No discount for Rayman on PS4, only version I really want =(

Also no discount for Freedom Cry DLC rather than the standalone, very disappointed about that!

Is Child of Light available today? Will it be £11.99 cross-buy?

    Lt_Combo 30 April, 2014 @ 12:24 pm

As far as I know for Europe it’s crossbuy but it could be that it’s only crossbuy for the deluxe pack not sure. That said, I have been waiting for that game for days now .. and esp the last 2 days have been horrible. It released early in the USA I can’t wait to play it .. :( They better release it today .. but somehow I worry it might not since the blog hasn’t had any updates on it etc. Usually it has an article saying “this game is out on PSN today” or something like that ..

    salvogdaze 30 April, 2014 @ 12:48 pm

I was hoping to download and play it for the couple of free hours I have right now, but not even a blog mention makes it look even worse. Not even sure we’re getting this today anymore…

    Chris Howe 30 April, 2014 @ 1:45 pm

Child of Light is scheduled for release today, its £11.99 and you get the PS3 / PS4 version

Will pick up P4G for sure. Everyone has been telling me it’s the sole reason to own a Vita (I kinda like my other games but sure whatever) so I’m interested to try it out.

    dark_angel69 30 April, 2014 @ 11:44 am

Nice choice! I agree with all those that told you that. You may not be interested in your other games anymore once you start it. ^_^

    pinkplaybunny 30 April, 2014 @ 11:58 am

Yeah great game. Only other one i have enjoyed so much on the vita is Virtues last reward

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 1:41 pm

Don’t… retail boxed version cost exactly the same price. IT IS NOT SALE! IT IS RIP OFF FOR DIGITAL VERSION!

Persona 4 is great game! But if you can but it for the same price with nice box… why would you buy it without anything (digital)?

@Archacus – There’s no copies of it locally to where I live. Getting a box copy online will cost me more than the €17 this digital version will cost and will take up to a week before I get it. I could buy the digital version and be playing it by tonight. And I’m not big on boxes. They just take up room, they don’t come with nice manuals any more and I keep all my vita games together in a case.

    pinkplaybunny 30 April, 2014 @ 4:21 pm

Yeah this is cheaper than the boxed version you can get on Amazon which i think is an import anyway. Though lately it looks like there may be a UK version on there based on the age rating on the box, but its still £20 so £7 more..

Not bad, but nothing for me. It would be great if Rayman had a discount for PS4.

Chris a bit off topic, but van you please, do anything for the downlaod list? it needs filters and search option. I know it’s not your domain, but you should know whom to speak to.

    Chris Howe 30 April, 2014 @ 1:46 pm

we are always trying to make improvements but they take time and development work so it’s nto a quick fix I am afraid, but I will pass your comments on to the relevant people

MarkMarkov 30 April, 2014 @ 11:43 am   6

Hi!
It’s about the Easter Sale. In the hungarian store the Metal Gear Trilogy HD Collection (PS3) deal went offline too early. The description page says:
“Special offer price valid from 09-04-2014 to 01-05-2014 ”
The end date was 01-05-2014 according that sentence. I’d love to have it at discounted price. Sure i’m a last minute buyer.
Thanks.

thank you

laticspieman 30 April, 2014 @ 11:46 am   8

Hi. Any chance of a discount on either the Bioshock Infinite Season Pass or the Burial at Sea content? Cheers :D

    Bovrillor 30 April, 2014 @ 12:15 pm

Give it a couple of months and I’m sure it’ll happen. The first 2 DLCs have been discounted before, but the 3rd is only a few weeks old so it’s probably a little too soon to be discounting the season pass.

theo_andravida 30 April, 2014 @ 11:48 am   9

Should i hold out on Assassin’s Creed III Liberation (PS Vita)?
Is there a chance of it entering the IGC in the near future or just future?

