‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (24th September 2009)

Howdy all, another week, another dollop of content for you all

I know it’s a tough act to follow last week’s offering, but I think we’ve done a good job of carrying on the momentum – but I leave it to you to see what you think.

Heavy Weapon joins the PSN game list on the store, we have three demos for you this week, starting with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, then a slice of Lost Planet 2 (with those extra bits to play for us PS3 owners) and if you didn’t check out The Punisher: No Mercy when it was released a while back, we also have a demo for that title now available too.

The standout bit of content this week for me (and that’s because I am a self-confessed fanboy) is the Broken Steel pack for Fallout 3, but we also have more challenges for Batman: Arkham Asylum, and extra content for UFC Unleashed 2009, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Madden NFL 10, Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Speaking of Guitar Hero we also have some special offers on a selection of tracks for this week only, and there are more details on this in the content list below.

For our PSP users you can test your rallying skills with Colin McRae DiRT 2, play with your food in Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs as well as get additional content for Prinny, and Rock Band Unplugged.

Not too shabby this week eh? As usual, leave your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll do my best to respond to as many as possible.

Special Offers

As detailed last week, PixelJunk Racers, High Velocity Bowling, Super Stardust HD Double Pack, Echochrome Micro and Disney’s Action Game feat. Hercules are still on special offer this week, however, we also have the below Guitar Hero Tracks available for one week only starting today:

Great update. Thanks guys.

Hello. Good update. But where is Final Fantasy Dissidia and all the other psp games?

Nothing specific to mention about Dissidia – but next week sees a LOT of PSP content coming to the store.

I’m probably going to be quite sparse with comments this week because I have so much planning to do for next week…but I hope next week you’ll all agree it’s worth it 😉

TGS week and only one PS3 game? Oh well at least i’ll get to play some Fallout again. Do we get another update tomorow with some TGS videos??

lost planet oh yeah! 😀

SuGaR_rAy_RiDeR 24 September, 2009 @ 10:09 am   5

nice and early this week i see 🙂

not a bad update… psone classics again, but saying that, alot of nice demos to keep me going for the week.

xKillerMonkeyx 24 September, 2009 @ 10:09 am   6

Nice update, does the six axis work with the Ninja Gaiden demo lol

Also get a reminder out about Dizzie Rascal later in case people forget

Isamu_Kanashii 24 September, 2009 @ 10:09 am   7

BROKEN STEEL!! Mike, you never cease to please me when it comes to the store updates.

It’s all about Broken Steel this week, that’s my evening and weekend taken over (at least!!) 😛

Lost Planet 2 demo!

I played it on my 360 and it was really good. Can’t wait to check out the new exclusive demo levels (which I think you should mention in your post ;p).

Any news on more Dynamic themes and the first wave of avatars??

Nice update Mike m8.. any news on the updzte 1.3 for Home. gonna defo try out Lost Planet 2 demo later before work

Awesome! More Batman: Arkham Asylum goodness! 😀

And finally.. BROKEN STEEL !!

uno ??? store jap !

That Guitar Hero pack is tempting. But still annoyed I brought the export key for £3 something and most of the songs from Guitar hero World Tour are not even on my Guitar Hero 5 list…

Great update though 🙂

kingofscotland 24 September, 2009 @ 10:13 am   14

Mike – I am so ANGRY – where do I start, there is just too much content!!!

We’ve been had again – too much content – it’s a disgrace – sort it out Mike 🙂

rage rage!! Sorry, won’t happen again, for the next few weeks we’ll release a couple of trailers only or something, that’ll teach ya 😉

Hhhhmmmmmm, busy planning next weeks update? Mike if you just want to head home and play Broken Steel you can tell us. We are all gamers here, lol

somethingatt 24 September, 2009 @ 10:14 am   16

Glad the Fallout DLC is finally here but at that price better of waiting until the 16th october and getting the game of the year edition for £29 with all 5 add ons included.
Anywho the Forza 3 demo is on live today so goodbye PS3 at least for the next week!

Excellent store update, Mike! Gonna have alot of fun with Fallout 3 DLC, Batman DLC and the Lost Planet 2 demo.

For tradition’s sake, what’s the status on MGS1 hitting the PSN? 😛

To carry on the tradition I don’t know 🙂 I’ll be able to share some info soon though I hope.

top update, I am EAGERLY awaiting the next update for some psp loving though!

Great update Mike! Looking forward to play Broken Steel, in between heavy NHL 10 sessions.

golden_gun83 24 September, 2009 @ 10:16 am   21

Great up date, looking forward to trying out The Punisher, and some more Batman challenges is good, cos it’s been on my mind to trade it in after finishin story mode in a couple of days……..

The big question though is ” is there any truth to the CoD WaW Map Pack 4 talk” ??????????? it’s not on your update list and i know alot of people are saying it is due out today, but is it just rumours ??????????

Nices demos ! I take them :). But I keep my money this week, nothing for me

Seems like a very good update. Lot of interesting content for me, few good demos and great DLC. Keep up the good work.

slayerking69 24 September, 2009 @ 10:20 am   24

Hi Mike,
Any ps1 classics coming to the store ever again?

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:20 am   25

Hi Mike.

Can’t say anything in this weeks update interests me.

Do you have a figure for the amount of PSP content coming to the store next week? The US/Japan are apparently getting like 400 games uploaded to their stores.

Any input would be appreciated by myself, and I’m sure PSPgo consumers.

Are those figures exaggerated?? 400, wow that’ll be something. I don’t have visibility on the US Store content for next week, but that’s a lot.

As long as everything I’m tracking for next week comes out of QA safely, then you’ll need a lot of fingers (borrow a few friends perhaps) to count each game being released next week 🙂

25 songs for guitarhero?? for 1.49?
are you guys high?
Keep up the good work! your doing an awesome job!

“UFC Unleashed 2009 – Additional Fighters (£2.99/€3.99)”

Do you mean UFC Unlimited 2009? 😉 Do you have the name, or at least numbers, of the new fighters?

Thumbs up for the LP2 demo but still no TMNT2 for us EU dwellers…. Meh! Pull your socks up and get it sorted! The US store has had it for 2 WEEKS now! 🙁

loonytoon1982 24 September, 2009 @ 10:26 am   29

Mike, can you shed some light on this Heavy Weapon game?

I MIGHT buy it but I’m undecided as I know nothing about it. I was kinda hoping to see Zombie Apocalypse though, where is it?

“Actually it’s Undisputed over here – that’s my typo error”

lol, by correcting you I was wrong too, a good way to look stupid.

loonytoon1982 24 September, 2009 @ 10:28 am   31

Scratch that comment about Heavy Weapon, it’s just another PopCap Game 🙁

No Zombie Apocalypse this week? Or is that next week? 360 got it yesterday, thought we’d get it today. Fun Game. Nice Job this week Mike! *Thumbs Up*

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:29 am   33

Sweet, thanks Mike.

I think Kaz Hirai said at TGS that when the Go launches in Japan it will launch with 700 titles. Also, I read somewhere that it’ll launch in the US with 400. I guess they probably were referring to games already available on the store as well.

How much are miniS going to cost?

CinderShadow 24 September, 2009 @ 10:29 am   34

Disappointed not to see Zombie Apocalypse on your list, here, Mike. Are you able to confirm either, or hopefully both of:
* It’s coming next week?
* Its demo will accompany it?

Also, I’d be delighted if you could offer an ETA on Hustle Kings.
Also, for the information of whoever decides if we get foreign releases: DO WANT FF8 downloadable from the Store! 😉

For those asking about ZA – it’s had to go into QA again, so we likely won’t see it for a fair few weeks yet. Sorry 🙁

Carnivius_Prime 24 September, 2009 @ 10:29 am   35

Nothing for me this week it seems. I loathed Fallout 3 (easily my least favorite game I bought in the last 5 years) and while I liked Arkham Asylum I sold it already to pay a bill.

What’s Heavy Weapon like? Not heard of it before.

Looking forward to more PS1 classics. Hopefully some of my faves will be coming at some point.

Hey wow, thanks for all these trailers from the Tokyo Game Show, they’re really good, especially The Last Guardian and FFXIV!

I can’t see how downloadable games will become common. DiRT 2 for PSP is listen on PSN for £24, while you can buy the UMD brand new for £18 (

Other than that, decent update :o)

off topic guys

have you all whom registered for MAG beta got the codes already?

i am still waiting:(

not so sure now if ill get a code at all:(

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:32 am   39

If ZA passed Microsuck’s QA, what stopped it from passing SCEE’s?

Sorry guys next week isnt good enough im canceling my PSP GO preorder, you need to at least announce whats coming next week, im not spending £225 on a handheld console, when you cant promise a single new title will be available for it other that GT5.

I know youve said lots of content is coming but for all i know thats just a load of rock band dlc and demos.

Very dissapointed 🙁

Not a bad update, some interesting demos to pick up there as well as more free DLC for Batman.

I never got Fallout 3 but I’m glad about that, at £7.99 (£6.80 on 360 😉 ) for each of them it will be miles cheaper to get the upcoming Game of the Year edition!

Also the pricing of Heavy Weapon has finally gotten it right! $9.99 in the US, €7.99 in Europe, £6.99 in the UK – THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE! None of this $9.99, €9.99, £7.99 nonsense!

I know publishers are free to set their pricing, but they must follow your lead, and you must see the logic in giving the Euro a more reasonable exchange rate to the Dollar, which then can filter to the UK release using a more realistic £/€ exchange rate! Plus it keeps you in line with your competitors pricing!

I really wish SCEE would address this and apply a transparent, consistent, and fair rate of exchange across all their PSN releases. If your competitors can do it why can’t you?

I know you’ll not be able to comment on this, if you reply to it at all, but please feed it back to your manager or whoever it is that is responsible for these decisions – it’s what your customers want and will no doubt drive up sales (think back to all those I’m not paying £11.99 for Fat Princess comments etc).

What do you say Mike? Don’t make me call Watchdog about it – I’ll set the AnneDroid on you again! 😀 😉

Any news about Brutal Legend demo?

Omg Mike, your a legend 😀

Any news on if we will be getting any more PS1 Classics any time soon? I’ve recently got my PSP all up and running on the latest firmware and playing FFVII on it is just the beginning hopefully.

Any chance we will get some of the stuff the US store has seen? Or something else? What about more Final Fantasys? lol

Also, any news on Disgaea 3 trophies?

Sorry for all the questions

Great update, but where is “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled”?

£7.99 for Broken steel? If that’s how much they’re all going to be then I think I’ll hold out for the GOTY edition!

Hi Mike, with the release of the psp go and store content next week, will any psone games be uploaded or is just past umd titles? Don’t need to go into specifics, just a yay or nay would be appreciated 🙂 Cheers fella, b0yr6c3r

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:39 am   48

Oh yeah, do you know anything about Dreamcast and/or PS2 titles becoming available on the store, Mike? Sega seem to think so…

loonytoon1982 24 September, 2009 @ 10:39 am   49

Posted on 24 September, 2009 at 10:30 am by Mike Kebby

For those asking about ZA – it’s had to go into QA again, so we likely won’t see it for a fair few weeks yet. Sorry

That sucks 🙁

It was the one game I was looking forward to tiding me over until FIFA and Uncharted 2. I already Platinumed last weeks big release in Trine so that’s no use to me now.

“(…)and Disney’s Action Game feat. Hercules are still on special offer this week”

Hi Mike, great update today 😀 but the Hercules PSOne classic is not at the Spanish Store, any idea about that?

LoneJustice87 24 September, 2009 @ 10:44 am   51

Hey Mike, don’t suppose you know if there’s gonna be a Fallout DLC bundle? cheers.

when can we expect turtles in time reshelled?

Mike, we know there will be at least two DLC packs for Dirt 2 (The names of them are actually listed in the game).

Any idea if they are on the horizon?

Why are there no more PS1 Classics coming?

Hi Mike! I know this is the EU forum and all, but us Yankees don’t get any answers on the bloody US board… Would you happen to know when us gits will be gettin’ Trine over in the states? Much thanks, Tiger

Sorry Tiger, I wouldn’t comment on any release dates for the US even if I knew, I’m not going to step on my US counterparts toes.

commuterzombie 24 September, 2009 @ 10:46 am   56

Hi Mike, thanks for the update, any word on who the fighters in the UFC DLC are?

Woo! Broken Steel pack! Timeot get stuck back into Fallout 3 and add some trophies to my Platinum! 🙂

Good update this week mike!

My trophy percentage for Fallout has dropped so much since the patch- have to work hard to get it back up to a respectable amount again! 😀

Hey mike just want to know has the cross edge DLC been submitted for our store?

i’m thinking about buying it tomorrow but not sure if there is no news about DLC

Any comments on Trine’s price on the danish store last week? Was it an error that’s getting fixed, or does Denmark indeed have to pay 33% more than UK and the €-countries.

sephiroth180 24 September, 2009 @ 10:47 am   60

Good update! 🙂 Mike, question for ya (please answer. :P) Square announced Final Fantasy 8 would be hitting PSN. Is it coming to the european store and when?

very good update today well done guys, keep up the good work thanks

Great update! Some nice demos this week!

