Lead Image1

Reliving your childhood experiences can become quite cumbersome at times, what with all those pesky troubles and annoyances adulthood has to offer. You can hardly find the time to indulge in, say, for instance – some kite flying. Sounds like a bit of work doesn’t it?

But there’s an easy way out. On 29th May, we’ll be releasing Kite Fight. Developed here at Gameshastra – host to titles like Dare to Fly, Don 2 and many others – it brings you the ultimate casual experience on PlayStation Move. So why don’t you kick back, ease into that comfy chair, arm yourself with a Move controller and get ready to fly a kite!

Priced at €4.99/£3.99, Kite Fight was developed to introduce today’s gamers to the fine art of flying kites. A sport that was only recognised and played in festivals is now being brought to the world.

At long last, the very first title for the new Wonderbook peripheral, Wonderbook: Book of Spells, officially launches today.

The team at SCE London Studios worked hard to conjure up a truly amazing experience using the latest in augmented reality technology. Starting today, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter and begin learning the art of spell-casting while using your PlayStation Move motion controller as your magic wand.

The book features new and original writing from J.K. Rowling, and will allow you to learn about the histories of some of the well-known spells from the Harry Potter series, as well as other interesting insights.

Behind the scenes with Portal 2 In Motion

Portal 2 In Motion for PS3

With the European release of Portal 2 In Motion today, I’d like to share a little more about how the project came about and why we believe that this is an important day for the PlayStation Move community.

At Sixense we focus exclusively on motion control, so for us the motion experience is the essence, not an afterthought. Our goal is to release a product only after extensive development and testing to demonstrate that the overall experience is enhanced with motion.

While developing Portal 2 In Motion, it was critical to have a partner like Valve, who holds the user experience sacred. Valve understood the value of Sixense’s expertise in motion gaming and gave us the incredible opportunity to innovate within the Portal 2 universe to create an experience for Move that does justice to the hardware’s advanced tracking capabilities.

Ōkami HD set to charm PSN tomorrow

Countries: , , , ,

At long last, I’m pleased to share that the great goddess Amaterasu is almost here to save the world once again! Ōkami HD is launching on PSN tomorrow in Europe and will be available to download for €19.99/£15.99.

In case anyone needs it, here’s a quick refresher on all the things we’ve added to Ōkami HD:

- The critically acclaimed classic brought to new life on the PlayStation 3
- Full native 1080p visuals brings Ōkami’s stunning visuals into the HD era
- PlayStation Move support allows players to enjoy the celestial brush in new and intuitive ways
- Trophy Support, including Platinum trophies, gives players all new challenges to complete

I’d like to extend a big thanks to the PSN community as well as PlayStation Blog for all their support for Ōkami HD. Your support helped make this project happen and it is greatly appreciated! I can say for myself that this title was hands down the most fun I’ve had working on any project here at Capcom. I hope you all enjoy the game as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing it to you.

Lights, Camera, Party! Debuts Tomorrow On PSN

After years in development, release day is finally upon us! We’re proud to share Lights, Camera, Party! with the PlayStation world via PSN. We made this game to provide quality entertainment for everyone in the household and to showcase fun and innovative uses of the PlayStation Move motion controller. We’ve put our heart and soul into this collection of wacky mini-games and hope they make you laugh and have as good of a time as we had making them. To celebrate the launch of Lights, Camera, Party! we decided to shoot a humourous live-action trailer that spoofs the usual party game ads and conveys the silly and chaotic nature of our game.

I’m really proud of our team’s work on the Lights, Camera, Party! and I wanted to give a few members of the team a chance to talk about their favorite mini-games. Enjoy!
