New on PlayStation Store: MLB 14, Soul Sacrifice Delta, more!

Plus, Conception II and Cel Damage HD make their debuts

After a small delay we’re happy to let MLB 14: The Show for PS4 out into the wild, so get your bat and pitching arm all set for a game of round… I mean baseball!

Soul Sacrifice Delta, an expanded version of last year’s PS Vita action RPG hit is here. Delta boasts additional enemy princesses not as elegant looking as you would otherwise know them, the option to now join the order of Grim and more. Delta includes the full game, so anyone who didn’t jump on last year can do so without any worries.

Also happening this week – a new set of titles enters the Deal of the Week and there are tons of titles on offer in the May Madness deals. Madness, indeed!

Awesome update :D

    solarwind12 14 May, 2014 @ 5:32 pm

Average imo, but good, or should say sensible price for ps4 game, don’t agree you should of said ‘short’ delay though Jawad, delay would of been sufficient, but adding short is not really for you to say, again imo.

ElfMageBex 14 May, 2014 @ 3:02 pm   2

    ElfMageBex 14 May, 2014 @ 3:21 pm

can you find out please because if it isnt coming in time ill have to order it n disk

    WizzNL 14 May, 2014 @ 3:33 pm

Already pre-ordered the retail version for EUR 52,99. I wonder why people even pay EUR 69,99 for a digital copy.

    I3loodthirsty 14 May, 2014 @ 3:33 pm

What a shock uk/eu get shafted yet again.scee might aswell just come out n say screw it we cba giving you ps4 owners pre orders ever.

    ElfMageBex 14 May, 2014 @ 3:51 pm

    AlexAtkinUK 14 May, 2014 @ 6:17 pm

So we get all the bugs of the 1.7 firmware update and miss out on one of the main features? Gee thanks.

    BaneyFunny 15 May, 2014 @ 10:12 am

any reason you are not just buying it on USA psn? its much cheaper too..

BaneyFunny 14 May, 2014 @ 3:05 pm   3

so where is the 100s of games on sale? this is false advertising , why is everyone working for sony so lazy ? sony needs people who work their butt off.

    Xenostar 14 May, 2014 @ 3:12 pm

Seems like your the lazy one, why not look for the sales post that went up today :)

    BaneyFunny 14 May, 2014 @ 3:15 pm

    100s means 200-300 gams on sale :)

    Rastamadeus 14 May, 2014 @ 3:15 pm

Try actually looking before making yourself seem daft.

    OpelManiac93 14 May, 2014 @ 3:22 pm

maybe you were to lazy to check the store? the update was online at least an hour before this post

    BaneyFunny 14 May, 2014 @ 3:34 pm

lol, i will say it once again but then it should be enough. It said HUNDRETS of games on sale, when really its 104. So people were expecting more as HUNDRETS would mean at least 200 or 300.

Hi Jawad Ashraf , can you make available Hogs of War PsOne Classic game for EU PSN Market ? The US PSN have already…

Omisnad 14 May, 2014 @ 3:05 pm   5

… and again no pinball arcade dlc (ps4/ps3/vita)

The DLC for Football Manager is awful. Pay to win anyone?

I3loodthirsty 14 May, 2014 @ 3:06 pm   7

Any word on when/if uk/eu ps4 owners will get pre orders for watchdogs or the last of us, the us ps4 store has had them for over a month i was hoping we would of got at least one by now but as per usual we get jack.

the pre download feature that we got in the last system update is a non feature for us with the last of games to pre order.

ThugETH 14 May, 2014 @ 3:07 pm   8

Damn thought the YT app was for PS4 for a minute :(
Nothing for me this week!

Lance_87 14 May, 2014 @ 3:08 pm   9

Serious Sam 3! Totally unexpected. Does it come with all updates and DLC (especially Jewel of the Nile) from the PC version already bundled or it’s just the base game?

EternalChaos72 14 May, 2014 @ 3:08 pm   10

Jawad any update regarding capcom avatars or lightning returns avatars?

    Izorpo 14 May, 2014 @ 3:23 pm

According to a Japanese guy I met on Monster Hunter 3 HD, Capcom and Sony have issues…oddly though that seemingly only affects SCEE as the US has Sengoku Basara avatars, not to mention loads of others to make you wince and well Japan has Dragon’s Dogma Quest on vita and oh what’s that Monster Hunter Frontier G, and enough avatars to make you think you were in Capcomland

A better question might be what did SCEE do to tick Capcom off

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:55 pm

Not only that, according to insider info it’s a big pain period for companies to put avatars on the store, they have to go through a lot of forms and stuff.

