Hello everyone. It’s getting dangerously close to that time of year where we all start to count how many chocolate eggs we can eat in one sitting, and then feeling deeply unwell afterwards. So, what better way to cure that feeling than with some great games!

Now as tradition reminds us, you should have to hunt for your treats at this time of year. With that in mind, PlayStation Store is very happy to present our Egg Hunt!

Much like the 12 Deals of Christmas promotion late last year, each of these discounts will be revealed just before they go live and will last for 48 hours only, starting today, Wednesday 27th March. Make sure you keep checking the Blog for information on the next deal!

But that’s not all! At the same time as the Egg Hunt we will also be running our Spring Sale so make sure you head over to the PlayStation Store to grab yourself some bargains. These discounts will start once the store has updated on Wednesday 27th March and will run until 9th April. Enjoy!

Check back regularly to find out what the next deal will be!

Chris, two things:

1. Will any Vita/PSP games go on Egg Hunt?

2. Why aren’t any of Sting studio’s games available in the PS store? USA has them.
For reference, I’m talking about Yggdra Union, Riviera, Knights in the Nightmare.
As a J-rpg and S-rpg fan, their lack is very noticeable.

Wow. Eidos are great

MasenkoHa 29 March, 2013 @ 12:05 pm   3

I don’t suppose that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection PS3 Version will be going on this special sale? I’m planning on getting it soon in preperation for MGSV and I’d hit myself hard if it ends up on sale after I get it..

@Chris

Why are the 3 Bioshock Infinite DLCs only free for UK Plus subscribers?
They are at least completely missing in the german store.

Take 2 expressed clearly that they intended to share those DLCs with everyone, not just the UK.

DiscworldDeath 29 March, 2013 @ 12:10 pm   5

Also, I’m disappointed in the customer service.

I go to the PS online store, it says “Lumines: Electronic Symphony” Trial – Purchased; Full Version – Purchased.

This is me grabbing it when it was free for PS+ members.
BUT, last week I turned on the game, and it says it’s trial version, and to “unlock the full version”, I need to pay the full price of the game, which is of course only possible from my Vita since the online store registers it as purchased.

Now, I’m sure this is not an issue only I am affected from, if we got something as a PS+ member then it should be available for us while we are PS+ members, right? Then the Lumines for Vita needs looking into, as even if you had added the game to your download list before, or even installed it, if you didn’t unlock the full game while it was on the IGC, then you’re stuck with the trial version.

DiscworldDeath 29 March, 2013 @ 12:10 pm   6

(Part 2, went over-length)

And I’d rather not get into the run-around you get whenever you try to discuss anything with the customer support team via email and the lack of a centralized location to get support but it being fragmented by country, when my country is just going to forward things elsewhere and then a lack of an actual response and increased handling times all around – and the unwillingness of CS UK to assist since I don’t live in the UK.
Terribly frustrating and disappointing, when you need assistance, to be met with so many roadblocks :-/

Chehansen88 29 March, 2013 @ 12:14 pm   7

when can i buy Tomb Raider ? or when does the store updtate so i can buy it? :)

Here’s a vague question you might be able to answer, will any Japanese game be included in the easter egg or added to the spring sale? Vita or ps3 only, no PSP games or psn games.

BubblesPL 29 March, 2013 @ 12:15 pm   9

After the Christmas sale I knew this one would be similar – too many retail games. I’d like to see some digital only title on sale. Don’t get me wrong, Tomb Raider is a great game (at least it’s single player portion), but these sales are too much about retail games. Next deals are probably gonna be the same.

Tomb Raider not avaibale in Portugal? Wth?

dark_angel69 29 March, 2013 @ 12:17 pm   11

Another great deal. Sadly I already have that one too. lol. How bout some hints on the next one? :D lol

kurichan78 29 March, 2013 @ 12:19 pm   12

In AU dollars?

hedges1001 29 March, 2013 @ 12:20 pm   13

Hey Chris or jawad is there any chance that hyperdimension neptunia mk2 will go on sale any time soon

Tagged_Deaf 29 March, 2013 @ 12:22 pm   14

Why? Oh why?

