David Cage talks Beyond: Two Souls at BAFTA

Hello PlayStation Blog! Got eyes only for PS4 at the moment? Well, there’s still plenty of life left in PS3, with the incredible Beyond: Two Souls heading our way in October.

Last Friday, Beyond’s Director and founder of Quantic Dream David Cage took to the stage at BAFTA HQ in London to deliver a lecture about the processes involved in creating the game, working with Hollywood stars Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, and the evolution of storytelling within the medium.

You can check out the full interview over at guru.bafta.org very soon, but in the video above you can check out Access’ very own Hollie Bennett chatting with the man himself about the making of his latest blockbuster, plus that age old question – are videogames art?

Enjoy the video, and don’t forget to check out the rest of our channel at youtube.com/playstationaccess for loads of ace video content across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

Did you enjoy this?

I think David Cage is slowly becoming my favorite developer out there, now that I feel that Kojima has been “selling out” a little bit by going multiplatform and giving the series a more westernized look and feel (not to mention outsourcing Revengeance). DC and Quantic dream just keep doing their own thing and that’s why the games stand out so much in my memory. And now that emotions have become even more of a factor and the tech allows them to portray it even better, their products just keeps rising in quality while not getting repetitive. I can also really appreciate his/their loyalty to Sony, as exclusives really do get the most out of a console and its controller. Much love from Belgium!
