Metro Redux is coming to PS4: Two great shooters, 1080p, 60fps

Check out the first screens for 4A Games’ post-apocalyptic FPS collection

I could say how excited we are to be showing you this trailer, but I have an idea of what you really want to know… so let’s just cut to the chase. Metro Redux runs at 1080p, 60FPS on PlayStation 4. We had to sneak the PS4 development kits into Kiev to make it happen, but we wholeheartedly think it was worth it.

Metro Redux includes Metro 2033 (for the first time ever on a PlayStation platform) and Metro: Last Light, remastered for PlayStation 4, with all the gameplay, AI, gunplay, and graphical improvements we added in Last Light now applied to both games.

You’ll be able to download each game – Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux – from PlayStation Store – or if you prefer, pick up the boxed Metro Redux double pack. Expect to hear a lot more news from us between now and release later this summer! In the meantime, please enjoy our screens of the game!

Do we have a final price for the double pack and seperate digital products in UK and EU?

    Henkmeister 22 May, 2014 @ 4:21 pm

US is 25 dollars a pop, 50 bucks for the box with both games. It will propbably be 1:1.

According to Official Announcement Gameplay Trailer the pricing is $24.99/€19.99/£15.99 each.

Shut up and take my money!

I welcome this greatly. I played 2033 on PC, takes a total beast to run, so we’ll be able to see in its full glory.

really enjoyed Metro Last Light when it was free with PS Plus, so might give this bundle a little look for sure :). being a Playstationer i hadnt the chance to play 2033, which sounds pretty good too 8).

Holy hell I am gonna get this and rub my nipples all over it! :D

Unfortunately I never finished the original Metro due to the lousy hit detection, hopefully this will be addressed in the Redux?
Also my PC could barely run last light so I gave up very early in the game.

Will definitely pick this up!

Never got to play these games. Well I got to play Metro 2033 but my PC was a bit weak so gave up after 1 hour. Will get this collection.

I like how being 1080p and run at 60fps are game features now. since after the xbox one cant run most games on it :{P

ps4 ftw

Metro last light was a great game. Sadly I bought a PS4 half ways through my first play through and never went back to the PS3. So now I can finally finish it. You have my money. Can’t wait to play the first game as well.

xampage 22 May, 2014 @ 8:48 pm   18

Not really a fan of these re-releases, but it’s nice that they’re at least being priced fairly. 19,99€ a pop is definitely appropriate. As opposed to the ‘Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition’ which is 59,99€.:S

TiagoPT 23 May, 2014 @ 2:11 pm   21

Glad they are selling them separately for £15, I already played 2033 on PC.

pearl_bunny 24 May, 2014 @ 4:22 am   22

wow two remastered crappy games… why dont you make something new? we need alternatives to cod and bf

MadDogxIRLx 24 May, 2014 @ 1:13 pm   23

Super excited about this, can’t wait… Hoping it comes with the DLC’s like The Last of Us will be doing…

Assassin-_-MerKz 25 May, 2014 @ 2:52 pm   24

Yes Please never played it on ps3. but Gamestop Ireland is charging 75 for games now like The Last of Us ps4, COD Advanced Warfare and Watch Dogs hope its not 75 for this

MadDogxIRLx 25 May, 2014 @ 7:13 pm   25

@Assassin-_-MerKz i wouldn’t worry about that as yet, it’s just Gamestop advertising the game, 75 Euro would be way 2much for this, so i don’t think we’ll be paying like that for a box set of this, more like 50 Euro at max.. might be better to simply d/load it from PS Store.. Time will tell, but can’t wait…..

hopefully it wont be like the last Metro, where the Ai constantly got stuck and you were able to walk right by them.