hilts663 30 April, 2014 @ 11:48 am   10

Great, Will buy 2 or 3 games…

Hi Chris Howe , any sign of Hogs of War for EU/UK PSN market ? I see that for US market is available but on mys PS Vita i can have only one account PSN . Thx and Best Regards

    Chris Howe 30 April, 2014 @ 1:47 pm

I don’t have any news on this, maybe drop Jawad a line later in the store post he might know something, no promises though

EMORTAL9 30 April, 2014 @ 11:51 am   12

next months plus games unveiled:
SC: black list and rayman
hahaha

Persona 4 and Luftausers will be instabuys for me :)

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 1:42 pm

It is not great sale, you can find without any problem retail boxed version of Persona for exactly the same price.

    QuietlyWrong 30 April, 2014 @ 2:23 pm

Where? Where on earth can you find P4G retailing for £13.50

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 2:46 pm

    @QuietlyWrong
I’m not sure we can post links to other shop, so I’m going to play it safe.
From american shop dealing with looooots of stuf you can buy it for 20$
From the same shop but from GB you can buy it for 15 pounds
From online shop in canada you can buy it for 19 CDN

    QuietlyWrong 30 April, 2014 @ 2:58 pm

medenko1975 that’s not even the same game

Archacus £15 in GB perhaps but only if you then have to add on £4 for postage

    pinkplaybunny 30 April, 2014 @ 4:23 pm

That link is for Persona Arena, its a different game!!! You can’t get retail versions of Persona 4 Golden that cheap. This is a good sale.

besides being a different game, people in Europe wouldn’t be able to play Persona 4 Arena US version anyway as it’s region locked. It’s a decent price for P4G but I prefer my physical copy. Physical copies new run for around £22.85+ and there is always ebay if you don’t care if its a used game

JFCCMcDondy 30 April, 2014 @ 11:55 am   14

I’ll be prolly get Blacklist and Prince.

ShogunDarius 30 April, 2014 @ 11:55 am   15

No Rayman PS4 sale?

also can we get Sumioni in a sale? as well as the 2 Cladun psp games and no heroes allowed?

homerjnick 30 April, 2014 @ 12:00 pm   16

Some cracking deals in there…Splinter Cell Blacklist takes my fancy but I’ve been worried it will appear on PS+ for a while now so held off buying a copy from my local store (at £5.99 I may add!).

Also the Rayman games on the PS3 are a great price too but same issue again…are these likely to appear on PS+?

If I buy the discs then at least I can trade them in but if I buy these games in the sale today and then they appear in PS+ later I’d be rather miffed…

evilwitch83 30 April, 2014 @ 12:01 pm   17

Back to only giving 10% plus discounts then, while US gets 50% plus discounts on their sales. Nothing for me, then.

Why is plus so much better for US than EU? They get more games than us, and their discounts in sales are much better as well.

    Jarskaaja 30 April, 2014 @ 12:14 pm

I have to agree with this. If an American Plus user has an European account, they can participate in European sales without a problem because the Plus discount is extremely small. But an European Plus user can’t participate in American sales because their Plus discount is gigantic. It’s why I think I’m going to let this account’s Plus expire (and quickly play through my backlog this summer) and get an American Plus account instead.

You do realise the US feel the exact same way about our plus… no one seems to be happy with what they’ve got… Also, it’s not too difficult to make a US account and get a plus subscription there if thats what you really want.

    Jarskaaja 30 April, 2014 @ 12:20 pm

It IS quite difficult to make a US Plus account, because I have a few years worth of IGC games on this account which I would have to give up unless I start paying for two plus accounts.

Meanwhile Americans can just make a European account and get these discounts and the only thing they miss without Plus is a small 10% extra discount which is less than two euros in most cases.

    born2hack 30 April, 2014 @ 12:34 pm

You can get a US account, buy one month Plus, and then buy the games with the 50% discount. After the games are purchased, you don’t need plus anymore to keep playing them.

    hiryu_PL 30 April, 2014 @ 2:01 pm

You better watch out where you asking this question. I’ve asked Fred Dutton (cheers!) and he banned me on twitter. This is how PlayStation employees are treat consumers. btw it’s thanks to us – consumers – people like Fred Dutton got they salary, but sadly they do not respect it. Shame on you Fred. You should work in Russia – mr. Putin loves ppl like you.

