What’s up? Anything been happening in the last few weeks? It’s been getting a lot busier here at @SingStarHQ in the run-up to the festive season but we don’t mind that at all. Once you see what’s in the 14th December update and we see your little faces light up with excitement, that’s what makes it all worth it!

Anyway, it’s not time for that yet (three more weeks sleeps) so let’s get on with the penultimate update of 2011.

Included this week, a brand new single from the very popular Coldplay called ‘Paradise’, some more Spice Girls which some of you have been waiting for plus the massive ‘Insane In The Brain’ by ‘Cypress Hill’. Yo! The exclusive and brand spanking new Hi-NRG SongPack got a few people in the office quite excited to say the least and I hope you’ll feel the same way. Five NRG-packed tracks to jump around to by the queens of the genre including Sinitta, Sam Fox and Hazell Dean.

For those of you into DanceStar Party, we released ‘Mix 3′ on the PlayStation Store last week, containing four more tracks to get your dancing shoes out for. Check out what’s available for download right here.

Also, lots more exciting stuff to come your way on the SingStar front soon so watch this space for more info.

Happy Halloween! All got to work on time this morning with the clocks having gone back?
So, last week saw the release of SingStar ‘Back To The 80s’ which I was very excited about and I played it all weekend. Now my voice is gone. Hey ho! Anyone else had a go?

It’s also great to see all the videos and snaps people have been uploading whilst playing DanceStar Party on the website. Some excellent moves in there!

In the SingStore this week we have Aloe Blacc, A bit of Gloria Gaynor, Swing Out Sister and, already a modern classic, ‘You Get What You Give’ by the ‘New Radicals’.

FYI – coming up to Christmas we’ll be changing the space between updates a little but you’re probably already used to this from previous years. The next updates will be released on the following dates:

• 23 November 2011 – next update
• 14 December 2011 – final 2011 update
• 11 January 2012 – first update in 2012

Hi all,

Good weekend? It was ‘scorchio’ in London on Saturday so hope you all had a nice last Indian Summers Day wherever you were. Enough about the weather!

Not a big update this week but there are some quality tracks in there in my opinion. There’s Kelly Clarkson, Blondie and Dusty, keeping it all girlie, plus the boys also get a look in in the shape of The Offspring, REO Speedwagon and Tinchy Stryder & Dappy. Enjoy.

Ok, ok, I gladly take it all back. Summer was obviously far from over two weeks ago judging by me sitting in the office right now in shorts and a tee. I’d like to be wrong all the time in future if this is the outcome.

So, in case you need to cool down a little, get yourselves inside the house, fire up SingStar and download one of the beauties below. We’ve got Edwyn, Kelly and Martika for you plus a lovely Dusty Springfield song pack, an essential for those long summer evenings.

And if anyone’s even remotely interested, I’ll be going a little mental for The Offspring tracks although REO Speedwagon and The Damned are very close behind.
