Behind the scenes at the LittleBigPlanet 3 Game Jam 2014

It has become something of a tradition to host a LittleBigPlanet Game Jam for some of our top creators and community folks prior to the launch of a brand new title.

So we recently gathered 11 top creators and community folks for an exclusive chance to play and create with LittleBigPlanet 3!

LittleBigPlanet is a truly creative series and nothing helps inspire game creators than a fun little game jam that gives aspiring developers the chance to flex their creativity whilst surrounded by good friends and creators.

Each creator was given access to the full toolset of LittleBigPlanet 3 and tasked with making something brand new in just 24 hours time (sleep optional) that could not previously have been created in LittleBigPlanet!

24 hours of creative fun…

What occurred over the next 24 hours was a wonderful amalgamation of creativity and friendship that saw our creators and a collection of the LittleBigPlanet development team working together with each other to create games all day and throughout the night.

There was fun had by all and our guests had some fantastic things to say about both the Game Jam event and LittleBigPlanet 3 itself! It was an amazing experience for both them and us since it also gave us the chance to hear directly from the community what they though of the game!

Meet Oddsock!

Naturally our creators had lots of great fun with Sackboy’s new friends and we saw plenty of creations featuring all three group members – OddSock, Swoop and Toggle!

Let’s talk about Oddsock today! Oddsock is the speediest, most agile chum in our group of friends, offering all-new ways of playing LittleBigPlanet and interacting with the world around you!
