Turning Blue

Countries: , , , ,

This is just a very short post to confirm that your eyes are not deceiving you – PlayStation.Blog now has a new colour scheme in line with the changes to PlayStation branding.

You may already have seen some of this new branding in action without realising it – for the last few weeks any game trailers we’ve posted have had a short blue intro instead of the old black ones. Similar changes have been made to TV and print advertising.

You’ll be seeing similar changes across all of our online channels over the coming weeks.

PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance

Countries: , , , ,

PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:00 on Thursday 17 November until 02:00 GMT on Friday November 2011.

During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

  • PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
  • PlayStation Network Account Management.
  • PlayStation Network Account Registration.

In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. However, if you sign in to PSN before 16:00 GMT on Thursday 17 November 2011 then you may be able to still play online.

During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

If you have any questions about this down time, feel free to visit the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com where you can post your query and a member of the Community Team will get back to you.

For the latest maintenance updates, visit the PlayStation Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com, keep an eye on our Facebook page at facebook.com/SonyPlayStation and follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/PlayStationEU.

PlayStation Move TV Ad Showing Now

Countries: , , , ,

If any of you use your television sets for anything other than games, you may have already seen this TV ad which will be running across Europe in the run-up to Christmas.

We have moved away from the usual motion gaming ads you are likely to have seen before (all smiles and bright white living rooms) towards a more stylised and epic narrative approach.

We hope you like it and we look forward to reading your thoughts in the comments.

Ra.One Brings A Taste Of Bollywood To PS Store

Countries: , , , ,

If you had a close look at last week’s PlayStation Store update (which I am sure most of you did) you may have spotted a new game called Ra.One. You may not have heard of it and, therefore, not given it much more thought. That is, if you`re not from India. Because in the second most populous country in the world, Ra.One is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of all time. It is so popular that the producers decided to develop an internationally released videogame out of it.

We held an interview with Atindriya Bose from PlayStation India to find out more about this rare title.
