Buckle up, Gran Turismo fans – our annual GT Academy competition will return for a fifth season this year, and it’s set to be the biggest yet, with more countries than ever before participating.

The online gaming element of the competition gets under starter’s orders this July via a demo of the hotly-anticipated Gran Turismo 6 exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Since it began in 2008, the acclaimed virtual-to-reality competition has attracted over two million entries, with gamers and motor sport fans battling it out on Gran Turismo for the chance to become real Nissan racing drivers. Six former winners of the competition, which now runs in Europe, the USA, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and South Africa, are now Nismo Athletes competing in top-level motor sport on behalf of Nissan.

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and “wub” is in the air… and with the spring comes a new blast of Sound Shapes DLC. Two unique sound packs are available right now and in just a couple weeks we’re stuffing the Community Milkcrate with more albums from guest curators. Every Assassin’s Creed game is based in an actual historical setting, with a sense of place and time that provides the backdrop to amazing adventure fraught with peril and political intrigue. The setting for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is no different and, contrary to popular belief, pirates didn’t just suddenly decide to become a scourge of the seas out of a clear blue sky.

The emergence of piracy was the result of decades of violent and brutal privateering that was not only sanctioned, but also bankrolled by warring naval powers of a size and scope never known before. But all of this will have already happened in AC4, and so we thought it would be a good idea to bring you up to speed.