There has been discussion before how US gets bigger discounts (re our 10% vs US 50%) let’s say a game is £10, it goes on sale at £5 and then adds 10% plus discount. In theory, it is actually around 55 -60% off we are getting as a plus user. In the US they auto add the discount for plus, whereas on EU blog they don’t add the plus discount in with the sale price. So it actually looks like we are getting less a discount. Back to that £10 game, where non plus users are paying £5, plus users are paying £4 or paying £4.50 if the 10% is taken off the £5 sale price and not the total price of the game.

Not defending Sony, btw it’s simple mathematics. A fairer argument would be why does the US still pay less for content than Europe and why do both the US and Japanese plus get more games than European plus. I think if more people actually noticed what Japan gets over everyone else then maybe it would improve the content on both US and EU plus. I think people would be shocked at how much love the vita gets there over the west, not just plus offerings but games released as well.

Speaking of where’s the F2P MMO’s Japan vita users get like Phantasy star Online and Samurai & Dragons? Not to mention all the F2P MMO’s available on PS3 and….PS4 too

alcibiades4291 30 April, 2014 @ 12:07 pm   18

This sale is ridonk! Definitely picking up Ass Creed Lib and Rayman Legends on Vita. Coupled with the impending PS+ games it’s going to be a very cheap month of gaming for me!!

hilts663 30 April, 2014 @ 12:10 pm   19

Chris, is it safe to buy Blacklist? I dont want to spend 13E just to see it in June’s IGC

RainyDusk 30 April, 2014 @ 12:12 pm   20

Very good sale, Chris! I have a question though… why Assassin’s Creed Revelations Complete Pack has never been discounted, as opposed to AC2 and Brotherhood Complete Pack? DLCs for Revelations are pretty expensive, and I’d like to play them. Anything you can do for it?

    Half-H3ro 30 April, 2014 @ 7:17 pm

I know! I really want to get the DLC for Revelations, but I don’t want to pay more than I paid for the actual game to get the DLC, ’cause it’s currently not discounted, and costs £7.99 and the game will cost me £4.31 with my PS+ account.

Jarskaaja 30 April, 2014 @ 12:12 pm   21

Damn it, why is Asscreed Revelations DLC still not on sale? I have been hoping for that, and now there’s a sale dedicated to Ubisoft and it’s still not on sale…

Jeff-Andrew-NL 30 April, 2014 @ 12:13 pm   22

Another AC sale..
And no Prince of Persia reboot DLC sale price? Why the f not.. It’s 10 euro’s.
Why can’t you ever offer proper DLC discounts :(

LordRastan 30 April, 2014 @ 12:18 pm   23

Great discounts!!! thanks!!!

Lt_Combo 30 April, 2014 @ 12:21 pm   24

Please answer
1. Is the AC freedom cry discount also for PS4?
2. Will Child of light release today, it released early in the USA, have been waiting impatiently since then.
3. Aren’t the PS+ titles supposed to be released today ..? They are usually downloadable a little before 1PM in the Netherlands, but for some reason it’s not the case today?

a7md1990 30 April, 2014 @ 12:22 pm   25

No discount on AC Revelations DLC!! :’( I’m gonna go jump off a bridge :’(

    Jeff-Andrew-NL 30 April, 2014 @ 12:27 pm

They want you to buy cheap games so you’ll overspend on DLC… :(

    RainyDusk 30 April, 2014 @ 12:34 pm

I hope Chris will do something for that, there any many of us asking for a discount on those DLCs. I would like a discount for the complete version of AC Revelations, too.