My backlog is getting insanely higher, and you all put Tomb Raider whose wasn’t even old for 1 month or so, out on Easter Egg Hunt for only £20?

Tut, will have to download it later. :-P

Good choice for Egg Hunt!

A_Nonny_Moose 29 March, 2013 @ 12:27 pm   15

This would be tempting if it weren’t for the always-online DRM the digital version has.

TheYoungRebeI 29 March, 2013 @ 12:27 pm   16

Hey, Chris, can we know how many offers will we be seeing in total? Seven, eight? And one more thing. Is there any chance of Ni No Kuni appearing in this sale?

I3loodthirsty 29 March, 2013 @ 12:30 pm   17

hi chris todays deal is a great one ^_^

i know the odds of a reply are low but any chance you can let us know if dead space 3 or the new bioshock being in the easter egg hunt?

Canawarrior 29 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   18

#9 I completely agree. I don’t like buying games on PSN if they are also available on disc so unless we see some PSN only games-which I highly doubt- I guess I’ll pass.

Cube1701 29 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   19

I saw the Killzone/inFamous bundle, got excited then rushed to the store. Then I realised what time it ended.

Shame.

Bjarno86 29 March, 2013 @ 12:35 pm   20

@A_Nonny_Moose

Tomb Raider digital does not use always-online DRM. The confusion was caused by an error in the game description in the store when it was released.

Erroneus 29 March, 2013 @ 12:39 pm   21

Great price for UK, rest of EU not so great, still decent though.

Btw. deal is not showing up on none of the stores.

Chehansen88 29 March, 2013 @ 12:42 pm   22

when does the deal go live on the stor?anyone knows plz respond..

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 12:51 pm   23

The additional 10% off for Plus subscribers for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier disappeared from store.

Hey Chris, I can’t buy Tomb Raider. The buy button simply doesn’t appear, neither there is a price for it in the store

Hey Chris, I can’t buy T0mb Raider. The buy button simply doesn’t appear, neither there is a price for it in the store

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 12:55 pm   26

Tomb Raider also not available for purchase.

Please fix this.

mr-sam2k 29 March, 2013 @ 12:56 pm   27

wow great deal thank you so much guys.

nezhet10 29 March, 2013 @ 1:07 pm   28

Hi, Chris!
Is there any chance that Doctor Who : The Eternity Clock (Vita) or Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath (vita) will go on sale? Please….

EAP3110 29 March, 2013 @ 1:11 pm   29

I am not getting the option to buy the tomb raider game from the PSN store. The add to cart button is missing. Will this be fixed soon? at least before the “Egg hunt” offer expires? ;)

CoolRichy007UK 29 March, 2013 @ 1:11 pm   30

coming soon dead rising 3 : off your rocker lol oh and sony remove any game from the store people will slap you

Now that’s a great deal! :)

Just make sure to fix the issue(no buy button) so I can buy it D:

Setha123 29 March, 2013 @ 1:15 pm   32

Still can’t buy Tomb Raider :(

MAC-TEP 29 March, 2013 @ 1:16 pm   33

why no buy option for Tomb Raider? is this some kind of sick joke? :(

Oh and Chris could you please ask milestone Studios to put the psvita versions of WRC 3 Championship and MUD Championship on sale :). (Or maybe as a FREE ps+ game)

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:28 pm   35

@Chehansen88 and anyone else after this offer

Going on the sale structure of the Xmas sale (same structure as this “egg hunt” sale by all counts) then the next offer will go live at 00:01 tonight with the last item [Killzone/InFamous:FoB bundle] leaving at 23:59 tonight

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:32 pm   36

They [the egg hunt offers] are all valid for 48 hours. Tomb Raider offer ends 23:59 on the 31st March so it’ll go live around midnight tonight :-)

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:35 pm   37

@Chris Please bare with me here:
I cannot really see the whole point behind this “Egg Hunt” sale or the “12 Deals Of Xmas” sale.

I know you come with the …“But it’s fun”… spiel but it really isn’t fun in the slightest.
From a customer standpoint we have to check in here [the blog] or the store every 2 days for the next, however many days this sale goes on for. Then if we spot something we like we have to top up our wallets.
Now for me that involves a trip into town/GAME for a top up voucher as I avoid sticking card details on the internet where ever possible.

