Today’s a special day, here at SQUARE ENIX: FINAL FANTASY IX; one of our most celebrated games is now available again from PlayStation Store for all PS3 and PSP users.

Ten years have passed since it made its first, triumphant appearance on the original PlayStation. And since then, it has been regarded as a milestone in the history of console RPGs, and games in general.

Players will have the chance to own and experience the tale of young thief Zidane, kind black mage Vivi and beautiful princess Garnet, and their quest to defeat the evil forces of the Queen of Alexandria. A true classic, FINAL FANTASY IX introduced elements such as the Active Time Events and Mog-Net into the FINAL FANTASY universe, as well as the renowned Tetra Master card mini-game.

Hey Everyone!

Remember when – exactly two months ago – we announced KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep was coming to Europe? Well, now it’s time to say exactly when: the new chapter of the saga created by SQUARE ENIX and Disney Interactive will be available in the shops on Friday 10th September 2010, exclusively on PSP.

The new game narrates the origins of the saga, focusing on the story of heroes Terra, Ventus and Aqua, and will feature new maps, environments as well as four multiplayer modes.

And since they say one video is worth a thousand words (well, more or less…), here’s for you the brand-new KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep trailer!

A while ago we promised to bring you more FINAL FANTASY XIII goodness to PlayStation Home. Well, today we’ve done it.

The long-awaited characters costume sets are now available in the Home stores, and we cannot wait to see you going around dressed like Lightning, Snow, Vanille, or sporting a fancy Chocobo Chick like our gunslinger Sazh.

Along with that, we’ve released some funky furniture pieces to bring more of Cocoon into your personal spaces.

Hi PSP-wielders!

I have some great news for you: KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep is coming to Europe (as well as all other PAL territories) this summer, exclusively for your beloved handheld system.

The game, released in Japan just a few months ago, is the latest installment in the KINGDOM HEARTS action-RPG series, and explores the origins of the saga.

The events of this new chapter take place before those of all other games in the series, and are centred around the three aspiring Keyblade Masters Terra, Ventus and Aqua. The three heroes will attempt to unravel the mystery of the missing Master Xehanort, fighting their way from world to world with their own unique combat abilities.

New characters, maps and environments are introduced, including the worlds of Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. And if this were not enough, the game also sports four multiplayer modes, offering endless battles to up to six players, wirelessly connected.

We’re still in the process of building the game’s official site, but you can have a glimpse of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep’s stunning looks from these screenshots. Once we’ve got some more info to share, you can bet we’ll be back to tell you about it here on the PlayStation.Blog!

Hello, PlayStation bloggees!

It’s a big day for us at SQUARE ENIX: FINAL FANTASY XIII is in the shops at last, and I’m sure some of you are already busy following the adventures of Lightning and company.

To celebrate the game’s release on PS3, we created a set of very special items for PlayStation Home, inspired by the game’s locations and characters.

The items will be available for you from Thursday 11th March, and mark the beginning of SQUARE ENIX’s presence in Home.
