Hi PlayStation Blog readers! Well, it’s been two months since we revealed we’d be bringing out Worms Revolution Extreme on PlayStation Vita – our first Worms game to hit the awesome mobile platform.

We’ve been inundated with eager fan requests of when the pocket turn-based strategy will hit the PSN Store. We’re really excited to now be able to share with you that Worms Revolution Extreme will be available to download for your PS Vita via PSN on 9th October for just £11.99/€14.99!

Worms Revolution Extreme features an extensive single player campaign spanning 72 levels in total, which are a mixture of missions and puzzles. Levels are set across 7 different environment themes including: Sewer, Farmyard, Spooky, Beach, Mars, Funfair or Medieval!

New Treasure Mode! This all new cross-gifting mode enables you to link up with your friends who have a PS3 system (or vice versa). You can help each other unlock 10 special gifts using a lock and key system. Meet the requirements in either offline versus or online battles to receive a key and connect to a friend’s PlayStation 3 system with the corresponding chest to unlock the treasure! What will you unlock?

We’ve also utilised the PS Vita’s touch screen controls and added in the ability to use the front touch screen to select items and pan/zoom the camera. You can also enable the rear touch pad to use to aim your weapons!

Worms Revolution Extreme lets you keep your worms mobile with cross-save functionality. Carry on your PlayStation 3 save game progress on your PlayStation Vita, or vice versa. Just reached a vital part in the campaign? Carry your save across to your PS Vita so you can continue your quest on the bus/tube/train and keep Don Keystone by your side!

We hope you will all enjoy keeping your army of worms mobile and we’ll hopefully see some of you in online battles on the 9th. May the best worm win!

any planned discounts for people who own the ps3 version?

Any discounts for people who have bought like a bajillion previous Worms games over the last couple decades? :P

I’ll pass on this one. For Superfrog HD the pricepoint was a sweet one, with the PS+ discount on top I think it was 6.50 Euro or something.

15 Euro for a game I bought so often already, this time its a pass.

But if you’d bring Project X for PSVita its another story :-)

i bought this when it was launched, i would love this on my vita but needs a better price for me to bite. Does this version incude the ps3 dlc addons?

    Hi,

It does indeed! Worms Revolution Extreme already comes with the Mars, Funfair, and Medieval Tales DLC packs included. This bags you: 3 more themes, 15 more missions, 5 more puzzles, 8 more weapons and 20 more customisation items for your worms!

kinda like what they did with rocket birds.I’m sorry that i have to add a url:http://www.levitrazone.com

@silmorat1

Yes it appears to do so considering that the level themse (mars, funfair, medievil) are included in this version that it does include the DLC packs (heres hoping the waepons too as well), regardless I never had any version of Revolution so i will be picking this up for sure.

Oh and the single player mission total also gives rise to the DLC packs being included…

sry for double posting

It is a shame the ps3 version runs quite slow at times, if they updated the pan version with a fix then I would buy the vita version