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:51 am   63

I’ll take your reply as confirmation that DC/PS2 titles will launch exclusively on the EU PSN next Thursday. Thanks. Don’t let me down! 😀

Another week, another pathetic update. Seems last week was a break from the norm, and now standard service has been resumed.

You do know that the PSPgo comes out next week, yes?! No PSone games, and 2 overpriced PSP games. Well done Sony. Honestly, miracles want to be performed next week, otherwise there is no point in spending £225(!!) on a PSPgo. FAIL. Oh, and the PSPgo accessory converter that I’ve just seen is absolutely laughable. MAJOR FAIL.

Still no TMNT for the PS3. I’ll give you a hand here: “Cowabunga Dudes” is the same in English, French, German etc… Why are we having to wait for TMNT, it’s been out on the US Store for a couple of weeks now.

Overall a completely rubbish week unless you like playing with toy guitars.

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 10:55 am   65

Next weeks Dynamic Themes. Would it be possible to let us know what they are today?

Sorry, just in case for some reason they don’t make it (which shouldn’t happen, but just in case) no.

LagunaHeartly 24 September, 2009 @ 10:57 am   66

It’s great update especially Broken Steel , but Russia never get any of guitar hero or rock band dlc do we?((

Hope to see the store gets updated more on time this week. Last week was pretty much a friday update.

When should we expect deTuned to arrive on our Store?

MIKE!!!! Why no Dynamic Guinness theme for Arthur Guinness Day 🙂

Fallout 3 DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

three dog, trusty AR-21 Plasma rifle, Fawkes, Fatman, dogmeat, i have missed you so. Time to dust off my pip boy.

I thought we were gonna get brutal legend demo today? If it comes out while I’m uni, I’ll be sad :(. Also standard question for the week: Saw demo? Even a release date? I wanna do a full game/film maraton but need to know which weekend to take off work. Thanks Mike. Good update too. Hope they support Batman AA for a long time yet.

wasn’t zombie apocalypse scheduled for release this week or was that just in the US?

Listen ACIDFACE don’t make me repeat myself 😛

Zombie is delayed because of issues in QA, so hopefully with us within a few weeks or so.

Great update Mike! Finally BS in our hands! But, do you know if the 9.99€ price will be the same for all the Fallout 3 expansions? I. E. The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, etc…

In that case they’ll be more expensive than the game itself. And almost the same price as Fallout 3 GOTY Edition…

With Beatles Rock band, there were alot of great beatles songs missing.. Do you know if theres any DLC coming out?

Darkscorpius 24 September, 2009 @ 11:18 am   75

nice update. I’ll only be downloading the batman dlc and lost planet 2 demo tho. I’m waiting for the goty edition of fallout, got £30 worth of points on my game card for it lol.

cheers for the unofficial confirmation of ps2/dc games coming to the ps3 Mike :p At least I hope it’s true and Sega also release panzer dragoon saga and burning rangers.

as for ff8, does your comment mean it’s definitely coming to europe? I don’t care when it comes, just that it does, it’s my favourite ff.

Gavin_Rozee 24 September, 2009 @ 11:18 am   76

I need new avatars!

Mike, I dont know if you can answer this, but here it goes. When the PSP Go gets released on Thursday next week, I intend to buy it around 9:00 when the shops open (eager beaver). I intend to download the PSP GO Gran Tourismo theme so I can get my free copy of GT, but I was reading the terms and conditions on the PSP UK website and it says the offer is on from 12:00 PM on the 1st.

Does this mean I have to wait till after mid day before downloading the theme to be counted for the offer, or will I be okay to download it straight away. I know this is probably not the place to ask, but I didn’t know who else to ask?

I’m hoping that all this will be explained in another blog post at some point – I’m not the best person to ask.

jimmy-google 24 September, 2009 @ 11:21 am   78

Hi Mike,

Do you know when Motorstorm Arctic Edge is going on the store as its been in the shops for the last week? My guess is that its being held back for the pspgo launch next week.

Oh and @64

You can get a PSP Go off for £199.99 which will also get you a free copy of Gran Turismo is you get it early enough. And the overpriced PSP games are actually cheaper than going into a store and buying them. If you want to save more money you can get £20 PSN cards from for £16 (thats a 20% saving).

Great Update! NGS2 and LP2 demo + Fallout3 DLC, excellent! 🙂

@Mike SORRY MIKEFACE!! i did look over the comments but didn’t see any about it! show me mercy!

enjoy your time with fallout mate 🙂

No, no mercy shall be shown this week – I am tired and ansty 🙂

Thanks dude, I’m like a squealing fanboy at the moment…can’t wait to get home! Fallout, Fallout 😉

Hi Mike,

Sorry to bring this up again, but I still can’t find the Rock Band songs I mentioned last week. Also, in de ingame store I couldn’t find last weeks update either.

Could you please have another look?

yeah by saying not going to touch the dc/ps2 subject we can take that to gaf as a confirmation from a sony employee! 😀

Has Mike made another release announcement? 😉

Okay for those who have asked about Turtles In Time it’s coming next week!! (I just wanted to check with Ubisoft that they were happy for me to mention it) 😛

Where is Invincible Tiger? Is it not coming?

i j u s t so hApPy ! caN T wRIT e LOL

@83 no not yet.. couldnt sqeeze info out of him this week 😉 😛

Agent_Cooper 24 September, 2009 @ 11:32 am   88

Anyone has any news about the Disgaea update (aka 2.30)?

Kazemaru-san 24 September, 2009 @ 11:32 am   89

Broken Steel… at last!! I was longing for more Fallout3 goodness… ;_;

Posted on 24 September, 2009 at 11:07 am by Mike Kebby
Listen, if you’re going to have a moan please read my comments first…

Hear, Hear! You tell ’em Mikey! 😉

Don’t listen to them Mike, some people don’t know the difference between a ‘bad update’ and a ‘good but nothing I fancy update’!

It’s a shame there is no way to filter the comments to only show yours, or only show comments with replies, or have a little button on the reply that jumps you to the next reply etc. That way people would be more likely to read/think before posting – even if you just put some text next to the Submit button that says something like “Please read all the Official Replies before posting in case your comment has already been addressed”.

P.S. I forgot to mention in my earlier comment, thanks for getting the update posted so early this week – you’ve been a bit late the last two weeks 😉

    Good ideas 😉

By the way – my updates were written and all ready well in advance the last two weeks, just seems I wasn’t that important and was bumped down the billing – this week it’s back where the PSN Store belongs, right at the top of the bill!! muhahahaha

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 11:35 am   91

Mike how do i get the update i’ve been waiting ages for broken steel and i just wanna get it when will i get the update!

Cool demo’s.

When are PSN cards coming to the UK?

PLEASE REPLY TO THIS. I noticed DiRT 2 for PSP is £23.99! The game is only £17.99 in most stores. I have a PSP GO on pre-order and i am now cancelling it as i don’t understand why we should have to pay more for the games. Why are they priced higher than the UMD versions? Are Sony stupid? I really wanted to get a psp go and now it just makes it un-buyable!

    I’ll reply, but I don’t have anything to say…sorry, it’s a subject I can’t get drawn into.

“I know it’s a tough act to follow last week’s offering…”

Not really if you look at it from a PSP customer’s point of view. 😛

Would it be perhaps be a good idea to divide the Playstion blog into two separate sections; one for the PS3 platform and one for the PSP? In that way content would be easier to find and more relevant for everyone. The tag system isn’t sufficient enough, imo.

Did Mike just indirectly confirm the PS2/DC rumours?

If one more person asks this I’m going to…well I don’t know what, but something 🙂 All I said was I’m not going to touch that one – take from that whatever you will, that seems to be how the internet works anyway…

SiRobertson 24 September, 2009 @ 11:38 am   96

I know this is completely unrelated to the Store update, sorry, but there is no where else to ask this and there is at least one cool person from SCEE (that’s you Mike) with an eye on these comments.

When is the SingStar space in Home going to be available? Sony cannot make it available this evening (6-8pm) because the amount of downloads and user logins that space is going to get will (more than likely) kill the Home servers, not something anyone will want just before the Rizzee Rascal event starts.

Thanks, and sorry for the off-topicness again. 🙂

………….PS1 Classics any time soon?

Also a general psn store question. Where is ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE?

I literally have mentioned this twice already…

    /calm down Mike, calm down

Sorry, am far too tired today to keep repeating myself 🙁

Ok, i read about zombie apocalypse? Why hasn’t this been done yet, its ridiculous. The xbox live team manage to get games online and a day before, and not just a day before they do it right in the morning and we have to wait till ‘some time after 6’ HIRE MORE STAFF FOR GOD SAKE! This isnt a personal attack on you Mike its just ridiculous! Il come and work for you if you want il make sure content is released on time. lol maybe its not as easy as i make out but xbox live team manage.

I know it’s not personal dude – I don’t know how MS do it, but they obviously have a different QA process than us – unfortunately it something fails QA once, it adds weeks to the release date, because of the need to resubmit and try to get through QA again.

Hi Mike, any chance of Final Fantasy VIII today? cheers

will the update be a late one like the last few weeks? cuz if so i can stop refreshing the store all day waitin for broken steal. ÷) Ta

Hopefully not – we had publishing problems these last two weeks, I’m hoping we don’t encounter them again.

Is it going to be another later one today mike? Cheers, enjoy Broken Steel!

Mike needs coffee

And some toast

And a large inflatable hammer

Yes, yes, and definitely yes to that last one – that would give me immeasurable amounts of pleasure 😛

whoismilan 24 September, 2009 @ 11:46 am   104

Do you know if Final Fantasy VIII (which was just announced in Japan) will make it to Europe eventually also?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 11:46 am   105

Mike Kebby can u plz help me out with my problem, i haven’t yet got the store update

Nobody has buddy – these blog updates are a ‘heads-up’, once the store goes live I update in the comments section 😉

GunstarHeroX 24 September, 2009 @ 11:47 am   106

Will the store ever go back to being updated around 5-6pm? It was nice having a bunch of new stuff waiting for me when I get home from work. It seems since that much-loathed firmware update which shall remain nameless (:x RAGE!!) that the store doesn’t get updated until closer to 10pm or so, maybe even later. Might as well call it the Friday update instead by the time the stuff gets updated.

Not complaining, just curious.

Killer_Paul 24 September, 2009 @ 11:47 am   107

Mike when is the EU PlayStation store going to get more PS1 games? I really want all the Tomb Raider games the US have 🙁

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 11:47 am   108

whene does TMNT and avatars and videozone come to the swedish playstation store?

sandystrachan 24 September, 2009 @ 11:48 am   109

I wont be able to DL the batman stuff or the demos , blumming MAG hasnt finished downloading yet . at this rate it will be next week before i get to do anything .

Thanks for the replies Mike, its good of you to actually speak to the community as you do. Great Job! I guess when people get disappointed they can come here and shout at you, it seems to happen alot ive noticed. Cheers and all the best!

jimmy-google 24 September, 2009 @ 11:48 am   111

Any news on Motorstorm download for PSP at all… ?

RagingAvatar 24 September, 2009 @ 11:49 am   112

Hi Mike,

Is there no RockBand Pearl Jam album bundle? The RockBand website seems to think there is..

I’ve been loving listening to this album (Backspacer) all week so I was looking forward to the bundle..?

SmokingGnuMkII 24 September, 2009 @ 11:49 am   113

With the PSP Go out next week, has there been any mention of the UMD-digital offer mentioned a while ago. Or will that be only for americans?

(on floor prayin) PLEASE NOT LATE ÷)

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 11:50 am   115

ok thanks, i called playsation and they said about 4pm is that right and what time do u reckon the update will happen

Haha, who did you call and how would they know? 😛

That makes me chuckle – nobody except the store team knows what time we’ll publish, and they don’t man the phones.

Todays update is not too shabby at all, the only thing that grates is the punisher demo…… i could have done with that before i wasted my money on it…….. a least other’s will be saved from making my mistake. 😉

Not a question, just a thought, but next thursday when the PSP Go gets released, it would be nice to see a very early store update for the PSP stuff. Its going to be a bummer getting a PSP Go, and then not being able to do anything new and exciting with it till late that evening 🙂 Can you tell I am really excited about the PSP Go. I can’t even sleep properly (SAD)

blaikieboii, it’s usually around 5PM-6PM english time

Sweet more batman goodies 😀

Good update but (always a but) will there be any more PSone classics coming soon? Be nice to see a twisted metal game :]

Mike can you confirm that (as I expect it will) all the Fallout 3 DLC will be the same price?

Will there be any kind of pack once they are all released to lower the price?

Any news when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is coming to EU? Have a little kid that realy wants to play the entire game (downloaded the demo from the US store)

Thanks 🙂

Thank for the update.

Thanks Mike, The positioning of your comment on page 2 now makes me look like a person who was asking about TMNT 🙁

When everyone knows that I’m actually desperate for the Pippa Funnell games to appear on PS3 😉

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 11:56 am   125

ok FDC1 thanks for the info CAN’T WAIT for Broken Steel! i’ve been waiting since June and im frothing at the mouth for the update 🙂

Will PS2 games ever come to PSN? 😉 Good update 😉

Kung_Fu_Russ 24 September, 2009 @ 11:56 am   127

Don’t suppose you have any info for me mike about the cross edge stuff?

