Important Callout To Aussie Killzone 3 Fans!

Countries:

A highly confidential and unique ISA Recruitment Drive is coming to Sydney, and we will soon be on the lookout for 100 of the most passionate Killzone fans to attend this exclusive event. This is not your standard training camp…rather than blood, sweat and tears, ‘The Commando’ will test you on your knowledge and experience of defeating the enemy on the unpredictable and cruel environment of Helghan.

The lucky attendees of this event will be the first in Australia to trial Killzone 3 ahead of its official launch date, and compete against each other in an ultimate mutli-player and single player combat challenge, and maybe even walk away with some cool prizes (did we mention the lucky door prize of a Killzone 3 Helghast Edition Pack, among others?!!).

So, do you think you have what it takes to be a trusted ISA member, and gain access to this exclusive event? If so, then we’d love to hear from you when the time comes.

Stay tuned for more details in the next few days on how you can enlist…

Jamiroquai Rocks Take 40 Party In OZ, Courtesy Of SingStar

Countries:

Sydney’s hottest party of the year – and we were there! The ‘Take 40 Stars of Summer’ party took place at Sydney’s exclusive ‘Point Piper’, with 250 celebrities and guests partying the afternoon away at a harbour-side mansion to performances by Jamiroquai, DJ Havana Brown and Dane Rumble – all thanks to SingStar!

The headline performance by Jamiroquai was set on a specially created perspex stage over the pool. The ‘hatted’ one was in fine form, performing tracks from Jamiroquai’s latest album ‘Rock Dust Light Star’ (as well as a few golden oldies). In Australia to promote the album, singer Jay Kay said “I gotta say, when we come down here… we dig it. The crowds are always great.” Everyone was certainly blown away by the performance, including celebrities Natalie Imbruglia, Sneaky Sound System’s Damon Downey, Erica Heynatz and Tom Williams.

PlayStation 3 launched new SingStar games at the party – SingStar Dance and SingStar Guitar , with plenty of guests grabbing their chance to try out the new games and give their own ‘rock-star’ performances! Among the long list of celebrities kicking back and enjoying the party were Kirk Pengilly, Justin Hemmes, Erin McNaught, Gracie Otto, Pip Edwards and Charlotte Dawson. Alex Dimitriades also rocked the event with his own DJ set which got the crowd jumping!

The event will be broadcast on free-to-air TV and subscription TV so the rest of Australia can soak up the glamour from the ultra-exclusive party.

Catch the extraordinary performance by international superstars Jamiroquai on GO! on December 12; Channel [V] on December 12; and Channel Nine on December 16. A must for Jamiroquai fans!

First L.A. Noire Game Trailer Arrives

Countries:

For anyone who missed it, Rockstar Games today released the highly anticipated first trailer for L.A. Noire, coming to PlayStation 3 in 2011, and it looks to be an absolute ‘stunner’. Developed by Team Bondi, a new Australian based studio founded by Brendan McNamara of The Getaway, in conjunction with Rockstar Games, L.A. Noire is a dark and violent detective thriller set against the backdrop of Los Angeles in the post-war years of the late 1940s, the most corrupt and violent period in the city’s history.

One look at the trailer and it becomes quickly apparent why this game has been so long in development. Movie-quality voice acting and dialogue is combined with what can only be described as some of the most realistic in-game visuals yet seen in a console game (certainly as far as character animation goes).

Based on groundbreaking performance capture technology that goes beyond traditional methods to render every subtlety and nuance of an actor’s facial expressions and emotions, L.A. Noire is the first game to truly explore what it means to be a detective, offering players the opportunity to solve crimes through a blend of classic action, clue-finding and interrogation, allowing players to analyse every subtle nuance of an actor’s performance in order to get to the truth.

Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire truly blends cinema and gaming, and will be available on PS3 in 2011. We simply can’t wait for this one.

Note: L.A. Noire is yet to be rated by the Australian Classification Board. Check the classification closer to the date.