UK_Rocklance 30 April, 2014 @ 12:22 pm   26

What’s the difference between “Assassin’s Creed II Complete Pack” and “Assassin’s Creed 2 Game of the Year Edition”? Which one is more ‘complete’?

Any Star Wars sale this week?

    dark_angel69 30 April, 2014 @ 12:42 pm

I could be wrong but was reading the description and there is no mention of the dlc in the Game of the Year edition. While for the complete pack it says

“With the Assassin’s Creed® II Complete Pack, expand the Assassin’s Creed® II experience with the inclusion of all of its downloadable content:

    - Sequence 12: Battle of Forli
    - Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities
    - Three Templar secret locations from the Assassin’s Creed® II Collector’s Edition”

So that could be why the price difference.

    UK_Rocklance 30 April, 2014 @ 1:00 pm

I thought a GOTY edition would include all DLCs. If I remember correctly, these DLCs were already published before the GOTY was released. Anyway I can’t find either of them on the web store (didn’t check from PS3).

    dark_angel69 30 April, 2014 @ 1:12 pm

I thought that too but it should have been listed in the description. Any chance some dlc could been published after the GOTY was released? I’m sure it will have something that makes it cost more than a standard but it may not have the complete package.

    holdin09 30 April, 2014 @ 3:05 pm

You get a tiny extra mission in single player for GOTY.

    Azaan60 1 May, 2014 @ 12:58 am

Tiny extra mission? Are you sure? What’s the name of the mission?

    dna0008 4 May, 2014 @ 11:49 am

    Has anyone brought either?

    According to Wikipedia
” Assassin’s Creed II: The Complete Edition. Included in the package are download codes for the two DLCs, Battle of Forlì and Bonfire of the Vanities and the three Templar Lairs. Later Assassin’s Creed II: The Game of the Year Edition was released, containing the extra content incorporated on the game disc.”

born2hack 30 April, 2014 @ 12:27 pm   27

Any change you could add Kingdoms of Amalur DLC to the list? :)

dassiearwen 30 April, 2014 @ 12:30 pm   28

Cool as this sale may be, I *really* want the Golden Week Sale that’s going on in US to happen in EU as well. Picking up Tales Symphonia Chronicles for 10 bucks would make my whole week.

    ImoutoPantsu 30 April, 2014 @ 2:17 pm

+1, seriously, If we had the US deals I’d be 100 quid poorer right now and 100 times happier

    evilwitch83 30 April, 2014 @ 2:36 pm

Agreed. Picking up Tales of Symphonia Chronicles for around £6.25 would make me really happy.

Guri_Tricolor 30 April, 2014 @ 12:31 pm   29

holly hell guys!! fantastic job with these sales! thank you

WearingFin 30 April, 2014 @ 12:34 pm   30

Well, another game this month to add to my Vita backlog. I thought I would have enough from the Easter sale but nope, you clearly want to bleed be dry. Well played sir, well played.

nulenvoid 30 April, 2014 @ 12:34 pm   31

At least PS4 has sharefactory (which is superbly done btw). Would be nice to see a few more cross platform sales where applicable.

CShasuki 30 April, 2014 @ 12:34 pm   32

And no reduction of any Ubisoft PS4 game to a price that is not a complete rip off.

corto1976 30 April, 2014 @ 12:42 pm   33

Chris, please bring Tactics Ogre sale to Europe too!

    BartsBlue 30 April, 2014 @ 3:14 pm

Awww, heck yea. I am ashamed to admit I’ve played it some time back in a, ahem, slightly less legal way, but I would love to have it on my Vita. However, it is way too expensive at its current price – 20EUR for an admittedly great, but still port of SNES game is a no-go for me.

Robanthegiant 30 April, 2014 @ 12:46 pm   34

Great Deals! Any chance of Towerfall going in to a sale soon?

mazurpapa 30 April, 2014 @ 12:47 pm   35

Hungary misses all the fun. Quatar, I feel for you, bro :’(

Good offers here! Will possibly pick up Persona 4G.

