Hello everyone. It’s getting dangerously close to that time of year where we all start to count how many chocolate eggs we can eat in one sitting, and then feeling deeply unwell afterwards. So, what better way to cure that feeling than with some great games!

Now as tradition reminds us, you should have to hunt for your treats at this time of year. With that in mind, PlayStation Store is very happy to present our Egg Hunt!

Much like the 12 Deals of Christmas promotion late last year, each of these discounts will be revealed just before they go live and will last for 48 hours only, starting today, Wednesday 27th March. Make sure you keep checking the Blog for information on the next deal!

But that’s not all! At the same time as the Egg Hunt we will also be running our Spring Sale so make sure you head over to the PlayStation Store to grab yourself some bargains. These discounts will start once the store has updated on Wednesday 27th March and will run until 9th April. Enjoy!

Check back regularly to find out what the next deal will be!

Chris, two things:

1. Will any Vita/PSP games go on Egg Hunt?

2. Why aren’t any of Sting studio’s games available in the PS store? USA has them.
For reference, I’m talking about Yggdra Union, Riviera, Knights in the Nightmare.
As a J-rpg and S-rpg fan, their lack is very noticeable.

Wow. Eidos are great

MasenkoHa 29 March, 2013 @ 12:05 pm   3

I don’t suppose that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection PS3 Version will be going on this special sale? I’m planning on getting it soon in preperation for MGSV and I’d hit myself hard if it ends up on sale after I get it..

@Chris

Why are the 3 Bioshock Infinite DLCs only free for UK Plus subscribers?
They are at least completely missing in the german store.

Take 2 expressed clearly that they intended to share those DLCs with everyone, not just the UK.

DiscworldDeath 29 March, 2013 @ 12:10 pm   5

Also, I’m disappointed in the customer service.

I go to the PS online store, it says “Lumines: Electronic Symphony” Trial – Purchased; Full Version – Purchased.

This is me grabbing it when it was free for PS+ members.
BUT, last week I turned on the game, and it says it’s trial version, and to “unlock the full version”, I need to pay the full price of the game, which is of course only possible from my Vita since the online store registers it as purchased.

Now, I’m sure this is not an issue only I am affected from, if we got something as a PS+ member then it should be available for us while we are PS+ members, right? Then the Lumines for Vita needs looking into, as even if you had added the game to your download list before, or even installed it, if you didn’t unlock the full game while it was on the IGC, then you’re stuck with the trial version.

DiscworldDeath 29 March, 2013 @ 12:10 pm   6

(Part 2, went over-length)

And I’d rather not get into the run-around you get whenever you try to discuss anything with the customer support team via email and the lack of a centralized location to get support but it being fragmented by country, when my country is just going to forward things elsewhere and then a lack of an actual response and increased handling times all around – and the unwillingness of CS UK to assist since I don’t live in the UK.
Terribly frustrating and disappointing, when you need assistance, to be met with so many roadblocks :-/

Chehansen88 29 March, 2013 @ 12:14 pm   7

when can i buy Tomb Raider ? or when does the store updtate so i can buy it? :)

Here’s a vague question you might be able to answer, will any Japanese game be included in the easter egg or added to the spring sale? Vita or ps3 only, no PSP games or psn games.

BubblesPL 29 March, 2013 @ 12:15 pm   9

After the Christmas sale I knew this one would be similar – too many retail games. I’d like to see some digital only title on sale. Don’t get me wrong, Tomb Raider is a great game (at least it’s single player portion), but these sales are too much about retail games. Next deals are probably gonna be the same.

Tomb Raider not avaibale in Portugal? Wth?

dark_angel69 29 March, 2013 @ 12:17 pm   11

Another great deal. Sadly I already have that one too. lol. How bout some hints on the next one? :D lol

kurichan78 29 March, 2013 @ 12:19 pm   12

In AU dollars?

hedges1001 29 March, 2013 @ 12:20 pm   13

Hey Chris or jawad is there any chance that hyperdimension neptunia mk2 will go on sale any time soon

Tagged_Deaf 29 March, 2013 @ 12:22 pm   14

Why? Oh why?

My backlog is getting insanely higher, and you all put Tomb Raider whose wasn’t even old for 1 month or so, out on Easter Egg Hunt for only £20?

Tut, will have to download it later. :-P

Good choice for Egg Hunt!

A_Nonny_Moose 29 March, 2013 @ 12:27 pm   15

This would be tempting if it weren’t for the always-online DRM the digital version has.

TheYoungRebeI 29 March, 2013 @ 12:27 pm   16

Hey, Chris, can we know how many offers will we be seeing in total? Seven, eight? And one more thing. Is there any chance of Ni No Kuni appearing in this sale?

I3loodthirsty 29 March, 2013 @ 12:30 pm   17

hi chris todays deal is a great one ^_^

i know the odds of a reply are low but any chance you can let us know if dead space 3 or the new bioshock being in the easter egg hunt?

Canawarrior 29 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   18

#9 I completely agree. I don’t like buying games on PSN if they are also available on disc so unless we see some PSN only games-which I highly doubt- I guess I’ll pass.

Cube1701 29 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   19

I saw the Killzone/inFamous bundle, got excited then rushed to the store. Then I realised what time it ended.

Shame.

Bjarno86 29 March, 2013 @ 12:35 pm   20

@A_Nonny_Moose

Tomb Raider digital does not use always-online DRM. The confusion was caused by an error in the game description in the store when it was released.

