Hey folks, I’m here today to announce a new PSN title coming this year! I’m very excited to introduce When Vikings Attack for PS3 and PS Vita.

In this all-action fighting adventure, a battalion of Viking invaders, 1200 years late to the party, are causing havoc in your town. Imagine getting together a posse of local citizens: a construction worker, a butcher, a policeman, a pastor, and a schoolboy, then ripping up a phone booth or picking up a car, and hurling it at the advancing Viking hordes. That’s the sort of crazy action you can expect in this totally new and original PSN title for PS3 and PS Vita.

Grab whatever you can and get ready to do battle!

Featuring both adventure and Versus gameplay modes that can be played with one to four players, the game has been winning fans within the walls of PlayStation with its manic, quick-fire gameplay ever since it came into being.

Did I mention that it’s also a full cross play/save/buy title? So all gameplay modes can be played between PS Vita and PS3 in pretty much any combination you can imagine: two PS3s and two Vitas or one PS3 and three Vitas or one PS3 with three players and one Vita… I could go on but let’s just say you can have four players in any combination of systems you want. Also, with cross-platform save you can carry on your Adventure mode progress no matter where you are, just upload the save file from your PS3 and download it to your PS Vita or vice versa. Then to top it all off and make this the perfect Crossplay game, we are also offering both versions for one price, no matter which version you buy you will get the other for free… a pretty good deal, if you ask me!

Be sure to keep an eye out for more info at E3 and I’ll be back in the coming weeks along with some of the guys from Clever Beans (the development team behind the game) to introduce you to even more features and let you in on some behind-the-scenes details of how the title came into being and what you can expect when it launches later this year.

PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:00 (BST) today, Thursday 24th May until – 08:00 (BST) on Friday 25th May.

During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

• PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita.
• PlayStation Network Account Management.
• PlayStation Network Account Registration.

In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign in to PSN before 16:00 (BST) today, Thursday 24th May.

During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

Uncharted fans in the US might have noticed that all playable DLC for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is available for free. While they popped the cork a bit early in the States, this is indeed a celebration of the pending arrival of both of Drake’s adventures as downloadable digital titles. When the PS Store updates today, everyone worldwide will be able to download the following DLC content for Uncharted 2 absolutely free of charge:

• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Drake’s Fortune MP Pack
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Golden Guns
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Sidekick Skin Pack
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Siege Expansion Pack

This free Uncharted 2 DLC program will run until the digital launch of the two titles on 27th June. Once the PS Store updates on 27th June, all this DLC will only be available via purchase on the PS Store or when you buy the digital version of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition. PlayStation Home will be offline from 8AM BST on Wednesday 23rd May for routine maintenance. Here is what to expect after the update…

Granzella bring us a new personal space that’s linked with the Southern Island Hideaway – My Private Hideaway. The definitive tropical paradise personal space has arrived and the view is amazing!

This log cabin matches the atmosphere of the tropics and there’s a great view of the landscape.
Whether it’s a quiet time or a party with friends on the balcony, this tropical mood can always be enjoyed. From the balcony you can go to My Secret Garden. In addition you will also be able to go to the My Private Hideaway dedicated fossil excavation area. This log cabin offers tons of excitement!

From the My Private Hideaway personal space you can go to the fossil excavation area.
A variety of fossils rest in the island’s rock wall. Let’s make good use of this excavation equipment and dig for fossils. Anything you dig up is yours, of course! Once the fossil is safely excavated, let the appraiser under the stairs see it.

Also this week, Konami brings you their newest line of Auras. Check out some of their unique auras like the plasma shields, rainbow glow and glow dust. Plus Konami’s take on some classics such as hellfire, lightning storm and snow storm. Unleash the power within!

Delirious Squid stretches its tentacles once more with a range of bright tees and quirky accessories. Who wouldn’t want to look as if they have a bear trying to swallow their head? Word to your grandmother people, it’s a distinctly urban post this week. So put yo’ hands in the air like yo’ really don’t mind and check out what we have in store for you this week.

First off, we have a WORLD EXCLUSIVE VIDEO for the new Virus Syndicate video “Money” which takes a Pink Floyd sample to a place you would never think it could go. For those who don’t know, they are a four piece dubstep and grime collective hailing from Manchester, UK who began their careers on the airwaves pirate radio station Rinse FM and have supported Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, De La Soul, Cypress Hill and Dizzee Rascal.
