Phew. I do believe the games industry has earned its holiday weekend after all the brouhaha of the last few days. I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride, and are making the most of your time off.

Should you be in the market for a little catch-up reading, we’ve had plenty of great stuff on PS Blog this week. A tantalising video tease from the Destiny team, a fascinating insight into ambitious PS4 puzzle adventure The Witness, a chat with Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, a beefy new Store sale and a regular side-order of indie goodness (namely Men’s Room Mayhem, OlliOlli and Luftrausers), to name but a few of the standouts. Hey there everyone. Fred here with your regular recap of the week’s PlayStation headlines. There’s been plenty to chew on this week, not least our massive Gran Turismo 6 announcement on Wednesday – look out for more coverage of the latest entry in Polyphony’s hugely succesful racing series next week.

Elsewhere, we detailed the June PS Plus update (another fantastic line-up, I hope you’ll agree), unleashed a new Killzone Mercenary trailer, chatted with Blizzard about Diablo III on PS4, debuted two new Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag clips, and sat down with the man in charge of crafting Ubisoft’s remarkable new open world title, Watch_Dogs. It’s been a furiously busy week on planet PlayStation, so we’ve plenty of catch-up reading for you today! We had new game announcements aplenty (CounterSpy, Doki-Doki Universe and Hohokum), special edition first-looks (BEYOND: Two Souls and Tearaway) two big sales (GTA and ‘Knights & Witches’) and fresh insight into two massive PS4 titles (Watch_Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag).

Not only that, but we also let the cat out of the bag early on two fantastic titles coming to PS Plus in June – Demon’s Souls and ICO & Shadow of the Colossus HD. We’ll unveil the full line-up very shortly.

As for next week… well, our ‘15 years of Gran Turismo‘ event on Wednesday should prove an exciting focus, but we’ll have plenty of other things to talk about too. See you back here on Monday…

Ahoy there, one and all. Fred here with your weekly glance over the shoulder at the week that was. I think ‘quality not quantity’ is an accurate summation of PS Blog’s output over the last seven days. While it was certainly quieter than usual, there was a fistful of very pleasing announcements. My highlights? A new behind-the-scenes video for the thoroughly charming Diggs Nightcrawler, a look at Watch_Dogs on PS4, and a first glimpse at the brilliantly bonkers Men’s Room Mayhem on PS Vita.