Deals being live for 48 hours = many people missing deals and causing resentment.

We are not kids. this “Egg Hunt” is NOT fun.
Just tell us ALL the sale items upfront, have them live for 48 hours if you really want to but why you do this is beyond me. Surely from a business standpoint it makes sense to have all your sale items up for the longest possible time period so more customers can take advantage of these great offers.
cont…

neokillerandre6 29 March, 2013 @ 1:36 pm   38

Is there any chance there will be a dragon age pack egg hunt?

Bjarno86 29 March, 2013 @ 1:37 pm   39

@TINTINB303

No, it says 11:59 AM, so the deal should already be live.

a7md1990 29 March, 2013 @ 1:40 pm   40

Chris,

There is no buy button on Tomb Raider: Digital Edition!!

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:41 pm   41

^^ continued from above ^^
Why lay a sale out like this?

Can you please explain how it benefits us [the consumer] or you [the retailer] because it’s a loose loose situation for you and for us from where I’m sitting.

Please please please do not ignore this as I really do want to know how this kind of sale structure:
a) makes you more money than a regular sale would?
b) benefits us, the consumer in ANY way, shape or form?

Good offers so far but the layout of this type of sale makes no sense.

sentry-23 29 March, 2013 @ 1:41 pm   42

Same issue in Dutch store: The digital edition is listed on the easter hunt page, but there is no purchase/download option.

TINTINTB303 29 March, 2013 @ 1:45 pm   43

@ Bjarno86

Aah, so it does. I stand corrected. ;-)

I was assuming it was taking the same pattern as the Xmas sale with respects to release times.

MASPALOMAZ 29 March, 2013 @ 1:50 pm   44

there is some more games that cannot be bought currently, and tomb rider already had no “buy” button yesterday. so now i guess we know which games will be on the sale then, all without a buy button currently ;)

wardragon989 29 March, 2013 @ 1:51 pm   45

Yeah same no buy button and I was so ready to buy it :(

Terarded 29 March, 2013 @ 2:04 pm   46

show the australian price! i only look here for deal on the ps store so not listing a price could be the one thing that stops me and mony other people from buying the games

supersmith2500 29 March, 2013 @ 2:06 pm   47

Any Vita games going to be in this Egg Hunt instead of just PS3 games? Won’t be EA’s games though since they don’t care but money. I bet most of these games are from Ubisoft and Square-Enix again.

hilts663 29 March, 2013 @ 2:09 pm   48

I hope for Hitman Absolution (maybe even Blood Money) or Max Payne discount…

Hi Chris, I have just one question how long we need to wait for fix Bioshock Infinite Season Pass? Thank you for replay have a nice day.

GunAndy 29 March, 2013 @ 2:14 pm   50

No Tomb Raider buy button here neither. Damn!

Robinworldwide 29 March, 2013 @ 2:14 pm   51

Lol MASPALOMAZ could be on to something there…instead of an egg hunt now it should be a ‘no buy button’ hunt! Can you share what other games don’t?

SteveS-71 29 March, 2013 @ 2:16 pm   52

Looks like the buy button just went live.

Hey PlayStation I have 70 euros I was gifted in psn cards, now please give me good deals for games I want or else buying digital is pointless.

Rodia_73 29 March, 2013 @ 2:23 pm   54

This sale is lacking eggs. :o

Robinworldwide 29 March, 2013 @ 2:30 pm   55

Well rutea7, as a matter of fact 30 euro for Tomb Raider is a really good deal, especially considering i paid double for it only a few weeks back. The game is amazing, you won’t regret buying it!!

HadesHell 29 March, 2013 @ 2:41 pm   56

Hi Chris,

The following game:

“Generations of Chaos
Was €6.99/£5.49, now €2.99/£2.39
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers”

Is not available on PT Store, can you clarify this please!

