Welcome to the Community & Game Awards 2011!

It is time for you to access the official PlayStation forums and decide what has been the best of the best within the PlayStation Universe in the last year.

The Community and Game Awards are already a classic within the PlayStation Community and it is your chance to decide what have been the best games, services, content and community members of 2011.
These awards are divided in two categories:

The Community Awards: In this board you are going to decide which community members, threads, events and clans deserve to be nominated for the awards of 2011.

• Friendliest Online Gamer.
• Most Helpful Member.
• Funniest Member.
• Best Clan.
• Best Community event or contest.
• Thread of the Year.
• Most Creative Member of the year.
• Best PSN Online ID created in 2011.
• Newbie of the Year Award.

The Game Awards: You may nominate any game, service or content relevant for 2011 just by replying to each post and writing the name of what you are nominating. Please make sure that it is obvious, checking the spelling and using the full name.

• [PS3] PlayStation 3 Game of the Year.
• [PS3] Best PlayStation Move game of the year.
• [PS3] Best Multiplayer mode.
• [PSP] Game of the Year.
• PlayStation Service of the Year (such as Vidzone, Music unlimited, Video Store, etc.).
• [PS Store] Downloadable Game of the Year.
• [PS Store] Downloadable Content of the Year (DLC).
• [PS Vita] Most anticipated PS Vita Game.
• Most Anticipated PlayStation Game of 2012.
• Most wanted trophy. – Which trophy have you been actively hunting this year?
• Best PlayStation videogame Art and Design.
• Best Videogame Character of the year.

Anyone with a PlayStation Network account can take part just by visiting your local language forum, choosing the award and making your nomination by typing his/its name.

Here are the deadlines:

• Nominations open on Monday 9th Januaryat 12:00PM GMT.
• Nominations close on Monday 23rd Januaryat 12:00PM GMT.
• 10 finalists for each category.
• Voting opens on Friday 27th Januaryat 12:00 PM GMT.
• Voting closes on Friday 3rd Februaryat 12:00 PM GMT.
• Winners will be announced on Monday 6th February at 17:00 PM GMT.

Hi everyone, I’m Envisager (or Vissy as some like to call me!) one of the MVPs from the Official PlayStation Forums, some of you might already know me from events I host for the community!

A few weeks ago, I was invited to London Studios to see first hand how the new SingStar titles, SingStar Dance and SingStar Guitar, were shaping up, and chat with some of the awesome team who bring us the ultimate party game!

During my time at London Studios on the wet and soggy Thursday afternoon, I was given the opportunity to chat and pose questions to Mike Rouse, Senior Producer of SingStar and was shown how the new versions of the game functioned by Charlie Hasdell, Principal Designer of SingStar. This was before being given the chance to prove my worth against Charlie and some of the developers of the game!

Of course, this was all captured on video for your enjoyment, and my embarrassment

What can I say about the new versions of the game? Well I have been a fan of SingStar from the first instalment, and having been lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the new titles; it’s made me even more impatient to get hold of them on release! They both bring exciting new elements to the game, which is brilliant if singing isn’t your bag, you now have the option to have a little boogie or pick up your guitar controller and strum along! I for one am looking forward to seeing the community uploaded dancing videos on SingStar online!
