Hello there PlayStation Blog. What a busy couple of weeks! Here is a quick update of what’s been going on in the world of Music Unlimited and the updates we’re bringing to the service.

Snoop Lion Channel
The former D-O-double-G’s transformation into Snoop Lion has been the talk of the town in recent months and this week has seen the release of his first album Reincarnation under his new moniker. To celebrate this, Snoop himself has exclusively selected a channel’s worth of his favourite Reggae tracks for Music Unlimited that you can now listen to here.

Ask Kodaline your questions
Next month we will be interviewing Dublin-based alternative group Kodaline and we’re calling on you to pitch in your burning questions for the outstanding quintet. Just post your questions below. The new album In a Perfect World is out June 10th, but you can listen to their latest single High Hopes here.

iOS offline coming soon
We’ve recently released an update for iOS which will fix any minor bugs you are experiencing using Music Unlimited on your iPhone. However, we are very excited to announce that our summer 2013 update will feature the long awaited offline capabilities, so stay tuned!

Depeche Mode exclusive
In partnership with our friends at Xperia Lounge, we’re offering an exclusive show case featuring Depeche Mode from Live on Letterman. The shows Emmy award-winning production team have shot Alicia Keys, Mumford and Sons and Taylor Swift in recent months, but this one off performance is up there with the best of them. Check out the exclusive here.

We’re bringing the entire Red Hot Chilli Peppers back catalogue to the service from 30th April, so whether you’re a fanatical about Freaky Styley, or besotted with Blood Sugar Sex Magic, MU will be the go-to destination for your daily funk-rock fix.

In addition, there are plenty of big releases coming to the service in May, starting with Deerhunter’s album Monomania (6th) and the new one from Vampire Weekend, Modern Vampires of the City (13th May). 30 Seconds to Mars‘ Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams is released the following week (20th), as well as the hugely anticipated Daft Punk album ‘Random Access Memories’, featuring the brilliant new single Get Lucky feat. Pharrell Williams. You can listen to it here!

Alternative Dance band Crystal Fighters new single You & I is available at the end of the month (27th). Finally, after six years in the making, a little known desert rock outfit known as Queens of the Stone Age will be releasing their sixth studio album in early June. More on that next time…
