked seemed interesting as it has 4-player local multiplayer. However, too little tracks, day-1-dlc and no bot support is “no thanks”. They should have patched it. I will still try the demo, but I read it’s buggy. Maybe Mashed: Fully Loaded PS2 classic would be better.

Jamesyp00 27 March, 2013 @ 3:59 pm   112

These titles only show up when you search for them individually, the egg hunt section just shows the killzone + I:FoB Deal, will these get there own section soon? It’s annoying having to hunt down every title.

DoYouLikeMyID 27 March, 2013 @ 4:21 pm   114

*Looks at list of games*

“Hmm… a lot of PS3 games, but none that really interest me… That’s too bad… Let’s look at the Vita games! Hmm… There’s only one title, and it’s not that huge of a discount, but it’s actually a game I want, so I guess that’s okay… What’s that? It’s not available in Denmark?”

I hope the Egg Hunt sales will be better. The first two items on sale look good, but I already have InFamous: Festival of Blood (Can’t wait for Second Son, btw), so I won’t be getting it.

Let’s wait and see

keywarrior17 27 March, 2013 @ 4:22 pm   115

im also complaining about the lack of vita games. no wonder the console is struggling. probably just as well because i need to use my lives savings just to get a bigger memory card. any chance on lego batman/lord of the rings vita on sale?

Jamesyp00 27 March, 2013 @ 4:28 pm   116

Oop, Spoke to soon, Stores finally caught up with itself and the sale sections there, cheers!

ClydeShebang 27 March, 2013 @ 4:40 pm   117

PS3 and PSN are certainly like fine wine, they’ve gotten a lot better over the years. I would love for the final fantasy xiii-2 dlc to get a little discount (I think I missed them once before). Always seem to stay 20p short from the lightning dlc after other purchases.

DiscworldDeath 27 March, 2013 @ 4:44 pm   118

Could you just tell us if any more Vita/PSP games will go on sale as the “Easter Eggs” during this period?

Izorpo 27 March, 2013 @ 4:46 pm   119

thank you for putting Realms of Ancient War on sale – however is it possible to actually add the game to basket and not just unlock key? I had downloaded the demo on release but I don’t keep demos on my hdd after trying them. I had to manually search to get the game err trial

sky_fab 27 March, 2013 @ 5:09 pm   120

Hello Guys!

Make a special price for Dishonored.
Long time wanting to buy the game, but now it costs 26.99, a bit expensive.

Thanks!

Voodoo341 27 March, 2013 @ 5:35 pm   121

Wow… Don’t answer the question as to why Chris promised Unfinished Swan would be on sale in March and actually isn’t. Just delete the comments and run and hide.

rutea7 27 March, 2013 @ 5:56 pm   122

Discounts for ragnarok odyssey, ni no kuni or one of the atelier titles would b nice.

paptschik 27 March, 2013 @ 5:57 pm   123

Persona 3 is tempting..but I still kinda want the PS2 classic version. Is there any chance we’ll get that at any point, like, at all?

Voodoo341 27 March, 2013 @ 6:24 pm   124

Can we get a reason why Unfinished Swan isn’t included as promised?

KylieDog 27 March, 2013 @ 6:35 pm   125

Please no bundle offers in easter egg hunt. If we own one game already it makes the deal sour, like I own the Infamous game already, would rather a cheaper stand-alone Killzone HD.

Did you not learn from the Journey/Unfinished Swan complaints in the xmas sale?

sammy9005 27 March, 2013 @ 6:53 pm   126

please will you put the metal gear solid ps one classic on sale i have been wanting to buy it for a long time now but £7.99 is a LOT of money especially for a ps one game please sony and also will you please put some more ps vita games on sale next week thanks!

sammy9005 27 March, 2013 @ 6:57 pm   127

i also don’t care how much you reduce the metal gear solid ps one classic i will still buy it for my vita as long as you have reduced the price!

aaron101 27 March, 2013 @ 7:00 pm   128

im sold already was hoping for a discount on killzone so that and INfamous “mini” bought just dont know when i shall have time for all these games at the minute have netal gear rising to finish and the walking dead 3ds games and wiiu too busy days ahead :) and the ps+ games next week too thanks for the sleepless nights

Terarded 27 March, 2013 @ 7:42 pm   129

i buy dead island on disc, and the store puts it on sale for 7%5 less of what i paid. i buy dead rising 2 and the store puts it down to half of what i paid, not to mention that every playstation plus game this year i literally had bought an hour before announced.

seriously do you guys track my ebay account? haha

i agree with that other guy! we should get a gta san andreas deal. id very much like to get it for the ps3 so i dont have to plug my ps2 in anymore but im not going to pay more than i paid for the original version if theres no trophies (or hd remaster)

and im very glad to hear about the egg hunt! if it starts today why hasnt the game been mentioned?

minimur12 27 March, 2013 @ 8:03 pm   130

I’m dissapointed in you SCEE.
you have more games on sale for the PS1 than the Vita

that’s DISGUSTING

rekuhs 27 March, 2013 @ 8:35 pm   131

What’s with all the bundles lately? How about simply letting people purchase a single game on sale.