Persona 4 Arena seems to have disappeared off the store now though. Is there a reason for this? Was going to pick it up in the Easter sales.

BenderUnit22 30 April, 2014 @ 1:18 pm   37

Not to sound ungrateful, but I wish I could get some of these lovely deals in my PS4. I’d get Rayman and AC4 in an instant. Oh well, guess I have to settle for Child of Light this week.

    man_utd_xl 1 May, 2014 @ 1:01 am

the decision to allow a game to be discounted is the developers, if theres no discounts it’s not because of sony it’s because the developers feel the game doesn’t need one

CreditDue 30 April, 2014 @ 1:20 pm   38

Half tempted with Liberation HD and Far Cry Classic.

How is the GRAW 2 online community? I’ll hazard a guess and say it is dead?

homerjnick 30 April, 2014 @ 1:26 pm   39

Well while I want to buy some of these I’m not taking the risk since many sale items appear later for free on PS+…SCEE take note…you are losing out on sales because of your sales strategy…either confirm the games that are on sale will not be on PS+ for a minimum of a year or confirm well in advance what the PS+ games will be…

    bubble_boy01 30 April, 2014 @ 2:02 pm

It sucks when you buy a game a few months before they come on PS+ but if you want that guarantee it means there’ll just be less sales to make sure that potential future PS+ aren’t in there. Worst case scenario now is you spend $10 on a game that you play a few months earlier than you get on Plus whilst supporting the developers

TheDrunkenMoose 30 April, 2014 @ 1:32 pm   40

I feel like PS4 Plus users aren’t really getting any slice of the cake when it comes to great offers. Please make some sale MGS, or Rayman for the PS4. Maybe even for the heck of it, add Knack and put that on sale aswell? ;)
Anyway, good job on the PS4 update and the sale (Even though i missed my piece) Keep it up!

    CreditDue 30 April, 2014 @ 1:45 pm

Don’t be surprised if Knack ends up on PS+ soon.

    medenko1975 30 April, 2014 @ 7:30 pm

why would you buy digital games for PS4 around 20€? MGS is 17,99 quid on base.com, Rayman Legends was 17,99 at game.co.uk and amazon…..you can re-sell both….digitally you can’t….anyone else considering this at all? i buy digitally games who are at least 25-50% cheaper then preowned ones….like this sale for example, getting:
SPLINTER CELL TRILOGY + PRINCE OF PERSIA TRILOGY….

Veritere 30 April, 2014 @ 1:46 pm   41

Lol, 40€ for South Park… got it for under 30€ from Game.uk :P Anyway, might pick up some of the Rayman games, specially Legends… those are some competitive prices :D

Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 1:49 pm   42

Is Persona4Golden price supposed to be some kind of joke? It is not sale at all, it is normal price of retail version in many internet shops! Why Sony Europe is treating US customers like second-rate customers? Do you think we are fools?! Or what?! I said it before if you are going to make oh-so-great deals with price as high as normal retail boxed version than better don’t waste OUR TIME! I know it is not you guys who set prices… but you are letting developers/publishers treat us like second-rate customers! Say NO! “WE DON”T WANT TO GIVE OUR DEAR CUSTOMERS DEALS LIKE THIS, CHANGE IT OR ELSE WE WON”T WORK WITH YOU ANYMORE”.

You guys can change it! Please… or else we will always stay second-rate customers.

    JFCCMcDondy 30 April, 2014 @ 1:53 pm

“Why Sony Europe is treating US customers like second-rate customers? Do you think we are fools?! ”

    no limit top lol

    bubble_boy01 30 April, 2014 @ 1:58 pm

You expect Sony Europe to not work with SquareEnix because they won’t drop the price of Persona4 by another $10?

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 2:06 pm

I know that sounds ridiculous but yes I DO.

