One of the best sales I have seen and much better than US like most weeks. Thanks.

Now nobody complain today lets do this.

    gta5rockt 2 July, 2014 @ 1:12 pm

Now Jawad better beat this sale in the store update with his new July sale :D

    X_Weapon 2 July, 2014 @ 2:01 pm

Agree. If you missed some titles in the past few years now is the chance

    centricbyte 2 July, 2014 @ 4:42 pm

Would agree if the games I wanted were actually available in my country. Why so many games unavailable in New Zealand? And thanks to Sony making it an absolute pain in the ass to switch accounts on the vita, I can’t go and create another account to purchase these games…

    Chinosharingan 3 July, 2014 @ 3:28 am

I agree aleast they should add Siren Blood Curse.

gta5rockt 2 July, 2014 @ 11:33 am   2

Very amazing sale :)

Awesome sale, been waiting for X/X-2 and P3P!

Really great sale here Chris, excellent work to you and the team. I’ll be grabbing X/X-2 for sure!

(No PS4 games is understandable in this case, there aren’t many Japanese PS4 titles! Though MGSV GZ would have been nice, USA got a discount on that a few weeks back)

Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 11:38 am   5

Actualy very good sale for me… I was waiting to grab some FF games again to rebuild my collection that I had on account that I was sharing with my brother… Also probably will grab Persona 3

Excuse me for asking here but Mr. Nick Accoridno advised me to ask on blog. Would you be so kind to ask someone from SCEE staff will we get Freedom Wars retail version? It is really important for some of us… it is online game so most probably we won’t be able to buy it from US in worst case scenario… so yeah it is important.

    TeddyBearTwinkle 2 July, 2014 @ 4:13 pm

Freedom Wars not on store anytime soon

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 5:35 pm

    @TeddyBearTwinkle
It is coming this year, probably end of the year. So it is high time to know details like whether we will get retail edition or not. If retail edition for both americas was already confirmed than in my humble opinion we should also get to know details like that.

It is important for some of us.

Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 11:39 am   6

Oh and any chances for Valkyria Chronicles 2 anytime soon? was hoping for it to appear on japan sale :/

Sora9669 2 July, 2014 @ 11:40 am   7

Where are the PSOne Classics of Final Fantasy I, II and IV? Really want them on PS3.

zalwelgoedgaan 2 July, 2014 @ 11:42 am   8

Lots of titles, but everything I’m interested in I already bought, so eh… :/

Thats a really nice sale! Lots of good stuff! Lots of stuff to pick up. Thanks!

NorthernFusion 2 July, 2014 @ 11:43 am   10

This is actually an amazing sale. Might pick up X,X-2 for PS3, even if I already have it for Vita!

Envirasu 2 July, 2014 @ 11:43 am   11

Lots of good stuff here! Sadly I already own every game from the list that I’m interested in, though thanks to this sale I’m now aware that Parasite Eve 2 is on the Store. That’s my afternoon sorted.

Also, that Resident Evil bundle is great. If anyone’s interested in getting into the series and you’re a fan of survival horror games, grab that bundle. Operation Raccoon City is truly naff (a squad-based shooter with no couch co-op? really?), but the majority of games in that collection are timeless classics. Even the less enjoyable games (RE5/6) are amazing fun when played with a friend.

Keep up the good work, Chris/PS Store Team.

Sleeperism 2 July, 2014 @ 11:44 am   12

Was hoping for street fighter x tekken for the vita seen as i missed it when it was on ps+

Faustofausto 2 July, 2014 @ 11:45 am   13

Sou Salcrifice Delta discount, please! :)

Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 11:45 am   14

Oh and one more thing again… any news about Atelier?

    Envirasu 2 July, 2014 @ 11:47 am

Do you mean Rorona Plus? Koei Tecmo stated on Twitter that it will be on the Store with today’s update.

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 11:54 am

    @Envirasu
Oh ok I don’t have twitter so I didn’t know. Thank you.

Faustofausto 2 July, 2014 @ 11:45 am   15

Soul Sacrifice Delta discount, please! :)

KILLO31 2 July, 2014 @ 11:51 am   16

Demon Souls shall be mine!

Cloud_AC 2 July, 2014 @ 11:51 am   17

Another Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City sale and yet the DLC are still overpriced.
Great sale though. Might grab some of those digital-only titles.

