Welcome to the world of Superpower Friends, the new Facebook application from PlayStation Comics!

Here’s how the app works…
The app generates questions about how you would feel or what would happen if your Facebook friends suddenly gained the abilities of some of your favourite comic book characters, from Wolverine and Captain America, to Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse.

The app randomly selects one of your Facebook friends and then generates a question based on a comic character’s ability. The questions will fuel some witty responses, which you can post to their walls… or you can simply move to the next question. You will have the option to change your friend and generate your own customised question, if you wish.

Gain Coins!
Every time you answer a question you are rewarded with a coin, which can be used to unlock additional features within the app.

Spending those coins…

1. After gaining ten coins, the app will enable you to unlock a screen which displays every answer about you that your friends have completed.
2. After gaining five coins, you will be able to send a superpower gift to a friend.

A message from Chris – Our World Cup Winner from Week 1 who will be going to ENG v USA!

It was my day off and I had just come back in from cleaning the wife’s car. As I closed the door I heard that funny noise the computer makes when you receive an e-mail. I don’t get that many so curiosity got the better of me. I had a look and found out it was from PlayStation stating that I had won the Eng vs USA FIFA World Cup competition. At first I thought no way, I’m not that lucky but as I read through it I realised that what I was reading would change my summer. I must admit, I then had a tear in my eye.

My mate Rob will be coming with me who has been a good friend over the years and of course entered the competition to. So a natural choice really.

I’ve never been to South Africa before and can’t wait to get there to experience something really special. This is the greatest competition in the world – ‘The 2010 FIFA World Cup’!

My highlight of course will be the game, cheering on my country, not forgetting to get my Vuvuzela (horn) on the way. My favourite player would have to be Frank Lampard who has had a great domestic season and is in great form going into the World Cup. Peter Crouch on the other hand always leaves me wondering , how does he do it…..but he always does.

A big thanks to everyone at PlayStation for this fantastic prize. C’mon England, the spirit of 66 awaits…..come to think of it I was born July 1966, could this be an omen?

A message from Terry – Our World Cup Winner from Week 1 who will be going to URU v FRA!

I had to read the congratulatory email three times before believing I had won the competition. Even then I thought “I can’t go to South Africa” leaving my wife and 12 month old daughter behind… can I? My wife insisted I had to go, for which I was hugely relieved, so I then started thinking about who I could take. Many friends, workmates and family entered my thoughts and I started to wish I could take 5 people before I asked my Dad. He didn’t take long to accept.

I’m looking forward to enjoying the build up to the start of the tournament and watching the South Africa v Mexico opening match before heading to the brand new Green Point Stadium for Uruguay v France, wearing my Ireland shirt!

As a Liverpool fan I then look forward to enjoying a Stevie Gerrard inspired 4-0 opening victory before heading home. Thanks Sony