Things as are now are way beyond bad, most of deals are simply not worth it and that means that most of times PSN Europe is without any sense. Normal PSN prices are pure madness and probably not many people are willing to buy games 30% more expensive than in normal shop. During “sales” most of prices are just reduces to price we see in normal shop. What is the point of it?! Let’s face without Plus PSN would be long time dead.

And the only way to change it is so that Sony Europe will decide to act. They would be forced in situation in which the only alternative would be loosing european/australian market… do you think they would want it? No! They want our money… and frankly speaking I’m willing to give it them if only they will treat us like a normal customer and not fools.

    Vashetti 30 April, 2014 @ 2:07 pm

Square Enix don’t make the Persona games, lol

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 2:17 pm

    @Vasheti
I think he meant not only Persona4G.
Square-enix many times acted like publisher for EU. In case of P4G it was Nis America (methinks)

    QuietlyWrong 30 April, 2014 @ 2:30 pm

Maybe things are different in Poland but in the UK, that P4G price is a few pounds cheaper than any retail price I can find, especially with the PS+ disccount…

    bubble_boy01 30 April, 2014 @ 2:39 pm

@Vashetti I knew SquareEnix published Persona4 in Eu. Figured it would be the same for P4G but Archacus is right it’s NIS America Inc publish. I’m aware SquareEnix don’t actually make the game, like a lot of games they’re publisher of.

@Archacus I get the frustration. I actually don’t own it yet because living in Aus the prices here are ridiculous even for the normal retail boxed versions and as you say the digital prices aren’t any better. Unfortunately not working with them just means we won’t even get the sales which a lot of us clearly use to buy these games. I think P4G is a bit of an odd one as well, I remember a little while back one of the blog staff saying it wasn’t even considered for a future PS+ title and given it’s amazing reputation I’m fairly sure they would have been approached about it. Clearly it’s still selling well at it’s high price

    BartsBlue 30 April, 2014 @ 2:58 pm

@QuietlyWrong No, it’s not any different in Poland, Archacus is just whining. The retail price is actually almost twice as much as discounted price with PS+, even for used copies on Allegro, Polish eBay equivalent. Poland usually gets the short end of a stick when it comes to prices, but used games are actually much more affordable – not this time, though, probably due to high demand. PSN price is very competitive.

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 3:07 pm

    @QuietlyWrong
No no we Poles were buying games mainly from UK due to the fact that… they were cheaper than in our shops (which also buys from UK). That changed about… month ago… when Super Saver Delivery was taken out, without free shipment buying from UK is without any sense for us. So I kinda do know price for Persona4G :)

So yeah it is 15 pounds right now. So the price is exactly the same as here (but without PLUS)… so would you decide to buy it just 1.5 pounds cheaper but without box? No sense at all.

Yes it is big problem for Poles who do not earn lots of money, for us the prices are just like from any other western country… but when it comes to earning we earn just like most of eastern countries :P

    @bubble_boy
But they wouldn’t want to stop selling their products in Europe! :) That’s the thing I’m talking about. Who would suffer more on closing psn markets for them SONY or publishers? It is clear as sky, that publishers would loose more on this. If they would be threatened like this I’m sure they would be willing to set lower prices. And Sony Europe is acting like this isn’t even problem for them, they agree on everything! “High prices? Sure go ahead! We don’t care”

Sony should act like a man :P and give 2 options:
-say bye bye for our PSN, you will loose ale profits from it
-lower your prices and it will be fine.

    Archacus 30 April, 2014 @ 3:17 pm

    @BartsBlue…
Persona4Golden right now costs 100 zł (81 without Vat) from online shop for Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. 100 zł is 23 euro (3 euro more than here). Buying from Canada or UK would be a lot cheaper.