WearingFin 2 July, 2014 @ 11:51 am   18

No IX? Is it an oversight? Is it to help our eyes from the sight of so many Final Fantasy games on sale? A bit like staring into an eclipse? That kind of thing? Nice sale though, it’s great to see the PSP Persona titles on sale, I’ll definitely have to pick those up tomorrow.

    CalamityCorp 2 July, 2014 @ 4:50 pm

I was wondering the exact same thing, it is the only FF I am interested in to play on my Vita.

zero_light 2 July, 2014 @ 11:52 am   19

Very disappointing sale if you don’t own a PS3. Nothing for PS4? And the Vita titles, aside from FF X/2, is primarily either stuff we already have from PS+ or PSP games.

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 12:02 pm

Hmmm about Vita yeah… but I think that there is no enough content for that…

well they could go with Atelier discount… and the rest… well nothing

Conception II – from Atlus there is no way in hell they would do something good for EU aslo new title
Mind 0 – Aksysgames there is no way in hell they would do something good for EU also new title
Zero Escape… maybe yeah… it would be good for it to appear again
Person4G – way too many times, and the price every time is so-so
    Deception – new title
    Danganronpa – “new” title
Ys… that could be put on sale

Child of light will be probably in weekly sales like on US blog (nice price, but I will be grabbing retail)

I kinda don’t care (personal opinion) about vita game sales (as vita games not psp) because I’d rather to buy retail edition… but yeah I get it that some people don’t care about it.

But for me (personal opinion)… many of PSP games and PS one games are way better than some Vita titles… so well..

    NorthernFusion 2 July, 2014 @ 12:34 pm

Yeah, I’m kinda hoping they do something ridiculous for Atelier at some point, I’d jump into that series easily if the price was right.

    Chungles 2 July, 2014 @ 1:42 pm

And no games for Xbox owners either. Do Sony simply not care about those of us with ridiculous expectations?

    TeddyBearTwinkle 2 July, 2014 @ 4:14 pm

Archacus you spam too much STOP IT no onder people are talking about you

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 5:43 pm

    @TeddyBearTwinkle
Lad chill out a bit… are you on drugs or something? Few days ago you started actively posting on blog blabbering various things… you better behave kid, mkay? And write nice apology to Ms. Florence… it is childish to make fun of somebody’s else name.

Decent sale, only one game interests me though: Final Fantasy X/X-2

Problem with that one: No cross-buy.
Would be instant buy with cross-buy, or if they would at least make a nice bundle for this sale. I’d even pay a little on top for that bundle.
Why is there never any creativity during sales, from which everyone would benefit? Just mostly the standard -50% combined with a random -10% for Plus.

Steam makes an event out of their sales, with constantly new ideas. Like the team race during their recent summer sale.
And naturally there you’ll find bundles galore, while even separate DLCs are a rarer sight than Yetis, during PSN sales. ;)

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 12:08 pm

Yeah I agree with that bundle thingy… it would be both good for digital and retail edition.

Frankly speaking I was kinda suprised that there is no retail bundle for FF X/X-2… kinda weird decision for me. Ow well… already grabed PS3 edition now I wait for chance to grab Vita… and than I will start playing once again. (I’ve already spent over 1000-1200 hours on FFX… and that’s not joke… love this game)

But hey… it is not good idea to “complain” and say about PC events on PS blog… some pesky people might complain about you complaining.;)

Ah, I doubt that I have anything to fear! ;)
I didn’t complain or require price parity with Steam, I only made 100% sensible, realistic & constructive suggestions for improvements.

Okay, that was enough self-laudation … for now. :P

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 12:30 pm

Ha! But yeah I agree… some nice event that keeps you tied to official store page would be kinda good idea.

For example… hmmm…. every 12h new bundle… it’s really good idea for them to make more bundles that have slightly lower prices. Like Ys-bundle, FF-SNES bundle, FF-PS one bundle, Valkyria Chronicles bundle, SE not FF bundle… sport bundle, fights bundle… etc

Something like FF VII, FF VIII, FF IX bundle for dunno. 10-12EUR? really nice idea.

Ah, every 12hours would be too frequent for the console users. See the complaints during the holiday sales, when offers “only” lasted 48 hours.