Also anything about a wolfenstein demo?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:02 pm   129

so mike kebby what the woman on the phone told me was all a lie? im sorry if i keep asking but can u give me a time for the update as im bored and wanna play Broken Steel!

CheesySnake 24 September, 2009 @ 12:05 pm   130

“Posted on 24 September, 2009 at 10:39 am by Gavin_Rozee

Oh yeah, do you know anything about Dreamcast and/or PS2 titles becoming available on the store, Mike? Sega seem to think so…

Posted on 24 September, 2009 at 10:41 am by Mike Kebby

There is no way I am even going to touch this one…”

I like the fact that that isn’t a denial ;p. In any case, one awesome update this week. Fair enough I’m only going to get the free stuff (I’m waiting for the Fallout GOTY due to a lack of cash and hard drive space) but it’s still pretty damn good.

@ blaikieboii

the store normaly updates around after 4PM depending on content and if there are any problems holding up content

so you have a while to wait

GigaBowser007 24 September, 2009 @ 12:05 pm   132

Hmmm, I was really hoping Turtles in Time would be on this week. Now I have to download Bomberman Ultra to keep me busy for another week. I hope. 😛
Other than that, a good update! 😀

twoofclubs 24 September, 2009 @ 12:06 pm   133

Pretty good update this week. I’m very much looking forward to the Fallout expansion. The only question I have is aside from allowing the game to continue after the ending and the level cap increased to 30, are there any other specific changes that it makes? I know I should research it myself but seeing as you, the legend that is Mike Kebby, seems to be pretty pumped about it I figured you might be able to furnish me with an answer.

Have a lovely day!

Broken Steel adds a couple of quests I believe, as well as letting you play on after the original ending, raise the level cap, and I think there’s also a few new perks too.

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:06 pm   134

ok cheers for that roxa598

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:07 pm   135

i hope for more good stuff next week. this week was not a good update 🙁

Its a good update Sir keddy however SCEA store update be even better.

but that not the topic i wanted to ASK.

i read of what sega blunder (leaked) a meno to SCEA concerning dreamcast games on psn not just that but ps2 on SCEA psn as well & this is fantastic i wanted this i ask for this, i said “can we go to the scea & convert our money to buy in the scea store”

& the sega leaked meno confirm it as well as the stuff i said they to be a japanese import store in scea store.

so the question is…… will we scee get that on our store? practical the scea store import store will be for us its a tall order but mike ask the higher ups, this will be a money spinner if the devs cant be bother to do our games in our region then you (scee) should at least give us the option to do so

as for the devs im asking you, why the delay why the scea 1st, scee 2nd we in uk are 2nd in the market, so the question to you devs is…..
what is your EXCUSE?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:08 pm   137

what are u talking about m8 this weeks updates going to be AMAZING!

Good work on the PSN update again. I look forward to all the PSP games next week too, though it looks like I’ll have to invest in a few PSN cards when they appear (apparently now on 1st Oct with the PSP GO!).

I’ll go get some games traded in!

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:13 pm   139

so mike do u work for playstation

Of course – I work in the PSN Store Management team and help look after the release schedules and store updates (amongst many other things).

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:18 pm   140

mike will there be any price cut on the Broken Steel when the updates released

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:21 pm   141

do you know iif there is coming out a demo to Aliens vs. Predator?

rmccloskey 24 September, 2009 @ 12:22 pm   142

Anyone know who i could contact about the MAG Beta Contest? i registered but haven’t received a code, as they said everyone who did register would get 1…

btw NG2 & LP2 are awesome

Nice update Mr.Kebby, nothing for me this time, but good work!

Let’s see if I guess the “responsible guys” evil agenda towards the Ps classics debacle(not asking for any answer here)…

1-Bureaucracy cost for bringing PS1 classic may exceed in some cases the price of release in europe, that’s what “localization” costs meant, consumption of time=money, that’s why we usually get shafted with overpricing.

2-Higher quality PS2/DC games may be easier to deal with since they were not released so very long ago.The cost may be the same or less than bringing PS1 items, plus, they can(logically)carry a superior pricetag.

3-You sneaky %&x#s!,you had no orders to work it out!: you are going to “Import” them for us heh?,less headaches with the pricing per region if it’s sold as a Rare Item hmm? less language localization hmm? and since we’ve been MONTHS giving feedback of what precise games we long for,you know exactly how much(more)are we willing to pay.Give me a break,I’m not a cow.

Please, marketing dept or whoever responsible, go jump in a cold lake to never return.

As for me,I’ll keep my posts sourless from now on, sorry but THIS one issue called out for heaven, is a pristine, outraging milking.

psychobudgie 24 September, 2009 @ 12:24 pm   144

Why is the Fallout 3 add on more expensive than the 360 version? I admit it’s only a £1 but it’s still a pound I could spend elsewhere.

YobRenoops 24 September, 2009 @ 12:25 pm   145

Mike, just a quickie. Any news on Peggle coming to PSN. It was announced with all the PopCap games at the start of the year. I really need some Peggle crack…

TrevDaRev321 24 September, 2009 @ 12:28 pm   146

Broken Steel..Yesssssss

Only £7.99

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:30 pm   147

TrevDaRev321 add me blaikieboii to ur friends list and i’ll share some Fallout 3 tips

geddesmond2 24 September, 2009 @ 12:32 pm   148

Nice update. Wow Fallout 3 DLC. Bethesda were not kidding when they said 10 euroes each pack.

Wow I guess I’ll wait 3 more weeks for the GOTY edition. Smyths toy store has it priced at 35 euros and they are giving 15 euros in store credit for trading in Fallout 3. No Downloading either

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:32 pm   149

fallout 3 sucks ass. i did not like that game at all. you must be a fallout fan to like that game.

humm decent update, I’ll get all three demos to kill some time, the one demo i really want is not on the list however, poor old Brutal Legend. I’m going to assume the rumors are true then and X-box does infact get it a week earlier then us. I’ll be away for the next update so not going i have a chance to play the demo for awhile.

just a quick question, if X-box releases the demo a week earlier then you guys, and everyone with multiple platform who is interested in said demo gets it for X-box (and presumably having played it will not get it for PSN) wouldn’t that equate to more of these people buying the game for X-box rather then PlayStation as they have had a chance to get a hang of the controls on that system? (while also annoying the loyal PlayStation Fanboys who can’t access the demo?)

Broken Steel =

3 Main Quests
3 Side Quests
14 Perks
6 Trophies (3 Bronze, 2 Silver, 1 Gold)

And of course the raising of the Level Cap.

+ 3 other random encounter quests

bravo9zero 24 September, 2009 @ 12:36 pm   153

Mike any chance you can release Fallout Broken steel DLC now?
So I can play It.

I can’t wait another 4 hours!!
I’m an addict 😉

Go on, Pull some strings Mike 😉

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 12:36 pm   154

what random encouter quests does it add?

whoismilan 24 September, 2009 @ 12:37 pm   155

PSP GO preorder – cancelled.

There are too few PSP games, and absolutely nothing appears to change about that (we’ve heard that the good stuff will come “soon” for far too long with both the PSP and PS3). Making promises about “next week” holds zero weight after all the BS recently.

Also still nothing announced on if it will be possible to get UMD games on it, and the PSone classics program appear to be cancelled in Europe…

ShogunDarius 24 September, 2009 @ 12:39 pm   156

no tmnt again? dissapointed again. and with the fallout dlc at £8, that is £8 x 5 = £40, goty fallout 3 = £30 (ig you know where)poor show.

On the other hand, If they consider to import things without crossing a very basic line of pricing abuse, I could eat my words very soon I guess. Not even asking for PS2 Disk retrocomp…guess that’s not in the cards for several reasons, loss of digital sales and unnecesary wearing & tearing of the Disk Drive(12xDVD vs 2xBR)amongst them.

Oh god… I’m just hurt ’cause I want PC engine classics to be brought here xD

Mike has already announced the BIG PSP store update is next week:

“As long as everything I’m tracking for next week comes out of QA safely, then you’ll need a lot of fingers (borrow a few friends perhaps) to count each game being released next week “

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:42 pm   159

last time it was a good update was when Resistance 2 come out with game packs. i miss the good updates 🙁

as mike said earlier there are loads of PSP updates coming next week,i believe it was also said at E3 that the thursday the GO is released loads of PSP games will be uploaded to the store.

Also you can choose 5 of your UMD games to download for FREE of the store you just need to have one of the old PSPs for it to work

@154 just simple “collect these for caps” quests

hey i said its good but you not see the scea store yet, i see mikeface lol deliberately skip me post RWWWAAAAAAARRRRR

so i take that as a MAYBE, just 1 other thing in TGS 09 how much HOME cost for the psp a mini-home. i think it be FREE. 😛

Scourgewood 24 September, 2009 @ 12:46 pm   163

Mike: Any word on when “detuned” is coming out in UK/Europe? I Wanna play with the Calodox Elephant head!! 😉

Dante_Zero 24 September, 2009 @ 12:49 pm   164

steps forward one step backwards. just when i thoughn it were going right it goes wrong again. No .detuned no tmnt and £7.99 really for Broken steel fallout 3 pack for something thats been out for a great many months on the systemt hat shall not be named. if all fallout 3 dlc is 7.99 might as well buy:GOTY as it works out alot cheaper. No new dynamic theme’s no new avatars no psone classics no TGS media. Lame just real Lame. I think that if we have another couple of months like this i can garuntee that there will be an empty space in my entertainment setup which will be filled very quickly with a certain green glow. sick of feeling that because of being eurnopea im not good enough to purchase good content available else where.

Mike Kebby and all of Sony, I LOVE YOU. Plain and simple, I do, the Dreamcast was one of my favourite consoles of all time, as was the PS2, the thought of being able to play these games again has proved once again I made the right choice with Sony and PS3, seriously, pure man love to you all. Plus PSP stuff = even more awesomeness *head explodes*

Kyo_Daikun 24 September, 2009 @ 12:51 pm   166

Cheers for the update Mike, broken steel is a 100% purchase tonight 🙂

Would you be able to give a rough figure on the psp games coming out next week as I think it is something that is making people hold off on the PSPgo (Just think, you could single handedly increase the sales of the go by bajillions!)

Me and Fallout… we don’t get along

Me and Arkham Asylum do though 🙂

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 1:01 pm

Well I’m a sucker for both games, they’re both incredible in differing ways 🙂

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:53 pm   168

fallout 3 was a game that suck.

Morphweasel 24 September, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   169

Here’s a quick question, Mike!

25 GH:WT DLC tracks for 1,50 euro…
Like in 1,50 for each track or 1,50 for the entire DLC pack?

It would almost be too good to be true 😛

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   170

do anyone know if Aliens vs Predator comes out in demo?

cognac-vsop 24 September, 2009 @ 12:55 pm   171

as long as the free batman packs keep coming, im happy. love that game.

I’ll test out Lost Planet 2, and I’ll pick up Broken Steel if the rpice is right ;). What would the price happen to be in AUD?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 1:04 pm   173

Mike whats your favourite game u’ve played on the ps3?

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 1:11 pm

Well my favourite game so far has been Fallout 3 without a doubt, closely followed by Batman: Arkham Asylum, however for PS3 exclusive titles it would be a close call between Killzone 2 and inFamous 🙂

    What about you then?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 1:08 pm   174

mike can u give an estimated time of the update ;). pla reply!

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   175

mike can u give an estimated time of the update ;). plz* reply!

InfamousPsy21 24 September, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   176

donno why people would get the pal version of FFVIII, just get the american version making a fake account for US, and download the better version with better framerate and no borders

Mike doesn’t know already

just go do something to kill time

can’t really complain about this week’s update, apart from the still lacking ps1 titles, british titles as well to add insult to injury.
i guess scee just aren’t as good at their jobs as nintendo europe are, if they, nintendo, can overcome the legal issues with different company’s games from different company’s console while scee can’t manage their own games from their own consoles then it’s clear nintendo are just plain better at this.
i do have one question, when are the store cards being released?
we were told september, after two years preparing to bring these out scee can’t still be having last minutes delays.
still it’s great that scee got the fallout dlc out on time, was worried it would be like the oblivion dlc, which never did see the light of day on the eu store.
i can’t believe i’m congratulating you on getting content out on time when really that should be a given.

vherostar 24 September, 2009 @ 1:12 pm   179

What happened to zombie apocalypse? I thought it was slated for a release today..

opticdeath 24 September, 2009 @ 1:13 pm   180

We’ve been getting good updates for the past few weeks 😀 Can’t wait for the Batman DLC!

Any news on the Uncharted 2 demo?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 1:15 pm   182

yh mike i agree without a doubt my favourite game has to be FALLOUT 3

Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo?

@178, It’s not even on time, it was meant to be out over the summer remember? 😀

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 1:20 pm   185

i wanna have Aliens 4 in the store. that game to ps one. then i can download something

Geese85snk 24 September, 2009 @ 1:28 pm   186

Great update but I feel a little let down with the ps1 games we need more of them & fast just to mention a few favorites Brigandine, Grandia, Just more rpg’s in general would be great.

