Bienvenue Au PlayStation Blog En Français

Hi Everybody,

Remember me? I came over to PlayStation Blog about a month ago to announce the launch of the German and Italian versions of PlayStation Blog.

I promised to come back and give you an update on the launch of new local PlayStation Blogs and this is why I’m here again…

I’m pleased to announce the launch of blog.fr.playstation.com as of today. This new Blog, available in French, will mainly be run by Nina, Manuela and Guillaume who will do their best to make you feel welcome and keep you updated with the latest news and announcements related to local products and events.

On top of the local content you will also find all the pan-European news from the English blog translated in French.

You can head over to the French blog now at blog.fr.playstation.com to find the first Welcome post from the French team.

For those who wonder what happened to the Spanish Blog; we are still working on it and I’ll announce a launch date soon.

Emmanuel.

Willkommen in deinem lokalen PlayStation.Blog! Benvenuti sul PlayStation Blog italiano!

Hi Everybody,

It’s with great pleasure that I announce the launch today of two new Blogs for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

The first is the German Blog; you will meet Roland and the team who will share with you all events and news happening in Germany and Austria.

The second Blog that will go live today is the Italian Blog and the existing blog.playstationplanet.it will be replaced very soon by the Italian version of the PlayStation.Blog. It’s the same team that will be taking care of the new Italian PlayStation.Blog, you probably already know Maurizio who has been doing a brilliant job in providing the community with all the PlayStation news for Italy.

What can you expect from these new Blogs?

First of all, pretty much everything that we post on the English Blog that is relevant to a European audience will be localised and available in your language on the new Italian and German Blogs. On the top of this content, you will find all the news and events happening around you in your country.

You will probably wonder what happened to the French Blog and the Spanish Blog, they will both be launching very soon… I’ll announce the launch date on the European Blog soon. So watch this space!

PSN On eu.playstation.com – New Features Coming Soon

Update: 20 July 2009
Hello! Great news – the new PSN Trophy features are now live! To compare your trophies with your Friends in the new leaderboard, go to
eu.playstation.com, sign-in using your PSN Online ID then head over to My PlayStation Network / My Trophies. Enjoy :)

——–

Hi everyone. My name is Emmanuel (or “Manu” as everybody calls me) and I’m the Portal Manager here at SCEE, which means that I look after eu.playstation.com.

Back in March this year we released new PSN functionality on eu.playstation.com, in particular the ability to directly check your Trophies and the status’ of your friends on the website, plus a new Trophy-friendly version of the Portable ID.

Already more than half a million of you have enjoyed these new features and continued to update your Portable ID on a regular basis, so thank you very much for your support.

Since the launch of the PSN channel, we’ve been listening to the community in order to plan further enhancements to the section and I’m happy to say that from mid-July you’ll be able to enjoy two great new and much-requested features on eu.playstation.com…

First up is the new “My Trophies – Compare with your friends” page, which is fairly self-explanatory but will enable you to line up your Trophy collection alongside that of your PSN Friends.

Many of you also requested a Leaderboard, so you can see how you rank against your PSN Friends, and whether you’ve moved up, down or stayed in the same spot. So here’s a look at the new Leaderboard:

This is still work in progress and the design of these pages might change slightly, but as we get closer to the launch of these new features we’ll let you know more details on how they’ll work and the exact release date.

Back in March I said this is just the start of new exciting ways of enjoying your PSN world and it still is: keep an eye on  eu.playstation.com for even more new features coming soon. I’m also keen to get ideas and feedback from you, so don’t hesitate to post your comments here on the Blog or into the Forums.
On a final and separate note, I just wanted to remind you to keep your PSN sign in details safe: never tell anyone else your PSN Sign-In ID (email address) or password, and only use these details to log-in to official PlayStation websites.

See you soon on eu.playstation.com.

Manu