For a start it would be more than enough if they would introduce slogans, use them as hashtags. As #BiginJapansale for example.
Maybe combine that with some kind of weekly poll. Most RTs for sale option 1 results in option 1 going on sale the next week or otherwise.
There are endless opportunities, not all of them require a huge effort or savvy tech infrastructures. Just the willingness to try something new.

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 1:07 pm

    @Golwar
Thats the case to prepare customers for that. If they will know that something good might be coming thay will just log in just in time as every PC users do.

Flash sales are generally very good marketing method. It creates pressure on customer, it gives less time for customer to decide whether he really wants and needs a product… so it is more probable that he will under the pressure of time just buy it. (frankly speaking even if I know it… it still is working on me from time to time :P)

And one more thing short frequency results usually in customer spending more time on store page… and the more he spends the bigger chance for him to buy something.

About hasthags… I’m not sure… I’m not a big fan of social media… and I’d rather use applications and software that they created. They can just make big countdown to sale… like for example every day all Vita users will get system message saying “x days to grand sale”. On PS3 and PS4 it is even easier to do as there is a lot of space for them to use on advertising.

Also polls are great idea… the more the better.

But that’s just my opinion, mkay?

el_rezzo 2 July, 2014 @ 12:02 pm   21

Fantastic sale! Can’t complain here! Really glad to see FFX/X2 HD already :)

Nightmare966 2 July, 2014 @ 12:06 pm   22

Well, looks like DOA5: Ultimate FINALLY gets a discount. And Razor’s Edge as well.

Thanks for this sale guys, looks like I better start saving :P

mr-blue1978 2 July, 2014 @ 12:08 pm   23

Very nice sale, i already have Final Fantasy X/X-2 but it’s a good price drop.

So this time I’ll buy Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, it’s a good buy. For that price i don’t have to worry if it comes on Plus later on. On a previous sale Chris said it wasn’t planned to come to Plus but also mentioned that it could happen… but that was before the Plus lineup change.

Joolesasher 2 July, 2014 @ 12:12 pm   24

I have a feeling Ni no Kuni is a trap…

It’s not about the money (definately not a lot for what I’ve heard is an amazing game), but the feeling when IGC is renewed and you already have the game. It’s a dagger to your happy expectations.

    NorthernFusion 2 July, 2014 @ 12:32 pm

At least you’d own it without Plus though.

    Terarded 2 July, 2014 @ 12:35 pm

Checked the IGC lately? PS3 gets about as much love as an alley cat. i think your safe.

    pinkplaybunny 2 July, 2014 @ 1:01 pm

Its been on sale so many times already this year that i’m assuming they can’t get it for us for Free, so really cheap is the best they will offer :-)

    mr-blue1978 2 July, 2014 @ 3:47 pm

As I said before, the last time Ni No Kuni was on sale Chris said that it wasn’t planned to join IGC at that time, but it wasn’t out of the picture for the future. But since that, the IGC lineup and number of games changed, so i don’t think it will happen, but maybe Chris can shed some light on it.

On the other hand it’s only 4,99€ and that is a great price for the game, even if it enters IGC in a near future it’s not a great loss. I’m buyin it!

    supersmith2500 2 July, 2014 @ 10:07 pm

I think Ni no Kuni is safe. We didn’t have much games from Bandai Namco anyways.

pinkplaybunny 2 July, 2014 @ 12:12 pm   25

Chris I officially love you! I’m flying to the US later this month and was hoping Final Fantasy X-X2 was going to be on sale before then for my vita on the flight, you have just made my day :-)

CrimsonSamurai 2 July, 2014 @ 12:14 pm   26

Are we ever going to see a DLC sale again all the sales of late are only of any use to people who don’ t buy games just wait for them to be free on plus or discounted in a sale. What about the people that buy games at retail and just need the DLC which is getting more and more expensive, every week USA has some type of DLC in a sale and every week we get nothing!!! eg dead or alive dlc, metal gear rising dlc both of which USA has had even though they have also had discount/free game???

ginjuice85 2 July, 2014 @ 12:14 pm   27

Persona 2&3 bundle!!