Why can’t we just import our own PS1 games anyway? I can’t imagine it would be much hassle to install them to our PS3 hard drive and then copy them over to PSP…. oh wait, yeah… no money for sony that way I guess.

I guess helping the Consumer really does come last aye?

Stud_Kick_Ass 24 September, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   188

Hey Mike, thanks for the update.

Three questions.

The usual two are any updates for Metal Gear Solid and TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled?

The third question is the US store gets Zombie Apocalypse this week, how come we don’t get it this week?

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 1:36 pm   189

i wanna have a update to the ps3 that all your downloaded games that you dont want any more you can get somethink for them. then only throw them away. that sucks.

@ 188

TMNT is next week, still no news on MGS and Zombie Apocalypse was pushed back because it failed QA and has to be resubmitted.

SHINTA-TAICHOU 24 September, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   191

Hello Mike, It’s a great update. I want to ask you something, please answer me: I want to send some feedbacks and suggestions to SCEE, but I don’t know any address to do it. Can you provide me with an address to make it?. Thank you.

rob_dee81 24 September, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   192

Well i for one are more than happy to pay that little bit extra cash to play Fallout dlc before gty edition , so all you tight pocketed moaners can wait twiddling your thumbs till gty is released and i,ll be roaming the wastes with a little less money in my pockets but having a great time!!! ………..fantastic update , keep it up

Croopnick_PL 24 September, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   193

When we get NfS Shift demo?
anyone knows?

Stud_Kick_Ass 24 September, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   194

@ 190

Any chance that Australia will get it then? Chances are we won’t as we get everything later.

Any reason why TMNT is delayed? It’s been out for a few weeks on the US store.

Lastly, why won’t Konami just give us what we want :(.

Presskohle 24 September, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   195

blaikieboii, whats wrong with you 😉

You’re kicking ass and taking names today Mike….AND I LIKE IT! More of this please. Far too many people of questionable intellect coming on and asking the same questions. “Too lazy to read the other posts? Why should Mike bother answering you” You’ll notice there was no question mark for the second sentence, as it was rhetorical. I like this version of Mike. High five!!!!!

ElMagnifico83 24 September, 2009 @ 1:46 pm   197

So are the psn cards coming next week i’ve seen the question asked but not answered , i wanna get one so i can get tmnt next week

Looks like a healthy update, but I’m afraid I’m far too busy getting blown up, shot and stabbed in the MAG beta 🙂

Keep up the good work!

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   199

what do u mean presskohle, are u going to say when the updates released

Any news on the Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Demo, I remember Codies saying there will be one pre-release?

Thanks, Mike.

Ziggy-Moff 24 September, 2009 @ 1:55 pm   201

No Gravity Crash yet thank god, i didn’t want that on here today as i’m skint at the moment, i would cry if it was available and i couldn’t buy it :D.

FFObsessed 24 September, 2009 @ 1:57 pm   202

I prayed at my Mike Kebby shrine all night but alas, no PS1 games 🙁

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 2:06 pm   204

mike are u going to say when the updates released? 🙂

Hi Mike, any news on an Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo coming soon?

SuGaR_rAy_RiDeR 24 September, 2009 @ 2:12 pm   206

SHINTA-TAICHOU 24 September, 2009 @ 2:13 pm   207

I’m so sorry, I never saw it when I was looking for T.T, I have to put on my glasses more often.

macbelonwu10 24 September, 2009 @ 2:15 pm   208

Please tell me that this week we don’t have to wait till 6ish or even as late as 8 to receive the updates, Mike you promised us that the delays were temporary.

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 2:19 pm   209

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 2:30 pm

I can’t give you a time, as I don’t know just yet. As soon as the store is ready to publish I’ll update here in the comments section.

come on blaikieboii, stop asking, we have already answered to you several times. normally 5PM to 6PM. What’s so hard to understand?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 2:24 pm   211

im just so desperate to play it i’ll stop asking i just wanted to be sure of time!

Amherst_Wind_4 24 September, 2009 @ 2:24 pm   212

Mike, you’re a tough guy, you’ve braved the Wasteland afterall! So do us all a favour and go take your Super Sledge down the corridor to the Q&A room and give them all a taste of Wasteland Justice for us? 🙂

Shucks. Was kinda looking forward to seeing the Brutal Legend demo on the Store. Here’s hoping the US Store can acquiesce my request

Arlanthir 24 September, 2009 @ 2:26 pm   214

I’m feeling some European love by Sony now, this is how it’s supposed to be 😀

Solid updates the past couple of weeks, promises of a major PSP update next week, Mike addressing almost everyone on the blog! Keep it up!

Great to know you’ll be giving feedback on the prices, even though it’s not your department. It’s the only concern I have right now about the next (long-run) store updates.

Anyway, mission accomplished by Sony, you keep making me want to play on both consoles 😉
Almost having the courage to pick up Fallout3 again now, I got a bit tired of the “hey, go to the other side of the map with minimal ammo and lots of angry giant troll-like guys” thing :S Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I always get the feeling I’m under-leveled with less quests, equipment, knowledge than I should be :S

PS: I think it’s not fair that we ask Mike to feedback on the other guys for us and yet we don’t give any feedback on him! Going to use that ‘Contact us’ link to make some justice.

oh this sucks…HARD, all i heard this week was ” LBP: Water will be o nthe store this week!!!” and now…nothing, god, i know the beta jsut started orw/e and Mm didnt announce a date but when almost all ur friends rant about it for a whole week well..yeah -_-

FALLOUT 3 was a great game, nice to see some DLC for it, but i sold my copy, like i said great game but the charecter movement speed totally killed it for me -_- but i WAS gonna run down to EB and get it again but broken steel doesant seem to add much ( based off wat u said ) so i dont think i will…. another good update.for everyone els,e but for me…..another week of GTA > LBP > Warhawk > demons souls > rinse and repeat..its getting boring -_- mike.

mike did you get in the mag beta or were you not aloud as you work 4 sony?

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 2:39 pm

I may have done 🙂 Yeah, I’ve had a crack on the MAG beta, was a bit mind-blowing to be honest with that many playing in one game!

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 2:45 pm   220

yh mike my friend was playing the MAG beta but how do i get to play it.

Ninjas, bats, and radiation sickness. What more could you want from a weekly update?

Hope none of these upcoming Fallout 3 packs involve Megaton in any way seeing as how I accidentally ASPLODED it!

Keep up the great work Mike, don’t let the moaners get to you, just pretend they’re the radroaches you’ll be blasting in Fallout later! 😉 🙂

Radroaches, pah.

Every Thursday morning Mike preps himself for the updates by looking in his bathroom mirror and chanting “Quick and deadly like a Deathclaw…Quick and deadly like a Deathclaw…Quick and deadly like a Deathclaw… RAWWWR” 😉

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 2:54 pm

Every week you post information about me that I thought was a secret – how do you do it?

    /adopts Alan Partridge voice ‘I’m a deathclaw, raawwwr’ 😉

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 2:52 pm   223

when the store comes out with more ps one games ihope they have Aliens 4.

OmieeZF-LIVE 24 September, 2009 @ 2:53 pm   224

Yo Mike a question about the PSPGO, will all games be sold with a voucher in the store ..?
cuz if not im gonna hold back on buying a pspgo if i have to pay 10 to 20 bucks more for the games on the store while i can get them for less money on amazon etc.

SCEE Stop screwing us! We want to get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Zombie Apocalypse on the [DELETED] european store! I’m tired of your lazyness about releasing this games on europe…

Hey mike really need to know about cross edge mate even if its nothing has been submitted

mrfight67 24 September, 2009 @ 2:58 pm   227

By lots of PSP games next week, do you mean in the 100s? Over 50? About 20? Of course, counting minis. I might hold off getting the F3 expansion this week to get some psp goodies 😀

marcindpol 24 September, 2009 @ 2:59 pm   228

Hi Mike can you tell us when will you activate that news ticker on PAL systems?

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 3:00 pm   229

jacobster 24 September, 2009 @ 3:04 pm   232

Awesome update, was not hard to beat last weeks update! I wanted to see that zombie game uploaded, perhaps next week?

We want Zombie Apocalypse and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We don’t wanna have to wait months like happen with Street Fighter II HD Remix.

danmann861 24 September, 2009 @ 3:06 pm   234

Hey Mike

Long time reader first time leaving a comment/question. Any chance we will see MotorStorm Arctic Edge hit the store next week? I noticed the game has been available on store shelves here in Australia (I can only assume retailers broke street date) but was hoping as to whether we will see it hit the PSN for download as I’ve been holding off from grabbing the UMD version instead hoping to download it.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

GahLakTus 24 September, 2009 @ 3:08 pm   235

hi great update mike, love ur updates, shame thers alot of moaniers out there. a few questions tho.

1- the new avatars, will there be any free ones or will we have to pay 4 them all?
2- ps1 classics any chance of broken sword or little big adventure?
3-any word on the long promised ghostbusters DLC?

First of all, great update. I’m looking forward to the Lost Planet 2 demo, awesome! Anyway, do you have any news about those new avatars?

Thanks! 😀

TheKillerSnowman 24 September, 2009 @ 3:10 pm   237

ihope they make BATTLE SHIP. they allready done worms and battle tanks.

4 the love of PS3!!! UNCHARTED 2 DEMO INFO PLEASE!!

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 3:32 pm

If I don’t have information I won’t just respond and say ‘I don’t have nothing to say’ it gets boring to have to do that constantly every week.

Often I know the details but can’t say because I’m not the person who should be making announcements for products.

once_upon_a_tyne 24 September, 2009 @ 3:12 pm   239

Any plans for filmmakers to be able to distribute via the Playstation Store? We’d love to make our comedy feature available to the Playstation Community.

Skookie30 24 September, 2009 @ 3:13 pm   240

I here by Knight you Sir deathclaw Raawwwr :p

I would really be surprised if games published by Sony are not in front line for next week big update. I’m sure we’ll get Motorstorm

Unbelivable… Zombie apocalypse got released yesterday on XBL, so xbox360 users get to enjoy the game i been waiting for the past few weeks.. wth sony??!
Did it not EU QA so it might show on U.S store tonight? Or is it scraped altogether and we have to wait a few weeks??

Damn i’m upset now…

Great Update. Lost Planet 2 demo finally!! Awesome.

@184, the fallout dlc may be delayed but it’s not a europe only delay solely because of scee and their lax/overstrung, depending on the phases of the moon it seems, QA process.

and i’ll ask again.
when are the store cards coming out?
this will be, by my reckoning, the third time this has been asked in these comments.
you’ve only got one week left before they’re yet another scee release that’s late.

twistedintoform 24 September, 2009 @ 3:27 pm   245

regarding prices and exchange rates.. ehh, people seem to be neglecting the not so insignificant matter of VAT. even if the rest of economics didn’t apply, the US store prices have no VAT, all of european stores do, which varies between 20% and 25% extra (except for the UK which is only 15%). prices can never be an exact formula which involves an exchange rate, but even if they were, you’d still need to add an extra 20-25% (in some cases) for your government’s share. :p

i bought fallout 3 for a tenner, which is only 2 quid more than a dlc pack! though part of me would like to tell bethesda to suck lemons for getting into bed and cuddling up to micro$oft for a multi-million dollar deal in return for timed exclusivity on dlc. it’s a bit farcical that it’s taken nearly 9 months. maybe ps3 owners should just move on.. if they stand to lose more than they make from such deals maybe the practice would end. mild rant over.

anyway, i’ll be in the MAG beta :p if i can ever get the darned thing to download that is!

Hazel as far as we where told at work there being released in october now i can’t remember what date it said tho

SmoggyPhil 24 September, 2009 @ 3:29 pm   247

Fallout 3 DLC? Is it real?

HAHA!!!! IT’S REAL!!! Screw the complaints about the price for £8 (Just look at what you get! The true ending, new weapons, extra quests, new locations and more!) IT’S FINALLY MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally i’d ask if there are plans to combine the packs for an offer, but I do not care cause the waiting is over!

And all those World Tour songs for a bit over £1?

THANK YOU SONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *goes to add money to wallet*

twistedintoform 24 September, 2009 @ 3:29 pm   248

everywhere i’ve seen says that the PSN network cards will be available from 2nd october. they’re available to order on the usual suspects like amazon, play, etc. cheapest i saw was 7dayshop, £15.90 for a £20 card.

@244 until they start deleting comments at least, i don’t doubt it will be october, it will mean yet another delay by scee, which is what i’ve come to expect lately.
i would still like to get some official comment on this though instead of scee’s usual, if it’s bad it doesn’t exist, stance.

in other news.