Which I don’t understand why Sony EU makes it so complicated. It takes no more than a couple of minutes (unless you’re really bad with Photoshop) to create an avatar out of existing art and for 25 cents each, even if 5-10 cents goes to Sony, is easy money.

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 4:00 pm

And yet, almost every week Populus Media pollute the store space with their blasted €1,19 (!!!!) avatars that nobody buys.

ScooterMix 14 May, 2014 @ 3:08 pm   11

Well still good update Serious Same 3 didnt see that coming aslo good see Cell demage back in HD means psn team can take ps2 vision off but any trials this week and demos well nope thx jaward thx aswer.

madmanwithabox12 14 May, 2014 @ 3:10 pm   12

Hi Jawad, thanks for the update. Nothing for me this week, but I do have an issue I’d like to raise.

Just wondering, I brought this up in the weekly recap post, but are there any plans to clean up the Vita store at all? At the moment it’s a bit of a mess.

1) There’s a lot of “invisible” games. When you got to all Vita games you don’t get all Vita games at all. Off the top of my head I can name A-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, the outdated FIFA titles, LEGO Legends of Chima (possibly some of the other LEGO games too), Hotline Miami, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, The Sly Trilogy and one of the Atelier games are all missing. They can be found with the search function, but what about new Vita owners who don’t know that? They might not know that a game they like is readily available to download because it doesn’t appear under “all” Vita games.

2) There are apps and add-ons cluttering the all Vita games section. GTA5 iFruit, Killzone art book, an Invizimals add-on etc. It doesn’t look very tidy and they shouldn’t be there since they’re not Vita games.

3) Sly Cooper Thieves in Time is listed twice in a row. One is free (cross-buy) the other is to purchase. Again they shouldn’t be there, it just looks messy.

Please understand I’m only saying this because I care, but right now the Vita store isn’t very convenient to navigate. It would be nice if this was all cleared up for a nicer experience when browsing the Vita store.

Thanks.

ghost recon raven strike dlc has supposedly been on sale for the last 2 weeks, yet disappeared from the store on the day the sale began, this must be about my 10th post on these forums regarding this, could somebody please reply and let me know whats going on?

    Barcardi1908 14 May, 2014 @ 4:30 pm

I give up, for the last 2 weeks i’ve been trying to get a response from someone on this blog and from help@ukplaystation, not one single response in that time, well done for bringing customer service to a whole new level!!

Good price for MLB the show :) Thats how you make me buy digital games ;)

vonhammer 14 May, 2014 @ 3:14 pm   16

MLB PS4 £38.49. Think I’ll buy at that price. Hope all Sony PS4 games hit that price again, It’s why I went digital towards the end of my PS3 usage.

ramyeon1989 14 May, 2014 @ 3:15 pm   17

The Soul Sacrifice Delta post said it comes bundled with exclusive costumes and accessories for the first 4 weeks but I didn’t get any of these. Does something have to be done to unlock them?

    MaxiM_82 14 May, 2014 @ 6:05 pm

Same here. I think we might have a problem with the store – again. Can anyone answer to this?

    MaxiM_82 14 May, 2014 @ 6:08 pm

Nevermind. I forgot you get extra items the same way as in Soul Sacrifice. You need to visit Cassus the Flunky on the bazaar :)

Wraxend 14 May, 2014 @ 3:15 pm   18

Any chance Transistor will be up for pre-order before next week?

madmanwithabox12 14 May, 2014 @ 3:16 pm   19

Also, sorry to be a pest, but this one’s been bugging me.

Konami announced Silent Hill Origins and Shattered Memories PSP versions were coming to the store and emphasised that they would be for Vita. What happens next? They get here and they’re only PSP compatible (which really makes me scratch my head, you should be steering people away from the PSP at this point and toward the Vita) so what’s the deal with that? Is this going to be fixed? Because Konami expressly said they were coming to Vita, so somethings gone horribly wrong somewhere down the pipeline.

    left4bread3 14 May, 2014 @ 4:00 pm

This. I’ve waited forever for those 2 titles to be released here in EU and they don’t work on vita. Their US counterparts do which is odd or most likely lazy on SCEEs part.