Skookie30 2 July, 2014 @ 12:15 pm   28

How about giving me the 4 items that i bought £46.66 & replace New store back to Old fast error free blue store.

the bank took out £46.66. i had 2 errors when i bought them after the 2 errors has pass i try to buy them again but i got the invaild card because the funds is gone.

    hitman_stephen 2 July, 2014 @ 1:40 pm

£4(6.66) Well theres your problem. You made a purchase deal with the devil.

OrbitalShark 2 July, 2014 @ 12:16 pm   29

Will not allow purchase of RESIDENT EVIL CODE: Veronica X due to already having PlayStation Plus? Well that’s retarded, where’s my PS Plus discount?

    gta5rockt 2 July, 2014 @ 1:11 pm

This seems like a bad deal anyways, wasnt Veronica X AND RE4 bundle FOR THE SAME PRICE a couple of weeks ago only? Here you seem to get only Veronica X

Noisepurge 2 July, 2014 @ 12:17 pm   30

Prinny games and Ys should be on sale one of these years? :E plz! :D

Serpantino 2 July, 2014 @ 12:18 pm   31

A lot of stuff that’s been on sale over and over again in the past, at higher prices than they were in the past… again. This isn’t a good sale at all, this is us paying for the superior service and selection the usa gets.

Why are games like Tactics Ogre, Lunar Silver star harmony & Klonoa never on sale?

Buying a PS4 was the worst decision I’ve ever made…

You must have one amazingly carefree life then.

    andraste123 2 July, 2014 @ 1:03 pm

Please stop trolling, I am sick of seeing your negative comments on every topic there is.

    hitman_stephen 2 July, 2014 @ 1:39 pm

It’s time will come :) Don’t worry, then you’l be saying i’m glad i got a ps4 whilst the rest of us are like, wish we had a ps4 :(

    THUNDERCAT1973 2 July, 2014 @ 1:45 pm

well sell and get a xbox one then, but you still moan about that. i had the sense like a lot of others not to sell my ps3 when i got my ps4.

1 it always takes time for a new console to get a good games library
2 still plenty of stuff coming for ps3

    WearingFin 2 July, 2014 @ 1:49 pm

According to your profile you’ve only bought Thief. Not exactly a great point of reference for an entire console.

@WearingFin The first game I’ve actually got for PS4 was FF Realm Reborn, as an upgrade from PS3. And it’s the game I’m still playing till now. Thief was just a side dish for 20euro. Physical copy ofcourse, since “sales” price here was 40euro or something like that. There are also those small PS+ games for couple hours, but yeah. PS4 is still not getting much love 9 months after its release.

    TeddyBearTwinkle 2 July, 2014 @ 2:40 pm

yea stop trolling on every blog page or il get ya banned faster then you can blink got it good

    Archacus 2 July, 2014 @ 3:02 pm

    @TeddyBearTwinkle
Actualy you are the last person who has the right to say anything.

Lad you were making fun out of name of female SCEE employee… you should apologize to her (even if she won’t read it). Critique is fine, insulting and making fun out of sb else name is bad idea.

madmanwithabox12 2 July, 2014 @ 12:20 pm   33

Persona 2 & 3! I never thought we’d see the day!

Ry_Ratchet 2 July, 2014 @ 12:21 pm   34

Chris, is there any hope for a Gravity Rush DLC sale?

Skookie30 2 July, 2014 @ 12:24 pm   35

* Also you took away my Plus driver:san Fan from my download list i shall have to look though all my download list because the store doesn’t always flag the plus & bought goods as purchased.

take sleeping dogs a plus IGC but the store tells me to buy it. other goods that i bought like ghost of sparta for PSP but the store tells me i need to buy it.

Still no sale on Ys. Nooooooo

    NorthernFusion 2 July, 2014 @ 12:31 pm

The only flaw with the sale for me, I thought if FATE and Tails in the Sky were on sale, Ys would be too. :(

JoshHood 2 July, 2014 @ 12:28 pm   37

Any chance of Persona 4: The Golden being added to this sale? I missed the offer a little while back!

Panos_GRE 2 July, 2014 @ 12:30 pm   38

Can’t there be an additional ps plus discount for Parasite Eve II?
I’m 17 cents short :)

Terarded 2 July, 2014 @ 12:32 pm   39

The prices of those PSP persona games are disgusting, its an old game on an old console anything more than 10$ is horrible.
Not criticizing sony here or anything, i know its atlus that sets those horrible prices.