PSPgo to Have 700 Games at Launch

Using a strong network, the PSP go will be able to become very successful early on. Scheduled to launch on October 1st in North America, the PSP go will have a very large library of games available for purchase. Offering 700 downloadable titles when it hits America.
some big shoes to fill there mike, will scee even come close to that number?

hey mike just read all ur replies up till this point so you haven’t already answered this but was wondering do sony make more money of theird party dlc or third party disc based games? as i was going to buy the fallout3 dlc if it was £6 or less as with all 5 that would come to £30 the same price as the GOTY edition on quite a few websites but now i see its £8 i’ll hold off thill the week after the last piece of dlc is out i mean i’ve waited this long whats another couple of weeks on top of that. but if the dlc had been cheaper would have snapped that up in an instant and i suspect alot of other people will be doing the same. however i also recognise that it will have been bethesda who priced it but will they have hiked up the price compared to the 360 because isn’t it correct that sony charges companies money everytime an item is downloaded of the store be it demoes or dlc. so in a sense sony are the cause of the high price and if you do make less money of disc the makers of they’re own misfortune.

and a few weeks ago i saw site saying the 18th of september, if nobody on the blog knows then i reckon we’re more than a week away from seeing them in the shops.
i said the go would be out before the cards and it looks like i’ll be right.

still need an edit function for the comments.

So we looking at another five/six o’clock update? Want to try out Lost Planet 2 before Mag opens.

this awaiting moderation thing, is it because of how many times i post or is it personal?
or do you randomly pick comments to delete without reason?

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 3:39 pm

I don’t know anything about how this side of things work, I just post on the blog, not work on it 😉

The Fallout 3 expansion is nice. Been waiting for that for quite some time, glad to see it there now 🙂

Outside of that, do you have any information in regards to a Trophy patch for Disgaea 3? I’ve been waiting to pick up the DLC for it, but I’d like to wait till the Trophy patch is implemented first.

Thank you!

Microshock 24 September, 2009 @ 3:47 pm   256

I love Mike, he actually responds to user concerns and questions. Ship him over to the US please! I’ll put a postage stamp of 5.99 on it.

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 3:51 pm

Thing is I always look at the amount of comments you leave and my response rate and the percentage isn’t that favourable, looks like I’m only deadling with about 20% of comments. Must try harder 😉

tears are forming in my eyes as i watch the clock blub blub blub

I’m guessing that’s a “No” on any information on Disgaea 3 Trophy patch. Thanks for the reply.

MMMMMIIIIKKKEEEEE now i got ur attention any chance on repling to my comment its number 248 please 😀 thnxs
p.s really need an edit comment option lol

Thank you for the reply

Thank mike, been looking forward to fallout DLC , gonna stock up on suplies when i finish work, send the misses to the pub, cant wait.

Sam4Sonia 24 September, 2009 @ 3:57 pm   263

fallout 3 dlc is a bit too expensive.

if they all end up that price, that will be more then the GOTY edition anyway….

ripped off, yet again.

Hold up a sec… are all the fallout 3 dlc’s coming out going to be £7.99? Why not wait until the 13th and get the goty priced at £29.99.
otherwise that’s allot of £7.99s your going to be paying,

aww that took me ages… wel 5mins to type out 😛 go on break the rules just this once i respect people who say what they really think but i have to respect that you do have a job to do and can’t break the rules and put it at risk

Ivan_Krazy 24 September, 2009 @ 3:59 pm   266

I literally laughed at comment #99
That’s why you buy a 360 😉

@ Mike…. not that it really relates to the Playstation Store but I have had 3 of my actual friends I meet experience problems with their PS3. I for one had the YLOD and so did my other mate. Now I just hear my mate from school started his PS3 with a black screen with weird lines. Bleh… I don’t trust my PS3 any more… every time I start it I pray it actually works and boots up successfully (sad isn’t it…?! but that’s reality)!! There seems to be too many failures on this end.
Thanks for the PS Store update 🙂

Processing started yet mike?

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   268

is broken steel out yet, Mike

thats no problem still on the topice of F3 GOTY do u know if the tropies list will just expand my fallout3 collection or start a whole new list just cause i’ve already platinumed it and as much fun as it was i don’t want to hunt down all those damm bobble heads again

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 4:08 pm

They’ll just be added into the same list, so your total trophy percentage for Fallout 3 will go down, because there are new trophies, but you won’t have to redo any of the tasks again – your existing trophies will still exist 🙂

Hey Mike

Good to hear TMNT & more dynamic themes to be released next week, is there gonna be a Fifa 10 one 2 go with the release next Friday…nudge nudge wink wink!?

Also any info on Dirt 2 dlc yet?

can’t comment eh! Paint me intrigued

soopastarr007 24 September, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   279

There’s no sign of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Juggernaut compatibility pack, how are we supposed to play online with our Juggernaut pre-order character from Amazon without this pack? The US got this before the games release, the game is out in the UK tommorow.

Broken steel is on the store now

fairwata08 24 September, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   281

OMG MIKE I LOVE YOU, FALLOUT 3 DLC AT LAST! easily my favourite game so far! i am temped to just buy each DLC seperatly as i dont think i can hold out till the 16th knowing that they are there waiting for me! 7.99 x 5 = £39.95 so not to much of a diffrence i am quite happy to pay an extra £10 if it means im getting the DLC like a month early!

thanks mike:D.

Hands up if you think there will be fresh content (not Water) for LBP next week.

jimmy-google 24 September, 2009 @ 4:25 pm   294

Always love reading through your comments each thursday. As you haven’t said anything about Motorstorm on PSP can I assume you either don’t know or can’t say? Just wondering if the download is coming so I know whether to wait or just buy it on UMD?

rob_dee81 24 September, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   295

cool its there now YAY , thanks @291

Guys and gals some of you people need to calm down and have some manners. Maniac Mike has explained it time and time again. If he hasn’t answered your question, it’s usually because he doesn’t have an answer to give. You have no right to come in here and start demanding answers that you aren’t entitled to. He’ll tell you when he is able to tell you. In the mean time, show some respect and gratitude that he even responds to you. Some of you kids (and I know you are kids) need some manners and I am more than happy to give you a lesson

Silent_Gig 24 September, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   297

Mike have you played Valkyira Chronicles?

almighty-slayer 24 September, 2009 @ 4:30 pm   299

Changed my mind, might have to pick up Fallout Broken Steel and Trine (missed it last week)

Thank you EMA. What would i do without you :p

Cheers Mikey. Look forward to buying some lovely PSP games next week. Something tells me i will need a new memory stick!

I believe next week we will get the Brutal Legend demo can you confirm this? I know XBL get it today.

I know there are some PS1 classics coming soon do you know Grandia is one of them. I got a need to play it again and my PS3 freezes the game.

Is there 700 PSP games going to be on the store next week like I have read.

Lastly do you know anything about the PSP Go and anyway to get a digital version of my UMDs? If you don’t could you pass it along or give me a name to contact?

Mattiebo123 24 September, 2009 @ 4:34 pm   301

broken steel for £8, that’s ridiculous! Bethesda delayed it for about 3 months and now they’re charging more than the xbox price, this is freaking ridiculous, Bethesda have officially let me down.

That’s why they let you go first Mike.

So they could use other articles to shove you off the front page. 🙁

Scourgewood 24 September, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   304

@Mike: Still no idea when .detuned is getting released?

This post says Broken Steel is rated 16+.. But that’s a filthy lie! Did it get changed?

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 4:43 pm

No I lied – I thought I saw it was a PEGI 16, but it’s not it is indeed a PEGI 18+, sorry for the confusion (and lies) 😉

Too bad, wont be able to but it till February then. :/ Why aren’t master accounts able to allow sub-accounts to buy 18+-content?

andypritchard 24 September, 2009 @ 4:47 pm   307

any news on the autumn and winter heads up you were hoping to do like the summer one

    Mike Kebby 24 September, 2009 @ 4:49 pm

Not yet – haven’t decided yet if it’s a good idea or not – I mean how many of the titles that I mentioned in the summer post actually released in the summer? Not many 🙁

Scourgewood 24 September, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   308

Hey, no worries Mike, just thought I’d ask. Even the guys that made it are wondering where it is. lol 😉

Looking forward to TMNT next week. 😀

D14m0nd88 24 September, 2009 @ 5:18 pm   325

Why no Broken Steel DLC for Italy? Do you hate us? 😀

Any news would be great.

AshKorsair 24 September, 2009 @ 5:25 pm   326

No Fallout 3 dlc in holland as well.
why do we even need to post this?
is it really that difficult to give all stores in europe everything at the same time?
ow, and it better be fixed so that we can download it today and not some other time, or ill pack my bags and never buy stuff of psn again.
its already bad enough the eu store is crap compared to the others.

Please answer me this :

How on EARTH can you justify £23.99 for Colin McRae DiRT 2 which is a digital download (read: no packaging, distribution, retailer profit margin) when I can walk into my local Argos and pick up the UMD for £14.69

Sometimes, moronic decisions like this by Sony mystify me…

NomadicWulf 24 September, 2009 @ 5:33 pm   328

And of course there’s no Broken Steel DLC in Belgium either.. Almost makes you wonder if someone just made a typo and put EU instead of “UK-only since Europe doesn’t really exist”.. I really hope it will still become available today.. It is very disappointing to see things like this happen again and again and again.. Apparently it just can’t seem to get fixed.. 🙁 *sigh*

vinestone 24 September, 2009 @ 5:45 pm   330

Hi, I live in Canada and can’t wait to get the Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC, however I checked the store about ten minutes ago and it isn’t on their yet, what’s going on????

Kazemaru-san 24 September, 2009 @ 5:46 pm   331

Cute… no Broken Steel on the portuguese PSStore. Now I now why Xbox users pick on us big time around here. -_-;

The updates are getting better and better. lol
Any word on MGS4 trophies, Mike?
Is the store update live on Portuguese store?

Mattiebo123 24 September, 2009 @ 5:49 pm   333

hopefully they’ve realized that they can’t charge £8 for it and they’re putting the price down -.-

Kazemaru-san 24 September, 2009 @ 5:50 pm   334

Well according to the latest update it’s all there except for Broken Steel. However some users from other EU countries are complaining about the same.

No MAG Leadership Trailer Mike?

were about is zombie apocalypse?

For future store update posts can you please add the download size for each item like your US counterpart? Pretty Please =)

Hey why are the video download file so badly named? Why can’t they be named “Fallout 3 Point Lookout Trailer” not “Fallout_3_Point_Lookout_Trailer_HD_720P_PSN” Looks very un pro 🙁

sephiroth180 24 September, 2009 @ 6:22 pm   339

Thanks for the answer Mike 🙂

vinestone 24 September, 2009 @ 6:28 pm   340

Its 2:25 pm here in Canada and still no Fallout 3 Broken Steel!!! Does anybody know the time that the playstation store is updated in Atlantic Standard Time? I doubt anyone will know, but any info would be much appreciated 🙂

makingdamage 24 September, 2009 @ 6:46 pm   341

Awesome update! Unfortunately my money is tied up in other games now (Need for speed: Shift and Uncharted 2) so I guess I give the fallout dlc a pass. Too shame, it was a good game but Bethesda treated me like a second hand consumer so I don´t really shed a tear.
Now, time to get those two demos downloaded and have some fun…

Grind_Axis 24 September, 2009 @ 6:58 pm   343

Hey Mike, I just saw Broken Steel isn’t up in the Dutch Playstation Store. I know the DLC is only for english territories atm but there isn’t a Fallout 3 dutch localized edition so why isn’t it up? I was really looking forward to it. 🙁

damn, links don’t work here
try this

john7doe_ 24 September, 2009 @ 7:00 pm   345

Any word on MGS coming out on store? (seems everything gone quiet on that)

Also is Brutal Legend demo out next week?

Mike, you willingness to answer are pleas are saint-like, for this I thank you 😛

D14m0nd88 24 September, 2009 @ 7:01 pm   346

Mike we want an answer. Europe is not just england.

Fallout 3 was a good game, but in these times of recession, purchasing overpriced DLC is not for me. Maybe if it was for €5.00. I’m saving my money for FIFA 10, Flashpoint 2, Uncharted 2, and Modern warfare 2!

The DLC will be available on the Fallout 3 game of the year edition, which will probably be available for €20.00 in a few months, so I will wait until then.

The only DLC I would buy is for Arkham Asylum-but since its for free I don’t have to!

AshKorsair 24 September, 2009 @ 7:28 pm   348

still no fallout dlc in holland….
and mike remains silent…..

it’s funny you know, scee keep saying it’s part of scee’s rules that content has to be localised for the languages they support, yet time and time again they break the rules.
if the rules don’t matter then release all titles once the english version is done.
if the rules do matter, why is this out now when it’s only in english?

and for at least the fifth time, when are the store cards coming out?
i’m going to keep asking until i get an answer, even “i don’t know” would be an answer, better than the nothing we’ve had so far.
i expect you’ve gone home tonight, don’t worry i’ll remind you tomorrow.

hyperslug 24 September, 2009 @ 7:42 pm   350

Cool the hercules game showed up on the danish store finally 🙂

retro goodness

Hey Mike can you try to get a facebook app for displaying PSN ids on our facebook page?

Drian_Thierf 24 September, 2009 @ 8:12 pm   352

Geez. No Broken Steel for Polish Store… It’s quite annoying. I’ve waited for the add-on long enough :/

when can we europeans expect the fallout3 dlc ?

