‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update 11th January 2012

Countries: , , , ,

Amy for PS3 (PSN)

PlayStation Store (via PS3, PSP and Media Go)

Greetings! Another week brings another content update to the PlayStationStore!

To start with, we have AMY from Lexis Numerique – a survival horror game not for the faint of heart.

If you’re too frightened then there’s Zack Zero, a 3D platform action title from Crocodile.

Demo wise we have Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Asura’s Wrath to play around with – two games I am greatly looking forward to!

This week also brings more content for titles ranging from Battlefield 3 (pew pew pew!) to EyePet (pet pet pet?)

Finally, at the bottom of this post you will find answers to some of the most frequent questions in the comments from last week’s post. We’re taking this approach because, while we would love to answer everyone and everything instantly, sometimes giving an accurate answer requires further research, legal clearance or approval from one of our third-party partners. We will still get involved in the comments and endeavour to respond as much as we can; if you’re query isn’t answered right away then rest assured that we do read them and hopefully it will be addressed in the following week’s FAQ.

‘Heads-Up’ Game Store Update 4th January 2012

PlayStation Store (via PS3, PSP and Media Go)

Hello fellow gamers and welcome to another edition of the PSN Store ‘Heads-Up’ blog post.

Welcome to 2012, this year looks like it is going to be a big one for us at Sony with the launch of PSVita on 22nd February as well as some new (and old) games and content you have been requesting.

However sadly this week don’t have loads coming to the store this week (which after Christmas and the Festive Sale might be a slight relief for your wallets) but what we do have I think will put a smile on your faces.

First off we have All Zombies Must Die, a must have for all you twin-stick shooter, zombie mayhem fans. We also have the PSone classic Wild Arms available from today and the Batman Arkham City – Challenge Map Pack to further test your cap crusading skills.

And just to finish off, I don’t usually highlight avatars but the Warlords avatars we have coming to the store today I think look really cool, so check them out.

So that’s it for another week from me, see you in the comments, BYE!!

P.S. DISCLAIMER – Any comments I feel are disrespectful I will ignore, so please be polite.

Special Offer Selection

The Festive Sale is still going until the 11th January 2012. So jump onto the store today to check out what we have got on offer.

'Heads-Up' PlayStationPlus Update - 4th January 2011

Happy New Year to all the PlayStation community – I hope 2012 brings you everything you all are wanting. Of course, if what you’re wanting is a copy of Back to the Future: The Game as part of your Plus subscription, we’re off to a fine start.

Marty McFly and Doc Brown return in a completely new Back to the Future adventure. Six months after the events of the third film, the DeLorean Time Machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley – driverless! Marty must go back in time and get aid from a resistant teenage Emmett Brown, or else the space time continuum will forever be unraveled!

And to kick-start the year there’s an extra free game for you all courtesy of Ubisoft in the shape of Voodoo Dice. Roll the dice in a mystical world filled with exploration, puzzle-solving, and adventure. Voodoo Dice is an innovative, challenging puzzler that plays with your mind as you solve puzzles in unique and interesting ways. With 60 single player levels and multiplayer for up to 4 players it should help keep your mind of those New Year’s resolutions that you’ve selectively forgotten to keep up!

Add to that two new Plus themes, of course, including a rather swanky cuckoo clock, two brand new minis which are both exclusive to Plus for the next couple of weeks, Rally Cross on PSone and to celebrate the 50% off of Festival of Blood promotion running until 11th January, a couple of free inFamous 2 avatars – Good Cole and Zeke.

And the discounts this month start with After Burner Climax at 75% off this week and starting next week, more to come throughout the month, including a buy-one-get-one-free offer from Capcom, additional discounts for Plus members on an upcoming EA sale with some huge savings, 75% off a SEGA Dreamcast classic and a day-one discount for a brand new PSN title to hint at a few. Keep an eye on the weekly PlayStation Store updates for more information.

Enjoy your content guys, I’m out this week but feel free to leave your comments – Andy will be looking them over to help with any pressing issues and I’ll be back on Monday to provide some more feedback.

Once again, a very Happy New Year from PlayStationPlus.

‘Heads-Up’ Game Store Update 21st December 2011

Countries: , , , ,

PlayStation Store (via PS3, PSP and Media Go)

Hello fellow gamers and welcome to another edition of the PSN Store ‘Heads-Up’ blog post.

It’s my favourite time of the year, it’s CHRISTMAS!!…. almost. Where we have time to spend with our loved ones and celebrate goodwill to all. Or if you’re anything like me, you get a lot more free time to play some games and earn some trophies. So to help with festive boredom we have some awesome games for you this week.

First off I should mention that we had a late submission and now Jurassic Park: The game is available from the store if you have not seen it there already. We also have the highly requested Dungeon Defenders where you and four friends can try and stop the horde of enemies taking over the dungeons.

I am also excited to see that Oddworlds: Stranger’s Wrath HD in on the store today; this is one not to miss. As well as the HD remakes of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, two of my favourite games from back in the day.

And to ‘wrap up’ (see what I did there?) we have The King of Fighters XIII demo available on the store today.

So that’s it for another week and for 2011. All that is left to say is have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on and all. Hopefully will see some of you online.

BYE!!!