Voodoo341 29 March, 2013 @ 2:42 pm   57

Unfinished Swan is the only game on PSN I would buy. Hopefully I’m not banned from the store when it eventually goes on sale.

dean1076 29 March, 2013 @ 2:43 pm   58

error when trying too add to basket, is this because this is popular or just broken lol

SteveS-71 29 March, 2013 @ 2:46 pm   59

@dean1076 probably an error because its popular. It added to basket and started downloading fine for me. Just hoping it doesn’t end up being corrupt like ME3 did for me a few weeks ago.

dean1076 29 March, 2013 @ 2:46 pm   60

working now

GunAndy 29 March, 2013 @ 2:47 pm   61

Now there is an option, but I cannot add the product in my cart. “An error has occurred”. Tried it several times.

dantei_ 29 March, 2013 @ 2:49 pm   62

I get some other error “You have no rights to buy or download it”. Still waiting…

dantei_ 29 March, 2013 @ 2:51 pm   63

Works fine! Just bought the game!

BonJovy 29 March, 2013 @ 2:51 pm   64

TR 30£ in Russia.
thx for nothing Sony,again…

SamiFFXII 29 March, 2013 @ 2:52 pm   65

This is awesome, I randomly just came on to check any updates and immediately started downloading Tomb Raider :-) Thanks Chris.

Silent_Gig 29 March, 2013 @ 2:56 pm   66

Im not sure im understand this offer correctly, we can only download the offer for a limited time – but the offers wont all exist together or overlap? Is that right?

66# Games will exist for 48hours then a new game will take it’s place.

Wait why does UK get a 60% discount while the rest of Europe gets 50%!!!???

@55 its not that big a deal as I can get it almost at that price for a phisical copy and a month from now it will b even cheaper. What I’d really like now is a jrpg deal for my vita or for the ps3. Americans got a sweet psn+ offer of disgaea 3 for free we should at least get some decent discounts.

nalla87 29 March, 2013 @ 3:08 pm   70

To all the people whining about Tomb Raider not being available to buy…if it was available it would still be full price, seeing as the Killzone/inFamous bundle expires at midnight. Use some common sense people and read the dates on the offers.

Having said that, this structure for a sale is so stupid. For example, I will be getting some money on Monday, if Tomb Raider was still on sale then, I would definitely be picking it up, but as it turns out, I will not be able to take advantage of this offer as I will be a few hours late with the money. Poor choices SCEE…

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 3:30 pm   71

Discount for Tomb Raider in Russian PSstore is only 40% (was 2499 rub / now 1499 rub). WTF?

Still no additional discount for Plus subscribers for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

ghettokid1987 29 March, 2013 @ 3:32 pm   72

Discount for Tomb Raider in Russian PSstore is only 40% (was 2499 rub / now 1499 rub).

Plaese fix this.

Robinworldwide 29 March, 2013 @ 3:45 pm   73

@rutea7 Half off of the price a few weeks after release is a good deal period. The fact that you found a store with a similar price, which i btw highly doubt, would just mean that store has a great deal as well. The usa got that game on ps plus which has absolutely nothing to do with a sale, i dare to say our ps plus is even a whole lot better than the american counterpart. Way to be negative man…

Jamesyp00 29 March, 2013 @ 3:48 pm   74

Bought the game on launch for £13, it was alright. This is a fine digital price so close to launch too, heads up to anyone buying, the multiplayer is ass.

Stonesthrow 29 March, 2013 @ 3:55 pm   75

Hmm, Tomb raider is mighty tempting at that price sir! Is on my list of games to get at pricecut (as is Dead space 3 and Crysis 3, wink wink)and the disced version will probably take a while to get down at that price. But I hate downloading and storing in big sizes and am still busy with Bioshock, and Sly Cooper after that. Think I’ll go for it anyway, all the more to keep me busy ’till Last of Us arrives :p

solarwind12 29 March, 2013 @ 4:41 pm   76

What’s happened to Tomb Raider, i mean i spotted it on sale in retail yesterday, cheapest being £28 in Asda, but am sure online shops will be less, was there a problem in it’s turnover ?. anyway i Must say this is truly a exceptional price for a game of this type. lol, i had it, for a few minutes just under 3 weeks ago.. it came as a choice outa 4 in a new console bundle offer, and, as i had looked around i knew there was a shop offering £36 (£36.!) trade in, so knowing GAME will match/beat other shops, i chose that. got other stuff, amazing spiderman movie and month of plus, Not the trial version.. oh and yet another HD cable, that’s about 3 unopened ones now just gathering dust, i mean they charge, ask £19.99 for them, but offer a measly £2 trade in.. rather just bin em.. anyway i decided i would opt for red console, and chose one with 2 dualshocks. but, is it just me or are they erm, cheaper types than other dualshock pads, i will have to search CEC number out and look online, just hope i haven’t opted for 2 made in wherever gamepads instead of getting one Real one.