Many Russian people in a rage. We want to know when we will be able to download Fallout DLS!

AshKorsair 24 September, 2009 @ 8:26 pm   355

so without the fallout 3 dlc, it appears the store update is another [DELETED] update.
great just great, i am real [DELETED] about the fallout 3 absence.
and dont get me started about the price.

stepmagic 24 September, 2009 @ 8:33 pm   356

This is supposed to be the european playstation blog, right? I’m getting a tired of these updates that aren’t available for the dutch gamers (and many other “european” countries according to the comments). If you don’t update all european stores with the same content, then at least specify it in the blog. Or call it the UK Playstation Store update. That way we don’t go rushing to our playstation and into the store, only to find out IT’S NOT THERE!!! Is this your way of having a laugh each friday when reading through the comments?

And yes, I was referring to the Fallout 3 DLC.

NomadicWulf 24 September, 2009 @ 9:05 pm   357

If it’s late due to “localization” reasons I couldn’t really care less, I’d prefer to have it in English either way. Or at least make something like EntroPay available again so we can just get it off the UK store next time since the store cards will never really be coming anyway..

LagunaHeartly 24 September, 2009 @ 9:11 pm   358

That was a huge dissapointment. Nice work sony 5of5.Maybe now you please tell us when we (other countries, not only uk) can await fallout dlc.

Why don’t we have Broken Steel at the spanish store? What a disappointment 🙁

I’d like to mention a good news about ninja gaiden since it has been confirmed the playstation 3 version got a massive upgrade, including the resolution which is now HD 720p (1280×720 2xMSAA) where the original version released on the xbox360 and directed by big-mouthed Tomonobu Itagaki was only 585p aka SD (1120×585). good game Tecmo! 🙂

I have no words.. No Broken Steel yet. I don’t understand why we have different store, even if we are all Europeans!
Very sad -.-

blaikieboii 24 September, 2009 @ 10:00 pm   362

Mike that broken steel was worth the wait its absoloutely amazing, Fallout 3 is the best!! 🙂

Dante_Zero 24 September, 2009 @ 10:24 pm   363

if Final Fantasy 8 comes to the EU store i will forgive all your (SCEE) past and future epic fails. this is my favortie game ever andi would luv you indefinately. but seriously the descrepencys between all regions has got to stop being an excuse. we are all part of the playstation comunity regardless of creed, colour location so its understandable that everyone wants to be treated equally in each region. the fact they arnt i imagine that you’ll keep finding these comment. the person that though it was a great idea to split the regions stores into three imo is an idiot and because of it Sony have shot themselves in the foot. You cant blame people for hostilitys went the regionalisation is always used as an excuse and effectively its was Sonys decision to do that. personally an apology and recognition of the regionalisation being a major problem along with some idea of them resolving it. till then dont get mad as people have a genuine complaints with it.

AshKorsair 24 September, 2009 @ 11:13 pm   364

now i understand why sony is trailing behind this generation.
their service sucks and they dont care about there customers (specially in non-uk eu)
srew u sony, screw u

Blasteroids 24 September, 2009 @ 11:41 pm   365

Hi Mike,

Any info on why the store guys cannot adjust a pricing error within 14 days and instead remove the incorrectly priced product after 7 days?

SCEE is turning out to be the new Atari this hardware generation. Good product but no clue on marketing or public relations. Its such a shame that such simple things are turning out to be such a problem for such a well known company. 🙁

Ignorance is bliss, until there is no longer anyone there to pay the wages.

Hi Mike! Any news on Final Fantasy VIII coming to the European PSN? Its already out in Japan.

SeparateEntity 24 September, 2009 @ 11:54 pm   367

The US store didn’t get any PSOne classics either. I already saw that there are none planned for release next week. Let’s hope we get some over here soon.

Lost Planet 2 is just amazing. i’ve played with three friends in co-op with the headset. easy and fun

Im THE fallout 3 fan but i had to sell the game and wait for the GOTY edition cos im running out of HDD space -_- just downloaded the 5 videos I CANT WAIT they all look great especially the pitt

Because nobody cares to answer on the US PlayStation.Blog, maybe you can help me.

Can you give us a status update regarding those two unannounced PlayStation 3 games that were on SCEJ’s official list of games for TGS? I’m a bit worried since they weren’t at either Sony conference held last night.

TehPhilosopher 25 September, 2009 @ 12:39 am   371

Played through Ninja Gaiden demo. Despite the adolescent boob physics, it’s a very compelling game. I hope the camera gets fixed for release, though – I was stuck looking at railings and columns quite a git, as it was very difficult to adjust the camera while fighting. It also insists on going back to shoulder level even if I’d prefer to have it higher for fights.

I guess I should finish Ninja Gaiden Sigma (the original) first, though.

Fallout3 Broken Steel is broken for french too…
Not in the store and the link in the news lead to an error message.

Stud_Kick_Ass 25 September, 2009 @ 1:53 am   373

Mike, how come the US Store got so much this week and we got so little?

Why is this the case week in, week out?

Have you seen what they got!!!

Btw, there’s no Punisher demo up. Any reasoning for this?

Michelasso 25 September, 2009 @ 4:11 am   374

Mike, I have the British version of Fallout 3, BLES 00333. Since I believe that even if the DLC will appear in the Italian Store they won’t apply to my game, what about having the UK Store accepting European credit cards???

Many people buy games from Uk internet shops like Amazon UK because there are good deals. Also EU is a free open market. What’s the reason for not accepting EU credit cards?

deathproof001 25 September, 2009 @ 4:48 am   375

wow, you guys have really picked up your game over the last few weeks. Heaps of content i want, now i just need the cash. hahaha.

Cant wait to play fallout its currently downloading.

zombie apocalypse demo is available on the us store, funny how the us version seems to have passed QA just fine.
not the scee QA though, if the scee QA is so strict how come they didn’t notice they were selling a demo or that the firmware needed to run a demo didn’t work or that they’d put up the wrong region’s version of some dlc?

and in the first of a weekly series, i’ll show what was released on the virtual console and what ps1 titles scee released, just for contrast.
VC: just r-type this week, the master system version.
PS1: nothing this week, still waiting on the tomb raider games, suikoden, blood omen and final fantasy tactics.

Any estimate on when the Fallout 3 DLC will be coming for non-English versions of the game?

Also, would have been useful to mention in the announcement that it wasn’t coming for us.

deathproof001 25 September, 2009 @ 8:51 am   378

@ hazelam, I think that SCEE have issues with having so many regions and ratings boards etc to get the games passed through.

Dont get me wrong an extra week or so is fine by me but when its really late (still no MGS1 right?) thats when i get annoyed. It sometimes makes me want ot import psn cards and just forget about the AUS store. (other than add on content)

and nintendo still have all those issues with regions and ratings boards, and they have the added obstacle of many of the games being originally on other companies consoles, but that doesn’t stop them putting out a lot more titles than scee do.
look at that, how many titles they put out on the virtual console, compare that with scee’s output of ps1 games.
the difference is staggering.
even compared to scea or scej they’re doing pretty poor.

Why there is no DLC on polish PSS? I can understand there is no add-on for Polish version of the game but in Poland there is special edition with the box and stuff but only in English… How am I supposed to get the DLC for my English copy?

has anyone successfully downloaded the MAG beta yet?
ive been downloading it for 40 hours now and its done 56%
40 hours for roughly 1100MBs.
what the bloody hell is going on?
this is the 3rd PS3 i have had internet issues with and im really starting to regret buying them.
if sony does not sort there server issues out this will be the last sony product i ever purchase.
40+ hours for 1100MBs thats pathetic!
i can download that on my PC or xbox 360 in less than 2 hours.

I played MAG yesterday. I downloaded in 2,30 hours but I had many errors. Remember that is still a beta, and you are testing it, so don’t complain about stuff that doesn’t work.

AshKorsair 25 September, 2009 @ 11:05 am   383

still no reply from mike eh?
what busy playing fallout 3?
good idea i am gonna play me some broken steel!

i wonder if sony takes europe serious……

Kazemaru-san 25 September, 2009 @ 11:26 am   384

My question is: will Broken Steel be available in all other EU stores other than UK? I really didn’t want to create a new account just to buy a DLC that could easily be available in my country store… This “localization” thing makes no sense at all.

Kazemaru now that I think about it, Oblivion’s expansion never came to Europe, even if the GOTY edition had those… I hope this doesn’t happen again.

Muzzar69, Its not your connection or your ps3 that’s getting such a slow download, its the fact that dozens of people are downloading the MAG beta at the same time, they can’t give everyone a maximum speed, that would kill their servers. Just be patient

And about broken steel, most of you people could of had expected it. Outside of the UK, the rest of the EU gets delayed most of the time. I’ve had my ps3 since Launch and i’ve gotten used to the fact that sony’s treats us like the patient rubbish customers they believe we are.

So just be patient, it will arrive sooner or later, if not you’l have to wait till October 1st, and if thats not the case, then sony basically doesn’t care about us.

AshKorsair 25 September, 2009 @ 11:41 am   387

its already obvious sony doesnt care about us

PirateDave 25 September, 2009 @ 11:58 am   388

I’m just a tad curious about the situation with ZOmbie Apocalypse, on the one hand we’ve got Mike saying that it’s stuck in QA again, and on the other we’ve got Mark Cooke from Nihilistic software saying “Rest assured, the game is done. It has already been released on the Xbox 360 around the world and will hit PSN in North America later today. Unfortunately I don’t know the exact moment to moment status – it’s up to Konami Europe and SCEE to get the game out now.” So what’s going on?

SCEE is Sony Computer Entertainment Europe? Don’t make me cry and laugh!

Sony, Poland is in Europe, maybe you have got your own Europe map, but on my map, Poland is on it and I am your Customer, very disappointed one. I’m tired.

Fallout 3 – Broken Steel Pack (£7.99/€9.99)
PEGI 16+

I don’t see it on Polish PSStore… Next time list Update only for UK, not for Europe.

twistedintoform 25 September, 2009 @ 12:39 pm   390

for crying out loud.. fallout 3 is the property of BETHESDA, *not sony*. it says on their website that the DLC is only for the english versions of the PS3 game. you don’t seriously expect sony to tell a third party publisher they don’t want content. how would that help _anyone_??

for anyone who would even want or contemplate downloading the pack from the UK store, it won’t work unless you have the UK game, with product code BLES-0333.

sony really needs to implement IP-blocking on its stores. the current situation doesn’t work…

Dear twistedintoform

For your information in Poland there are two official versions of Fallout 3, one is English and second Polish which was released 6 months after English one. So the most of Polish users have got English version. Sony should give us an option to buy or not to buy.

…and once more thing, Prince of Persia was also sold in two versions in Poland, English and Polish, but on Polish PSStore there is English version of Epilogue to buy. So???

Kazemaru-san 25 September, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   393

I agree with VAMET. And also PS3 games that are sold in Portugal are the same versions, in most cases, of the ones sold in the UK. So, my Fallout 3 has that same product code even if the manual and box are in portuguese. There’s just NO EXCUSE! Europe it isn’t only UK, it’s a whole lot of other countries! 😉

D14m0nd88 25 September, 2009 @ 1:08 pm   394

Also twistedintoform, It’s true that Bethesda is not Sony, but Sony can say to the Bethesda guys: “If you don’t do a whole Europe same time relase, you can’t release the expansion packs and no profits for you”.

So there are no excuses.

European Union – 491,582.852 people

Sweden – 9,059.651 people
Denmark – 5,500.510 people
Finland – 5,250.275 people
Ireland – 4.203,200 people

Lots of above countries have got their on language as an option to choose for PS3 System (XMB, PSStore, Internet Browser, their own national chars).

We have got 38 millions people country and still no Polish support. Over 100.000 PS3 systems sold and we are in TOP10 in Trophy Ranking over the World with 38 millions people, when such country like UK has got 23 millions people more then Polish and aren’t much higher in Global Ranking.

How long my country must wait for Polish support? For proper content over PSStore? Third year of PS3 system is coming, still no progress. Shame! It few hours to implement Polish support for PS3 system. Everything is ready, you must only translate some words and include it to ready xml or other kind of file.

twistedintoform: what makes you think that UK got some special version of Fallout? I’ve purchased my own in Russia from a big local retailer, it is in English and has the same product code which you’ve quoted — BLES-00333.

Give me my DLC now!

@d14m0nd88 – “but Sony can say to the Bethesda guys: “If you don’t do a whole Europe same time relase, you can’t release the expansion packs and no profits for you”.”

— are you serious?!?. sony is a _business_. the minute it starts refusing content from third party publishers is the minute when it will start to be in trouble. publishers are already complaining of having to pay extra to get content onto the psn in the first place.

@vamet – if you want to talk numbers, the UK industry was worth almost $6bn in 2008, 1/3 of all revenue in europe. it’s a fact that the UK has the most lucrative market in europe, and the highest spend per capita, which is why publishers can be keen to exploit it before other markets. UK+france+germany account for almost 80% of the whole european market in terms of money spent on games, so your population stats are meaningless.