So no I’m not whining… I advice you to change your shop :/

    @Archacus
The cheapest option to get the game from that big place that sells lots of stuff, works out at €23 when you factor in shipping and the exchange rate. The cheapest option with free shipping, retails for even more than that.

    bubble_boy01 30 April, 2014 @ 3:56 pm

@Archacus I can definitely see the logic in that in regards to the ps3 and ps4, where there is a large installer base. Unfortunately with the PS Vita I think Sony needs to keep as many publishers on-board as possible as there’s this perception that the Vita struggles for games (which I personally don’t agree with, it’s got enough exclusives and is the best way to play a lot of great indie games) and they are willing to bend over backwards to keep them on

    pinkplaybunny 30 April, 2014 @ 4:30 pm

It doesn’t cost £15 in the UK its just over £20 on Amazon. £7 more than this price.

    man_utd_xl 1 May, 2014 @ 1:06 am

I goy my copy of persona 4 golden a few weeks ago from amazon for £20, i looked on a lot of different sites for cheaper prices and that was the cheapest one out there so you can’t find it for £15 in england

Any chance of a discount for Assasins creed IV any time soon Chris???

    Ulvejarl 30 April, 2014 @ 2:13 pm

I have a feeling that ACIV might be on the IGC sometime this year, just like ACIII was last year…

ImoutoPantsu 30 April, 2014 @ 2:15 pm   44

Does this mean we’re not getting the great discounts the US got? :(

Mcbeanstr 30 April, 2014 @ 2:26 pm   45

Geez Sony you sure know how to take my money. Just keep these sales coming :D

mad8vad 30 April, 2014 @ 2:30 pm   46

Hi Chris. Sly Cooper don’t leave IGC today, right?

LordBeloved 30 April, 2014 @ 2:31 pm   47

Is P4G safe to buy? (With regard to PS Plus IGC)

Vlad-Tiberius 30 April, 2014 @ 2:34 pm   48

Whenever a game is offered on discount, can we please have its DLC receive a proportionate discount as well? I’m sure it has been said already, but selling a game for 4-5 pounds while having a single piece of DLC for that game still at 7-8 pounds is ridiculous and also bad for PS Store, since it doesn’t encourage any further sales for that game (take Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier, for example). Steam does it, so why doesn’t PS Store do it as well?

YOman1962 30 April, 2014 @ 2:46 pm   49

I have to say I’ve been really happy with these discounts on the playstation store, almost as good as steam!

    SuperJag86 30 April, 2014 @ 5:26 pm

Yeah they’re really good! Sony have been putting on great sales since Christmas!

Ares_tm 30 April, 2014 @ 3:13 pm   50

Is there are reason, why we get “just” 10% discount for PS Plus members.
I mean in the US Store the PS Plus members get a discount of 50% and that’s a great difference. ;)
50% would be a better deal than 10% and a reason for me to subscribe PSN Plus.

    THE-SCALOP 30 April, 2014 @ 11:39 pm

sure, they US+ subscripers pays more in PS+ fee.

Ohh no’ thats actually the other way around, hence a one year subscription here in Denmark are 70$ (375DKK) in cost and in US a year of PS+ subscription cost 49.99$ (270DKK) that a massive 40% difference.

but what the hell, thats useally the case, when it comes to Denmark and why we caractized as “die dumme dænen” ewen thow we already pay the Worlds highest income-tax and the country that pays most for alle aspects in life, and highest fee pr. citizen to the EU union and so..

anyway its to much, and if the product is the same, the Price should reflect that..

@THE-SCALOP You are right but your income is also higher compared to other countries and you social services like medical and schooling are top notch. Beyond that there are more women then men in your country and that’s a great thing (although it depends on what your preferences are of course) ;-)
But yeah this is a global economy but companies like Sony don’t get they rub people the wrong way if they offer less and charge more for a service. Still there is a possibility to buy they US Plus service and start buying your content there. You save a lot of money but your country is missing their taxes and in the eyes of Sony sales will look bad in Denmark and that can be a reason to not serve your country is well as it does UK (a place where I buy a lot of content from). It’s a double edged sword.