Erroneus 29 March, 2013 @ 12:39 pm   21

Great price for UK, rest of EU not so great, still decent though.

Btw. deal is not showing up on none of the stores.

Chehansen88 29 March, 2013 @ 12:42 pm   22

when does the deal go live on the stor?anyone knows plz respond..

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 12:51 pm   23

The additional 10% off for Plus subscribers for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier disappeared from store.

Hey Chris, I can’t buy Tomb Raider. The buy button simply doesn’t appear, neither there is a price for it in the store

Hey Chris, I can’t buy T0mb Raider. The buy button simply doesn’t appear, neither there is a price for it in the store

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 12:55 pm   26

nezhet10 29 March, 2013 @ 1:07 pm   28

Hi, Chris!
Is there any chance that Doctor Who : The Eternity Clock (Vita) or Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath (vita) will go on sale? Please….

EAP3110 29 March, 2013 @ 1:11 pm   29

I am not getting the option to buy the tomb raider game from the PSN store. The add to cart button is missing. Will this be fixed soon? at least before the “Egg hunt” offer expires? ;)

CoolRichy007UK 29 March, 2013 @ 1:11 pm   30

coming soon dead rising 3 : off your rocker lol oh and sony remove any game from the store people will slap you

Now that’s a great deal! :)

Just make sure to fix the issue(no buy button) so I can buy it D:

Setha123 29 March, 2013 @ 1:15 pm   32

Still can’t buy Tomb Raider :(

MAC-TEP 29 March, 2013 @ 1:16 pm   33

why no buy option for Tomb Raider? is this some kind of sick joke? :(

Oh and Chris could you please ask milestone Studios to put the psvita versions of WRC 3 Championship and MUD Championship on sale :). (Or maybe as a FREE ps+ game)

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:28 pm   35

@Chehansen88 and anyone else after this offer

Going on the sale structure of the Xmas sale (same structure as this “egg hunt” sale by all counts) then the next offer will go live at 00:01 tonight with the last item [Killzone/InFamous:FoB bundle] leaving at 23:59 tonight

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:32 pm   36

They [the egg hunt offers] are all valid for 48 hours. Tomb Raider offer ends 23:59 on the 31st March so it’ll go live around midnight tonight :-)

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:35 pm   37

@Chris Please bare with me here:
I cannot really see the whole point behind this “Egg Hunt” sale or the “12 Deals Of Xmas” sale.

I know you come with the …“But it’s fun”… spiel but it really isn’t fun in the slightest.
From a customer standpoint we have to check in here [the blog] or the store every 2 days for the next, however many days this sale goes on for. Then if we spot something we like we have to top up our wallets.
Now for me that involves a trip into town/GAME for a top up voucher as I avoid sticking card details on the internet where ever possible.

Deals being live for 48 hours = many people missing deals and causing resentment.

We are not kids. this “Egg Hunt” is NOT fun.
Just tell us ALL the sale items upfront, have them live for 48 hours if you really want to but why you do this is beyond me. Surely from a business standpoint it makes sense to have all your sale items up for the longest possible time period so more customers can take advantage of these great offers.

neokillerandre6 29 March, 2013 @ 1:36 pm   38

Is there any chance there will be a dragon age pack egg hunt?

Bjarno86 29 March, 2013 @ 1:37 pm   39

@TINTINB303

No, it says 11:59 AM, so the deal should already be live.

a7md1990 29 March, 2013 @ 1:40 pm   40

Chris,

There is no buy button on Tomb Raider: Digital Edition!!

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:41 pm   41

^^ continued from above ^^
Why lay a sale out like this?

Can you please explain how it benefits us [the consumer] or you [the retailer] because it’s a loose loose situation for you and for us from where I’m sitting.

Please please please do not ignore this as I really do want to know how this kind of sale structure:
a) makes you more money than a regular sale would?
b) benefits us, the consumer in ANY way, shape or form?

Good offers so far but the layout of this type of sale makes no sense.

sentry-23 29 March, 2013 @ 1:41 pm   42

Same issue in Dutch store: The digital edition is listed on the easter hunt page, but there is no purchase/download option.

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:45 pm   43

@ Bjarno86

Aah, so it does. I stand corrected. ;-)

I was assuming it was taking the same pattern as the Xmas sale with respects to release times.

MASPALOMAZ 29 March, 2013 @ 1:50 pm   44

there is some more games that cannot be bought currently, and tomb rider already had no “buy” button yesterday. so now i guess we know which games will be on the sale then, all without a buy button currently ;)

wardragon989 29 March, 2013 @ 1:51 pm   45

Yeah same no buy button and I was so ready to buy it :(

Terarded 29 March, 2013 @ 2:04 pm   46

show the australian price! i only look here for deal on the ps store so not listing a price could be the one thing that stops me and mony other people from buying the games

supersmith2500 29 March, 2013 @ 2:06 pm   47

Any Vita games going to be in this Egg Hunt instead of just PS3 games? Won’t be EA’s games though since they don’t care but money. I bet most of these games are from Ubisoft and Square-Enix again.

hilts663 29 March, 2013 @ 2:09 pm   48

I hope for Hitman Absolution (maybe even Blood Money) or Max Payne discount…

Hi Chris, I have just one question how long we need to wait for fix Bioshock Infinite Season Pass? Thank you for replay have a nice day.

GunAndy 29 March, 2013 @ 2:14 pm   50
