On Wednesday June 30, our favourite heiress to the throne will get a little added bulk thanks to our good friends at Atomic Operations, and we can’t wait for all you Fat Princess fans to check it out!

Fat Princess Fat Roles DLC (€4.99\£3.99) unleashes Pirates, Ninjas and Giants (oh my!) into the world of Fat Princess. These three new character classes bring a whole new level of awesomeness to the frenzied 32-player battles alongside our beloved royal beauty.

After picking up the DLC, a new multi-class magic hat spawner will be activated in every level of Fat Princess. Pirates can call in cannon ball attacks, Ninjas can hide in the shadows to sneak through doors, and the all-mighty Giants can cause rumbling earthquakes and gain health by chomping on their enemies.

We’re also very happy to announce that Patch 1.06 activates the new Fat Princess Party feature!

Due to the overwhelming fan response, Patch1.06 delivers 4-player same-console co-op for FREE to everyone who owns Fat Princess! Fans will be able to enjoy couch co-op in both online and offline games. Players will also be able to re-spawn at outposts, which adds a whole new level of co-op strategy to all gaming modes and levels.

And that’s not all. We’ve also included clan tags and password-protected games to make playing with your friends even more easy and fun.

And for those of you who have heard about the game, but have not yet sampled the cake…what are you waiting for? Go ahead and download the Full Fat Princess game on June 29 for just €9.99. It includes everything from the initial release updated all the way through Patch 1.06, so you get all of this great content (all original maps plus 4 recently released new maps, party feature, clan tags and loads of enhancements) in one fell swoop.

We’re giving you the chance to ask SuperVillain Studios anything you like about their new PSP game; Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake.

The game follows the story of two cheeky princesses who have eaten some cursed cake they found in the forest, and are now completely addicted to the chunky slabs of yummy gateaux. This is causing all sorts of problems around the land of Titania, where princess-snatching and cake-feeding are making it very difficult for the chubby royals to do their job.

You know what? We love our fans.

We love our fans so much,that we’d like to kick off the new year with something special just for you.

Tomorrow, January 21, we’ll be releasing Patch 1.04 which now includes a new, FREE city-themed map called Brownie Town.

We’ve also fixed an issue with the online rankings, so now the All-Time & Monthly scores for Team Deathmatch and Invasion have been swapped to post correctly.

It’s all of you who keep the Fat Princess community alive & well, and it means a lot to us. We recently saw some amazing displays of fan enthusiasm and support, and wanted to share with everyone:

Calling all Fat Princess fans!

Today is a great day indeed. Your faithful developers at Titan Studios and team at Sony Santa Monica Studio are extremely happy to announce that after careful thought and great labour, Patch 1.03 is complete and ready for imminent release.

Patch 1.03 contains the awesome New Pork city level, and due to the amazing support we have received from the community, we have decided to release the map for free! Yes you heard us right, for free!

Just as importantly, we have implemented many fixes and tweaks to make the game better than ever. The Fat Princess demo will also go live with the release of 1.03, so everyone who has been dying to try out the game can finally check it out. Huzzah, cake and candy confetti (see below, if you please) for everyone!

You might’ve already read about the newly-announced Fat Princess DLC level and future updates on the way, but screenshots can only do so much for you, am I right?

Last week at PAX, I ran into Chris Millar and Craig Leigh from Titan, who demoed the addition to this top-selling PSN game on camera. Unfortunately, the folks at Penny Arcade are creatures of the night, and it was super dark (you’ll see that in a minute) in the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Fortunately, Titan scraped together some hi-def footage of the new level, which we edited on top of the walkthrough this morning. Technology, she is wonderful.
