BEYOND: Two Souls gameplay detailed in new video

Hi everyone. Today we can unveil the second of our four part ‘Making of’ series for upcoming PS3 adventure BEYOND: Two Souls.

Hear from writer/director David Cage and the team at Quantic Dream on what BEYOND will be like to play, and how the team redesigned the user interface to provide a more intuitive and immersive gameplay experience than the studio’s previous title, Heavy Rain.

We’ll have the third part of the series next week, diving into more detail on the year-long motion capture shoot that was undertaken for BEYOND: Two Souls, and you’ll hear from lead actors Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe on what it was like to be involved in such an ambitious project.

Any questions, please just add them below.

Did you enjoy this?

I have considered pre-ordering the steelbox edition. Is there any official info available about localization in European countries? Mainly interested in, does the game have Finnish subtitles. If yes, are those only included in EU release and not UK release? European edition of Heavy Rain had Finnish localization which was very nice.

It would also be interesting to know what the exclusive 30 minutes contain, but this is probably still a secret.

The final game does have Finnish subtitles, but only in the EU release, not in the UK version.

The additional 30 minutes is still a little bit of secret for now…..

Just wow.. Hype for this and GTAV is pretty much getting painful now, need my fix soon! QD keeps pushing the bar and they have the most realistic looking characters I have ever seen in any game.
The lip syncing, mouth, depth, shadow,.. looked so real in that Dark Sorcerer tech demo it’s almost scary.. Absolutely can’t wait for this and future QD projects.

When does this come out and is it on PS3 or PS4?

It’s on PS3 and out from Weds 9th October across Europe, so if you’re in the UK, Fri 11th October.

“She can run, jump, shoot and ride a motorcycle”.

That’s nice and all, but can she PRESS X TO JASON!!?!?!?!?

I don’t know why, but I’ve also got this really sneaking suspicion- a hunch, if you will- that Quantic Dream may just be trying to deliver and emotional experience.

Don’t ask me why, but I’m just getting the idea that’s what they’re after.

Is there going to be a demo before release date?

That all sounds and looks very nice but have QD fixed the down right AWFUL screen tearing that PLAGUED Heavy Rain that’s what I want to know.

First pre order ever. Got the UK edition because for 43 euro I can’t get the special edition anywhere. It’s unfortunately I won’t be able to buy any DLC because of the stupid region lock for DLC.
Any change you could have a group of interims start working on a updated Farenheit version for PS3?

When the game comes out in Russia?