Izorpo 14 May, 2014 @ 3:18 pm   20

uhhh the price on Conception II is pretty poor, I bought the CE version for £29.95 and that included postage. I’m guessing when Mind 0 releases it will have the same price – good thing I thought to import that and as Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is now dropping in price, guess I will import that after Mind 0 arrives.

    Shadowdragoon 15 May, 2014 @ 10:37 am

Game companies really need to learn to stop overcharging EU countries.
one of the bigger scams going.

RemyX-1988 14 May, 2014 @ 3:19 pm   21

Sad to see “Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars” being a digital-only release in Europe. Won’t buy it because of that reason.

    Shadowdragoon 15 May, 2014 @ 10:38 am

Its rather sad that atlus are giving us the middlefinger on this, why cant they just release a boxed edition here too?

    spikkle 19 May, 2014 @ 10:58 pm

Costs to much I expect. Still surely a digital release is better than no release at all?

Archacus 14 May, 2014 @ 3:19 pm   22

1. Get us Japan imports games that landed on US PSN this week. You can’t say that you have problems with right to those titles, can you?

2. Do not support games that have physical release in USA and have only digital version in Europe. Buying it for 40 EUR means you will pay more and get less (day 1 collector edition was cheaper). Do NOT TOLERATE Discirimination.

Faustofausto 14 May, 2014 @ 3:19 pm   23

Dear PS Plus Subscribers, have you noticed, If you’re a Plus member since 2012, in December you get the LIMBO for PS3, as a part of the IGC. A few months later, the Vita version released and it was free, because of the Cross Buy feature. Now if you check the your download list, the LIMBO is missing, and if you check in the Store, it’s 7.99GBP!
Dear Sony, if I get a game, that part of the IGC, it should be free, until I have a subscription, isn’t it? So how could it be that I have to pay for the LIMBO while I have a Plus subscription?!

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:26 pm

I know exactly what you’re talking about, the company who made Limbo actually reversed that IGC deal. I guess Sony didn’t want to offend them by not listening.

    BaneyFunny 14 May, 2014 @ 3:37 pm

thats pretty horrible , if a game is yours it should stay yours.

    Faustofausto 14 May, 2014 @ 3:47 pm

Wow, this is a joke? This is, how should work the IGC:
“If you’ve downloaded a game or added it to your download list before it is removed from the IGC, you will be able to play it for as long as you are a member of PlayStation®Plus”

    solarwind12 14 May, 2014 @ 6:54 pm

Sure about this?. according to Fred on weekend round up, we keep EVERY plus game! so you really should post that in this weekends round up.
btw. i reported Limbo, Tomb Raider Underworld and WipeoutHD as missing from downloads a few weeks ago, Fred replied saying he’d pass it on to relevant people. Also it is Not just me missing these plus games, i notice many posts regarding these and others on the ps forums, so there is a big problem, but IF this Limbo business is actually true then please mention it further, a link or address of info would help as well.

    hayzink 15 May, 2014 @ 3:16 pm

this cant be happening to everyone, i dont have limbo on my vita atm and as a result of this post i went to the store on my vita to check and limbo is both in my download list and coming up as purchased when i use the search function.

the only game that ever vanished from my list was wipeout hd and when i called sony they applied a voucher as if i had bought it again to get it back on my dl list.

zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:20 pm   24

@ JAWAD: Twisted Metal PS3 is still missing from the webstore, why’s that?

    ScooterMix 14 May, 2014 @ 3:27 pm

really they shouldnt take any old games off store unless they dont own rights games anymore.

    ScooterMix 14 May, 2014 @ 3:30 pm

unless took off the store because dont own rights anymore

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:34 pm

@Scooter: Yeah, true. There’s still many improvements the store could have; more categories like the US store has and content up to par with other regions.

Arngrim1 14 May, 2014 @ 3:22 pm   25

Good to see Bamco releasing the Jojo dlc at a reasonable price, was expecting at least £4 per character. :)

Sora9669 14 May, 2014 @ 3:22 pm   26

FINAL FANTASY ORIGINS and FINAL FANTASY IV PSOne Classics please?

hallben 14 May, 2014 @ 3:23 pm   27

Watch_Dogs and Transistor Pre-Orders!

Basically, where are they?