@kazemaru – is your game in english or portuguese?. i have no portuguese options, so it seems a bit daft for the two versions to be the same product code if they’re not actually the same. if it’s english then yeah, i guess bethesda should have authorised sony to put the same pack on your store.

Dear Friends

I have talked with Cenega Poland, which is Publisher of BETHESDA on Polish market. They say that English DLC will never be available for Polish PSStore PS3, because it’s very hard to add a link to server on PSStore PL, ehehehehehehehehehe… 🙂

They also said, that I must wait for Fallout 3 GOTY, it will be available on Polish Market with all 3 DLC + Game. So I must buy second time my Fallout 3 to have all DLC. I think the same scenario will be on any other countries.

twistedintoform 25 September, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   402

to whoever asked a few posts pack about the MAG beta – yes, it was really slow for me also, but i did get it eventually – it took about 7hrs wedensday + another 4-5 last night. i got to 65% the first night, but when i restarted it resumed from 50% then got stuck at 81% for ages. when i quit and tried to restart, it then installed them game. normally i would be able to download 2.6gb in about 4 hours.

it is using a P2P distribution system, so if your ISP blocks P2P traffic, then it could be really really slow for you. it seems to be a bit faster during the middle of the night when there are more participants from the american beta in the game, as there are more clients to connect to and download from.

Dear twistedintoform

Your economy isn’t so great in times of global economy crisis.
Is told that Polish economy the best in whole Europe at the moment of crisis.

The UK industry was worth almost $6bn in 2008, 1/3 of all revenue in europe, because you opened your borders for Polish workers. They are very low paid in UK and effective at work.

AshKorsair 25 September, 2009 @ 2:35 pm   404

wel twistedintoform it isnt that difficult to reason uk+france+germany
contribute the most of the market as they are the three biggest countries in europe.
is that enough reason to dismiss the rest of us? i think not.
i think your arguments are solely based on the fact that u live in th e uk and thus have nothing to complain about.
so spare me the arrogance and lofty demeanor. sony screwed up.
the failure of mike to respond to any complaint given proves me right

moonlightkid 25 September, 2009 @ 2:35 pm   405

Mike, we demand know what happened to the Fallout 3 dlc!
This new strategy of the people who get the game on day one and then have to sold it in order to buy the goth edition for having all the dlc’s that should have been available throught psn store to all european countries and not only for uk, its simply getting frustating for all the other ps3 users.
It’s simply not fair had waited such a long time for the dlc, because of the stupid bethesda’s policy of dlc’s, but now, our own company – Sony – disapointed us all too.
Please, give us an explanation and a time frame for when this particular dlc will be uploaded on your stores, like Portugal in my case, Poland and many other stores that the users are refering to you.

Kazemaru-san 25 September, 2009 @ 2:43 pm   406

@twistedintoform: The game is in English, it’s the same version UK received, same product code. What I said was, the box and manual are in portuguese, like some other games. But 99% of the time we get the exact same versions as you people do. And there’s another thing, a lot of portuguese people (myself included) buy games in English online stores since they’re cheaper and I guess we’re not the only ones doing it so… DLC should be available all over Europe.

Dante_Zero 25 September, 2009 @ 2:49 pm   407

as i understand it there are more PS3’s in Europe that have been sold than in the US. although the US has a higher software attachment rate. Now why do you think this is? mainly becuase they make the content available to people. do forget that the US covers not just USA but mexico and south america. they have many didnt languages like europe does however this does not stop them releasing content and is never an issue. the q&A process is smoother with SCEA but not with SCEE. why is it different for each? surely the SCEE/SCEA/SCEJ is just to differintuate the regions but at the end of the day you’ll all part of Sony Computer Entertainment. How about comunicating with each other huh? is that so difficult to ask for. ?

The DLC wil NOT come out in the rest of Europe, we will just have to wait until the GOTY comes out and get that. I’m fine with that, sure. But what i find a huge [DELETED] move is that Neither Sony, nor Bethesda would give us a reasonable explanation, instead they’re just keeping quiet and annoying the european community.

And of all things, leaving the “broken steel” DLC advertisement in the ‘whats new’ and ‘playstation store’ tabs, while they know they don’t work… thats just rude

I’l eventually end up getting the GOTY edition, but i’l wait until theres a price cut offering us a reasonable price, because this has just been the most rubbish customer support i have ever seen.

nhekosboy 25 September, 2009 @ 3:08 pm   409

How hard can it be to simply link the content (for those of us who want it in english) to the one on the uk playstation store?
give us that option at least! And as if this wasn’t enough, that yellow ticker with the new content keeps teasing us only to give us an error when we access it……

Michelasso 25 September, 2009 @ 3:18 pm   410

I checked the UK store. Can you imagine that they’ve got even the trailers for the other FO3 DLCs while we Continental Europeans have got just N O T H I N G? There is enough to start WW III!!!! Dang.

Bethesda screwed up again. If this will make feel you any better, just know that the Canadian release of FO3 doesn’t even download the TROPHY’s patch!!! Great games, awful logistic.

This sounds like a great update for the Playstation Store, but I have to admit I’m getting annoyed at the fact that a lot of new releases come unannounced and without any trailer or demo. I never even heard of Heavy Weapon up until now, and in all honesty, what I DO know now, I owe it to GameTrailers and Wikipedia.

Sure, it’s a PopCap game, most PopCap games are MASSIVELY famous and need no introduction (Bejeweled for example), but “most” doesn’t mean “all”.

I don’t think it’s normal to have to do my own research half the time when a new game comes out, especially when the Playstation Store has a built-in feature for streaming trailers in a pop-up on the product’s page. This should be mandatory for a product to be put on the store.

Whoever was talking about the MAG beta taking ages to download well it took me 4 hours for 2.6GB, not really that bad considering the speed of downloads at the moment.

Hi there,

There is a small localisation problem for french language since the beginning of big picture headline links that rotates on the home page of PSStore.

The small blue lables, at bottom right of the posters contain two mistakes in french version:

* Dèmo where it should be Démo
* Gratis where it should be Gratuit

The other occurences of those two status are correct — in the rest of the store, download lists, etc.

I don’t understand this. I used to have the Xbox 360 and Fallout 3 for that console. When the Fallout 3 DLC appeared, it did simultaneously in all the countries. The spanish version of Fallout 3 has spanish voices, and so does all the DLC. I mean, the work is done, they only had to port the DLCs to PS3 and use the spanish sound files. I DO NOT understand why Broken Steel is NOT at the spanish store, I mean, WHY? Is not a language problem! Seriously, I hate MS and the Xbox 360 beacause of its [DELETED] hardware, but Sony must learn from them how to manage the release of the online content.

At least, give us and explanation.

Sorry for my english, and have a good day.

MarcoCivic 25 September, 2009 @ 4:08 pm   415

@patate12: Gratis is the Italian for Gratuit

NomadicWulf 25 September, 2009 @ 4:16 pm   416

@patate12 and MarcoCivic: Gratis is also Dutch for Gratuit, and for some reason on the Belgian PSN I noticed the French word Gratuit in between all the Dutch instead of Gratis 😉 So it’s not just a French problem, PSN for us non-UK Europeans just seems so faulty at times, this time with the Fallout 3 DLC.. It’s a shame that the Entropay cards got blocked though, otherwise many people would probably be buying Broken Steel from the UK store now, so this is already causing a slight (but not much, just a little bit) money loss for them for doing this to us..

Mike, here’s a heads up for you…

You guys have put Manhunt 2 PSP on the Store for FREE 😉

When is UNO and Switchball coming to the European Stores????

Stalker11 25 September, 2009 @ 4:39 pm   419

I just want to add my voice regarding the obnoxious policy of some DLCs .

There are just a few games sold in Portugal that are localized, like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Fifa 09…

But most of the games (Fallout 3 included) have the same BLES code as in UK, with just a change in the manual that is printed in Portuguese, the Blu-Ray is exactly the same, and I guess this is the case with the rest of “non-uk european countries”.

I’m really having second thoughts about my ps3, I fear now that everytime i buy a game (and I own quite some), I won’t be able to buy future DLC’s…
Eck i don’t even know if this is legal, some lawyer around?! 😀

Kazemaru-san 25 September, 2009 @ 5:07 pm   420

Stalker11, I couldn’t agree more! I really had some seconds thoughts about the PS3 since the contenders offer much more (even if paid) and less trouble like this DLC ridiculous policy.

twistedintoform 25 September, 2009 @ 5:09 pm   421

@vamet – yeah whatever, even in our ‘economic crisis’ we are still the most lucrative games market in europe.

@ashkorsair – it’s got nothing to do with the fact that i live in the UK. it’s simply a matter of business. would you pump the same resources into getting something back from 20% of the market as you would 80%? no. this is not suggesting that it’s ok to dismiss the other 20%, but as to why some companies may approach one market sooner than another. that also applies to the UK, since the games market here is still small compared to the US. if a lot of the other countries have the same english version of fallout3 as the uk, beats me why betheseda didn’t make it available.

@dante_zero – the US has a general higher attach rate per title, not because there are more games. there might simply be more games because there’s a hell of a lot more possible revenue to spread around. as for QA, i believe that SCEA, SCEE and SCEJ are all independent subsidiaries, each responsible for their own budgets, marketing, etc. since there are probably slightly different codes for a game for each region, it requires it’s own QA. i’d rather QA was done right.

twistedintoform 25 September, 2009 @ 5:10 pm   422

@stalker11 – when the games themselves are not region locked, yet the DLC is, it causes this mess. the fact that some countries by law require localised meta-data doesn’t help either. :-/

AshKorsair 25 September, 2009 @ 5:12 pm   423

i agree with kazemaru-san and stalker
sony need to step up fast or they will lose customers

William89 25 September, 2009 @ 8:11 pm   424

Kazemaru-san 25 September, 2009 @ 8:37 pm   425

So true, William89. I guess we either wait and play something else or buy a X360… :S

ShogunDarius 25 September, 2009 @ 9:30 pm   426

I really want to know why zombie apoloclypse couldn’t be released here but was perfectly fine for the US and for microsoft but Hard working EuroPEONS have to be given the short stick on this game and by scee in geneal? I mean why did it take months for bomberman to make it here, or comet crash? simply abysmal.

hi, i love thar you can buy ps1 games on the store but theres one ps1 game i have to ask about. a while back i was on the store and i saw silent hill 1 available for download. i had been looking for this game for ages and was determined to buy it the next day when i got paid. much to my dismay it had been taken off with no reason given and assumes=d we;d never get it back. although i was on the american store the other day and saw they had it for download. could you tell me if theres a chance we might get it again in the uk store? as it is one of my favourite games of all time.

no Broken Steel for Switzerland…
What’s wrong with Bethesda/Ubisoft/Sony ???

TheShaikanSoul 26 September, 2009 @ 8:17 am   432

Well here’s a shocker for all of this is my main account. UK as you see but i’m in fact portuguese and i have a sub account (portuguese) because even though i have relatives living in UK and got their permission to use their adress on this account. when i go to input my visa credit card information it always says ” your billing information is wrong, please make its accurate with your credit card ” when its already triple checked the mistake is theirs not mine. even more when i also have a sub account (american) again with relatives permission and i have my credit card information there and i already bought many things no problems and it always comes debitted on my billing information letter. so i ask whats wrong with SCEE because its SCEE NOT SCEUK fix these problems already. or do you like making europe not uk EUROPE sad?

sorry for double post but my ps3 froze for a second so i thought the comment didn’t appear.

no broken steel dlc + no video falout 3 dlc in belgium

Call 911, we lost Mike …

scee make a lie out of the oft used axcuse about needing to provide a service for so many countries in europe by half the time not doing any such thing.
and if they hadn’t also lied about bringing out the store cards in september people could still buy the english fallout dlc from the uk store.

whatever happened to the rules scee had about content for the store needing to support the main languages in europe? not only english but french, german, spanish and italian, along with others i’m sure.
why have other titles been delayed due to localisation yet not this, and quite a few others.
so if the english language version is available why can’t scee use that, and why don’t scee provide the english language content to countries where english language games are sold.
this whole fallout business is just the latest example of why scee just plain aren’t good enough.

I was really happy because of the support Europe is receiving lately and it made me really sad to see on Thursday that Broken Steel wasn’t, in fact, at Spanish PSN. I’ve come here to complain about it, but… Oh, wait. Almost forgot Europe means UK for the rest of the world.

AshKorsair 27 September, 2009 @ 11:26 am   439

mike still awol?

Is a NFS SHIFT demo coming to PSN on 1st October please?

Sicilianblooded 27 September, 2009 @ 5:03 pm   441

MarcoCivic 28 September, 2009 @ 9:31 am   443

@429 patate12
Démo in Italian is Demo, so they probably mess up with Dutch translation, see post 416 by NomadicWulf.

AshKorsair 28 September, 2009 @ 3:20 pm   444

and still no reply about it
its so damn frustrating

Sure that we are still waiting for an answer about Fallout3 DLC that’s not working for all europeans countries except UK…

Mike Kebby 28 September, 2009 @ 3:27 pm   446

The Fallout 3 content was only submitted for English speaking stores, therefore at the moment you will not be able to download the Fallout 3 content I’m afraid.