    Blueberryboll 4 July, 2014 @ 9:55 pm

It’s not Atlus setting the prices; it’s the localiser Ghostlight who sells them in the PAL region. Atlus USA sells them in the US PSN store and they have much cheaper prices.
Personally I don’t think these prices are “disgusting” or “horrible”. I would pay a lot of money to who ever brought a full Persona 3 Vita port to Europe but don’t want to play the cutscene-less PSP version.

lumoplusjess 2 July, 2014 @ 12:35 pm   40

amazing sale, will be picking up quite a few, definitely FFX/X2

TiggsPanther 2 July, 2014 @ 12:36 pm   41

Vita-wise, the only ones that interest me that I haven’t already bought are probably too new (Conception 2, Mind=Zero) to be in the sale.

Even the PS3 ones, I already own most of the ones that interest me. There are one or two I might buy just to get them at this price, but they’re not high on my must-play-ASAP list.

So, personally, a little disappointing. But I guess that’s only because I’ve already got a lot of these or already chosen to pass them up. (And some of them have been on PS+ in the past year)
But for the undecided, it’s a great selection at good prices.

WildRushSykes 2 July, 2014 @ 12:36 pm   42

Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi is actually £23.99 on the UK store not £19.99 as your post stated :( I hope it still goes down to £10.99 though as i will snap it up :)

Good opportunity for me to buy the older FF titles, again. :) I’ll also grab Front Mission and Spectral Souls (again).

seldinhio 2 July, 2014 @ 12:38 pm   44

Now this is what I call a sale. No bs just a massive sale. Great work

Miro33no 2 July, 2014 @ 12:38 pm   45

Just skimmed through these quickly, but I already saw some really good deals. Will go trough them again and hopefully find something that I don’t already have :D This is how a sale should look like ! Keep it up guys :)

Porcupeth00 2 July, 2014 @ 12:39 pm   46

Ninja gaiden 1 and 2 aren’t going to be discounted separately?

Hanzoadam 2 July, 2014 @ 12:40 pm   47

I was really hoping for Conception 2 to come down and Monster Monopiece

    THUNDERCAT1973 2 July, 2014 @ 2:26 pm

conception 2 is atlus better chance of seeing flying pigs. atlus have no love for europe

aeonlord92 2 July, 2014 @ 12:41 pm   48

Great sale for me as 90% of the games I own and play are Japanese ones… Only one problem with the sale though – no Disgaea 3 for Vita on sale! I say it most weeks in the weekly update post but £34.99 is too much for a game that has been out for over 2 years and has it’s sequel coming out in just under 2 months. I know it’s down to NIS Europe/America to decide to do it, not Sony, but I mean… come on. A sale or price drop would be nice and get hype going for Disgaea 4 on Vita and this ‘Big in Japan’ sale would’ve been perfect for it. It makes me a sad panda….

    RegretfulPath 2 July, 2014 @ 7:07 pm

I agree, would love too see the Disgaea games on sale, whats worse is NA got D3 free last year :(

MWorldII 2 July, 2014 @ 12:43 pm   49

Great sale, see some interesting deals for me.
What about The Wolf Among Us goes on sale in near weeks? Some good news?

neclord 2 July, 2014 @ 12:45 pm   50

No offense, but most of this sales sucks. Stuff like Final fantasy, Resident Evil or Ni no Kuni, amongs other PSone classics have been on sale over and over

Why didn’t include “true” big in Japan titles such as Hatsume Miku, Dangaronpa or Atelier Totori +/ Meruru+?

I know you will ignore me or delete my comment, but you can’t deny the truth.

    gta5rockt 2 July, 2014 @ 2:10 pm

hahaha people are making fun of your comment in message boards

    WearingFin 2 July, 2014 @ 2:19 pm

And such a lovely person you are gta5rockt and what an asinine comment. His opinion might be against yours, and he could have made it a lot better, but laughing at him because others are making fun of him? Please grow up.

    gta5rockt 2 July, 2014 @ 2:29 pm

At least i let him know because its bad when people talk behind someones back, and i found it rather funny because this is a good sale but obviously even here not everyone is happy :D
