Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Coming To PS Vita

Countries: , , , ,

So it has once again been a while since I have posted to the PlayStation.Blog, BUT from the content of this blog entry you will all get to see exactly why!

First off we have some cool new gameplay to show off and talk about. As every Sly fan knows Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox have a long and torrid history, which is destined to continue in the latest instalment. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time picks up the relationship where Sly 3 left off, Sly is feigning amnesia so he can be with the love of his life, Carmelita. But when he re-joins the Cooper Gang on their time-travelling escapade to restore his family’s legacy, you can be sure Carmelita will quickly become embroiled in their wild adventure. (more…)

The Making Of Sorcery: Creatures

Countries: , , , ,

This is the final installment in our four-part series detailing the making of Sorcery. In this video we discuss what went into the invention of this vast, magical universe to which players are transported in the game. There were quite a few creative decisions that had to be made, so we give you a bit of insight into the process of how we came up with the look and feel of the different environments/realms and the dangerous creatures that inhabit them. You’ll hear from the development team on how we went about making a fantasy world feel fresh (and strange), details on the backstory behind places like the Endless Stair and the Faerie Forest, and some anecdotes on why the prettiest character in Sorcery is also one of the most dangerous!

The Last Of Us – The Sky Has Turned Grey

Countries: , , , ,

It’s been nearly six months since we announced The Last of Us, and development has been a beehive of activity. If you have seen any of the coverage, you might have read about Joel and Ellie’s time spent in an abandoned city to which they have driven. We are excited to share a fresh video with you today. This video should answer some of the questions you had after reading the stories about what went down inside those city walls. You’ll get a glimpse into the lethality of the world Joel and Ellie are surviving in and what being a survivor in that world truly means.

Joel and Ellie won’t have an easy road ahead on their journey across the U.S. Their path will intersect with those of other remaining survivors, some of whom won’t be so friendly. In this scene Joel and Ellie continue the journey west in a salvaged pickup truck. The sombre tune of Hank Williams Sr. echoes the desolation of the world of The Last of Us. As they drive towards the next destination on their route – really just another place to find resources that will help them survive – they run into some hunters. What happens next is something you have to witness to understand. Check it out:

What you watched here is only a peek into how alone and forsaken the world has become. Our world is a brutal, lethal place in The Last of Us. Be ready for things to get much worse.

We can’t wait to share this genre-defining game with you. The hounds have started to bay. Get prepared for the coming months and look out for more information at E3.

The Apocalyptic Sale Is Nigh On PlayStation Store!

Apocalyptic Sale Banner

Hello Everybody

The year is 2012 (gentle reminder!) It is told that this year brings forth the end of the world or so the interesting people tell me. So I thought it would be a good idea to bring you some awesome games with an apocalyptic theme to get you in training for our impending doom.

One of the best ways to get a crash course into surviving a nuclear fallout would be the legendary games Fallout3 and Fallout: New Vegas. There will be a 30% discount on all Fallout3 and Fallout: New Vegas individual add-on packs, and a 50% discount for fans buying all add-ons as a bundle (with extra discounts for PlayStation Plus members).

How about living in an underwater city? Or on a strange, distant planet which looks surprisingly like the Arizona desert? You can expect titles such as Bioshock 2 and Borderlands from just £9.69/€11.99 with extra discounts for the DLC.

Of course, no ‘end of the world’ scenario would be complete without a zombie biting at your ankles here and there, so for this we have Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica: X, as well as Amy, Burn Zombies Burn and All Zombies Must Die.

What better way to spend your last moments on Earth than playing games where the world hasn’t quite ended? So check out these great offers and more available on the PlayStation Store from Wednesday 16th May to Wednesday 30th May.