Please check your game disc as the content will only work with games that have the product code BLES-00333 (as stated in the content descriptions on the store), any other codes and the DLC will not work for you.

Kazemaru-san 28 September, 2009 @ 3:57 pm   447

Mike, I really don’t understand that policy forthis game (BLES-00333). In Portugal that’s the only version available yet I don’t see the DLC in store just because… our store is in Portuguese?! How come other similar games have DLC available and this particular game doesn’t? It makes no sense at all! Besides, in our store there’s always a warning concerning the game disc code on most DLC for people to consider not buying something for mistake.

NomadicWulf 28 September, 2009 @ 5:07 pm   448

Mike, I’m from Belgium and my Fallout 3 disc has the product code BLES-00333, so I’d be fine with the English release on the Belgian, and others, PSN. And I didn’t import the game, English releases are just standard available here, thankfully. So the DLC will work for me, and probably for others as well across Europe. Now, my question is, will the English version be released on the Belgian PSN, or is everything going to be localised and am I just not going to be able to get Broken Steel then at all because of the different product codes for e.g. a Dutch Fallout 3 version?

nhekosboy 28 September, 2009 @ 5:33 pm   449

Im from Portugal and I also have the fallout with code BLES-00333. Just fix the link on “what’s new” and all will be solved.

Bethesda … always so detestable …

AshKorsair 28 September, 2009 @ 5:50 pm   451

fallout 3 in holland is english. the code for the game is BLES-00333
just one look at a game in a gamestore in holland wouldve told u that.
its really easy to check that, and still there is no dlc.
so we have a game that is only playable in english. it has the right code with BLES-00333. than why the hell isnt the dlc released?
pure laziness if u ask me, or else gross neglect.
either way there is no, NO!, excuse for the absence of the dlc on the psn store in holland.
cant speak for other countries but the reason u state here mike is just bull.

    Mike Kebby 29 September, 2009 @ 9:36 am

The reason I state is not ‘bull’, it’s just the facts behind why the DLC is not currently on some of the stores. One I know when it’s coming for the other stores I’ll let you all know.

Enjustor2 28 September, 2009 @ 7:48 pm   452

Broekn Steel is advertised on the “What’s New” page in the netherlands, but it’s not in the store. All we get is an error code. How could you do this to me?!?

I can’t download broken steel … help…

Hope you’re ok after your sickness, Mike. We know the content is only out for the english version of the game. Hence, our question is, when will it be released for the rest of the territories?

D14m0nd88 28 September, 2009 @ 9:52 pm   455

The real question is: the DLCs are going to be released in the rest of Europe? Or Bethesda is enough bastard to make us buy the GOTY edition to make more money?

shortfuse14 29 September, 2009 @ 2:53 am   456

hi mike it would be really cool if u guys could add PS1 classics like Rival Schools and Evil Zone. Plus will past and future games have live real time dynamic themes like the Little Big Planet one instead of the video looped ones of Wipeout and Motorstorm. it would be really cool if u guys gt bk 2 me.

Have a date for the Fallout DLC yet?

but puting a link (waht is new )to brokensteel dlc = very stupid + i go for falout goty =59 e .
dlc = 9,99€ times 5 = 50€ = falout goty on bluray + evey extra + trophies on bluray !!!! dlc via psn = rip off

Agreed, Fallout 3 DLC was not supposed to show on the What’s New for countries it was not available in…that was an error on our part 🙁

1 game cros chat date?
2 monsterhunter from capcom on ps3 in futur ?
3 disgaia3 no trophie patch in europe ?

mike kebby , do u have dates for my questions ? ore no coment?

Can I volunteer to translate the description on the Fallout 3 DLC as it is probably the only thing (in my humble opinion) that’s delaying the release on the portuguese playstation store?
I mean, we have the same version as the uk, with the same code and all, certainly the only delay is due to the translation?
Thanks in advance

William89 29 September, 2009 @ 1:21 pm   462

an error on your part? A big #*^$@ mistake if you ask me! are there any worries about post-costumer behaviour? I’d paid big money for my ps3. We’re not a bunch of children who are waiting for a candy at the local candy shop. We are paying costumers, and if we are told that something is coming out, it should be out on the promised date! Sony is a massive company, plug in those wires guy’s! thats everything! Love my ps3!

Thanks for trying to find, Mike. Keep us up to date.

Kazemaru-san 29 September, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   464

Delayed because of a translation to our language? That’s no excuse… we read english like everyone else around here. And I’ve noticed that some content on our store, sometimes, it’s in german! I’m not joking, just go snoop around a bit in every item available for purchase/download and you’ll find out.

Your best shot at getting the Broken Steel DLC, if you own a BLES-00333 version of the game, is wait til october first, and hook up to Ebay for The english currency cards that are released on october first. Make a UK account, redeem your currency card code, and download it through the english store.

I gave up on waiting for the sony DLC, and just got the DLC for my 360.

AshKorsair 29 September, 2009 @ 6:07 pm   466

so no response to fallout dlc pricing eh?
and yes i [DELETED] and moan a lot, but really….sony is screwing with us.
when u release content in europe release it for all at the same time and not one country here or one country there. and that be all i’ll say about it.
i never thought sony could display such amateurism with their services.
sad indeed.

William89. To be honest, on Bethesda’s site it claims that the DLC would be released in English territories. So to be honest, we were notified that it might not arrive. The DLC wont be released on PSN for European customers, except some. But the GOTY edition will show up with all DLC Included. And don’t complain about the price. Buying all the DLC from the store will cost as much as the GOTY coming out. The save games will also work for your current F3 Savegames. So just be patient and wait for them all to be released at once, trust me its worth the wait, since you can move right onto the new DLC chapter after you finished one. and its definitely worth it.

I started with Mothership zeta, and then Anchorage, the items i obtained from Zeta and Anchorage came in really handy with the Pitt since it needs allot of Stealth. And broken steel is definitely a DLC you should play as last, since its one of the most satisfying DLC’s from the rest. Point Lookout wasn’t that great though, i the weapons are awesome, but the world gets kind of annoying.

Anyways, just be patient, and wait! Its really worth it.

moonlightkid 29 September, 2009 @ 6:36 pm   468

Eboc, friend, i think you’re forguetting about the many peoplo who bought the game on day one and have the right to play a dlc already late comparing to 360 users. It’s absolutely ridicuous have to spend again money on a game that i already had!
These things doesn´t happen on the xbox live, the products are availble to all people of all countries of which continent on the release day. Bethesda is treating almost every country in Europe like garbage and in my opinion Sony has its responsibilities too, because they don’t defend the superior interests of the playstation brand at all. This generation of game consoles with all this dlc business is a step backwards on the rights of players that bought a game and should have the posiblity to experience all that the game has to offer.

HGFRTYHHJ 29 September, 2009 @ 6:39 pm   469

Anyhow, there’s only one conclusion possible;

Sony, Bethesda:

I should have saved 200 EUR and buy me an xbox with mass effect.

-I’m actually from Belgium but i created this account in an attempt to download the dlc, well that did not work-

Kazemaru-san 29 September, 2009 @ 7:46 pm   470

Yeah, I pretty much figured that out too so I didn’t create an UK account even tho some of my family live there and could actually put in some £ for me to get the DLC. However, I just want DLC content available in my country as well as in all other EU countries. We deserve equal treatment, period.

Enjustor2 29 September, 2009 @ 8:30 pm   471

Guys, I can wait until whatever comes out whenever, that’s not the point. The point is that it was officially announced that the fallout 3 DLC was being released on the 24th in Europe and that it wasn’t mention that it was only a selective release. The problem is the poor management of the situation. A lot of dedicated players are feeling badly treated and they now have a lot of ill feeling towards Sony.

Although I do also have a 360, I prefer my PS3. That’s why I bought Fallout 3 for it and not the Xbox. The question I’m now facing is… When the next big game comes along, would I buy it for the PS3 again knowing that situations like the Fallout 3 mess (and previously the GTA IV situation) could happen again? I’m thinking that the time has come to religate the PS3 to being an expensive karaoke machine.

I think I will not buy the DLC anymore.

I’m so angry..

To Mike Kebby

Ok here you have it: the full portuguese translation of the description from DLC item “Fallout 3 Broken Steel”:

Now all that’s left to do is change the description (obviously). change the currency (to €9,99) and change redirect the “What’s new” link to the exact same content that’s on the UK playstation store.

By the way this translation was all made by me without any automatic translator and you have my full permission/authorization to use it in the store. Now do it please!

It was always the intention for English territory releases first, I appreciate that you’re frustrated with what you perceive to be a delay, but we haven’t delayed the content, it’s just scheduled for a different release date.

Ok man thanks for answering. Stay cool and keep us posted on the updates. You said earlier that u had been away sick. If you are still not at 100%, hope you get better soon. Thanks again. Over’n’out 🙂

Thanks for the momumental effort you put into those translations by the way though, – dedication 😉 If Beths ever need it, I’ll put it in their direction 😛

Mike, it’s really admirable how you’re spending time answering quite a few of our questions. cheers for that, buddy.

Now, regarding this:

“It was always the intention for English territory releases first, I appreciate that you’re frustrated with what you perceive to be a delay, but we haven’t delayed the content, it’s just scheduled for a different release date.”

I think that’s a common issue which seems to frustrate quite a few people who’re not living in the UK. When you’re posting “heads-up” on the European blog, wouldn’t it then be a good idea to mention when certain titles will only be available in the UK for example? Many a time I’ve seen games advertised as released (like this week’s “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs” for the PSP), only to discover that it isn’t available at all. This occurs week after week. Quite frustrating to say the least. Why not make it more transparent as to where games are released to if not everywhere?

Thanks for listening. : )

Kazemaru-san 30 September, 2009 @ 12:27 pm   478

@nhekosboy: That translation could use some revision due to some grammar imprecisions but otherwise thanks for the effort. 🙂 Mike replied, DLC will eventually be available (soon I hope), that’s enough for me.

swiftswig 30 September, 2009 @ 1:11 pm   479

“I have thought about this for a while, let me see…”

Are you being sarcastic or sincere? Sorry if it’s been mentioned before and I missed one of the posts. Care to expand?

    Mike Kebby 30 September, 2009 @ 2:47 pm

Sincere, there are obvious reasons why I should do this, but there are also reasons why I wouldn’t want to. I’m trying to weigh up the pros and cons.

double_supercool 30 September, 2009 @ 2:41 pm   480

Hmmm, I have BCAS-20061 version that I bought in Hong Kong while visiting my g/f but I am now back in Australia (considered an EU territory because of PAL). Sooooo, I want to give you money for your games but you won’t let me download the content . . .

Pop quiz: Why do people pirate games? Seriously, game companies make legitimate users jump through more hoops than the people who bypass paying altogether. Smart moves.

Guess I won’t bother with any Bethesda dlc at all until they sort it out.

Hello PSS guys,

Could you fix some localisation mistakes, please ?
As reported by Belgian NomadicWulf (#416), it seems there is at least a mix between french and dutch.

French Demo* should be Démo (instead of Dèmo)
French Free* should be Gratuit (instead of Gratis)
French (Complete Game) should be (jeu complet) (instead of (Gioco completo) for Puzzle quest: Revenge of the plague lord)
Ducth Free should be Gratis (instead of Gratuit)

* Blue labels at bottom-right of home page advertisement posters

I’m sorry for this being my first post… But living in Portugal and watching the whole Broken Steel DLC debacle makes me regret a lot my option to buy a PS3 instead of an XBOX. I’m sorry but this is terrible customer service.

swiftswig 30 September, 2009 @ 4:56 pm   483

Thanks for your reply, Mike. I appreciate where you’re coming from (no pun intended heh).

It would be great if we had the opportunity to choose a ‘language region’ (English, German, Italian etc. regardless of our current location) instead of getting games only for the country in which we reside). In this time and age it’s quite common for citizens to move across borders and work and live in other countries for a short or longer period of time. As in my example, I ended up in Finland so I created a Finnish account when I purchased my first PSP. Little did I know it would prevent me from playing games “only meant for English speaking countries”. E.g., “Buzz!: Master Quiz” (which is among one of the seventeen games in SCEE’s UMD/PSP Go goodwill program — for UK residents only I guess) has never been released to the Scandinavia market even though a lot of us probably wouldn’t mind if it was available in English only. Why not create a ‘language region’ option and get rid off some of these issues once and for all? Why not let customers decide which language is suitable for them? 🙂

mikeitar 7 October, 2009 @ 8:28 pm   484

After all this time no Broken Steel DLC available yet…
This is incredible… I don´t know why we have this PlayStation Store if we find so many times that the titles are not available! How long must we wait for proper content over PSStore?
And I never expected all this discrimination towards PS3 users in relation with the Fallout DLC! I guess they will make us buy the GOTY edition and two times the same game! Shamefull! I wish i decided to buy a XBOX instead of the PS3.
This is hard times indeed, but someone has to make money…

I feel so frustrated that i wish i never knew or played Fallout!

A very disappointed Client

hi mike ,no answers anywhere on hustle kings release date and price, disc or download or both?????????? ur the man any clues???????
