Hey there PlayStation Assassins!

The World Premiere Gameplay Trailer of Assassin’s Creed III is finally here! We know you’ve been waiting for this since the initial announcement back in March, so go ahead and watch it right now…I’ll be right here when you’re done.

Okay, now that you’ve been properly introduced to Connor, our new Assassin, there are a couple of things in this video that I’d like to call your attention to.

Firstly, there are the basics of Connor’s character. He is a brutally effective Assassin, taking down his targets with speed and dexterity. Note how he flows across the battlefield, moving from one kill to another in a seamless, unbroken pace, until finally finishing his target with vicious grace. There’s also Connor’s Native American/English heritage, which adds complexity and richness to his motivation.

On top of the incredibly fluid combat, Connor is generally more agile and deft in his movements, easily able to employ all of the trademark maneuvers of the Assassin. Now, however, Connor can travel through the trees as effortlessly as he sprints across rooftops and, for the first time in the Assassin’s Creed series, barrel through open windows, using building interiors to obscure his escape!

We also get a peek at how Connor will interact with some famous historical figures (who’s the guy with the cigar?) as well as wildlife in this trailer, showing off just the tiniest fraction of the vast living world the Assassin’s Creed series is known for.

There’s still so much more to reveal, but all that will have to wait. We’ve still got a few months before Assassin’s Creed III launches at the end of October.

I Am Alive, the long-anticipated believable post-apocalyptic action-adventure game from Ubisoft, will be available to download on Sony Entertainment Network on April 4th, 2012.

And as icing on the cake, early PlayStation Plus buyers – within the first two weeks – will benefit from an exclusive 20% discount on the game.

I Am Alive follows an everyman’s journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the “Event.” A year later, he finds Haventon, his hometown, in shambles. Buildings are destroyed, toxic ash fills the streets and society has been torn apart, causing inhabitants to take all necessary actions to survive.

My name is Paul Cross and I am the Creative Director on the Rocksmith Team. My previous projects include Burnout, Skate and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle – and I want give you a little bit of background on Rocksmith, a music game that lets you plug a real guitar into your PS3 and play along to a great list of well-known rock songs when it comes to Europe this September.

The project started in early 2008 when Ubisoft started talking to a company called Game Tank. These guys had a tech demo that allowed the player to plug in any real guitar into a PS3, and the game would tell them if they were playing the right notes at the right times. Shoot Many Robots can be played with 1-4 people cooperatively online. If you don’t already have an excuse to make three friends and kill some robots, we’ve provided five:

More, More, More

With more players, everything gets multiplied. More robots, explosions and chaos. The number of robots in each level is increased, which means more things to kill, and more ways to kill them. With more robots dying, you are earning more nuts, which allow you to buy more guns and gear. All of the randomly dropping items like powerups and loot also drop more frequently.
