Locnville are the new electro hip hop duo that everyone is talking about, and they are now available on the SingStore. The band is made up of identical twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin, who were born in New York and raised in Cape Town, South Africa.

After the success of their first album, which has now surpassed platinum status in South Africa, the pair have their first song available to download from the SingStore. Sun In My Pocket is available now!

Just a little word to shout about South African “New Age Hip Hop/Electro outfit” Locnville (pronounced Lokenvill for those of you who don’t already know). These guys completely rocked gamescom to its foundations and are set for something special so we decided we should give them a special artist spotlight feature.

We have feature footage that tells you all about the twins this week as well as the video for their first single “Sun In My Pocket” and next Thursday, 2 September, we have the footage from gamescom so you can see the foundations tremble for yourselves.

Head to Home for a chance to see an exclusive performance by electro-hip hop duo – Locnville.

Visit the brand new gamescom space for a taste of Europe’s biggest games exhibition and while lounging in this super cool VIP area, take in this one off special by South Africa’s brightest exports.

Born in New York and raised in Cape Town, Locnville (identical twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin) have an eclectic music palette and a passion for a multitude of music styles belying their years. Recording their first songs in their bedroom at the tender age of 7, they have to date written and produced a multitude of tracks fusing rock, rap, electro and hip hop and winning a plethora of music awards in their home of South Africa.

This year the boys finally signed to a major label and are destined for big things. . . They’ll be performing in Cologne at the legendary PlayStation Party. If you can’t make it there – we’ll be streaming the gig in the gamescom space in PlayStation Home.

And even more great news – everyone attending the gig, which will run all day Monday, 23 and Tuesday, 24, will receive a free and exclusive tour t-shirt.