I would really like to be able to pre-order these on the UK PSN store but there is no sign even though they are both available on the US PSN store and are available on the same day in the UK.

Surely this would be an easy thing to implement.

I will post the same thing in every relevant story until we get an answer!

“Basically, where are they” basic answer is scee cba giving them to us.we are lucky if we get a reply to a question on here so expecting anything more from the scee “team” is wishful thinking lol

MLB 14 for €44.99. Why can’t all Sony games cost this much at launch?

    AndWes 16 May, 2014 @ 1:48 pm

Probably because Sony knows that MLB isn’t that popular for the normal European and they hope more folks that normally don’t buy the game will do it if they lower the price. It’s a nice move from Sony anyway.

Tuulenpoika 14 May, 2014 @ 3:27 pm   29

Nice update, especially with the monthly sale. But I hope I could ask you some other questions this way.

1) When will the Vita Slim become available for the rest of the Europe outside UK? I would really like to buy one already.
2) Will there be some sort of system transfer possibility from older Vita model to a new one, that transfers everything, even console’s trophy data, on the other console? If it would store the data only on PSN account, it wouldn’t be a problem, but since it also keeps system-specific data, I wouldn’t want to have an incomplete trophy data on my console just because I earned trophies on my older console.
3) Since Europe’s getting so many niche Vita games as digital-only releases, how about making the memory cards less expensive?
4) Any possibility to make Vita games’ save data separate files like with PSP? It would be way better than to store full games on computer just to keep the saves if one doesn’t fancy keeping a huge game on memory card just to keep the save file in there.
5) Any chance of seeing some Sony-published PSP games on PSN that aren’t still there, even though they have seen a physical release in Europe? Parappa comes to mind. Or any possibility of releasing some PSP games only found in US PSN as some sort of import releases like with some of the PS1 games you have brought over?

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:31 pm

And on that note, give us the 64GB card that’s only available in Japan. Should also be priced reasonably.

The 3DS uses standard SD cards up to 128GB and they don’t even have as many games compared to the Vita. Also, their games have smaller filesizes in general.

I have so many PS+ and purchased games that don’t even fit on my 32GB card. :/

    spikkle 19 May, 2014 @ 11:01 pm

Coincidentally it is the lack of an affordable 64GB memory card that is making me hesitant to get a Vita. I really want one, but I’m gonna need a lot of memory!

Always makes me laugh when, at places like GAME, it boasts about how the Vita Slim has a 1GB built in memory as if its a good thing! That doesn’t cover anything!

croze343 14 May, 2014 @ 3:28 pm   30

Conception 2 $58.95
Why is this now becoming a standard price for vita games? This is ridiculous the u.s blog would freak out if vita games started costing $45 instead of $40. I would like some explanation about this trend because NIS has completely ignored me when I enquired about demon gaze being priced at $58.95

    BaneyFunny 14 May, 2014 @ 3:38 pm

you realize 99 of 100 people in this blog have no idea about australian dollars..

    zalwelgoedgaan 14 May, 2014 @ 3:43 pm

@Baney: They’re still part of the PAL region, though. And out of all the PAL regions, they get shafted the most. It’s been like that since gaming started, they have to wait longer and pay premium and for many years they censored games or straight up banned them.

Then again, they have kangaroos and koalas, so that kind of balances things out.

    Archacus 14 May, 2014 @ 5:40 pm

    @zelwelgoedgaan

I’ve just remembered old article I found on internet:
    gamekeysnow.com/blog/how-many-hours-do-you-have-to-work-to-buy-a-pc-game

In Australia you need to work 3 hours to buy new game….
In Poland you need to work 8.36 hours to buy new game….

So yeah Australian have hard time with SCEE… but I think they are not the only one here :P We all have hard time with SCEE. But yeah I also feel bad about Australians… the only thing we can do is -> complain as much as we can :P

THUNDERCAT1973 14 May, 2014 @ 3:35 pm   31

So when are the new Amazing Spiderman DLC suits coming to the EU store, US store has had them for two weeks now.

    Jawad Ashraf 14 May, 2014 @ 3:42 pm

Not for a few weeks at least for EU.

    solarwind12 14 May, 2014 @ 7:05 pm

The answer here is typical of what many people seem to have been noticing lately, EU are just a afterthought it seems, am not bothered about spiderman itself, but it is yet another victim of US special treatment. this is just so wrong, just because thats how it had to be a while back, there should be no excuse for this stuff happening today, i really wonder what would happen if sen prevented access to other regions stores, even if it was only for future content, ie you keep whatever you’d already bought. like to see this blog then.