Terarded 29 March, 2013 @ 4:44 pm   77

dont bother lining up new games for these specials. every new game in the world can be found on ebay for at least 50% of the price that stores ask so its impossible to make a ‘deal’ on a new game without being laughed at by customers

do you not remember battlefield 3 from the christmas one?

sammy9005 29 March, 2013 @ 4:50 pm   78

sony im very dissapointed you haven’t added any PS VITA GAMES and you also NEVER ADDED THE METAL GEAR SOLID PS ONE CLASSIC WHICH IS HIGHLY OVERPRICED at the moment its £7.99!!! PLEASE sony ITS NOT JUST ME WHO WANTS MORE PS VITA GAMES AND THE METAL GEAR SOLID PS ONE CLASSIC ON SALE!

solarwind12 29 March, 2013 @ 4:55 pm   79

@ Stonesthrow.
over here (UK) DS3 is going on sale in a lot of shops today, so hopefully either your region will follow, or the psn price may fall. though that’ll be unlikely, anyway hope you find it (DS3) at a good price soon, as for Crysis3. am sure that will be in bargain sections soon, as apparently no one seems very interested in buying it.. DS3 hasn’t sold enough either, talk about scrapping a allready started DS4, But they needed 5 Million sales just to break even, so God knows how much was spent producing that, but it’s pure quality, Not the same ‘horror’ type as 1+2, but still a very good game.

Jamesyp00 29 March, 2013 @ 5:10 pm   80

Apparently tomb raider is under performing in sales as well!

BaBy-_-D3aN0 29 March, 2013 @ 5:28 pm   81

Fantastic deal, one of the best game’s I’ve played! Multiplayer not too bad if played with friends, just a shame there’s no party mode…

On another subject, the PS+ discount isn’t showing up for Ghost Recon. I know it’s not a huge discount, but if it’s advertised then I expect it to be there.

Thanks in advance :)

Boomalla 29 March, 2013 @ 6:55 pm   82

Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers not showing up for Ghost Recon: future soldier. :(

mazegami 29 March, 2013 @ 7:38 pm   83

Gosh darn it why did I pre order tomb raider full price! :( good sale chris. Good sale.

mazegami 29 March, 2013 @ 7:42 pm   84

Had to double check, luckily I got it for £32 so not too much over sale price but still, well done on this discount :)

Erroneus 29 March, 2013 @ 8:53 pm   85

Maxiu: There is nothing to fix about the Bioshock Infinite season pass. No DLC has been released, that’s part of the season pass.

I know the wording said you would get instant access to bonus dlc, but that’s when it’s released and not right now.

Erroneus 29 March, 2013 @ 8:56 pm   86

Oh I have to correct my self there, looks there is a early bird bonus and it’s not working, my bad :)

Not sure whether to be so proud to be a long, long time Playstation supporter when you come out with deals like this or whether to be just annoyed that I pre-ordered T.Raider and paid full price less than a month ago!! After the Christmas deals I was sorely tempted to hold off on my pre-orders guess I should have. Given the ridiculous prices of standard downloads (£50 for A.of Two D.Cartel????!!!) I think you guys would learn sooner rather than later that these deals if left on longer and pre-warned to supporters like myself, revenue from the store would greatly increase. Not quite sure where the SCEE school of economics got it’s credentials.

Bahamut_MW 29 March, 2013 @ 9:09 pm   88

Any chance we could get a sale on other telltale games? The walking dead is awesome and really wanted to try Jurassic Park too but 29.99€ is too expensive for me to buy it
Thanks

Is there gonna be a beyond good and evil discount>?

