Ingenious AR puzzler OPEN ME! coming soon to PS Vita

The creative minds at PlayStation C.A.M.P! have created an entirely original puzzle game and it has been creating a strong buzz ever since its debut at the Tokyo Game Show in 2012. Today we’re excited to announce that OPEN ME! – an addictive AR puzzle game for PS Vita – is coming to Europe later this year!

The goal in OPEN ME! is simple – open the box and collect items inside. This may sound easy but boxes are full of traps and players will need to look at them from every angle to find the slightest hint.

By using the camera on the PS Vita and Smart AR, it takes seconds to make the box appear on the screen. Touch the screen to open the box but be careful, the lids of some boxes are razor sharp and they will shut tight if you fail! Boxes range from a simple wooden design to more complicated and sophisticated structures made of metal and thinking outside the box is a requirement.

Do you like old school first person shooters? Do you own a PlayStation Vita or a certified PlayStation Mobile device? If the answer to both questions is yes, then we at Green Hill have some great news for you!

We’re very proud to announce the release of Gun Commando, an “old-school, new-cool” first person shooter, developed in collaboration with Abstraction Games & Ripstone Publishing, and coming to your PlayStation Mobile device this week!

Gun Commando is a distinctly classic first person shooter that combines 8-bit graphics with visceral game-play, in the likes of Wolvenstein and Duke Nukem. You play as Jack Bennett, a weapon-loving alien-hating gun-for-hire; that is called in to save the world from the invading aliens.

You may remember (or can read right here) about some of the cool stuff we’ve unveiled for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, chief among them the announcement that we’ll be supporting Cross Buy! But we’ll also be offering up some really cool AR features that you’ll be able to experience with your PS3 and PS Vita.

The Augmented Reality feature uses the PS Vita system to help you collect some valuable items as you play through the PS3 version of the game. Using the PS Vita system as a set of X-ray goggles, you can look into Sly’s universe to help track them down. (more…)

Soul Sacrifice: Inafune On Creating The Ultimate PS Vita Action Game

Countries: , , , ,

Make no mistake, the Japanese know how to queue. In the bowels of the PlayStation stand at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, line after line of patient gamers snake neatly through a maze of white chain-link barriers, intersecting each other like the world’s most organised spaghetti junction.

At the start of each queue stands an official with a whiteboard and a marker pen, methodically updating the estimated waiting time for each game. Of all the titles on show at Sony’s booth, which boasted the longest line? Yes, PS Vita action title Soul Sacrifice, with show-goers having to wait well over an hour for a chance to try it out.

It should perhaps come as no surprise that it’s the centre of attention. After a series of intriguing trailers, TGS presented the first opportunity to actually go hands-on with Mega Man creator and former Capcom R&D chief Keiji Inafune’s dark fantasy action title.
