New on PlayStation Store: inFAMOUS! Final Fantasy! Metal Gear! Towerfall!

Big week for new releases – Luftrausers, Steamworld, Ninja Gaiden Z also incoming

Exclusive to PlayStation 4 this week is hotly anticipated inFAMOUS: Second Son. Delsin Rowe takes the lead role this time with new powers at his disposal. Casually walk the streets of Seattle, or take to the skies with glorious superhuman powers including shifting around as smoke. Think of the asthmatics!

I spent over 100 hours on this many years ago, and now I plan to do it again. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is at last releasing this Friday. Relive or experience for the first time the beautiful story of Tidus, Yuna and the rest of the gang with shinier graphics and a newly arranged soundtrack. Don’t forget the Sun Crest like I did…

Big Boss sneaks his way onto PS Store too in Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for PS3 and in 60fps goodness on PS4. Dip your toes into this first phase of what the wider MGSV universe aims to offer as you infiltrate an enemy camp and toy with new gameplay mechanics.

Also releasing this week are indie titles Towerfall Ascension, Luftrausers and Steamworld Dig. There are large discounts on Rockstar games including titles from GTA and Midnight Club franchise as well as some indie deals for LIMBO, Age of Zombies and more.

How much ££££ for Infamous, i need to know weather to cancel Amazon order, but not without a price!

INS1GHTFUL 19 March, 2014 @ 2:36 pm   2

Is steamworld for vita too?

Also does luftrausers have a discount for ps+

Excellent update by the way. My vita will be very busy especially with the discounts. Thanks

Luftrausers and Steamworld have 20% PS Plus discount :)

Steamworld is also available for Vita.

DDDDD: what is the price for infamous ?!? waited for this update just for the price -.-

SpiderMike_X 19 March, 2014 @ 2:37 pm   4

There seems to be an error on the store. It’s says the demo costs 25 quid!

link1983 19 March, 2014 @ 2:38 pm   5

I really needed to know a price for the Infamous Second Son Legendary edition. I have £80 in my account right now and there’s about £14 worth of stuff I want to buy in the R* sale.

StevenJamesHyde 19 March, 2014 @ 2:38 pm   6

Some great indie deals (Angry Birds finally a reasonable price!!) and Ground Zeroes is £5 cheaper than expected… but no Infamous pricing?

a7md1990 19 March, 2014 @ 2:38 pm   7

Yo Jawad! “Ninja Gaiden 2 incoming” do you mean Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2? I’m pretty sure I ran into it sometime ago on the PS Store (PS3 version not the Vita).

Cosmic_Rooster 19 March, 2014 @ 2:39 pm   8

Why delay the UK pricing for both editions of Second Son?

Bjarno86 19 March, 2014 @ 2:39 pm   9

GTA V
Megalodon Shark Cash Card (£64.99/€74.99/AU$109.95)

The “Micro”transaction practice has gone too far…

KaneTheGoth 19 March, 2014 @ 2:39 pm   10

Hi,

Any chance of a sale on The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and the Bioshock Infinite season pass?

Thanks!

just looked at the 27th november update. PS4 games which were 70 euro were £55 while 60 euro ones were £52. if thats true im defo getting the infamous legendary edition same price as in store then!

£50 for inFamous, and £60 for the Special Edition. Nobody will buy them at these prices, but any higher will not help yourself at all.

a7md1990 19 March, 2014 @ 2:39 pm   13

Ooh lol sorry.. just realized it was “Z” and not “2″. Please forgive.

LAILIEL 19 March, 2014 @ 2:40 pm   14

I must say that the price in Euro for Second Son’s Legendary Edition it’s right.
Even with some discount I only manged to find it for over €60-65.
Well done Sony…though next time announce prices sooner ;)

Jawad ..

activision said :
Sad to say that the downloadable songs for the Guitar Hero, DJ Hero and Band Hero games, and the Guitar Hero mobile game will no longer be available after March 31, 2014. The Guitar Hero servers will stay online and any previously purchased downloadable content is unaffected by this change.

We want to thank all of you for supporting Guitar Hero over the last nine years. To celebrate this great community, selected songs and tracks will be available for as much as a 50% discount on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii from now until the end of the month.

For more information, please visit the store on your console.
………

Will this also be on PSN store today ?

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 2:51 pm

I’ll see what I can find out.

    Jawad Ashraf 20 March, 2014 @ 2:34 pm

    Further update on this.

Unfortunately we will not be discounting Guitar Hero DLC. You can still obtain them until next week however where we will remove them.

Sorry we weren’t able to slash the prices before removal :(

Joejackson90 19 March, 2014 @ 2:40 pm   16

Bit Trip Runner 2 is having a 1 year aniversary sale and is reduced in price. Reduced on Wii U, PC, Vita, PS3 (US) but not showing the UK PS3 version as reduced. The UK Vita version is though. Jawad could you check if this is correct please? I would buy it if it was on sale, thankyou. Here is the link of a web page they created to advertise it:- runner2 at dot com. Not sure if the comments allow links so replace the dot com with the correct characters. Stay cool Jawad, Morpheus styleeee.

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 2:53 pm

Seems only the Vita version applies to us this time, sadly. I’ll see what we can do for the PS3 version.

Skookie30 19 March, 2014 @ 2:41 pm   17

Wow £24:99 for MGS5:GF that a steal I expected it to be £10 more then ps3 version.

So that good, but no ps1 & ps2 classics why?

jamie-sixtyfour 19 March, 2014 @ 2:41 pm   18

Stealth Inc Ultimate Edition, Steamworld Dig (Cross-Buy), Towerfall Ascension & inFamous: Second Son on the PS Store in the same week? Incredible!