Makes it kinda hard to join in on the sale when you either don’t want one of the games or you already have one.

Throwing two random games together doesn’t make a lot of sense.

HexElf 27 March, 2013 @ 8:47 pm   132

So the Killzone 1 HD + inFamous Festival of Blood bundle is cheaper than buying Killzone 1 HD separately? I don’t want inFamous FoB, can’t I just gift it or something? If I have it I will only feel obligated to play the damn thing xD

silmorat1 27 March, 2013 @ 9:11 pm   133

@hexelf play infamous fob its well good

malgani08 27 March, 2013 @ 9:32 pm   134

Any plans for the first Mass Effect in these sale? It would be great!

ptargino 27 March, 2013 @ 11:17 pm   135

Why is Trine 2 the only PS3 title not having an additional 10% off for Plus subscribers?

JadoreSox 27 March, 2013 @ 11:48 pm   136

A Metal Gear themed sale would be great, particular Peace Walker(PSP) and MGS1(PS1 Classic) which are overpriced atm.

Kamikaze-sama 28 March, 2013 @ 12:02 am   137

seriously a little disappointed egg hunt ps3 contents except killzone+infamous:fob bundle.. i was expecting more like one piece pirate warriors like 12 deals or street fighter IV arcade edition why no fighting games in it?

chary9 28 March, 2013 @ 5:21 am   138

Can the personas be played on vita? They are classified under PSP category but I think vita can play all PSP games?

DestructorSVK 28 March, 2013 @ 5:25 am   139

Any chance to get Red Dead Redemption or Midnight Club LA ?

VitaFan123 28 March, 2013 @ 7:19 am   140

It’s VERY disappointing that only one PS Vita game’s on sale while there are gazillions of PS3 titles. Hopefully, the egg hunt will contain Vita games mostly and not PS3 games. If I had a PS3 then I would really take advantage of these offers. Hope I win the God of War Ascension PS3 bundle!

Chr1zzly 28 March, 2013 @ 8:34 am   141

I though wow an easter sale, hopefully it will include Journey. Really sad to read it will not be in this sale. Will buy Killzone HD though. KZ2 and 3 were great and I’m looking forward to 4 :) Too bad you can’t wear the Hellghast edition helmet.

Chr1zzly 28 March, 2013 @ 8:42 am   142

No Journey discount, but instead we get a Disney Princess Enchanted Journey! It must be better, it’s enchanted!

DiscworldDeath 28 March, 2013 @ 10:27 am   143

I can’t find Generations of Chaos on the store, just Pandora’s Reflection. Does it mean it’s not available where I live (Israel)? If so, shouldn’t it state so on the above list, or is the store in need of fixing it?

dogwalker4000 28 March, 2013 @ 11:08 am   144

@ chary9

As far as I could tell all the Persona’s are downloadable from the Vita store so are playable. 1st one for sure because I got it last night :)

HadesHell 28 March, 2013 @ 11:24 am   145

Hi Chris / Jawad,

The Generations of Chaos for PSP isn´t at that price, still have a price TAG of €10,99, can check it please?

sephaien 28 March, 2013 @ 11:32 am   146

AHAHAHAHA Only 1 Vita game? are you joking? people complain about PSN EU not doing the sales PSN NA did, now you have a chance to make up and you have only 1 game for vita? i know its just the beginning but come on. give all psp games %50 sale and give at least %50 sale to all vita games. that is how you compete with other companies. please start pay attention to what PSN NA does and just copy it here.

I’m hugely disappointed in you PSEU.

AstereoID 28 March, 2013 @ 11:46 am   147

Hi to all! Just logged in to say BIG THX for including “Trails in the Sky” to this sale! The regular price always was a lil to expensive, so i waited…and finally bought it yesterday for ~13€. Thx!

On the other side, im only a vita owner, no ps3, so during the last x-mas season i too was frustrated cause of the lack of vita love.

But in my opinion this really changed, especially when you are using PS Plus! Really Great Games you added to the IGC the last 2-3 Months for us vita owners, also the Vita sale had some nice offers, and now this classic psp jrpgs…great!
Keep up the good work! I have more then enough to play on my vita atm, but would still snap Castlevania SOTN(<-hint! hint! ;-) ) if it would show up in some later "sale", 10€ for it is a lil too much(same as it was with trails before this sale)
THX!

Hello! I can’t find Backbreaker vengeance on the hungarian store, but the list above didn’t mention that it will not be available for us! Is is some misunderstanding? Could you solve this problem? Thanks!

