From Bad To Lord

Countries: , , , ,

Hi everyone! I have a few bits of important news to announce!

The first is, Badman has decided to change his bad image, or at least his name. Let it be known: The Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman series will immediately be referred to as What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? The original title had a conflict of interest with an existing IP and it was not NIS America’s intention to create any conflict. This new title is intended to better represent the game’s whacky retro dungeon world and connect the player’s awareness with the overall theme of the game. Phil, give us a drumroll to introduce the new game cover…..

What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord

Due to the name change the game, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman!: What did I do to deserve this? will be temporarily unavailable from the PlayStation Store. The game will return as soon as the new name process has been completed.

The second bit of news is that What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 will be released within the same week as its North American version, 7 May 2010. Waahooo!

About What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2

The goal of the game is clean and simple: As the God of Destruction, you must create a dungeon that is both difficult and powerful enough to fend off the human hero invaders. The dungeon must have a self-sustaining ecosystem, so players must strategically dig and create a dungeon with a balanced food chain. Periodically, human heroes will invade the dungeon, in order to bring peace and harmony to the world. But, they are your enemies. You must destroy the heroes before they capture the Overlord and take him back to the surface.

What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord

The game system may be simple, but this game is loaded with tons of evolving monsters, environments, and heroes for hours of game play. Compared to the original game, part 2 has 2.5 times more heroes, 3.3 times more monsters, and 4 times more stages to beat.

Holy Invasion Of Privacy Badman Demo Out Now

Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman 1

Elohim essaim! My Lord, God of Destruction!

It is I, Badman, who has called you to my side. You and you alone can succeed in showing these heroes who has the power. We will defeat them in the full game Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?, which will be out in stores and on PSN October 2009. But, to crush the heros, you need training, O Obliterating One.

For this purpose, I have tasked my minions to create a simulation, a demo if you will, of battles waged against me by these hypocritical heroes. This little training sample will enable you to discover the powers of the creatures that live in the earth, who eats whom, and who fights best.

Did you know that the game is in German (ja, das ist richtig) and in French (c’est vrai, ouais)? Here is a sample from the Almanach and the game from each language version:

But, hurry, O Demolishing One, for these justice-loving heroes will bind me and drag me to the surface to face their “goodness” as they have tried before…

Download the demo NOW free of charge from PSN. Afterwards, click your way to a quiz that will test the knowledge you have acquired from your demo experience. Here is the website where you will be able to exercise your mighty knowledge: www.holybadman.com/quiz. I have captured a few wonky Omnoms that have begun to multiply. Since I can’t sell them, I’m giving them away, two at a time, to those who take the quiz. Perhaps, should I find you truly savvy, I’ll invite you to hang out at my new bar, The Piper Room, and introduce you to my ever-growing family of sisters.

O God of Devastation, I plan to summon you soon…

Holy Invasion Of Privacy Badman

Hi everyone. My name is Allison from NIS America, and I want to talk about the hottest PSP title ever, “Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?” OK, the title itself is bloomin’ insane, but so is the game. It’s coming to Europe in September, and the demo will be out on PSN 3 September (free!), but more on that later. Right!

Badman logo

Here’s the story: you are the God of Destruction, summoned by Badman, an underground overlord (and a rather egotistical one at that) to create an army of creatures to protect him from a slew of justice-thirsty heroes. Badman acts whingey and helpless, and he often gets his knickers in a twist when things don’t go his way. A real wally, yeah? But, he’s right funny as you’ll see when you play.

In the game itself, you are a pickaxe. Yeah, you don’t seem that exciting, but you are the friggin’ God of Destruction! Your job is to annihilate the pseudo heroes who invade Badm… no… YOUR dungeon and killing his…. no… YOUR servants created from the sweat off your pickaxe. You dig and dig and dig through rich soil from which spring gluey Slimemosses, tasty Omnoms, thumpin’ demons and, yeah, fire-breathin’ dragons, ready to serve and fight as long you take care of them. The dungeon is a delicate ecosystem in which the monsters feed upon others to grow and reproduce. If you create too much of one kind of monster, you risk unbalancing the system, which weakens your fighting power. Rule 1 and only 1: take care of your army.

The game is pretty simple, but it has plenty of depth. (You have to dig right deep to protect Badman).

“Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!” boasts a retro-style visual flair that matches its throwback game style perfectly. And we think lots of people will be attracted to Badman, and won’t be able to stop themselves from spending many sleepless nights with him!

So, give the game a test play by downloading our demo from PSN on 3 September! It’s free, so no excuses. After playing it a few times, come back here in a week to give me a shout, and take our nifty quiz, which could garnish you a couple of randy Omnoms. If taken care of, these little pests may multiply and transform into Omnom flies.

And, now, have a look at Baddie’s website.

Fantastic news for all: “Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?” will be available BOTH as digital download from PSN and UMD.

Enjoy!