Tuulenpoika 19 March, 2014 @ 2:41 pm   19

Nice to finally see SteamWorld Dig available. It’s a shame that the Indie sale didn’t reach PSP’s games, like Who’s That Flying or Fighing Fantasy bundle.

Speaking of PSP, since it’s quickly fading away from the way of Vita, how about having some sort of “PSP Appreciation Month” or something like that? Ask fans what titles they would want to have on sale or older titles to be added to PSN before there won’t be anything new anymore. Even Gaijinworks is still working on releasing games on PSP, and seeing how many games (even first party games, Parappa, for example) are missing from the European Store even though they have been made available in US Store and in physical format in Europe, the appreciation month kind of thing would really be great. Just to make the EU PSN Store seem a little bit more equal with the US one.

magmar126 19 March, 2014 @ 2:43 pm   20

No discount for Stealth Inc. Ultimate Edition? Curve Studios said they would try this for owners of the PS3 and PS Vita versions, would love to see this happen.

Great update anyway =)

Lethalx08 19 March, 2014 @ 2:43 pm   21

@Ins1ghtful – Steamworld is for vita aswell. Why it isn’t listed i don’t know but the devs confirmed PS4 & Vita. I think PS3 is wrong.

@Jawad – A few thing:
1. Could we get the matrix PS2 games, Enter the Matrix & The Matrix: Path of Neo as PS2 Classics ?
2. Would i need to contact customer services about Eat Them! saying i need to buy it again even know i got it ages ago when it was discounted in First Play ?
3. Any news of Guilty Gear AC+ PS3/Vita ?
4. Could you pass on a bug to the PS store team about it booting me to the XMB randomly. I can now predict it’s going to happen but i’m not sure why it does it. Thing i notice is it slows down & becomes unresponsive & then boots me. It’s like my PC hanging when all the ram is used up before it blue screens :/.

Thank you :)

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 2:58 pm

    Fixing the Steamworld listing :)

    1. I can’t see it happening due to movie licensing.
    2. I assume you can’t download this again from our download list? If this is the problem then yes, please contact consumer services who can look into the problem further.
    3. Sadly not :(
    4. I’ll pass it on.

Lethalx08 19 March, 2014 @ 2:44 pm   22

Forgot something else. Is the Skullgirls DLC free to those who owned the original & the original DLC & to those who backed the Indie GoGo campaign like it was planned to be ?

novurdim 19 March, 2014 @ 2:44 pm   23

Sorry, but may I inquire, where is Toukiden for russian PSN? Tecmo resolved their problems almost a month ago and said, that the rest is up to SCEE. So… what’s going on?

UK_Rocklance 19 March, 2014 @ 2:45 pm   24

PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS when you post sale information. Some of those Indie Deals may be quite obviously Vita, but not all are clear (is Limbo PS3 or Vita or cross-buy?). Please do us a favour, do some work and find out for us before posting, so that we don’t get excited for nothing, only to be very disappointed when we go check the store.

I’ll repeat again:
PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS
PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS
PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS
PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS
PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORMS

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 3:13 pm

Edit: They’re not. I’ll have the post updated to make it clear for readers :)

INS1GHTFUL 19 March, 2014 @ 2:45 pm   25

also just realised bots for KZ mercenary! awesome.

XtianHawkGamer 19 March, 2014 @ 2:45 pm   26

I think that should be Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (PSVita) on the PSVita section?

Nazar_Ops 19 March, 2014 @ 2:45 pm   27

Did I just read it right? Botzone is coming out today for KZ:M?!

PIREDERAS 19 March, 2014 @ 2:46 pm   28

I thought Luftrausers was discounted for the launch period.

tat_sun 19 March, 2014 @ 2:47 pm   29

The Witch And The Hundred Knight (available from 21st March)
Price: £39.99/€9.99/AU$69.95

That’s a good Euro price! ;-)

hayzink 19 March, 2014 @ 2:47 pm   30

Is that right with final fantasy?

You get both versions on ps3 for £29.99 but on vita x-2 itself is £29.99??

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 3:14 pm

No, it is X and X-2 for Vita as well. No separate title availability for either.

SaintEngo 19 March, 2014 @ 2:48 pm   31

Will Towerfall have a Plus discount?

Pretty sure Steamworld Dig is PS4 and Vita, not PS3, correct?

vectormatic 19 March, 2014 @ 2:48 pm   33

KZM BOTMODE, awwwwwww yes!

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 3:15 pm

Sadly this has been pushed back until April. Apologies for the sudden delay.

Porcupeth00 19 March, 2014 @ 2:49 pm   34

Thanks for the info! When can we start buying/downloading Ground Zeroes PS4 in EU (non-UK)?

vectormatic 19 March, 2014 @ 2:50 pm   35

On topic of the deal of the week though, i’m dissapointed that the full game has been discounted a few times, but we always get gouged on the DLC, i’d love the classic stuff, but i’m not paying 12 bucks for a few cars and tracks if the full game is 15.

BluSpykz 19 March, 2014 @ 2:50 pm   36

Quite a lot for me today and this week.

Any eta on April’s ps plus games announcement. Thanks.

JO-AYNE 19 March, 2014 @ 2:51 pm   37

Is there a launch discount for Plus members on Steamworld Dig? I seem to remember Fred mentioning something about it…?

What sun crest? O_O

    Jawad Ashraf 19 March, 2014 @ 3:10 pm
