Firstly this week, we’ve teamed up with Codemasters who have kindly offered to answer questions about their upcoming game F1 Race Stars. Not only that, but the question they choose as the best will win a signed copy of the game upon release! So if you have a burning question you would like answered by the development team, head over to the forum thread and submit your query!

Fan of Twisted Metal? Well, one of our community members ‘CaptainCortez’ has arranged a weekly online event for those who want a fix of four-wheeled carnage! If you want to take part and join the fun, pop on over to the event thread to sign up!

Have you Finnish players visited the Official Finnish PlayStation Community Forum yet? The forum was set up to accommodate the increasing numbers of Finnish PlayStation players, and it went live in the beginning of August this year. It has been attracting new users ever since, with old Finnish users from other community forums also taking part in conversations in their own language.

At the moment, the forum has 6 main categories in which you can discuss anything from your favourite upcoming PS3 game releases to older games on PS2, all in Finnish, of course. There are categories to discuss everything you could possibly want to know about PlayStation consoles from PS3 to the new PS Vita. The “Living room” area is there for you to share your thoughts with the rest of the community about any other random thing that might pop into your head!

Quite often you can find all kinds of fun activities on the Finnish forum as well, for example competitions and challenges that might win you something awesome should you take part! During the Halloween week, for example, you might find yourself drawing a ghoulish pumpkin face on the forum in order to win something hair-raisingly horrifying in the form of a PS3 game.

If you’re into multiplayer action and have a favourite online title that you’d really enjoy playing with your fellow Finnish community members, don’t hesitate to suggest this game for the next community Fun Night, where Finnish players would be playing together for some fun.

Occasionally players could be joining from other communities for some multiplayer fun, in which case we would have an international fun night in our hands!

The forum of course, contains a Fan Art section for the creative minds of the Finnish community – if you happen to have some fan art lying around that you’ve always wanted to show off to others, or if you feel like creating something new, you are warmly encouraged to show it off in the Fan Art section for the others to admire and comment on! No, no, I haven’t got a new pumpkin (but I have got a new Christmassy avatar, you like?).

Recently we decided that our forums looked, well, a bit dated. So, we decided to give them a make over! Throwing in lavish reds, colourful banners and lovely new skins – our forum now looks lovelier than a lovely… lovely… thing.

Whilst my use of adjectives may be completely useless, our new forum look is designed to make everything easier to use. We’ve made sure you know where you are for a start (there’s no mistaking that THIS is the LittleBigPlanet forum now, is there!) by applying game-related skins to most of our boards. We’ve even made tweaks to the user-interface, bringing our forums more in line with the look of both PlayStation.com and the lovely (Ok, I’m sorry, I’ll stop now…) PlayStation.blog. And, to top it all off, we’ve made it even easier to make a post with Quick Reply – a feature that allows you to contribute to a discussion without having to load a new page. Brilliant.

We haven’t finished tweaking though – we’re still optimizing the site for use with the PlayStation 3 Internet Browser and adding some finishing touches to the search function. Once we’re done, we’ll let you know over in our Announcements & Events area.

All that’s left is for you to go and check it out. Visit us and chat with your fellow PlayStation’ers about everything from the latest news updates to the greatest movies, games and music available on the PlayStation Network. Just make sure you read our lovel important rules before posting, lest the gods of LittleBigPlanet swoop down and smite you (funnily enough, they’re also the gods of our forum!).