(((Awesome update)))

mdogg91 14 May, 2014 @ 3:48 pm   34

Jawad can your team negotiate or whatever on bringing the rest of their PSP & PS One games to the Vita as there is a fair number on the store which I paid for but are still incompatible and have been for the past 2 years.

PSP Sims 2 Pets, Sims 2 Castaway, Need for Speed
PS1 Theme Hospital, Theme Park, Populous, Future Cop LAPD

And most likely many more

THUNDERCAT1973 14 May, 2014 @ 3:56 pm   35

Jawad Ashraf any idea when one piece pirate warriors 2 will be on ale again, really should of picked it up last time.

    solarwind12 14 May, 2014 @ 7:13 pm

i think there going to a party on friday night, but not sure if they drink ale or spirits…
think you really should of got it last time, as unless it enters igc i doubt it will enter anything else anytime soon. Still maybe if they drink enough rum on friday.

left4bread3 14 May, 2014 @ 3:56 pm   36

So Silent Hill Shattered Memories and SH Origins finally arrived a few weeks ago. However to my immense dissapointment they don’t work on my vita… which is truly odd since their US counterparts do. Get. It. Fixed.

cowbanana 14 May, 2014 @ 5:31 pm   44

The Vita PSN infrastructure and/or the Vita’s firmware is ridiculously slow/buggy/broken. I bought a Vita day-1 and for a long time I had no problems with downloading from PSN directly on to the Vita. Something changed a while ago, It could have been one of the latest firmware upgrades, though I’m not sure… Now all big downloads stop all the time and I have to babysit them to get them done. On top that I get excruciatingly slow download speeds, usually a little slower than 1 MB/s. I have a 60 Mbit fiber optic line! Steam and other services have no problems feeding me 7 MB/s for speedy downloads. Please fix this sad situation, Sony. Though I get the feeling that the Vita is completely unloved by SCEE and it’s relegated to some low priority on PSN and throughout the SCEE orginazation. The current PSN experience on the Vita is abysmal – are you going to fix this?

cowbanana 14 May, 2014 @ 5:37 pm   45

Ugh… getting 1 megabyte every 15 seconds now, trying to download Soul Sacrifice Delta :( PSN is abysmal!

Starting a download from Steam… and presto, 7.5 megabytes flowing straight onto my PC. All from the same Wi-Fi network.

    HeelPunk 14 May, 2014 @ 5:45 pm

Yeh ps vita download speeds are disgracefully bad and ps3 isnt much better but psn is famous for being slow. this really needs fixing

    BaneyFunny 15 May, 2014 @ 10:13 am

they havent worked on improving psn or the download system at all for years…

cowbanana 14 May, 2014 @ 5:39 pm   46

7.5 megabytes *per second* (should be added to my comment above) Why can’t we edit posts on this blog?

    HeelPunk 14 May, 2014 @ 5:55 pm

Yeh lets us edit our comments.. its annoying when you notice a mistake you cant fix in a comment you have already posted. its just dumb that you cant edit your comments

monoliet 14 May, 2014 @ 5:50 pm   47

update ps3 store got nowh no entry !!!!
you do maintenance ?

very slow indeed on ps3 + vita

LAA612 14 May, 2014 @ 6:03 pm   48

Ah, didn’t think Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 3 would release on Vita today… oh well… Hopefully this month at least… If they can release it day 1 on iOS, I’d expect the same for Vita (Though its probably closer to the console version than the mobile version).
Other than that great update. Nice surprise to see Soul Sacrifice Delta, forgot all about that!

Cha0s00789 14 May, 2014 @ 6:08 pm   49

Will we see Dustforce DLC Alpha Map Pack for EU? Also, no XBlaze or Ragnarork Oydessy Ace demo for EU?

Also, to add to the invisible games comment above, there’s also a number of invisible DLC as well as demos (Dead or Alive 5+ for example) in the store that you have to search for for them to show up or only available if you select the game and then see ‘Trial’ below the ‘Buy’ option.

flashmozzg_vt 14 May, 2014 @ 6:10 pm   50

Could you please check if you haven’t forgotten to make Dragon’s Crown Vita version available in Russia (when ps3 already is).