Will the black ops 2 dlc or seasons pass be on sale?

Dermado 28 March, 2013 @ 9:27 pm   150

So to clarify, the egg deals arent “hidden” anywhere on the store, they simply havent been released or clarified here?
And none of the items in either sale will be on PS+ in the near (shall we agree 4 months is reasonable) future?…right?
Dont ignore this -.-

Killzone+FOB sale is very meh tbh, if it was the trilogy+I1+2+FOB thatd be a reasonable price =\.

“Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Was €29.99/£14.99, now €14.99/£11.99
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers”

PS+ discount not showing up?

Dermado 28 March, 2013 @ 9:52 pm   152

Fred, kindly stop making excuses.
If SCEE cared about customers they would have people working hard to bring things to different languages quickly, releasing each the minute they were proof read.
As with games being released over here months after America this is simply not the case, we have to wait for some random obscure country that will complain about having to wait anyway.
This combined with the shockingly overpriced games and lack of feedback (email and phone staff too, they also suck) is just a few of the reasons why everyone hates SCEE -.-.
Dont bother lying or trying to spin propaganda as a reply, but then you ignore remotley difficult posts anyway -.-

Bad temporary prices on already overpriced and bad games=/= a sale
(may double post \o/?)

I don’t suppose that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection PS3 Version will be going on this special sale? I’m planning on getting it soon in preperation for MGSV and I’d hit myself hard if it ends up on sale after I get it..

>Will the black ops 2 dlc or seasons pass be on sale?

there was a sale last year when the first two packs were out you could get each with 50% off. i dont think they ever put the season pass on sale, so its cheaper to buy the map packs seperately when they are on sale. probably it will happen later like in june, july or even later.

I would appreciate a Call of Duty sale it would be nice to get mw2 and black ops 1 on Harddisc if prices are good.

Hey Chris or jawad is there any chance of seeing hyper dimension neptunia mk 2 on sale soon since the third title came out last week and mk2 has been on the store since august. Seriously the only thing stopping me from buying it is the 40 pound price tag.

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 12:37 pm   157

@Chehansen88

Going on the sale structure of the Xmas sale (same structure as this “egg hunt” sale by all counts) then the next offer will go live at 00:01 tonight with the last item [Killzone/InFamous:FoB bundle] leaving at 23:59 tonight :-)

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:01 pm   158

@Chris Please bare with me here:

I cannot really see the whole point behind this “Egg Hunt” sale or the “12 Deals Of Xmas” sale.

I know you come with “But it’s fun” spiel but it really isn’t fun in the slightest.

From a customer standpoint we have to check in here [the blog] or the store every 2 days for the next, however many days this sale goes on for. Then if we spot something we like we have to top up our wallets.
Now for me that involves a trip into town/GAME for a top up voucher as I avoid sticking card details on the internet where ever possible.

Deals being live for 48 hours = many people missing deals and causing resentment.

We are not kids. this “Egg Hunt” is NOT fun.
Just tell us ALL the sale items upfront, have them live for 48 hours if you really want to but why you do this is beyond me. Surely from a business standpoint it makes sense to have all your sale items up for the longest possible time period so more customers can take advantage of these great offers.

cont…

^^ continued from above ^^

Why lay a sale out like this?

Can you please explain how it benefits us [the consumer] or you [the retailer] because it’s loose loose you and us from where I’m sitting.

Please please please do not ignore this as I really do want to know how this kind of sale structure:
a) makes you more money than a regular sale would?
b) benefits us, the consumer in ANY way, shape or form?

sammy9005 29 March, 2013 @ 5:04 pm   160

sony can i ask but do you read the comments YOU STILL HAVEN’T ADDED THE METAL GEAR SOLID PS ONE CLASSIC WHICH IS HIGHLY OVERPRICED IT COSTS £7.99 OR ANY PS VITA GAMES!!! please sony i don’t mean to be rude but for a ps1 classic £7.99 is a hell of a lot of money as the other ps1 classics are only about £3.50

BaBy-_-D3aN0 29 March, 2013 @ 5:16 pm   161

Anyone still checking this post? I know the PS+ discount isn’t a huge deal, but if it’s advertised for Ghost Recon then I expect it to be available. Any response would be appreciated as I won’t be purchasing until I know whether it’s a mistake on the blog post or a mistake on the store.
Thanks.

One Vita game on sale? That’s… disappointing. I brought a Vita three weeks ago and I am loving although I have no Vita games at the moment. They are just expensive, and the number one reason I bought my Vita (Persona 4 Golden) is evading me in every store. I just can’t find a physical copy of it.

However, the price drop on P3P was very welcome. Although I already I had the game physical format… (no discounts for already acquired games is pretty bad).