ChairyBoyArmy 30 March, 2013 @ 12:40 am   90

PSN users, is anyone have trouble with EA games , reverting back to trials , even thou they have been fully payied for ?
Thanks :)

I agree that in these kind of sales the deals should all be made apparent prior to the sale with the time limits also in place for each one, that way less complain and more get what they want.

CreditDue 30 March, 2013 @ 2:41 am   92

Why isn’t the Assassinate The Führer DLC available in Austria, and Germany?

cosmic_uk 30 March, 2013 @ 8:25 am   93

Tomb Raider is a great deal. Unfortunately for my wallet, it was a day 1 purchase for me, but no regrets as it is a fantastic game.

So for some PS Vita love on the same level as the TR deal, PS4G, DOA5+ or AC3L for sub €29.99/£19.99 would be well received!

88# The jurassic Park game is trash. Buy Back to the future instead.(another TT game)

Curtis620 30 March, 2013 @ 10:19 am   95

i’m going to do everything in my power to give this company a bad reputation .

dark_angel69 30 March, 2013 @ 10:35 am   96

Would be nice to know if Ni No Kuni will be in offer or not cos I just found this offer today.

ghettokid1987 30 March, 2013 @ 10:40 am   97

Not related to this topic, but why all Darksiders II DLC disappeared from the store ?

nakano1987 30 March, 2013 @ 10:50 am   98

^It’s published by THQ so that’s the reason. This may happen to all games from THQ.

ghettokid1987 30 March, 2013 @ 12:31 pm   99

But the game itself (Darksiders II) is available. Others THQ titles (game and DLC) hasn’t such problem.

In US PSstore all Darksiders II DLC still are available.

Carl-G 30 March, 2013 @ 4:55 pm   100

Cool deals, keep them coming :P

MASPALOMAZ 30 March, 2013 @ 5:33 pm   101

Great discount for Tomb Raider :) Looking forward to more offers

if I could make a request , for many the ps2 game BLACK was a masterpiece, it would be so nice to see it in PSN for ps3.

MASPALOMAZ 30 March, 2013 @ 5:35 pm   102

another game almost forgotten:

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes

metascore of 84. would be great with a discount or in ps plus.

Night_ 30 March, 2013 @ 5:40 pm   103

Slightly shocked to see Tomb Raider on here for that price, but wow, that’s a good thing not a bad one. Personally was more than happy to pay day 1 retail for this game as it was so good. Going to stick my neck out a bit here and say it was better than Uncharted.

If you haven’t played this yet grab it, you won’t regret it.

Given I obviously can’t take advantage of this offer any chance of some offers on any of the recent Vita ‘AAA’ titles?

Can’t believe I missed out on killzone hd :( I hope that bundle goes on sale again!

Tomb Raider is $60nzd on the NZ PSN or £20 ($35nzd) on UK PSN, we’re getting charged almost double. Gutted for anyone who bought from the NZ PSN.

ghettokid1987 31 March, 2013 @ 2:43 am   106

Discount for Tomb Raider in Russian PSstore is only 40%. :(

Still missing:

‘Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Was €29.99/£14.99, now €14.99/£11.99
Additional 10% off for Plus subscribers’

spill1988 31 March, 2013 @ 1:06 pm   107

When I now add tomb raider to the basket it says £50 but on this site it says the deal is on until mid night tonight

Tanith 31 March, 2013 @ 1:12 pm   108

Yeah this really annoyed me, the egg hunt was still advertising tomb raider but then wouldn’t give me a purchase button. Now I have a purchase button but its full priced (still advertised on sale though)

MafiaCub 31 March, 2013 @ 1:37 pm   109

It doesn’t say midnight, it says 11:59am.GMT

It’s now 13:36 GMT

You’re wrong, not sony. There should be a new deal up though.

Tanith 31 March, 2013 @ 2:14 pm   110

Not cool,

They should not be advertising an offer if its not available (and they clearly were). BTW, I actually logged in to buy the product before the deadline, I only posted aftwards in frustration

Player_550 1 April, 2013 @ 10:44 am   111

Thank you PlayStation.I Bought PixelJunk Monsters and Shooter. Great price. Love these sales. :-)
